6681 not getting detected by update software
the 6681 is detected by PC suite but not by the update software..plz help me on this
First go to www.nokia.com/softwareupdate and enter your product code (should be found on the back of the device) and check if there is any new SW upgrade for your phone.
If no, then NSU might not get this.

Also, check that you are using only root USB ports...no hubs (sometimes the front-side ports are hubs...use a rear USB port). And make sure to try disabling USB power management in your system configuration (Device Manager).
Also check on conflicting software...it has been reported that the software package NTI Shadow&Ninja can cause a conflict; removing them and reinstalling the BB desktop software allows it to install correctly.
Apologies in advance if this is redundant -- there's no way to be sure if you've already seen and tried these. Also apologies if any are not presently available...RIM takes them up and down at will as they revise things.

i have an iphone 4 with 4.3.2 version, i want to upgrade the software. but my phone is not getting synchronised on itunes and not getting detected. also there is no update software tab under settings.please help me
If your phone isn't being recognized by your computer, you need to follow the steps in this article to resolve that
Also, some basic isolation needs to be done. Does it show up in itunes on any other computers? do you have other cords you can test with to see if it might be the cord? if the phone doesn't show up on any computers, it's likely your phone has a hardware issue

I can not dowload the new updated software for my Ipod touch 4G. When i do I get an error message that says Network connection has timed out. I have done the trouble shooting steps. Downloaded the latest version of Itunes, and checked network connection
Disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall during the download and update usually resolves the timeout error.

Updates not getting detected by some servers
We have a couple of servers our of 250 which did not receive updates since we approve them
All other servers installed the updates fine.
The logs on both of these server state different things,. It seems that they did not even detect any updates were apoproved for them

My last observation will be that this logfile is no longer sorted chronologically... which really makes it impossible to properly analyze.

I want to upgrade the software (currently I have Mac OS X 10.6.4) but when the mac is downloading the new version i get an error message and is not possible get the most updated software: Mac OS X 10.6.8 or either the most recent itunes why?!?!?!
Then you either have a network problem or a hardware problem or a corrupted hard drive. You might try:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
You can also try downloading from another computer on a different network connection. -

I've tried updating in the following conditions:
1. "Over The Air" at one location;
2. On a Windows computer running the latest version of iTunes at the same location;
3. On Mavericks (10.9.4) running the latest version of iTunes (11.4 (18)) at another location;
4. On Mavericks, latest iTunes over a VPN with a server location in US;
5. On Mavericks, using a 3G connection shared from an iPhone;
6. On Yosemite developer preview with a previous version of iTunes at the same location.
I got the same results in most cases except for an occasional error with code 9; I'll try again in other conditions.
Interestingly enough, I've successfully updated my devices to iOS 7.1.2 and to iOS8 GM without any issues at the same location but, of course, no two conditions are exactly the same -
Ipod not getting detected in Windows
I have this iPod shuffle(512 MB) which plays songs perfectly but there is this problem since past few days that its not getting detected at any of the computers. I have downloaded the latest updater n tried installing that also but of no use. I had purchased it from US and now i'm in India.
Please tell me what to do ?
You can contact me on [email protected]the shuffle will only actually work with one itunes library, so what do you mean by "any of the computers". if you haven't already, pick the computer you want to use, ensure that itunes 4.9 and the latest updater s/w is installed, then conect your shuffle, and under explorer reformat the shuffle. then disconnect and re-connect the shuffle, and reload the updater s/w. this will remove all the tunes from your shuffle, but should work ok

Windows 8.1 will not get Forefront Client Updates from WSUS
Recently I noticed that my Windows 8.1 clients were not getting updates from WSUS 3.2. After some searching I found it was an issue with HTTPS and the solution was to disable HTTPS or enable TLS. So I enabled TLS on the Server 2008 R2 WSUS server
and that fixed the issue with my 8.1 clients not getting updates except for Forefront Endpoint Protection 2010. My SCCM server deploys the client fine but it is version 2.1 and normally the client and definition updates come from WSUS with the
latest client version being 4.5. However, my Windows 8.1 machines will not get the client updates even though they are automatically approved for all machines.
I am just wondering what else I can check or change to make sure my Windows 8.1 clients get the Forefront client updates as they should?? I am wondering if I manually install the 4.1 client update if it will take the client updates after that.
I only have about eight Windows 8.1 machines so if I have to do that by hand for now then I will and I think my organization will be moving to Server 2012 and SCCM 2012 this summer sometime.I reread your post and have another suggestion. If your SCCM 2007 server is still deploying the old 2.1 FEP client version, then you should install the latest anti-malware platform update for the SCCM server so you can deploy it from there instead of WSUS:

my ipod says it is updated to most current 6.1.6, i use the rdio app and it worked but now with the update it needs 7.0 but i do not get option to update to this what do i do?

My bose companion 5 speakers are not getting detected on Mac Pro. They are working fine with other machines (including friend's mac)
Same Issue here. I had a similar issue with my Bose USB speakers when I upgraded to Maverick. I've had the speakers since 2010 and had no issue with my 2006 Mac Pro or my iMac till the Maverick upgrade, contacted both Apple and Bose with no luck but an Apple update fixed the issue.
I wonder if other USB speakers have an issue or is it just BOSE USB speakers. But my Companions did work fine with my Mac Pro and iMac 27 till the Yosemite update with an initial issue with the Maverick upgrade it was definitely an Apple issue not Bose. I have both Boise Airplay and Blue tooth speakers that seem OK it is only the USB Companions that don't work.
Will look forward to a solution.

Check and make sure u have itunes on you PC and then double check that your stuff is plugged in
