  • MicroSD card support for 808 PureView an Nokia N8-...

    Hello community,
this is just an Information from my personal experience.
Yesterday I bought a 808 PureView and inserted a Sandisk Ultra Class 10 micro SD with UHS-I.
    http://www.amazon.de/dp/B007JTKLEK
This memory card does not work with Symbian Belle Feature Pack 1 Software Version 112.020.0311 which is dated 2012-06-26. The same micro SD card does work very well in my Nokia N8-00 with Symbian BelleRefresh Software Version 111.040.1511 dated 2012-07-28.
I'm currently investigating which high speed 32GB micro SD will work in the Nokia 808 PureView.

  • Is there a flush microsd card adapter for MBP?

So I have a late 2013 13" Retina MacBook Pro and I have to say I'm surprised at how the SD adapter comes out as far as it does when inserted.  I would think with the usual Apple design that if someone were to use and SD card, they wouldn't want it sticking out that far.
Anyway, is there a microSD card adapter that exists which would be much more flush with the unit?  I'd really prefer it not sticking out as far as it does. Thank you.

    mva5580 wrote:
I think that'll do, thanks!  I'd prefer a microSD adapter since I already have the 64gb card but if that's my option, then that's my option.  Too bad there's not an 128gb version for the 13" 2013 Pro, I'd probably buy it.
There are many other options it there, however you didn't appear to finding any, so I gave you some examples.
There are a lot for the Raspberrypi, but I don't know how the MBP slot would handle them…
    http://www.adafruit.com/products/966
    http://quilix.com/pio
If the MBP SD reader is spring loaded (if it pushes back to pop out the card) I'd consider trying one from Adafruit (it's cheap enough) you should be able to 'press it out' with the spring if it goes too far in!
I'd spend some time comparing sizes to a normal card though & see it it looks right - the last thing you want is a blocked slot
There must be a Micro SD card version for the Retina MBP, that was just the first one on Amazon, try any other sellers local to you.

  • SDXC card support for cRIO 9031 Linux Real Time

The cRIO9031 with Linux Real Time did not support SDXC cards. Only SDGC with a maximum of 32GB supported by cRIO.
For logging application their is a need for more than 32GB => use of SDXC cards with 128/256 GB

    Hi Schott,
Unfortunately, Linux does not have native (in kernel source) support for the exFAT filesystem (required for a device to be labled SDXC). As soon as such a filesystem is supported in Linux, we can enable direct support for exFAT.
In the meantime, there is nothing preventing you from formatting the card in a filesystem type that is supported on the target. FAT32 is unfortunately the most portable, accessible format, of course if you don't need to access the contents of the card from a Windows machine, you can use some of the tools on the RT controller to format the card in a more robust, journalling filesystem such as EXT4.

  • Is this card supported for 3d ray tracing optimized with CUDA?

On the system requirements list for after effects CS6, the 660 is not listed, but I just wanted to double check. According to nvidia's website the 660 supports CUDA optimized functions. There is also the fact that sometimes softwares fail to keep up to date with what hardware works. Is this one of those case?

For a list of supported hardware acceleration cards start at  http://forums.adobe.com/thread/773101 and click the system requirements link
Most nVidia cards that are not in the list may be used for hardware MPE if they have at least 1Gig of video ram, by means of the hack http://forums.adobe.com/thread/629557

  • BCM43227 Wlan Card Support for x230t?

Hi, everyone. I have a thinkpad x230t and recently changed my OS so I need to replace my WLAN card because there's no driver for intel cards.
I checked Lenovo documents, here http://download.lenovo.com/parts/ThinkPad/x230t_fru_bom_20140421.pdf
it says BCM43227 card with FRU number 03T9015 is supported so I made my purchase online. But upon boot on it gives me 1802 error saying it's not a proved card.
The BCM43227 card I have has ID/DEV numbers: 14E4/4358/14E4/0543. I assume it's the same card mentioned in the pdf. I have bios version 2.55, will updating bios solve this problem?
Did anyone have experience with this card? Please help!

    Hi, George:
    Thank you for your reply!
The seller who sold me this card claims it is the same product as 03T9015, it's just Lenovo makes different lables during different periods. I compared this card with 03T9015 pictures online and they appear to have the same Lenovo P/N number and the same Cyber Tan P/N number. But the card I have is mssing the FRU numbers. I'm attaching pictures of both.
    My questions are:
    1. Is my card realy 03T9015?
    2. If this is not, will a real 03T9015 pass the whitelist check?
To my understanding, the way whitelist works is to check the card's Dev/Ven and Sub Dev/Ven numbers. Can someone who has 03T9015 post his/her numbers so I can compare with the one I have?

Wonkanoby is right.  The only option would be a PCI Video Card.  Forget about PCI Express and/or AGP cards.
Probably best to stick with onboard video.

  • PETITION FOR 4GB CARD SUPPORT!

    Hello...
Nokia Users please join this petition for 4GB Card Support for Recent Nokia Phones & Upcoming New Nokia Phones!
Im sure there are owners out there who want the support of 4GB Card. Why is Nokia so Pathetic at listening to our concerns?
Its all simple! the recent models just need firmware teaking (update) so it support 3rd Party Memory Cards! We should benefit this feature from out phones. Theres no such thing as EXTRA hardware required to support 4GB Card ie 4GB Mini-SD, becuase it is the same dimensions n connections & all it needs is Firmware Update!.
However N-Gage, 6280 supports 4GB Card & there were sum screenshots of N80 working with 4GB Card using the old firmware v3.xx.x.xx
Nokia are so pathetic they lock the firmware by not allowing 100% compatible support for 3rd Party cards only Nokia branded Cards!
    ALL WE WANT!...
However we (all nokia onwers) should have our phones supporting 4GB Cards. So uwners who agree please post your comment as i will forward this to Nokia Team. Its about time they took action to this!

    hello,
i have an n80 ie, and at the moment i´ve a 2gb mini-sd, formated with >>>>FAT32 working in it.
At this site /discussions/board/message?board.id=smartphones&message.id=38078 , "shayesta", says, if you format your 4gb-mini-sd in your mobile, it will work. THIS IS NOT TRUE (maybe it depends on fw, but excluding the old 3.xxx , i dont believe at this moment in this.
    I´ve buyed a 4gb mini-sd (NON-HC!!) ,when i try to format it in my n80ie, it says: "memory-card faulty".
When i use the 4gb-card in my pc or in my qtek9100 (mda vario) it works very well!
It may be paranoid, but i think nokia build a limitation in fw, so that u can´t use more than 2gb mem, because they want that we buy early a new mobile, that sopport 4gb officially. And probably with sup. for "sd-hc" , what on the other hand costs extra money for the "hc"(NON-HC WORX WITH FAT32 TOO, so thats not the difference!)
FACT IS, the n80 CAN work with 4gb, but nokia barricades this function. (I bet every n-series mobile could work since a year with 4gb-card if nokia wouldn´t be so obsinate).
I have not much hope for this great "4gb" fw-upgrade, but i wish the best.
so long, greetz (sry for my bad english, i´m a man from ger, german)

  • How to sync music to the N8's MicroSD card

I bought a 32GB MicroSD card for my N8 so that I had enough capacity to store all of my MP3s. Unfortunately I can't convince Ovi Music Player to sync music to that location. It always tries to sync the music to the N8's 16GB internal storage area despite there not being enough capacity to do so.
Is there any way to configure either Ovi Music Player or the N8 to use the MicroSD card exclusively for the music library? It's making me very frustrated.

    carman58 wrote:
Putting Music on ANY Nokia phone is very simple !! All you need to do is make sure the music has artwork embedded before transfer  and the track and album info is correct. Once the music is in a state where it is fit to be put on the phone, it doesn't matter if you sync with Ovi Suite, Ovi Music, Windows Media Player or whatever. !!

Whilst I hear what you say, carman, just search for the number of threads relating to the problems many people have (and I have had corrupted libraries, album art missing, etc, and I am a fairly experienced user) just trying to get music into a library.  IF it was working, as it should, then the facilities provided by Nokia should just transfer the music in a easy standard way, complete with artwork, to your desired location, and you should end up with a working music system and a completely updated working library.  There should be ONE recommended way of doing it, which should be fairly automatic, simple, reliable, safe and should just work.  That situation does not exist.
Now, I am not saying providing flexibility by providing other alternatives is not desirable. What I AM saying is that Nokia should be able to say - "if you do it this way, then it will work correctly."  From the number of people who have problems with music transfer and libraries, it is obvious that this message has not reached the mass of the users. Whether that is an inability to provide such a feature, or an inability to communicate what it is, and how to use it, Nokia is falling down somewhere. To be honest, after trying to transfer my music to my sd card, unsuccessfully, and then getting advice to go into the file structure and delete files, I gave up and just loaded it onto the phone.  Why should an end user (most of whom, like my mother, are not as technically competent as me) need to start searching for and deleting files just to get their music library working? No wonder the restrictive practices implemented by Apple have been lauded (although I don't like that company because of it!).  At least they have made their product relatively user-friendly, which is a BIG plus when you are dealing in this sort of area. Not everybody is capable of dealing with the sort of problems people seem to encounter doing something as simple as loading music (in fact, probably the majority ....). It should just work!  This lack of ability to 'keep it simple' has been the downfall of Nokia. Their developers provide superb bells and whistles, but seem not to have grasped the fact that bells and whistles are fantastic to have, AS LONG AS THE BASICS ARE ROCK SOLID. And from my experience, transferring music to an sd card is no way a simple or rock solid process, without you doing a lot of digging to find out how to do it successfully - hence all the posts. KISS!

  • Support for new Nvidia Quadro gpu?

When support for new Nvidia Quadro gpu? For example Nvida Quadro K2200 and K4200
    Thk

What do you mean when you say "support"? All of After Effects OpenGL features already work on those cards.
The only thing that isn't supported on those cards is GPU acceleration of the ray-traced 3D renderer, which is an obsolete and almost entirely irrelevant feature. No more GPUs will ever be added to the list of cards supported for that feature.

  • Ext4 format support for microSD cards on Galaxy S5?

Can we get ext4 format support for microSD cards on Galaxy S5? New permissions that come on KitKat break some of my apps that need local storage. The enhanced permissions available with EXT4 should fix this as that is the internal Flash format. "Use the cloud" is a non-starter so don't even suggest it.

Not directly, but as a large customer they have a big say in what gets loaded in the ROM as evidenced by the many (unwanted) preloaded apps. Adding EXT4 file system support to restore Verizon's end customer user experience is something they can insist on. It is a simple requirement to add when the end manufacturer builds a custom ROM for Verizon. The underlying system already supports it and alternative ROMs (CM) have been created with that feature. I'm just not ready to install alternative ROM code on a phone that was just released, and only a week in my possession.
