You can do the *228 reset every month or so just for maintenance and to keep your phone updated.

  • Picture messaging problems for EnV 3

In the past few days, I have been having picture messaging problems. When a Non-Verizon person sends me a picture, it says connecting (as it should) but just continues to say connecting. I never receive the picture. It just says failed if I let it continue to connect. When I receive a picture message from a Verizon person, it also says connecting and I allow it to go until it stops. It never shows a loading bar like it used to but the "connecting" screen will eventually disappear and I can view the picture. It works but, its very slow and it doesn't show the loading bar like it used to.
I also have problems sending picture messages. Again, the connecting screen comes up when sending a picture but no loading bar. I usually let it go for 30 seconds and I'll end up cancelling it. BUT, a friend of mine did end up receiving the picture even though it never said message sent on my phone.
Any help with these problems? I haven't done anything different than I used to and I have had the phone for almost a year and a half now. Everything has been fine until now.

  • Picture messaging problems

I have had my droid for over a year now, and in the last month I have begun experiencing issues when sending or receiving pictures via text. If i try sending a photo - the same way I had for the first year of phone ownership - the message status is sending. I have had one message keep the sending status for 3 weeks, and it never went. I didn't change any of my settings -it just stopped sending.
Also, when receiving pics via text I am now asked to download them - which can take up to 5 minutes per picture.
Phone signal is fine, other non-pic texts go through fine, Internet access is speedy, but for some reason I cannot send pics or receive them like I used to.
    Any ideas?

  • Nokia 6700 Classic MSN Messenger Problem

For some reason i cant even sign into MSN i was never able to. I have 3.5G access here and am able to surf the net with it but not eable to go on MSN. Did anyone on here have this problem?

I would love to know the solution to this as I am seriously thinking of going back to my 6500 slide due to people thinking I am a dalek when they call me.
I don't understand how when I call out or use the phone through my car's handsfree system there is no problem.
I absolutely love the simple design of the 6700 and would love it even more if I didn't have to phone every caller back when they have given up trying to understand what I am trying to say.
I have turned off the voice clarity feature that  I thought was the issue and still the proplem remains.
Has anyone managed to get anywhere with this?

  • IPhone 3GS picture messaging problems :( :( :(

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this problem? I have an o2 iPhone 3GS 32gb on 4.0.1 os. At the moment, my mms isn't working; there's no options to switch it on and off under the 'messages' settings, or no camera in the bottom left corner of my messages screen. Its nothing to do with my cellular data network settings as all of the criteria are filled in. However, there is a carrier update available, but its not actually letting me update for some reason :s it just keeps reappearing every time i go onto itunes :/ ive also tried restoring the phone, and this hasnt worked.
If anyone could please please please help me with this problem, i'd be very grateful, as the last thing i wanna do is send my iPhone away
    Thanks

  • IM not pre installed in 6700 classic

    Hi
I bought a Nokia 6700 classic from ebay which was locked to Orange network. I was trying to activate IM client in the phone but as seen from support forum it seems that IM client should have been pre-installed in 6700 classic. The problem is that my phone does not have that. There is no menu  for accessing IM as given in user manual. I went for software update but for no use. I was wondering what is to be done now.

    Hey everyone,
Those of you that spent a lot of time watching PBS (and more recently BBC America) would recognize this one: Are You Being Served?
The thing that I remember most vividly about the series, of course, is Mrs. Slocombe's ever-changing hair color.
As far as Golden Girls, Designing Women and Soap are concerned though they have all been released in DVD format over the past couple of years:

    Hope this helps you out!

  • 6700 classic problem

    Hi,
I've just started to have a problem with my 6700 classic phone. When I send a text message it places the message in the "outbox" menu whilst the message is sending before transfering it automatically into the "sent messages" section once the text is sent.
This evening however it has stopped doing that, the message stays in the "outbox" section and the moving arrows at the top of the screen (which indicate the text message is sending) are remaining highlighted and moving and my messages are sending 2 or 3 times.
Any advice, songs, quotes, limericks, anecdotes or stories would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    DaveB

    Yo!
I don't know what it exactly may be, but you could try to turn it off, pull out the battery and see...
If the reboot won't fix it I it might be a network issue, so no need to cry my friend, don't bother pulling out that tissue.
Having thousands of text might cause this behavier... so deleting some of the messages, might be your savior!
    Cheers

  • Problem in delivering Picture Messages through Java SMPP client

I m working on development of SMPP Client, using Java. In its development I didnt used any API from eny vendor, and implemented purely in Java. I am facing one unusual problem in receiving of Picture Messages. Also, I have one C based client application.
    I m sending picture message through both client application(s) to be delivered over different handset(s). I have tested many different cases, but could not conclude to any solution. The behavioral cases are as follows;
When I sent same picture message through Java SMPP client on Nokia 1100, it get received with prompt Picture Message Received. And on viewing it, Message cannot be displayed, is informed and no picture message get displayed. Till now it happens for every caseto this handst, but get properly displayed on Nokia 32xx / 53xx.
Whereas while sending through the C SMPP Client on Nokia 1100, sometime it get displayed and sometimes it doesnt. Same prompts follows on not receiving right picture message while using Java SMPP Client
    I m not understanding why;
It doesnt get delivered correctly a picture message, every time I submits it to deliver on 1100 while sending through C based,
And why It doesnt get delivered correctly at all while sending through Java SMPP client on 1100 whereas it get delivered correctly over other Nokia model handset.
Kindly, anyone make me solve out the prob.

    Hi,
Even we have implemented the Java SMPP client, to sending the picture message as embeded SMS.
If you do not have issue to share the SMPPClient which is sending the picture message, I can look into the code and help you. Let me know, I can share my personal email id.

  • Problem sending MMS/Picture messages

Wondering if anyone else is having this problem:
I'm finding that if i try to send someone a picture message along with a typed message, as soon as i hit send i get a little message saying its converting and then it just stays stuck on "sending". It never actually sends the message.
I realized this two days later when a friend said they had not received my text. I resent the picture without a typed message and then they suddenly received BOTH pictures (the original with the message and the new one).
Sounds like a weird software to me? Any thoughts?

Thank you everyone for reporting this issue. I can understand that it would be frustrating to have to try multiple times to send the same message. I have a Nexus myself and tried with a few other Nexus' here and was not able to duplicate the issue. Since there are multiple people having this issue, I will escalate this issue to our product team to further investigate this issue. I will need more details to troubleshoot. Do you notice this only happening in a certain location? Does it happen when picking up 3G, 4G or both? Do you get an error message or what exactly happens when trying to send MMS? Does this happen only when the signal is low, or with full signal?
Also, try removing the battery and SIM card for about 30 seconds. Toggle airplane mode and network mode for a few seconds, then retest.

  • Problem with picture message

    Hello Sony Ericsson,
Few months ago I bought "sony ericsson phone W995" and I enjoy this phone pretty much except one thing. I cannot send and receive any picture messages. Every time I try to send picture, it says "MMS setting missing," then I click "install now" but it doesn't work. I did contact my provider "T-Mobil" and they tried their best but they don't have manual setting for this model W995. So I was suggested to contact manufacture that you guys send me a "missing manual setting" to my phone. Unfortunately, after few contacts with Sony Ericsson manufacture I still didn't resolve the problem because manufacture said that I have to talk with my provider about this problem and that I need to have internet on my phone for picture messages. So I do have internet, but as I mentioned above my provider doesn't have "Manual setting" for this model. Can someone help me to resolve this problem please? If in order for my phone to work (picture messaging) I need to buy "setting" I will buy it, just let me know how can I fix such problem. I really need picture messages setting on my phone. And just to let you know, don't send me to my provider because it would not work (I did few times).
    Thanks

What do you mean "change network?" Do you mean change mobile company? I actually pretty much happy with my mobile company, and I been member of T-Mobile for 5 years. So it doesn't sound reasonable for me to change mob.comp. just because of such issue. I think there should be negotiation between carrier and phone maker that the customers would be happy and that they wish to use their (T-mob, and Sony..) products in the future. Customer satisfaction should be priority number one for both of you in order for your buisness to be successesful.  I would be happy if someone could help me with my phone. It is kind of unusual that mms was not installed in the phone by manufacture. All phone programs should be in there already and the carrier’s responsibility is to make them functional (that is how I understand such business). Also, recently I realized that somehow my phone is able to receive pict. messages and some of them can be opened (not all), but I cannot send any pict. messages(it says "message failed"). So maybe something else is the issue?
    Thanks,

  • Problem with picture messages - help!

    Hi,
I have a Blackberry Curve 8520.  I was initially with Orange and was able to receive and view picture messages on my device, no problem.  I have recently changed provider to Virgin, and now am being directed to a web page to view picture messages.  Have followed directions to go through advanced options, host router, register now, etc but its still not working.
Any ideas?  Its driving me nuts!
    Thanks :-)

    Hi leighpat79
Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums
Are you able to send any MMS messages from your BlackBerry  ?
Try those steps in the same sequence :
    1- Register your Handheld .
KB00510 : How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Wait till a Registration messages comes in your message box.
    2- Resend your Service Book
KB02830 : Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
( Wait till a Registration Message comes in your message box for each email that you have configured on your device )
3-  Then perform a battery pull restart like this while the device is powered On remove your battery wait for a min. then reinsert it back
I assume you alreday have sufficient data plan from your present Carrier which allow MMS or you have to call your carrier to confirm that .Try it and let us know.
