7.5M SP4, Patch 4 - client only available through autoupdate

I just installed v 7.5M SP4 Patch 4.
When I installed the clients from the client software center web page, both installations ended with "installation incomplete", but it looked like everything was installed.
I launched the Admin client, and it showed that it was version 7.5.105.03 , not 7.5.104.04. I had autoupdate on, and the system said the client update was available.
I let the autoupdate happen (which actually installed both admin and office clients back-to-back).
This resulted in the correct versions of the client software being installed.
The patch 4 client updates are only packaged in the autoupdate and not in the downloadable clients, which are at patch level 3.

Tony, we are experiencing the same issues.  We applied patch 5 to the server and the server installation was fine.  But on the client installation, we receive the Installation Incomplete message.   We have been working with SAP support for several weeks and they say the patches should be in the client install package and should install successfully.
Did you just proceed with the workaround to install the client and then let the system upgrade the clients when you log in?  Have you had any other issues with this patch?  Our users do not feel comfortable with this workaround.
Do you have any other ideas on how to resolve this issue?
Thank you.

I signed up for my apple account while living in Canada, and now I lives in the US. I am looking for a specific app that apparently is only available through the US app store. How can I change my account to the US Apple Store?

As long as you have a form of payment (credit or debit card) with a USA source, and with a billing address in the USA, then you just need to change your payment information on your account to that, change your country in the store settings, and you will then be able to shop in the USA store.
Your AppleID will work in any country's store, as long as your payment source and billing addres are also specific to that country (and you are in that country as well, as there may be IP filters in place to stop use outside of the country).

  • Is 35/35 only available through a TV package?

In my FIOS upgrade list  I can only choose 50/20. Currently on 25/25.  $150 is too much They should reduce it a little, like buying in bulk. Not simply double it (I know it's double speed). I would consider $90-100 for 35/35 FiOS.
I don't want all that TV stuff. Everything's on the internet.

In my area of Maryland the stand alone packages show only 15/5, 25/25, or 50/20. If you are in an area where a Verizon does not have a CATV franchise, you may be able to get 35/35. Otherwise I believe it may only be offered in a bundle. Perhaps phone and Internet. Internet and TV, or all three. I have read where some areas that are set up for 150/35, the were offering it for $10 more added to the Ultimate bundle. But that was hear say. The only way to find out is to contact Verizon. This is a Peer to Peer Community, and only Verizon could answer those questions accurately. Try to contact sales with the online chat. Usually they jump in when you select shop, and are just dieing to help. Or use the contact us link found at the bottom of each web page. Select Live Chat.

  • Mountain Lion Internet only available through Chrome

    I have a 17-inch, early 2009 MacBook Pro. 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.
After installing Mountain Lion everything was working fine for a couple of days, then suddenly I could no longer access the internet through Safari. At the same time Mail stopped connecting to the server. The last email I was able to receive was at 10.00am GMT on Friday 27th July. Tried opening the Software Update/App Store window. It does not connect either. The pop-up window states "App Store cannot verify a secure connection with the App Store" When I click "connect anyway" the open window flashes, strobe like, between black and white.
My Wi-Fi connection is active and I can access the internet using Google Chrome. In fact I'm typing this on Chrome on the same Mac. iTunes Store connects, Dashboard connects as does DropBox.
    Can anyone help?

I have almost exactly the same problem - but using ethernet, so it's not specific to wifi.
Got a brand spankin' new i7 imac today, took it out of the box, upgraded to Mountain Lion. Internet connectivity seems ok otherwise, but attempting to load the app store does exactly what dnd stated. Likewise, (although I hope there's none yet), software update forces the app store to launch, then gets the warning error, then the app store screen flickers like crazy between "cannot connect to the app store" and a black screen filling the app store window.

  • I need to run a website that is only available through internet explorer, is this possible?

I was told that there was a way to run firefox allowing it to run programs that were specifically designed for Internet Explorer. Is that true?

You can try the following extension. It will load the site in a tab within Firefox using the IE installed on your computer.<br />

  • Patch 19877440: Optional component(s) missing during Client-only install

I am in the process of patching all Client-only 11.2.0.4 with Patch 19877440 and am receiving the following messages:

    Patch 19877440: Optional component(s) missing : [ oracle.javavm.server, 11.2.0.4.0 ] , [ oracle.rdbms, 11.2.0.4.0 ] , [ oracle.rdbms.dbscripts, 11.2.0.4.0 ] , [ oracle.sqlj, 11.2.0.4.0 ] , [ oracle.sqlj.companion, 11.2.0.4.0 ]
    All checks passed.
The way I read the patch readme for the JavaVM was that is was a required patch for both Database and client-only installs but this makes it sound like I don't need it on the clients. Is that correct?  OPatch did successfully install the patch on this RHEL x86-64 environment but was it really needed?

  • Oracle client only patches

    Hey guys,
I have a query regarding Oracle patches/CPUs. Are there normally any Oracle client only patches avaiable?
I know that you get the server patches and CPUs where you upgrade the server and the client gets updated too (provided they share the Oracle Home).
But would there be any patches/CPUs that are applicable to clients only?
The platforms I'm interested in are:- Windows 32bit & Solaris SPARC 64bit.
    Thanks in advance

There is nothing much really to it. We (my company) recommend certain Oracle CPU patches to be updated clients and servers.
If they are the same version and on the same system, it is no problem.
But if the client and server are of different versions and on different systems, we recommend to install certain client CPU patches and certain server CPU patches.
I believe that there is no 'client-only' CPU patch and as confirmed by others in this thread.
Which is why I wanted to whether there is a 'server-only' installation where CPU patches would be applied only to server rather than the client.
    I hope it makes sense!
    Thanks.

  • Applets not working with Java 1.7.0_51 in MII 14.0 SP4 Patch 5

    Hi,
I'm currently evaluating the migration of our MII 12.0 developments to MII 14.
But I'm running in several issues just trying to use simple things like a SQL query template with an iGrid Display template in test mode.
Used versions are: MII 14.0 SP4 Patch 5 and on client side the latest Mozilla Firefox with Java 1.7.0_51
At first I always get a java security warning when the applet is being loaded about unsigned applications.
At second the applet itself is not running. It always shows "No data available" and the java console shows the following errors (iResult is the id of the applet):
iResult [ERROR] - Couldn't set query template: No Query Defined
iResult [ERROR] - Couldn't set display template: null
iResult [ERROR] - Couldn't set display template: null
Is this perhaps a general problem, that the MII applets are not working with Java 1.7.x versions?
If I call the same MII page from a client with Java 1.6.x it is working without errors.
Do you have some suggestions for me?
    Regards Timo

please clear your JAVA Cache. that should solve the JRE issue. thanks

    Hi,
I am getting a pop-up message(Edits will not be saved. Any Edits made to the enterprise global template items are only available during this session.Make edits in checked-out enterprise global template to make them
available for all users of this project server) when trying to insert a new column in the Gannt Chart View.
Due to this what all are the columns that inserted in the project plan, will be lost when open the project in the next time.
I have opened the Enterprise Global Template and cross checked for Gaant Chart view it is showing the table as "Entry" only.
The requirement is what all columns are required for the project plan, manager will insert in the project first time. Next time on-wards it needs to be display the columns when opened the project from server by default.
We are unable to reproduce this issue in our Dev Envt.
Could anyone of you please help me.
    Thanks in Advance!
    Regards,
    Venkat

    Hi Venkat,
I suggest to remove Gantt Chart view and Entry table from Eglobal. These are default views from client and it is highly recommended to not use them in Enterprise Global.
Whatever a user ist doing on a view or table which is included in Enterprise Global will be reset on next open - therefore you receive this message.
If you need some server wide defined views and tables, create them. But remove Gantt Chart and Entry.
    Does that help?

    Hi ,
Is the above problem solved , can you share the solution.
    Thanks

  • Java:comp/env namespace is only available from within J2EE component

    HI
I am writing a standalone application program to access the bean using jdk1.3.1 and it's giving me the namespace error.
I deployed the bean and included the .jar file in CLASSPATH. In the program, I specify the correct namespace to lookup since it's already registered through deployment
When I run the application, I get the exception error with namespace only available withing j2ee component.
Does anyone know what's the problem?

    Hi,
When you deploy your bean ( im assuming you are using deploytool ) have you added your client application as a component in deploytool ?
If you haven't done this then the client app code won't be able to lookup the java:comp/env name space. The reason is, that to access this namespace ( at least with j2sdkee1.3 ) you need a "client container". This client container is generated by the deploytool automatically if you add the client application into deploytool. Sun's sample application "Dukes Bank App" is a good place to see an example of this
