6980 wont stop printing report pages

Help-My 6980 Deskjet has recently started printing report pages after every print job.  It seems to go into quiet mode on its own, prints the job and then continues to print multiple report pages until I turn it off.  Of course I'm out of warranty so no help from support.

Sorry using XP PRo with a wireless connection.  No troubles there.

  • How do you stop printing test page everytime you turn on printer

Have psc1350 all in one. How do I stop printing test page everytime I turn the printer on.

The page that is printing is an alignment page.  It will be printed after a cartridge is changed, and will continue to print when the printer is turned on if the alignment is not successful.  After the alignment page prints you need to place the page face down on the scanner glass and press the "Scan" button to complete the alignment.  See your user manual for details.

  • 8600 and 8610 Printer keeps printing report pages

    Hi
    Can anyone help please?
I have a 8600 and a new 8610.  Since purchasing the 8610 and networking them all to my computer, every time I print anything I get a print report sheet.  I have tried everything I can think of, and am wasting tons of paper on this.  It also messes up print jobs as it prints between each job.
    Help!
    Eva

    Hi Evawishes,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I understand everytime you print to your HP Officejet 8610, you get a report page after each print. I would like you to go ahead and Restore to defaults, you will be required to enter your wireless information again, but hopefully this fixes the issue of the print report page. Follow the steps listed below from the front panel of your OJ 8610:
Setup Menu > Tools > Restore Factory Defaults > Yes
Please let me know if this resolves the extra page printing, I will watch for your reply.
    Thanks,
    HevnLgh

  • Stop printing multiple pages on one sheet

When printing from Acrobat or Reader, the print preview and settings show that I am printing a single page on one sheet of paper. However, it actually prints two pages side-by-side on one sheet of paper. How would I stop this? This is the only program that does this. I have checked all printing settings in all Adobe products as well as the printer settings in the device's properties. Your help is greatly appreciated.

It seems like an issue the with PostScript drivers installed on the machine. Did you install the latest version of PS Drivers on the customer's machine?
    You can also check this:
    Click on Advanced
    Select PostScript options
    Select Language Level 2
    and then try.

  • How can I set my printer to stop printing blank pages?

It started at 3.6.10 update in FF. Now, printing blank pages. About:config does not show with a list of preferences. I can't find any preferences. Using XP

    Lowercase '''a''' = '''about:config'''
Try a '''''reset''''' of all preferences for that printer as described here: <br />

  • Printer wont stop feeding blank pages

Installed Tiger on G4 Powerbook. HP Photosmart will not print, will just feed blank pages through the printer. Reloaded printer drivers with no success. Any ideas?? Thanks

I was using 10.4.11 and some things were working ok, just wouldn't do faxes correctly. Amongst other quirks I did an archive reinstall and went back to using 10.4.10. My epson printer is doing this very same thing as yours. I have tried uninstalling all and reinstalling all, nothing has changed. Good luck with you

  • How do I dump the buffer of my HP 8500A+. It won't stop printing internet pages

When I turned on my computer this morning the printer started printing pages from the internet home page.  I pressed the cancel button and it stopped briefly and then started up again.  I turned off the printer and waited ten minutes. When I turned it on again it started printing again.  I then shut down my computer but that didn't resolve the problem either.  Does anyone know how I can stop the darn thing from using up all my paper and ink.
Moy operating system is windows 7 home.

Thanks anyway folks.  Once I calmed down and thought it through I figured out the solution.

  • Stop print test page for HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515 All-in-One Printer

How do I stop my HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515 All-in-One Printer from printing a test page every time I STARTED printing????
    This question was solved.

    Hello JoshSimon ,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having an issue with the printer printing off a test page before printing.
If you are shutting the printer off at the end of the day, please don't.  Turning the printer on and off will result in it printing off a test page.  If you are concerned about the printer wasting power and this is why you are shutting down, the unit actually has a built in sleep/stand by mode that will kick in when the printer is not being used.
Once a print job is sent to the printer it will then wake up and do the task at hand.
Also, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.

  • F4440 wont stop pulling empty page half way in

    Hi,
I changed the ink cartridges and printed the allign page. Scanned the page and after that, the printer pulls in a page half way and stops. The left LCD display flashes, saying there is a paper jam. Pushing the x button or turning of the printer off and back on, ejects the page and pulls in another page half way.
I unplugged the printer for a few hours, thinking it may reset itself, but nope....still pulling in half a page.
    How can I stop this???
    Thanks for any help.

  • Removed crossword puzzle app wont stop printing

I removed the New York times crossword puzzle that I previously added to my D110a printer.  However, it keeps printing every Sunday.  How do I get it to stop.  Very annoying.  The app is not showing on the printer screen or on eprint website, so it sure appears to be removed.

    Hey thurman9701!
I can definitely understand your frustration. There is a specific way you have to remove a scheduled delivery app from the printer. Since you've already removed it, you will have to re-add the app and then follow these steps to remove it.
Go to hpeprintcenter.com and cancel your subscriptions. (In the app settings) Then remove the app. Changing any subscription can take 24 hours to take effect also.
If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!

  • HP LaserJet 4MP Printing Blank Pages

    Hi there,
This is perhaps OT, but a recent issue with my HP LJ 4MP is causing me great anguish and heartache.
Suddenly, for no apparent reason, my HP is producing blank pages. It just runs and runs spewing out blank pages.
I've tried all the IO resets and a cold reset. Unplugging and leaving idle. Unplugged the Asante bridge between the serial and the CAT 5.
After a while I can get it to stop printing blank pages, it works fine for a while, then the interminable blank pages start again.
Has anyone seen such an issue? Any known resolution?
    Thanks a bunch,
    Matthew

    Matthew,
I too use HP LaserJet 4MP and AssanteTalk Bridge connected to computer via ethernet crossover cable and link from Assante to both my LJ4MP and HPDeskJet855cse, using BelKin QuikNet adapters in a string using RJ11 jumper cables.
My HP driver software is HP8.1.1.
    I Never use "BackGround Printing".
I Never use "DeskTop Print Monitor".
The only time I can remember multiple blank copies is when I used to use "Print Monitor and BackGround Printing".
Clear your preferences and get rid of Print Monitor and Don't use BackGround Printing.

  • HP LaserJet 1320 no print on page

HP LaserJet 1320 stopped printing on page.  Paper comes out of printer but No ink on page.  No ink on test page.
    New toner cartridge---

There are only a few pieces that could be defective when troubleshooting print defects with laser printers.  To know for sure you should perform what is known as a half way/half page test: http://www.printertechs.com/printer-troubleshooting/halfway-test Run the test, find out where the defect starts and replace the component responsible for it.  If you cannot find replacement parts then its time to trash that printer and move on.

  • Pixma MG5420 stops printing midway through picture

Printing out a handful of 4"X6" borderless postcards. It will print several at a time, or maybe not even finish one, and just stop. No message on the display. The only thing I see in the console on the Mac is "Canon_MG5400_series: File "/Library/Caches/com.apple.ipp2ppd.Canon MG5400 series.icns" not available: No such file or directory", which I think is an ignorable error.
What causes a printer to just stop printing mid-page and think it's done? Ink levels look good, paper feed looks good...
    Thanks!

  • K8600 stops printing

hello, i have a k8600 and it stops printing mid-page or does not print at all.
    i have tried...
turning it off, unplugging it, disconnecting from network
when i turned it off and unplugged it, then hooked it back up it would print a page or two then revert to its abnormal behavior
i have uninstalled/reinstall from my PC, uninstalled/reinstalled (and completely delete) drivers
this just started happening, no changes in system, and is happening to all the @15 people who (try to) use it
any help would be most appreciated

Hi - A couple of things to check:
    - First, verify that the K8600 is the default printer driver or the selected printer in whatever program you're printing from (probably is, but wanted to double check).
    - Second, in many cases this is a communication related issue (even if it is intermittent).  Try disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable from both the printer and computer.  If that doesn't resolve it, I'd try another USB cable.
    Hope that helps.
