7.8 - The last update for current windows phones?

As WP8 has been announced, will 7.8 be the last update for the current generation of windows phone?
It is upsetting because it hasn't even been a year since I bought my Sabre and now it won't be developed anymore?
**bleep** the WP8 start screen!

It has been mentioned that it will have the start screen of WP8. It seems like a consolation for not giving the WP8 update. I understand that the hardware won't support WP8 but it is also natural that their focus will shift to WP8 and which means that there won't be further updates for the current gen.
I'm not upset over something a petty thing like mobile phone but it is sad that the continuous exciting development of WP7 will now stop. It hasn't even been a year since I bought this phone and when I bought this phone, I expected it to be one of nokia's leading handsets competing with androids and iOS. That is why I spent my money while compromising many basic features which I expected to get in further updates.
Nokia is simply asking to BUY new WP8 phones and those who have bought WP7 will obviously feel cheated.

Niel, thanks for your response. I have been very wary of downloading Mavericks on this machine. I don't feel it has the power to run it and I'm afraid it was slow it down terribly. It was bought in late 2008. It's fine for my purposes at this time…just holding on until I buy a new one. since the 6. version update. of my Iphone 4s My wife was getting my text messages. I found the problem was caused by Imessage when connected to Wifi. I deactivated Imessage on both phones to solve the problem. I now have updated my Iphone to 6.1.1 and i dont get text messages anymore. I have Imessage deactivated on my phone but my wife is getting my text messages again. my wifes phone was not updated to 6.1.1 because the last update lost all her contacts from her phone and we had to but them back in one by one from the outlook list. Her contact are listed in outlook on a seperate list to mine but we can only get my contacts download to her phone. We use the same laptop to sysc phones.
My Iphone does not download photos to My Pictures anymore. I have to copy them across to a folder. I cant find where it backs them up to.

Are you and your wife sharing apple id?
If you are that is the reason why she is seeing your imessage.
On both phone go to settings - message - send&receive - make sure the cell is the default.
You will have to uncheck or remove the apple id.

After instaling the last update for Beta 9, Firefox will not open

I just installed the last secutry update for FF V.9. The update closaed FF as it should but now FF will not open! I tryed rebooting my computer but that didn't help.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

As of the last update for itunes and safari

Itunes and Safari , will no longer connect to the internet, I can still get updates for some of my subscriptions, the apple store will not open, Safari will not open any websites, my friend and myself are from usa, we are both in China at differnt locations, he is running XP and I running Vista

Try resetting Winsock, it looks like it worked for quite a few people in this thread -> With iTunes 10.4 I can access iTunes store.

and i have updated to 13.0.1
but here http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5408       there is Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1.1 update for Adobe Photoshop CS6
and if i go under help and updates.... it doesn't find 13.0.1.1 but only 13.0.1
should i download and run the update? or 13.1.1 is the same thing of 13.0.1 ?
and dynamiclinkmanager.exe is part of photoshop cs6 standalone or master collection ?
because i have never seen with photoshop cs5

Confirmed, I do not have dynamiclinkmanager running in my Task Manager process list, even when Photoshop is running.
To be fair, I do block a number of Adobe packages from starting when I log in (via Autoruns). Turns out they want to run an awful lot of software that isn't essential to the correct functioning of Photoshop.

Wiki is not avaible this the last update for os x server

Hello,
yesterday I installed the last 5 updates for our os x server.
After the reboot, the wiki and blogs where not longer aviable.
Has anybody an idea what could't be happend?
On the wiki page i get the Error 503.

I have a similar but different problem.I have not been able to get the wiki going at all. I also get the 503 error with the same error messages but the whitelist has never been created in the WikiServer App Support folder.
Maybe because I have configured virtual servers manually, the Admin Server will not let me save changes to the sites details - throwing exceptions. But config for wiki Proxypass rules seems to be in /etc/apache2/httpd_groups.conf which contains:

Since I downloaded the last update for Firefox, it freezes and I have to force quit.

Once I force quit, everything works fine until I open Firefox again.
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, since it also freezes when I try to open other sites, but I also switched to the new Yahoo mail in the last couple of weeks.

You can manually download the Combo update if in doubt of the integrity of the OS 10.9.5
install on top of what you have, backups are always a good idea.

Which email service provider are you using? You can install DropBox and share links to the files that way. When you snd to your self (cc or bcc) do the items show up? What file types and sizes are these attachments? Are you sending over WiFi or cellular connection? Try using more than one email account from a different provider (Gmail, yahoo, iCloud, etc) and see if it is email provider specific.

I think I have the last update for iPhoto, lately its been crashing and do not open. It doesn't give enough time to go on the " Help " section to find out what is goin on.

My iPhoto crashed after I was trying to upload some fotos. It never finished the upload and it frozed, then it crashed. Now every time I open it, it opens on some of the last pics i tryed to upload then it crashes. What can I do?

What system version are you running and what iPhoto version do you have? As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

Anyone else on Windows having troubles after the last update?

After getting the last update on my Windows computer of iTunes and QuickTIme I am getting the error:
Anyone else having this problem and how do I get help for it. It's annoying that it happens on each startup of my computer!
I'm running an i5 intel dell using Windows 7 Pro.

I am using an IPhone 4 and have been struggling with trying to keep my battery up since the last upgrade. Also, my Itunes and my AppleMobilDeviceService hog my CPU. Even without my iPhone attached, AppleMobilDeviceService runs at 99%. When I kill it, ITunes then runs at 99%.
When I 1st contacted Apple they wanted to try to sell me more Apple Care. When they realized my phone was under warranty, I was told to go to the Apple Store to get the problems resolved. At the Apple Store, I was told they could not do anything to my phone or I would loose everything. I was then instructed to to remove ITunes and reinstall. Then proceed to backup my phone and reinstall the software as new.
I followed their advice, but after the ITunes reinstall, the CPU issues were the same. ITunes indicates it is syncing my IPhone, but in actuality it hangs. (I left it in this state for 6 hours to ensure I was not getting impatient)
I grabbed a netbook that had an old version of ITunes installed, and it work OK; but with the exception that If i sync my data from my iPhone, i will loose everything.
I have consumed hours trying to work around this Apple software bug. At this point, I am thinking I know why Steve Jobs left the ship. I am frustrated with Apple and their inability to quickly resolve issues.
Maybe others are too?
