7.3 update wont open Raw

ok so i have been hanging out to see if the 7.3 update inculeded the Canon 6d raw & yes it dose , ive downloaded and installed yet PS still comes up with this : " if you are attempting to open raw file from a digital camera make sure you have the latest Camera Raw update installed "
is there someway to fix this issue ?? really beyond annoying that i have a camera worth thousands that is just a paper weight at this point im a pro photog so i only shoot raw
when i called adobe about the issue last week i sat on hold for over 2 & half hours { yes i wasnt a happy camper by the end of the call } !!!!!!!! with no help at the end of it really hoping someone here can help

Which OS X version do you have? With Bridge running, can you go to Edit> Camera Raw Preferences... and confirm the build string (at the top). For ACR 7.3 it should read "Version 7.3.0.71".
I've been helping on another post, but with a Win 7 64-bit environment, where Bridge doesn't apear to loading correctly. I haven't figured out a solution for that yet.
What application 'package' did you use to install Ps CS6 and Br CS6 (was it via the CCM subscription, or a single Ps installer, or a Suite installer, etc.)? That was part of asking which Ps version you have (13.0.2 or 13.1). And do you have any other CS6 products installed?

According to Adobe document, you require installation of at least Camera Raw 8.7 for your Nikon 750 for your Photoshop Elements 13 and Premiere Elements 13.

And, I believe based on the following that Photoshop Elements 13 Premiere Elements 13 ships with Camera Raw 8.6.

Consequently, the solution appears to revolve around getting the Help Menu/Updates to work since there is no manual install of Camera Raw 8.7 for 13.
Until the Premiere Elements update problem is resolved, you may have to resort to using the Nikon software. There is also the DNG 8.7 Converter
which you can download from Adobe link, not requiring the Help Menu/Update as does Camera Raw 8.7.

Ipod update wont open

ipod update wont open i tried restoring my pc and repair it i see alot of people are having the same problem i guess im gonna have to call apple

I'm not able to to turn on my IPOD. I tried the 5 suggestions. I'm willing to restore it and start over but there is no IPOD icon in my itunes or in my start-all programs either?
My IPOD just keeps clicking. Any ideas?

Updates for photoshop will not work/wont open raw images

I have tried to update my photoshop and numerous times to open raw images in photoshop and it wont work, everytime i try to do it the installation fails and doesnt explain why and example is :

Might be helpful if there are any more specific messages being shown to list them.
Just passing on what I've read: Some people using PCs have reported that removing Photoshop, reinstalling from their original media, then updating to the very latest works where they haven't been able to get the software updated via the integrated process. I don't know whether this applies to Mac, but it could represent something to try if you run out of options.
But before trying that, have you tried doing a manual installation of the latest updates? You can download the appropriate one(s) directly from the following:

Aperture wont open raw files from my panasonic fz18

Hi Everyone, I have been using aperture 3 for about a year and have no problems opening raw files from my nikon camera but I thought I would use my old panasonic FZ18 when I go kayaking just in case the camera gets wet. To my surprise when I downloaded my raw files into Aperture from my FZ18 they would not open. Is there a codec or program update that will enable Aperture to open my raw files.

The FZ18, FZ35 and later are not supported by Apple RAW processing mostly due to the exotic barrel distortion correction that needs to be applied for wide angle shots. Even Adobe DNG converter will not convert the .RW2 files to DNG unless you use dngsanitize to remove the lens correction metadata. You can then bring the DNG files into Aperture.

PS Elements 5 Wont open RAW files

PS Elements 5 fails to recognize the NEF files my Nikon D40 collects when shooting RAW. The software help says PSE5 will only open RAW files from supported cameras. Is the D40 supported?

Adobe keeps updating camera raw plugins to accomodate new formats in their existing products. You just need to replace the Camera Raw.8bi file in your ~/Program Files/Adobe/Photoshop Elements/Plugins/File Formats folder with the one you dowmload from the link mentioned below.

PSE10 Wont open raw from iPhoto

have a new Mac Air, and have been using Iphoto '11 (9.4.2). I downloaded PSE 10 through the App Store. In Iphoto I have clicked the "advanced" tabs to use PSE 10 as external editor and to export files as RAW. However, whenever I try to open a RAW file in PSE 10, it becomes a JPEG. This is true for both NEF (Nikon d300) and RAF (Fujix-100) files. It is also true whether I try to open the file through Iphoto by clicking the edit button (with PSE 10 as the external editor), or opening the Iphoto file directly through PSE 10. Also, when in Iphoto, it shows the file accurately as either NEF or RAF, and I can use the RAW editing in Iphoto.
Meanwhile, PSE 10 has no problem opening either type as RAW when I use a source different than Iphoto, for example from the memory card directly out of the cameras.
I feel there must be a simple solution to this, but I'm sure not finding it. Any help appreciated.

I may be preaching to the choir here but the following may be of some help to you:
Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop or Photoshop Elememts as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window
that indicates that PS or PSE wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:
I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always. In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:
Note: to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu. If you use iPhoto to edit more than PSE re-select iPhoto in the iPhoto General preference pane. Then iPhoto will be the default editor and you can use the contextual menu to select PSE for your editor when desired.

New Applications and updates wont open

I have a 2nd Gen Ipod Touch, updated to the most recent software. I have 91 apps installed, all work fine. However any I have tried to install in the past week have installed but will not open, They flash up for a moment before returning to the ipod home page. Any of my old apps that I have updated will not work after being updated.
I have done all of the 5 R's, I deleted all the apps I have downloaded since this problem started incase one of them was causing a problem but after i did that and the restarting, resetting and restoring, the problem is still there!
Can anyone tell me what else I can do??

I have had the same problem with my 2G ipod touch (apps flashing open for a second). I also had a problem with not all videos playing. I resolved that with the following forum advice +'A technician from Apple helped me out with this. I had to delete the "Software Update" file from my Library folder. Then, I went back and restored my iPod Touch. I had to reset my personal settings and sync options, but it works beautifully now. Thank you Apple!'+ I did this too, you essentially go to Finder/library/itunes and trash the ipod software updates folder. Then connect up the ipod, click on its icon in itunes, click retsore on the overview page and treat it as a new ipod (not restore the old one) but you can give it the same name. All the songs will re sync, however having done this my films all played AND the apps all worked perfectly (as I write this my daughter is playing on balloon animals.

Safari doesnt work and software update wont open

i have os x 10.3.9 and my safari doesnt work anymore, as well as software update. does anybody know how to install it back onto the computer from the os cd? or where can i download safari 1.3 (full version)? the apple web site does not have it, it only has updates.

Try deleting the com.apple.Software update plist from Home/Library/Preferences. Safari can be reinstalled from your install disk. It may be listed under optional installs or custom installs. Safari 1.3 is terribly out of date and will crash on many sites. A better alternative is Camino which has the look and feel of safari and is quite stable.

Third party software updates wont open on leopard

I've recently downloaded two or three third party software updates (Neooffice and VMware fusion examples). After the large downloads disk utility seems to mount a disk image successfully after which you usually get a new page containing a 'upgrade software' yellow and orange cube, a read me file and an uninstall option. When I double click the 'upgrade software' cube it starts to expand as if its going to do something and then nothing, nothing at all ! Normally on Tiger hitting this update cube will initiate the upgrade but on my Leopard I seem to be drawing a blank on third party software. The apple software updates seem to function correctly.
Any ideas ?

I would first try redownloading the software updates. If that fails, I would make a backup of your system with Time Machine and do a clean install of Mac OS X, though I really don't think this is a system issue.

Safari and Software Update wont open anymore when connected to internet.

My Safari and Software update and Internet Explorer cannot connect to the internet anymore after 4 years even when I'm connected to the internet... I once got a 'Posix 54' error message. Firefox does not have a problem!

hi. just purchased elements 12 as i was told it would open my canon d70 raw files. have installed elements 12 and done the update from the update box in elements but still it wont open raw files. any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is probably a way to hack your system into work with ACR 8.3 using the plug-in ZIP file from this page and copying it manually to the specific folder where it needs to go:

just bought a panasonic gx7 camera unable to open the raw files in lightroom 4,elements 9 and elements 11. have downloaded dng 8.2 still wont open raw files

You can't just download the DNG converter. It has to be installed. It is a standalone program that you must run independently from Lightroom. You choose a FOLDER in the DNG converter, and it will convert all the images in that folder. Have you tried to do these things?

RAW wont open for nikon d7100- wont let me update raw plugin

I just got a new camera- nikon d7100- i switched form nikon d5000. I can not open raw files with the 7100. i have tried downloading the upgrade for the plug in, i have tried tech support to where they took over my computer- still nothing. it will still open raw files from the d5000. Can't open raw file after update 6.6 camera raw

Just updated camera raw in photoshop 5 on a mac pro running 10.6.8 os wont open a raw file and program freezes and must force quit to close. Lightroom update has problems as well. Don't recommend updating to either

Same Problem. Everything worked fine until ACR 6.6 install just now on Windows 7 machine (CS 5 Production Premium). Bridge/Photoshop can no longer read my Canon 5D Mark II RAW files, but work fine with older Canon camera RAW files, TIF's, jpegs. How do I uninstall just ACR 6.6 and reinstall ACR 6.5 without doing anything else? Thanks.
