$700 over payment... now past due?

ten year customer.... i made my $70 payment, but fat-fingered the amount, and actually paid $770.  so my account showed a $700 credit.  fabulous!  so the following month when the statement printed, they deducted my following month's charge of $70, and i had an account balance of $630; a credit owed to me.  i get my statement and think "$630 credit.  i'll call them and get that refunded"
ya know, i could totally pay the rent with that, so i called and said, hey maybe cut me a check for the remaining $630.  sure they said, we'll send that $630 check right out!
then, less than 5 days later, i get the calls from collections saying my account is two months past due and i need to pay another $160 NOW or they will cancel my service.
so i call in and find out they haven't sent me a check for the balance ($630), but they HAVE reversed the entire payment instead.... they think.  the phone reps at version really can't tell me what form of payment the refund was made or where it was sent.  they don't know if a check was mailed.... they can't tell if an electronic payment was made.  they don't know how and they don't know the amount.
what they DO know is that they will cancel my account in 7 days if i don't pay them another $160 immediately.
my bank says it will take 8-10 days to credit back IF they receive it due to the large amount of the refund.
my question:  when a person makes a $700 overpayment to their account, what is the correct question to ask to get the balance refunded WITHOUT throwing one's account into collections?  if the representative would have said "hey, i see you made an overpayment, if we refund you, we'll turn you over to collections , we'll cancel your account before you have money to pay your bill and you'll have to shop for another account with sprint" i wold have at least been prepared to shop around.
what really should have happened?  i can't pay (my new) balance because the money hasn't been sent to my electronic account yet.  verizon wants to cancel my account because they say i'm past due since they refunded too much money, they say.
after being with verizon for a decade,  i can't imagine shopping for another plan, but i'm looking at less than a week before i need to port my number.  how can i resolve this situation?
and i still don't have my $700 back...... and i'm the bad guy.
what to do?

No, the poster noticed it on the next billing cycle and not at once.
Based on the $700 overpayment Verizon took the $70 out for that next month.
When they asked for the overpayment of $630 Verizon in their error refunded $700 which then threw them in arrears for $70.
Additionally Verizon now jerked them around not to refund the credit balance. But instead demanded payment for an error on their part via refunding too much back.
This is not the original posters problem. However 9 days later no refund back to her bank because Verizon is once again shining the customer on. It does not take 10 days to electronically place money back into an account that was charged instantly. It is just a reversal of overpayment.
Could the customer contact their bank and had it reversed instantly more than likely. That is what I would have done. My Amex credits me in seconds this way no messing around pulling teeth to get your over payment from Verizon.
For right now I would simply call the bank for a reversal credit, pay the balance owed to Verizon and be more careful in the future.
Good Luck

  • Past due payment options

I have a past due amount on my account that was due 2 weeks ago. I plan on paying the bill as soon as I receive my monthly check from the VA (it is late this month for an unknown reason). Can I call to pay some now and the rest when I receive my check? I want to avoid service interruption and disconnect fees.

You need to call the financial services department of Verizon Wireless to make payment arrangements to prevent service disruptions.

  • Last month I was 1 day late paying my bill, so I tried to pay the full amount.  But the website would only allow me to pay the current bill amount.  Now, I show a past due amount.  If I tried paying it and Verizon didn't allow me, how is it past due?

I'm confused - If I go online to pay my bill, and it's one day after the due date, the current bill and full amount due would be the same?  If the current bill is not the "full amount due", then what is the extra amount that's snow showing past due?
Also, when I go in to pay my bill, I show the Current bill amount, total amount due (which are the same), and then a box where I can type in the amount I am paying, with the default amount being already filled in with the total amount.
    Is this a pre-paid or a post-paid (contract) account?

  • Warning message for customers past due on payment

    Hi experts,
I need help to create a warning message (or popup alert) on the delivery for customers that are past due on their payment.  Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Jane

    Hi Jane,
For all pop-up message, you need SDK. There is no simple solution for that.
If you just need an alert, you can create user alert to be send in a scheduled time.
    Thanks,

  • Can someone (ANYONE!) Please tell me why my account still has a $299 past due balance?

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in early November I received my new iPhone 6 Plus on the Edge plan.
There was no return label in the box, so I contacted support and a label was shipped to me in a couple of days.
I sent the old iPhone 5 back in the box with that return label within the 14 day recommended period and went on with my life.
It is now December 29th, over two months after you (Verizon Edge) received my old phone (I tracked it) and the $299 charge is STILL on my account!
I spent over an hour in the store near my home on December 15th and was assured by the store employee that Verizon Edge HAD received my phone but that financials were backed up and it might take a few more days for the charge to be removed from my account.
Meanwhile, I had been receiving 3-4 annoying automated calls per day from you saying to pay my past due bill.
    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Last week, my service was suspended for.... you guessed it!.... non payment of the past due amount!
I immediately called customer service AGAIN and had to ask to speak to a supervisor after the CSR I first talked to said she couldn't help me.
The supervisor put me on hold, then came on the line and said he had verified that you HAD received my phone.
He put my account on an equipment hold (so that I wouldn't get shut off again) and AGAIN assured me that the charge would soon be off my account.
    Guess what?!?!?!?!
The $299 charge is still there!
I have been a customer for over 15 years and have never had my phone shut off for non-payment or any other reason.
I want the $299 charge off my bill NOW.
And if this shows up on my credit report (and I check it regularly!) as a late or non-payment situation, I am contacting your legal department and I am going to sue Verizon Wireless for pain and suffering, stress, financial hardship, and anything else my lawyer can think of to add.
    PLEASE resolve this issue today.

  • Is it possible to upgrade a device when your account is past due?

I'm totally disgusted. Best Buy had The Galaxy 4  for FREE  until ten tonight. after waiting in line at bestbuy for 2 hours to do an upgrade on my eligible device. I was denied because my account was technically past due. I know it is. I have an automatic bank draft set up on my next payday Dec. 9th. When I called  customer service to ask if there was something They could  do for me the Barely English speaking agent said there  was nothing and he suggested I pay my past-due amount and  he would be happy to do that  right now so I could still make the sale.I explained I have arranged the payment and I can't pay it until then.I have been with verizon for nine years I have 5 phones with a monthly bill over 300.00. that's 3,600. a year and 36,000. plus all the phones and Accessories. I'm asking if I can sign another two year contract with you and your telling me that I can't. OR are you telling me That i shouldn't?

Yeah  I heard that from the last guy. I was asking if you could  do me an almost favor. I would  think that after  $36,00.00 you knew I was good for the $280.00.  the payment is setup for auto draft it's done. even if I didn't have the funds the bank would pay it out of my overdraft.
Being past due on your account is not really a good way to demonstrate that you are "good" for the amount you owe.  Just sayin'.
Pay your bill.  Pay it on time.  Pay all that you owe.  "Problem" solved.
Not sure why you would be owed a "favor".  Or even an "almost favor" (whatever that is.)

  • Need to suspend account that is past due. I am overseas and will be for a while.

    Hello,
Verizon support, please contact me through this or my email. My account is currently past due and is accruing charges. My family and myself have been in South Korea since June of 2014. I am in the military and stationed overseas. We plan on being here until the summer of 2016.
I need to suspend the account and fix the payments that have been piling up for a service I am not using.
I do not have access to twitter or face book.
Please respond soonest. Time is a luxury I do not have. As a commander of Soldiers overseas, I typically spend over 80 hours a week at work, am on call 24/7, and spend weeks at a time with no access to communications. If I do not have a response in the next 20 hours, you will not get a response from me until around 23 February, I will be away from any access to communications.
Thank you for any support rendered.

First and foremost, thank you for your commitment to our country and my freedom.  I am grateful for you as well as all of the other military hero's serving home and away.
Now, would you happen to have someone state side that could help you with this situation?  Maybe get a copy of your orders to them and they can help you get this taken care of?  As Ann mentioned, you'll still be responsible for charges already incurred but at least you can help put a stop the future charges.  The VZW reps don't always chime in and even if/when they do, they don't always respond in a timely manner.  Your best bet would find a friend or relative in the states that would act on your behalf to get this taken care of.  Unfortunately, I wouldn't put much hope into getting your situation resolved here on the forums.

I have been with Verizon since 1995 (I was an employee for years). I attempted to upgrade 2 of the 4 lines on our account today, but couldn't. We have an outstanding balance (though we have received no past due notice via mail, email, or text and make regular payments every month) that I would love to pay, but our bank account number was stolen, so we can't access our account until Monday. Because we were unable to pay our outstanding balance, we were told we can't order the phones today during the special promotion (that ends today). No one can help us, though we have no way of doing anything until Monday when our bank reopens and can reimburse us for the money that was stolen from us. No one in customer service can help us (they can't process the order but not ship until after we make payment on Monday, they won't honor today's promotion on Monday due to our special circumstance, nothing). They stated that "corporate" makes the rules and they have no idea how I can reach corporate to discuss the matter. Without the promotion, we will be charged full price for the phones on Monday, which will cost us an additional $300.00. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I hope that you aren't complaining about dropped calls INSIDE your condo because no amount of switching or upgrading devices will solve that.
VZW will not guarantee service inside of any structure. There are just too many factors. If the problem is inside then you might want to look at one of the following:
1.) Network Extender (may cause issues for others in a condo or apartment style setting)
2.) A Google Voice Number (Free with a Gmail email address), downloading Google Hangouts Dialer and forwarding your calls to the GVN so that you can make and receive calls over Wi-Fi.

  • Past-due notice without an original bill

I recently transferred liability of my previous account to mine and my fiancé's names.  When we transferred liability, we were made to understand that the account was a continuation of the previous one.  Then we received a past due notice in the mail, a month and a half after we had switched.  The past due notice said there was a remaining balance on our previous account.  However we never received an initial bill nor can we access the previous account online. We had no idea there was a remaining balance.
The first two customer service agents I spoke with tried to be helpful but they could not fully explain what the charges were for and why we had received a past due notice.  I was transferred to another agent who tried to explain again but could not provide me with a break-down of charges between the two accounts.  I told her I am concerned that we were double charged and that we never received an initial bill.  She said there was nothing she could do about it, that the bill must have been lost in the mail.  This is unacceptable, if there was no way for my fiancé and I to know about the bill (or to know what the bill is charging for), then we should not be held accountable for it.

Transferring a line over I am assuming Assumption of Liability?
If your fiance had the account and did not pay the last invoice from that line then it is still owed. The old account could have been paid since he knew the closing date and the monthly amount owed.
Now 1.5 months later you still have not paid the account you now have, and still owe for the other account and you are questioning the charges. Pay the invoice or go into a verizon wireless corporate store and have them get a print out copy of both old and new accounts. Then pay the bill. Its that easy.
Lost in the mail is no excuse for not paying the bill. The amount is normally the same each month. +/- a few cents.
Do it now before you have no service, and bad credit marks at the three credit bureaus. If you ever get married you may want a home, a car, a boat or a big ticket item. Which if a bad mark, you will not be able to get.
    Good Luck

  • Past due - will be installed

    Hi all,
we've been setting up app-deployment using SCCM 2012, and are going in to production in about a month. Now, we have a major problem.
None of the required apps are installing. They're simply stuck at "Past due - will be installed".
Indeed they are past due (all deployments are set to install as soon as possible), but absolutely nothing is happening (no it's not a matter of waiting, it's a dead halt). If we click 'install all required', everything installs perfectly. But obviously that's
    not an option.
The appenforce.log doesn't seem to be doing anything either; and it's not a problem with access to install source either; since all apps download fine, and THEN go into 'Past due...'.
I've also tried scheduling it to a time in the future, and then it just goes 'will be installed at (xx)' and once the deadline passes, it's 'past due' again.
So in summary; absolutely nothing is happening; and we've gone over the setup a million times, everything seems to be correct. We've also tried installing the agent on a clean (non-deployed) machine; virtual machines and with and without bitlocker. No difference.
We are seriously stuck. Help! :)

Bah, I don't have Reporting Services installed. Will check that.

  • List of invoices past due per sales order

    Hello community,
I am working on a report which is supposed to give me the following data:
Invoices which are past due (invoice #), corresponding sales order # and the consulting manager (CEM) for that sales order. The CEMs are maintained in table VAKPA.
I use table BSID and function module DETERMINE_DUE_DATE to get the invoice numbers, which works fine. However, I can't figure out how to make the connection to the SD side, especially to VAKPA.
There is a sales order number in BSEG for each invoice, but then again I can't join BSEG since it is a cluster table. I can do several nested selects over BSEG to get to the data from VAKPA, but the performance impact is too heavy.
I would think there is a better way to do this. Any suggestions?
    Regards,
    Eric

    Hi
The bill number is in the header data:
    BKPF-AWKEY (and perhaps in BKPF-XBLNR),
Here you can pick up sale order number from item data of bill: VBRP-AUGBEL
So you can pick up your partner from VBPA

  • "Past Due - Will be installed", but the app never tries to install

I have gone over the existing threads and found none that fit my situation. Here is what I know:
The deadline has passed with a status of Past due - will be installed.
The deployment is targeted to a computer collection.
If I manually start the install, it works fine (no failures in the .exe or install process).
Running Application Deployment Evaluation cycle does not help.
The content is sitting in the ccmcache folder ready to go.
Resultant client settings show that "Additional software manages the deployment of applications and software updates" is not checked, so an errant client setting is not to blame.
AppEnforce.log shows no update since the application was discovered. Nothing else is popping out as a red flag in the AppIntentEval or AppDiscovery logs.
Rebooting did not help (sometimes pending reboots seem to get in the way.
Any ideas? This has been consistent problem in our environment, to the point that telling clients they can set up a required deployment sounds like I am not giving them the whole story.

Resultant client settings show that "Additional software manages the deployment of applications and software updates" is not checked, so an errant client setting is not to blame.
    He has not enabled that.

  • Payment on Average Due Date

    Hi
Automatic Payment Program considers due date for making payment to vendors.
Now i want to know if there is possible for making payment on the basis of average due date (calculated on the basis of amount and the actual due date).
    Requirement:
While posting vendor invoice, i will enter give payment terms and due date will be calculated on the basis of payment terms.
Now in one week, i need to make the payment on the basis of average due date for that week.
For example, on wednesday, i will make all the payment which are due in the entire week (i.e. monday to friday). Is this (average due date) possible for automatic payment program.

    Hi
Check the BADI 'MRM_PAYMENT_TERMS'. You have a sample coding. See SAP Note 1559443 - Changing baseline dates for payment terms for Spain as an example. This note is for a legal requirement, but I understand that it's a good example.
    I hope this helps you
    Regards
    Eduardo
