7 key of alphanumeric keypad is not working on Nok...

Hi Forum;
I am facing this issue today. The '7' key of alphanumeric keypad is not working properly. On my Nokia 5800 Xpress Music. I am anuable to write character q and r. When ever I press it, it either prints p or 7. But it does not print q and r.
I soft reset my phone. But the problem resumes. Its annoying. As I cant type.
People, please suggest some solution for it.

Yes, It is very annoying. In writing sms when I presse key 8 for t,u or v. 7 automatically pressed and it got the glow effect too. As if I pressed it too. Its really annoying. I like my phone but its driving me crazy. its out of warrenty. I have upgraded its firmware to v51 too. If it improve. But it doesnt.
And I think I should remove the protector screen. As I am having it since I bought this phone. I really should see if I can fix its issue from Nokia or sale it.
jheel_online I did changed its orientation. The spot has issue. When in landscape mode when i press p the dot (.) also pressed.

    All new keyboards need Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and above for full functionality.
    Rather short-sighted of Apple perhaps, but that seems to be a trend these days.
    I'm afraid the only fix is to upgrade to SL. Personaly, I'd take it back and get a refund and seek an older keyboard or a third-party one elsewhere.

    Hi just an update to the problem of the convenience key not working or working now and again. I had to do a couple of reboots this morning to update some apps and I noticed the key was not working after the reboot so I attached the charging cable to the phone and plugged into the wall socket thinking that will fix it again, but no it didnt. !!! I then remembered the first time I had this sorted I had plugged the charger in and switched the power on and then attached the phone, so I tried this method again and the key is working fine again!!!!. So what ever is happening when you do it in this sequence seems to reset the key. How did you get on with your phone with the Blackberry info?

    basics from the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new.  Have these been attempted?
    If you've tried ALL these steps, including setting up as a new device (not from backup), and you still have problems, then you have a hardware failure and will need to bring your phone into Apple for replacement.

    i am using HP 15-d006tu Notebook PC with windows 8 os.
    Recently i started facing a serious problem ie key with numer 2 and at symbol is not working. my model is having numeric keypad so i can type 2 with that but i am not able to type at symbol. Finding it really hard to copy paste the email addresses or the symbol alone. i checked whether it is jammed or something like that but nothing is there and its pressing like anyother key but when i press that key nothing is happening. 
    kindly let me know whether it is a hardware issue or some virus or something like that????
    Should i take my device to the service center and change the entire keypad???
    Really finding this problem a big headache. Its not even 1 year since i bought this laptop.
    Please please guide me.....

    Did you try connecting to USB keyboard and check?
    Shut down the notebook
    unplug the AC Adapter
    Disconnect all the external peripheral devices
    then remove the battery
    Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds
    Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter
    Tap away at the ESC key as you start the notebook to see if this will launch the Start-up Menu
    then select F10 to enter the bios menu
    Press F5 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes F9, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key )
    use the arrow keys ( assuming they work in this menu ) to select 'Yes' and hit enter
    Press F10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.
    If that doesn't resolve the problem, then it's probably hardware issue,

    My key pad is not working. To get into my phone i need to use a password but my keypad is broke. When I type in a letter sometimes it mixes up the letters or puts the letter in twice so I cant get on my phone. Ive done the standard turn the phone off, take the battery out, but nothing What can I do?

    Have you tried reloading your software? I would suggest performing a backup of your BlackBerry smartphone then reloading the software as shown in the article below:

  • Help: Kensington KeyPad calculator NOT working! :-(

    I just purchased a Kensington KeyPad Calculator (model 33059) which is EXPRESSLY compatible with Mac and I cannot get it to work!! This is after I purchased and returned a Targus brand KeyPad that the manufacturer says was NOT compatible with Mac.
    The first time I plugged the kensington device in, the Keyboard Setup Assistant popped up which (1) I did not know what options to choose (the question prompted was to press the key immediately to the RIGHT of the LEFT-SIDE shift key on the new USB keypad and I DO NOT HAVE THAT...it's just a simple 19-key calculator pad!!) and (2) after not recognizing the keypad, the Setup Assistant gave me the option of choosing a 100+-key ANSI US default (again, NOT what the Kensington is--a simple calculator pad!!).
    The Kensington has two modes of imput...keypad and calculator. I tried to use the calculator function on the Kensington while Apple's calculator was launched and, ODDLY, the input single seems to be the number followed by CLEAR!! (i.e., press '8' and you can see a flutter on the Apple calculator corresponding to '8' and 'C' for CLEAR resulting in NO input!).
    If I open up a text document, I can navigate with the Kensington KeyPad and insert numbers into the document. This function, however, is not only MORE TEDIOUS than the regular keyboard but also NOT why I purchased the device! My GOAL is to use the KeyPad with Apple's CALCULATOR so that I can input numbers and functions using the familiarly-arranged calculator keypad instead of the straight, left-to-right, 1-thru-0 numbers on my Powerbook.
    Does anyone know how to set up or use this purported compatiable Kensington 33059 Keypad and its calculator function for use with Apple's calculator??

    If your system still boots to windows ok,
        I think it's a stuck key that's causing the beep
    Try Installing this Software test
    http://www.passmark.com/products/keytest.htm
    Run this app within Windows and without pressing any keys see if there is a stuck key as it will light up on this tool
