7.5.1 - Errors from Media Server when adding or changing cameras

I am getting a couple of different errors when trying to add or change cameras that are associated to one of my media servers.
I have added screenshots of the errors that I have found.
Any help would be appreciated.....
Steve

Hi Steve,
The initial error message looks like VSOM is attempting to provision 65GB of estimated storage prior to starting a new archive, and that there isn't a VSMS instance with sufficient storage for the request.  Is there?
The camera change screenshot I'm not 100% on, but my gut tells me the camera you are trying to swap in may not be at an appropriate firmware level for VSM 7.5.1.  Check the release notes for VSM 7.5.1 and ensure the camera you are adding is at the minimum FW required.
The server health / NIC usage message is the most unexpected one in my opinion.  Is this VSMS instance physical or virtual?  What speed is the NIC negotiated at? If its negotiated at 1000MBps as it's supposed to be, it would imply that you're ingress traffic is near 930 MBps?  That is monsterously excessive if that's the case.
Can you provide any additional detail?
Cheers!

  • Email Alert/Notification from OSX Server when client status changes?

    Hi,
    I'm looking at either OSX Server or ARD to manage a network of 'client' mac minis.
    One requirement is that the system should alert - by email or other form - when a client's status changes (such as Offline, Sleep, Network Down, etc).
    Does OSX Server offer that function?
    Thank you for your help.

    Something like Dejal Simon might work for you. I don't know of any way for a Mac to detect whether the monitor is turned off or not, though.

    it tells me that there's an error on the server when i enter my password. what can i do???

    This is not an issue with Firefox, your message actually confirms this by the error you listed. "There was an error on the server" Firefox is only an internet browser basically, the connection to the internet & such local configuration is outside external from Firefox, the server is on the host side of the connection. It sounds like you have a bad connection between the server & your computer which Firefox has nothing to do with, rather it is your local network. I would actually check out Windows 7 VPN support, you need to setup a virtual private network VPN which is basically a secure connection stable enough to support the bandwidth required to facilitate the meeting.
    This is why you are also having the problem with Internet Explorer as you need to correctly configure a VPN connection via windows if your connection supports it.

    ok sorry everyone but i solved it myself but the solution is so nuts i've posted it here to help others who have the same problem.
    to setup a comcast imap account on your iphone:
    go to mail, contacts, etc in settings
    under accts, select add account
    select "other"
    new screen, choose "add mail account"
    now on the new acct screen you must enter your name, email address and password for your GMAIL acct ! (yes i said your gmail acct !, or some other acct with a NON comcast address).
    hit next
    then the acct verifies
    when verified a screen will open with all the acct settings for this acct AND @ the top of the screen are the 2 buttons > imap or POP
    select imap and THEN CHANGE ALL THE ACCOUNT information to the comcast account !
    then hit next and the account will take a couple minutes to verify but it will verify and now you have a comcast imap acct set up on your iphone.  The problem must be that when the iphone sends the initial verify acct info to comcast (if you enter that information first) the comcast server is simply not setup yet to signal the iphone that there is an imap option.

  • Error on Production Server when php service is called.

    The web application runs fine on my development machine but on the production server it gives me the following error and no responce when a phpservice is called.
    error:
    Send failed
    Channel.Connect.Failed error NetConnection.Call.BadVersion: : url:
    'http://ipaddress/Project/public/gateway.php'
    Network Monitor:
    Development Machine:
    Windows 7
    MySQL 5.5.16
    Zend Framework 1.10
    Production Machine:
    Ubuntu 11.10
    MySQL 5.1.58
    Zend Framework 1.11
    I followed the following steps to deploy the application on production server;
    1. created identical database with same credentials on the production server
    2. confirmed that my php service works on the server by manually navigating to the php file and printing the data retrieved on the page
    3. modified the paths in amf_config.ini to reflect production server
    [zend]
    webroot = "/var/www"
    zend_path ="/usr/local/zend/share/ZendFramework/library"
    library ="/var/www/Project/library"
    services ="/var/www/Project/services"
    [zendamf]
    amf.production = true
    amf.directories[]=Project/services
    4. initialized the class by adding
    // Initialization customization goes here
    _serviceControl.endpoint = "http://ipaddress/Project/public/gateway.php";
    in the .as file for the php service
    I have also found from my zend server logs that when my php service is called its throws the following error:
    PHP Notice:  Undefined index: HTTPS in /usr/local/zend/share/ZendFramework/library/Zend/Amf/Response/Http.php on line 59
    I doubt that there is anything wrong in the deployment process but please do let me know if you could think of something i might have missed.
    The other thing im wondering is the php notice if it were to be caused due to different Zend Framework versions!
    Kindly advice

    EGJ Steens has post a fix at http://forums.adobe.com/message/4097998#4097998#4097998/Using Flash Builder
    Zend framework 1.11 added an extra function in the Http.php file (which was mentioned in the post) and was fixed as follows
    protected function isIeOverSsl()
            $_SERVER['HTTPS'] = 'off';  //Adding this line fixed the issue
            $ssl = $_SERVER['HTTPS'];
            if (!$ssl || ($ssl == 'off')) {
                // IIS reports "off", whereas other browsers simply don't populate
                return false;
            $ua  = $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'];
            if (!preg_match('/; MSIE \d+\.\d+;/', $ua)) {
                // Not MicroSoft Internet Explorer
                return false;
            return true;
    My concern is if i wish to secure my application with ssl using HTTPS will this prevent me from doing so.

  • Phone hog links give me error message "an error occuredon the server when processing the URL

    When ever I click on the links sent from phone hog.com to earn free minutes I get the following error message. "An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator" I have made several contacts with phone hog help and they claim it is my settings on my computer. However I contacted my internet provider TDS telecom and they indicated that this is a phone hog issue. I do not have any other problems with any other links I click on with this type of error message.

    Hello msFit,
    it's well known, that in all these cases you describe I'm not a friend of a detailed troubleshooting. To be able to be independent in all this things It is one of the reasons why I prefer an external FTP program. The difficulties with which you have to fight encourage me in this opinion, not least because we always search for experts, we don't charge a "jack of all trades".
    To manage several websites or to upload my files and sometimes for the opposite way, for a necessary download from my server or to use a "a site-wide synch", I'm using FileZilla. It simply looks easier for me to keep track of all operations precisely and generate or reflect easily the desired tree structure.
    Above all, FileZilla has a feature (translation from my German FileZilla) called "compare file list". Here it's possible to use file size or modification time as a criterion. There is also the possibility to "hide identical files", so that only these files which you want to redact remain visible.
    And even if it means you have to install a new program, I am convinced that there is an advantage. Here is the link to get it and where you can read informations about how it works:
    http://filezilla-project.org/ and http://wiki.filezilla-project.org/Tutorial#Using_the_site_manager
    Mac: Mac OS X (Use: Show additional download options)
    http://filezilla-project.org/download.php
    Of course, you also need all the access data to reach your server and for MIME issues, you should contact your web host/provider.
    Good luck!
    Hans-Günter
    P.S.
    Since I use two screens, the whole thing became even more comfortable.

  • Streaming .FLV files from Media Server 4.5 using PHDS

    I would like to stream .FLV files from adobe media server 4.5.
    Requirements state that the files should be considered secret, so I decided that PHDS sounds like the
    right thing.
    I was able to stream an .FLV by placing it in the webroot/vod folder using an url like http://myserver/vod/test.flv
    However the developer manual states that a way to enable PHDS at the server level is to uncomment the two lines like this.
    <IfModule jithttp_module>
    <Location /hds-vod>
        HttpStreamingJITPEnabled true
        HttpStreamingContentPath "../webroot/vod"
        JitFmsDirPath ".."
        Options -Indexes FollowSymLinks
    # Uncomment the following directives to enable encryption
    # for this location.
       EncryptionScope server
       ProtectionScheme phds
    </Location>
    </IfModule>
    However I am not able to stream my FLV using url like http://myserver/hds-vod/test.flv
    Question : Am I supposed to use the hds-vod in the URL or is /vod doing the same ?
                      Is the approach correct, or should the files go into an applications\myapplication\media folder ?
                      I will need some server side actionscript to validate access to the stream, is that possible without a dedicated application ?

    Hi,
    When you use the vod location directive you're basically using Progressive download so your URL is as : http://myserver/vod/test.flv
    However, when you use the location directive hds-vod, it is HTTP Streaming, where the fragments are created on the fly. For this your URL needs to be as : http://myserver/hds-vod/test.f4v.f4m
    Please note .flv files are not supported for HTTP streaming (via hds-vod location directive). You cannot use PHDS with .flv files.
    Thanks,
    Apurva

  • How do I obtain a time from a server, when I have no process running on it?

    I have a program that is running on many machines.
    They all write files to a shared DIR on a server.
    I need to obtain a time that is constant, as the only constistant thinh I know they can all see is the server, I'd like them to beable to get the time from the server.
    This way I can keep my locks (so only 1 pc can write at any one time) consistant
    How do I do this?
    (I have no process on the server)
    I'm looking for a call that'll tell me the time on a computer, in millis or somthing else. (I can then use Calendar.setTimeInMillis(long millis) )
    But I don't know where to look....

    This way I can keep my locks (so only 1 pc canwrite at any one time) consistant
    I doubt having something depending on times being
    synchronized is the right approach for this. You
    should instead actually lock things, such as by using
    a Mutex or actually locking files/records/bytes.it is unwise to actually lock a file as if there is an error, the file stays locked,. So you still need a time to work out how long it has been locked incase there has been a problem and it has gone 'stale'.
    If 'stale' the locked ness should be able to be overridden.
    But it is poor to use client time, as they all may be different.
    I'd like to use the time on the NFS, or whatever has the shared DIR. It looks from what you're saying is that I can't find this out in Java.

  • How do I set up my e-mail so it doesn't delete it from my server when I delete it on my iPad

    When on my iPad and I read my  e-mail and then delete it, it also deletes it on my AT&T server.  How do I set it up so that it leaves it on the server.
    I read my e-mail from several different devices and do not want it deleted from the server.

    Then AT&T email must be IMAP email and if it is, anything that you do on one device syncs across all devices with IMAP. If you delete the message on your iPad, that will delete it from the server, your computer, your iPhone or any smartphone that you have .... It deletes it from all devices. If you read an email on one device, it will appear as being read on all devices. If you move the email to a Saved folder on one device, that moves it to the Saved folder on all devices.
    There is nothing that you can do about that. It is the way that IMAP email works.

  • Streaming video and music from Media Server to N80

    Hi
    Has anyone any idea (if it's at all possible) how to stream content (video or music) from Home Media Server on the PC to the phone? I can see how to play content on the PC on another uPnP device using the phone as a remote control and I copy files between the PC and phone, but really I just want to play MP3s from the PC on the phone without copying them across first.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    In Home Media Server 3.4, you are not prompted to create a user account and password through the product. User accounts became available in September 2006 with Home Media Server 4.0.
    To give Home Media Server 4.0 a whirl, download it for free at:
    http://www.simplecenter.com/nokia/
    In addition, the SimpleCenter Knowledge Base and Forum is in the process of being updated. And with luck, the new version will roll out by the end of November 2006. One major change is that the new version will no longer require a username and password to browse the technical articles and forum threads.
    Thanks,
    Katherine

  • E4200v2 video streaming lag from media server

    When I try to stream a movie through the media server or through my computer to my xbox 360 the video will play fine for a couple minutes then it well get choppy and then the sound will not sync with the picture. I have the latest firmware and reset it also. Tried switching channels and changed mtu didn't do anything. tried steaming on 2 different xboxs and its the same thing.

    You can try the following combination of settings:-
    A] With the help of Cisco Connect Software (if at all you have installed the router with the help of this software)
              1] Open the software and go to the option which says "Router Settings"
              2] Then click on the option which says "Advanced Settings" which will take you to the router's configuration page.
             3] Then click on Security tab disable SPI Firewall Protection, uncheck Filter Anonymous Internet Requests...
             4] Then click on QoS under Application and Gaming tab and disable WMM
    B] If you haven't installed Cisco Connect then you can log on to the router's user interface using it's default IP address in the browser which is 192.168.1.1 and type in 'admin' as the password leaving the user name field blank. This will take you to the router's web interface and then follow steps as mentioned above to make the changes.
    Then check the connectivity status…
