7.3.1 killed wireless printing (Samsung ML-2510)

OK. It looks like 7.3.1 has killed my wireless printing.
If I attempt to print anything it takes several min for anything to print. When it finally does i get this page that says "Internal error - False"
I have A Mac Pro, A Mac Book Air, and a mac mini. The printer works fine when connected directly to any of these three systems. When it's connected either of my Airport Base Station Extreme(n) routers (Original and Gigabit versions) I get the problem above.
I don't think this is a Drive issue or a Samsung issue. This printer worked just fine before the 7.3.1 update. All my systems are running OS X 10.5.2 with all updates. The printer was working before the 7.3.1 update.
Is this a know issue? any plans to fix this? where can iI report this directly to apple?

Hi,
no solution but same issue to report.
I migrated our imac G5 from Panther (yes, you read it correctly) to Leopard (with all updates) and boom no more wireless printing. Same Printer, same error message : ML-2510, "Internal error...". It works fine if plugged directly via USB but the airport express device is useless for now
Come on Apple, fix it. We have a bug here, right ?

  • 10.5.2 update kills wireless printer?

I updated to 10.5.2 last night and noticed today that I could no longer wirelessly print via Airport Express. My set up is MacBook to Airport Express to Samsung ML-2510. Had no problems with this setup with 10.5.1 - also hooking up my MB to the printer directly via USB cable worked.
Also, has anyone noticed that if they turn off their USB printer on Airport Express it kills iTunes as well? Usually have to power cycle the Airport Express to get it working again.
    Any help is appreciated- thanks

I am having the same problem as well. I could print fine using airport express to my Samsung CLP-300. No problems this past year, until just last week. I have tried everything imaginable, including replacing my USB cable. I can print fine when directly connected to my MacBook, but every time I attempt to print wirelessly through my airport express, it never makes it to the printer. It hangs up and eventually gives me the message that the "device is in use". I installed 10.5.2 last week. Here apparently lies the culprit. I am hoping for a fix soon, or I am dead in the water.

  • Printer Update 2.16 Killed Wireless Printing on my Epson SX600FW

I have been using an Epson SX600FW for several years and I don't remember having a problem with it until I recently allowed Software Update to install Printer Update 2.16 and since then I have been unable to print via wireless. I can still print via USB but I won't bore you with how much of a nuisance it is for me to have to do this but it is a major pain.
When I try to print via wireless, everything looks normal until after the document has spooled and then the printer window simply says 'looking for printer'.
In Preferences, the printer looks OK with a small green circle next to it but in the printer's utility, it states that the printer is not responding even though it gives ink levels.
I have tried installing the drivers from Epson's site - they are dated 2008 so I doubt they are the latest but they didn't work anyway. Even after that, Software Update doesn't seem to think that the old drivers need updating.
I have read on here of other people's problems with this update not just with Epson printers. Is there any way to revert to how my Mac was a week ago without doing a full Time Machine restore?
I'm pretty annoyed that an update has broken something which has worked for years.

    I have a solution
I have a workforce 850 but encountered the same problem. Here's the steps I took to fix:
Went to the printer. and printed a network connection report. (the printer should of course be connected to your wireles network). Obtain the IP address
    Turn off the printer.
Go to Apple menu (upper left on desktop) > System Preferences > Printers & Scanners. Delete the print queue and remove the printer by clicking on the button under the list of printers. Click OK to confirm the removal.
Press the CTRL button on the keyboard and click on the white box on the left (where the printers should be listed) and click on Reset Printing System. (Note: This step deletes all installed printers on the list. You will need to re-add all printers installed on this computer)
Turn on the printer. Click the   button. The system should automatically detect the printer. Click the Add button and try to print.
If the printer doesn't show after the Reset, click the IP tab and enter the IP address obtained in step one
Your printer should now show on the USE pulldown menu. Click Add and try to print

  • Yosemite has killed wireless printing

I updated my wife’s MacBook Air, 13”, Mid 2012 to Yosemite last evening and now it will not print on our local network. I have tried a few things I found here in the forums to no avail.
Neither an HP Officejet Pro 8100 nor a Samsung ML-2010 lazer will work on the network but work fine on my iMac via USB.
Curiously, when I open the Printers & Scanners pref and click on + I get this: HP Officejet Pro 8100 @ Tom Gould’s iMac Intel i5 (2).
Do not recall ever seeing the (2) before. See pics.
When I go to /Library/Printers, there are no files there.
I am stumped. Sounds Like I have to start fresh, but I don’t know what that is.
    Can someone help?

I have tried diligently to make the printers work on my wife’s MBA.
I deleted all files and re-installed the latest printer software.
I was finally able to get the printers re-installed, by manually entering the IPA.
However, and this may be a clue, with no printers installed, when I clicked on the + to add one, I selected the HP printer. A small window opened with a thermometer, saying it was installing the printer.
Then it stopped and an Alert appeared:
“The software for the printer is currently unavailable. Please contact the printers’ manufacturer for the latest software.”
    Hmmmmmm.

  • Mac OS Lion - General Topic - Wireless Printer, Scanner, External Harddrive, Disk Management

    Dear All,
I just fall in the mac world since I got an ipad and then an iphone and was very happy about these product I did purchased a mac mini server (Mac OS Lion 10.7.2 I think, basically the last version available).
But now I need to learn about the Mac OS world and this is not straight forward, particularly regarding my existing hardware devices installation (printer, scanner etc...).
I have some queries below, anyone who could help me is welcome.
    Thanks for all your support,
    Best Regards,
    1. I have a wireless printer Samsung CLP315W for which I could download the driver and print through the USB cable but I did see yet how to make it work through the WI-FI network. I mean in windows, the printer was detected as shared printer on the network. How does it work here ?
    2. I have a scanner canoscan Lide 30 which looks unfortunately not supported by Lion OS: indeed I could download the scanner toolbox labelled for "Mac OS" but I got the message: "PowerPC application not supported".
Do I have any chance to make this scanner working or must I throw it in the paper bin ? (I must say I am not satisfied by my Mac in this respect, I would expect a better compatibility with hardware devices.
    3. I do have an external harddisk with various informations in as pictures, pdf files, offices files (word, excel) etc... This is a LaCie which was NTFS formatted with my previous computer based on windows OS.
At a first instance, it was recognized by my mac OS but all folders appears in read-only.
Do I have a way to apply the change to "full access" for all folders at once ?
Why is it in "read only" in mac OS when it is not under windows ?
Assuming I expect to continue using this disk as external backup but also expect to be able to access to it by windows OS computer, what is the best format ?
    4. I bought a mac mini server with 2*500Go disk, but I just wonder: how to use this disk ? I mean I would see one disk as backup, somehow safe and the second use on daily basis when applications stands.
How does the disk management in general under Mac OS ?

    Hi jean-jack,
The first thing you should look at, is if your are Mac enabled. If they are not, then there is a great chance that they will work badly or not at all.
    About your questions:
    1. Normally a Mac is supposed to detect it automatically and make it ready to use (try printing a document to see if this works). If your Mac doesn't recognize it, you can always add it manually in "printing and scanning" in your system preferences. This is accesible by just entering it in Spotlight (magnifying glass in the upper right corner) and adding it via the "+" icon (you may have to enter your password first using the lock in the lower left corner). After that he should recognize it as a WiFi printer and you should be able to use it.
    2. Since it concerns an older scanner, it is simply not supported by Lion (Lion doesn't support PowerPC applications anymore). Therefore it is sadly ready for the trash can.
    3. To change the accesibility of your hard disc to "full acces" you have to ctrl+click on the hard disc in Finder. In the drop down menu, you'll see the option "info". This option will open a small screen that allows you to adjust the settings for "sharing and responsibility" (found at the very bottom). Nevertheless I highly recommend you to format your hard disc to "exFAT" or "FAT32", because they give a much better compatibility to your Mac and are also readable on a Windows computer. You can do this by entering "disc aid program", once again in Spotlight. In this little program you are able to adjust the format of every single hard disc connected to your computer. Also not that this progress will completely erase all the files on your hard disc.
    4. To split the hard disc into partitions, you can use the same program explained above. Simply choose your hard disc and press "adjust size". Here you can divide your hard disc into different partitions, which will be seen as different hard discs.
    Good luck!

  • Connect to wireless printer

I just bought a wireless printer (Samsung CLP-315W) and would like to connect it to ma MacBook air.
The instructions says that first of all U should create a adhoc network on my Mac:
System Preferences, network settings, open the network name list and choose"airportthrue".
But there is no "airportthuru"-possibility in the list. What do I do to create the adhoc network??
    Thanks

the option your looking for is "create a network" the fastest way to do this is: menu bar, airport menu, "create network..."
or alternatively you could do: menu bar, apple menu, system preferences, networking, click on airport, under the pull down menu "network name" chose "create Network..."
Do you already have a wireless network you use to brows the internet? If so is there a reason your printer can't join that network?
I'm asking this because, you will not be able to join other wireless network while using "create network". witch means if you get your internet over wifi, you won't be able to brows the internet and print.

    Hi,
I'm not familiar with the activate access control so I wont be able to help you with that.
Have you installed the HP eprint app and tried to print from within the HP eprint app? I think the HP eprint app is your best hope for wireless printing from your device.
If both the printer and phone are on the same network, you should be able to see the printer within the app and print to it.

  • HT4356 I was gifted a new Samsung wireless printer model ML-2165W, it works with my desk top and lap top but can't get it to work with IPad.  Did I just receive a "boat anchor" printer in the eyes of Apple?

I was recently gifted a new Samsung wireless printer Model # ML-2165W and while it works fine with all my computers, I can't make it print from my IPAD.  Was I given a "boat anchor" in the eyes of Apple?

It looks like your printer isn't on the list of air print enabled printers. It'll still work, you just need to do some tweaking.
You can see if samsung has any apps to enable printing.
    or
You can look into a third party app like Print n Share or Print Central.
Then you can print from your iPad.

  • Problem with Printing via Wireless Router - Samsung scx4300

    Hi! I need your help:
I'm trying to install a new printer (samsung SCX 4300), via a wireless router (IP:192.168.0.1) but when adding it, it looks inactive and I'm nit able to print. Like if IP address is occupied. I use lpd + Ip address but Print and Fax system doesn't find it. I've already installed the most recent drivers. Any solutions?
    Many thanks for your time!

    HI,
Try here: Mac OS X v10.6: Printer and scanner software
    Repair disk permissions.
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

  • Samsung tablet wireless printing

Hello, and Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Samsung has hard-coded the "Print" function to look for their own printers.
To properly use ePrint, you have to choose "Share" instead, then direct the file to ePrint or email the file as an attachment to your printer.
The latter solution assumes you have registered your printer with HP Connect and have received the email address for it.
Another solution is a $13 option.  There are two programs in the Play Store that work well for Samsung devices - PrinterShare and PrintHand.  I used them both to print to my wifi printer, and the BlueTooth OfficeJet 150.
(I am not affiliated with either app, just an end user).

  • Connecting Samsung Wireless Printer w/MacBook

Im having great difficulty trying to set up wireless printing between my MacBook and a Samsung ML-2955DW wireless printer. I wanted to check in on these forums first, before calling Samsung, because, admittedly, I need help with the basics. And, I would like to gain a better understanding about what it is Im supposed to be doing before speaking with them.
    The "Players" are as follows:
    -MacBook 2GHZ Intel Core2 Duo... w/System 10.5.8
    -(2006) PowerMac G5... w/System 10.4.11
    -Samsung ML-2955DW Printer
    -Airport Express Brick 802.11n
-Realtek WLAN Wireless Wifi USB Adapter
My first question is... is this even possible with the set-up that I have? My G5 does not have Airport built in. I had to buy the Wireless Wifi USB Adapter to plug into the back so that my MacBook could link with it.
I was going with the notion that it is possible and tried to set-up the printer according to what the Samsung instruction book calls an Infrastructure Mode Set Up; that is–connecting to the printer via a router. For this set-up they show a diagram where the supplied USB cable connnects directly into the back of the Desktop computer.  The directions continue with how to change the IP address, Subnet Mask, etc... and then they end. So am I to assume that if I am able to complete the installation process to my Desktop computer I will then be able to install the driver on my MacBook and be able to print wirelessly? I have tried this method with no success at all.
The furthest I got with trying to get a connection was by following directions posted on MacRumors for another wireless Samsung model. They instructed connecting the printer directly to the computer with an ethernet cable (not sure if they meant to connect to the desktop or laptop, I connected it to my desktop, as it wouldnt work at all connecting it to the laptop). I was able to get the IP, Subnet, etc.. info from the printer by doing this and changing it to my network settings via their Sync thru Web method. However, in the end, I could not change the TCP/IP setting to DHCP or set up the wireless printing.
Thank you in advance for any help with this, I can surely use it.

This is for Snow Leopard, which you show you're using - might be of some help. I have a Canon MG8120 which I print to with ease (scan, too). During your setup, you should have had the printer 'seen' on the network.
    Regards,
    Clinton

  • Wireless Printing to from Samsung Tab 3 to HP Photosmart 5520

Why is it I can wirelessly print to my HP5520 from the Tmemo app on my Samsung Tab 3 by utilising the 'Print' option in the 'Menu' button, but can't print an email from the email App.
    I can't find a print icon anywhere?

    Hi,
Are they on a same network ? You have to use HP ePrint app to print. You can also use HP AiO Remote to print but ou need email address of your printer. Please use Google Play/Store to install those apps.
    Regards.

    Hi @
    Thedeb1
Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I see that you would like to learn how to print from your Samsung S5 to your HP printer.
To better assist you, would you please supply some additional information:
What model and product number of HP printer do you have? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
How is the printer connected (USB cable, ethernet, or wireless)? I’m just looking for confirmation that the printer is connected to your home wireless network still.
Was the phone connected to the same wireless network that the printer is connected to?
What version of operating system are you using on your phone? If you are unsure how to find this information, please follow the steps in wikiHow’s How to Figure out Your Mobile Operating System
Are you getting any error messages? If yes, what do they say?
