Hi ,
Error Information: 72|80004005|The_Microsoft_Jet_database_engine_cannot_open_the_file_''.__It_is_already_opened_exclusively_by_another_user__or_you_need_permission_to_view_its_data.|65|800a0035|File_not_found
Am using a Microsoft Jet Oledb 4.0 connection to read data from a csv file using classic asp and Vbscript.
All the environments till the UAT are single server(Window 2003 server sp2)  and code was working fine 100 or 200 concurrent users.
While Pre-Prod servers are load balanced by network load balance. I am receiving this error when the code is deployed in dual nodes.
This very urgent as code should be moved to production asap

Hi Jiv,
The file resides on both the load balanced servers.
I have tried with share deny none mode on the connection and adModeRead on the recordset opening. Even though the error is the same.
Is there a specific MS forum for Classic ASP related queries?
ASP is mostly obsolete due to security issues.  It is also not really compatible with many newer parts of IIS.
How this works and why is likely to be a result of how you code this.   YOu will need a programmer with good IIS and ASP experience.
Try the link I posted above.  There are other sites that may be still discussing ASPO but they have been closing down recently.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Can not install this update for kb2667402 windows 7 professional. I tried various fix-it but it did not help Update KB2667402 failed with error 80004005

I'm not sure where to turn now and am soooooooooo frustrated! I have been trying to get security update KB2667402 with error code 80004005 to install for a couple months without any success.
So, I finally turned to microsoft tech support... Case# 1186572463
On Fri. Oct. 26 I was on the phone with a microsoft tech for over 3 hours. The tech that took remote access of my computer said she did not know how to fix my problem and that my case would have to be escalated to a higher level and that I would
receive a call back on Mon. Oct. 29th. However, I never got a return call.
Yesterday - Tues. Oct. 30th I called in again and was on the phone for 4.5 hrs with a microsoft tech and he also took remote access of my computer but was not able to fix the problem. I asked to speak to someone at a higher tech level and was told to call
    back into the microsoft helpline.
The 3rd call - Although I had been told during the prior 2 calls that I was still covered under my warrenty I was now told that I needed to pay for the support call. It took a while to get that straighteded out and to give all my information again to
the call center but I finally worked with a 3rd tech for over 2 hrs. but had to terminate the call for a conference call I had with a client. The person I worked with said he would call me back between 7-8pmEST so he could continue helping me but I never
    got a return call.
I have already invested over 10 hrs in the last few days regarding this issue and fear that if I call back in I will once again start over completely with no success which is why I am reaching out here. Is there anyone that has the knowledge of how to fix
    the problem?

I've been having the same problem and today did some searching and found something that worked.  Check that the download hasn't already been installed - look in the Installed Updates listing for an entry.  If it exists there, uninstall it, and
then force a Check For Updates and retry the install. This worked for me and I hope it helps.
    Good day, Chuck.

  • POP Email on WP8 (Lumia 920) - Error Code 80004005

    Hello Astra 2025,
Sorry to contact you on a differnet issue.
I have had problems with my POP e-mail on my Lumia since i got it so cant receive my woork e-mails.
Can you please point me towards a discussion that references this or do you have some background knowledge as I have hit a dead end with Nokia....
    please read the following thread:-
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/winphone/forum/wp8-wpemail/pop-email-on-wp8-lumia-920-error-code-...

I do not know how to set up an IMAP account in my shared hosting account with Plesk, which provides POP3/SMTP access to emails.
I am a Microsoft Partner, develop Microsoft based solutions, and genuinely like the Microosft platform.  Still, after about 6 months and many hundreds of dollars later, I find myself running out of patience.  How long should I be patient for a solution, when Nokia/Microsoft/T-Mobile will not give me a solution or be part of the process.
Microsoft Partner Support, as mentioned, told me this morning in response to a follow-up from yesterday that there is nothing else that they can do and that the situation is out of their hands.  If it is out of their hands and they do not want to do anything about it, then what about me?
Should I bite the bullet, return the phone, and sadly jump onto the Samsung Galaxy S4 Android bandwagon?  If I do that, I will feel cheated, as I really would like to use Windows.  I kind of like the Windows Phone 8 interface.  How long should I be patient?
Email is a big issue.  I am sure that there are other issues too, just I am not aware of it left.
By the way, I never received an Portino update.  The last update was the one that Microsoft gave back in November, which caused the problem in the first place.
Thanks for your comment.  :-) It is nice to know that I am not alone I am not alone in suffering with this problem.
I really am thinking that this 80004005 error is a deal breaker, which is so sad.
By the way, Nokia cannot do anything.  Microsoft owns the OS and it is up to the carrier, T-Mobile USA in my case, to do something about the problem.  Microsoft posts major updates, which causes breaks and annoyances. T-Mobile is resonsible for minor updates and fixes.  T-Mobile, as you can tell by visiting t-mobile.com (as of 5/2/2013) is no longer interested in the Windows platform (okay Catwalk announced, but that has the same problem.  Catwalk is a Lumia 922 or so, as I understand things).  T-Mobile will not post an update.  They never have, so why start now?

  • Scheduled DeskI report gets error SetPrompts failed (80004005).

    Hello
I have a DeskI report which I can refresh without any problem but when that report is scheduled I always get the error SetPrompts failed (80004005).
The user that the report is scheduled by is the Administrator (who I can also refresh the report without problem).
I have tried to delete the Universe and export it again as Administrator, changed the report and exported again as Administrator.
My system is BO XI 3.1 SP 3.1 FP 3.2 Enterprise server.
Has anyone had this problem and found some solution?
    Best regards,
    Hjortur.

I seen similar issue when we migrated reports and universe from 6.5 to XI R2. If it is a old report, report prompts might have got corrupted, delete the prompts in the report and save the report to corporate folder. Import the report and add the prompts what ever you needed and test it.
If above scenario doesn't work try this work flow
    1. Delete the report from your local  folders in your system
    2. Delete the universe from your local folder in your system
    3. Import the report and delete the prompts, save the report and export to different test folder.
    4. Import the report from test folder and add what ever prompts you needed and once again export to test folder and test the schedule...if the report is working fine in test folder, delete master report from prod folder and export the modified report to PROD folders.
    Let me know the results.
    Thanks

  • SCCM 2012 - Task Seq - Install Lenovo AMT software - Failing with 2147500037 (80004005)

    Hi there
Wondering is anyone has had any issues installing Intel Management Engine 10.0 software via a SCCM 2012 task sequence?
We have a number of older laptops which we build via a Windows 7 task sequence from SCCM 2012. As part of the install each laptop gets the appropriate version of the Intel ME software. All well and good.
We now have a new model to build (Lenovo T440) and for some reason the latest available version of Intel ME 10.0 software keeps failing in the task sequence with a 2147500037 (80004005) error.
This can mean different things but often means a permissions issue. Not sure what the permissions issue could be.
This software is installed at the same stage as previous versions of the same software are installed for older laptop models. Same install command too, SetupME.exe -s as per the document which comes with the software (in previous versions it is Setup.exe
not SetupME.exe but don't imagine the different file name is the problem).
I will try an older version but really we want to keep up with the latest available versions.
Anyone had problems installing this Intel ME v10.0 software via a SCCM 2012 task sequence?
    Best regards
    John

Does the install provide any logging? Does execmgr.log show any other info?
Per the readme, it should be setup.exe.
    http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/girc15ww.txt
    Unattended Install
This is for system administrators' use only.
    1. Refer to the Manual Install section, and download and extract the file.
    2. In the step 11 of the Installing files section, uncheck the checkbox next
to "Install ..... now", and then select Finish to cancel installation.
    3. At the command line, execute Setup.exe with the -s option.
Example: [Path where the files were extracted]\Setup -s

  • Error Trying to Create Capture Media Error 80004005

Hey everyone need some help here.  I was at TechEd last week, in which I did the hands-on-lab on using boot media to capture a reference PC, can't remember the name.  Anyway, here is my problem, I tried to do the exact same set up on our setup
and it fails.  I go through the following process:
    1.  Create Task Sequence Media
    2.  Select Capture Media
    3.  Select CD/DVD Set
    4.  Give it a name
    5.  Point to my boot image, and select my distribution point. and then
    IT FAILS!
Media creation failed with error message: 'Unspecified error'
Refer to CreateTsMedia.log file to find more details.
When I look through the log file, the last item I see is:

The info that I find seems to point to this being a problem with a USB drive not big enough to support the boot wim, but I am creating and ISO.. so whats the deal?

  • BDD 2007 -- ZTI -- OSD error "The Operating System Installation Failed Unspecified Error (80004005)

    Hi there
Wonder if anyone can advise me on a BDD 2007 OS deployment issue? (Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, I couldn't see a forum for BDD 2007.)
First of all, this BDD 2007 server and the OSD config was not done by me. For info, it is part of a SMS 2003 infrastructure.
I am trying to get the XP Pro build process working. I am led to believe the config has been completed.
Unfortunately, after booting the pc from the nic, I get an error. This is the order:
    - the 'Initializing Windows PE' splash appears for perhaps 15 seconds
    - very briefly, the text changes to 'Initializing Network'
    - for a second or two only 'Initializing Windows PE' appears again
    - then this error message appears:
"SMS Operating System Deployment - The Operating System Installation failed. Please contact your system administrator for assistance. Unspecified Error (80004005)"
I've spent some time looking into this error (80004005) and from what I can gather it possibly means 'access denied'.
I'm assuming after Windows PE loads the first Task Sequence begins, and if this possibly is where the issue lies?
One thing I cannot understand - the first Task Sequence (Initialization) has this command line (as do most, with different .wsf file):
    cscript.exe "%SCRIPTROOT%\ZTIGather.wsf" /localonly
However, I cannot access %SCRIPTROOT% at all, Windows says it can't find it. I can run other variables such as %USERPROFILE%, %SYSTEMROOT%, etc, but cannot open %SCRIPTROOT%.
Is it simply the case that I should create a new system variable (that has not been created by whoever built the server)?
    Thanks
    John Henry

Since no one has answer this post, I recommend opening  a support case with CSS as they can work with you to solve this problem.

  • Failed to install Windows 7 SP1 (Error 80004005‎)

    Dear all,
Would someone please help me on this issue? It almost drived me mad after tried several times to install the SP1. I've googled the error 80004005‎, someone suggested to try a in-place upgrade. But it's hard to do that for my current situation.
That may be the last resort if no solution else.
Installation logs (CBS logs/Inf logs/Winsxs logs):
    Current PC OS version:
    Windows 7 Professional / 64 bit.
I've tried following approaches, but didn't work
    1). Increase the MaxNumFilters (8 to 14)
    2). run sfc.exe /scannow
It looks like some *.dll files corrupted.
The CBS log generated as below:
Any comments are highly appreciated. Thank you !!

    Hi Wade
Thanks for the reply. The error code was always 0x80004005. The upgrade was fell back when configuring service pack with 99% percentage completed after reboot. [Sorry My OS is traditional Chinese version]
I tried to run command  sfc.exe /scannow again today. Result indicated that some of *.dll files were corrupted. So i attached some of the log here FYI please. For details, please download

  • Instant Client with ADO on VBA -- Run-time error '-2147467259 (80004005)' -

VB 6.0 uses Instant Client and Win XP Pro sp2 operating system. The MDAC has been checked and it is 2.8 sp1.
The same project works on Win 2000 pro.
Installing the run-time, thick, client makes the application work.
We are getting the following error:
    Run-time error '-2147467259 (80004005)';
Oracle error occurred, but error message could not be retrieved from Oracle.
    Any ideas?
We have tried privleges, ORACLE_HOME variable, all kinds of things. Bring us your suggestions we are weary.....
    Thanks,
    Linda

It looks like some sort of overflow. Instant Client does not support ADO.NET yet, if that is what is causing the problem. I hope that helps.

    [Cause]
    ============
It is a known issue. This issue occur when you have Organizational Forms Library feature enabled on Exchange Server. When Outlook tries to sync the folder (All the Organization
Forms store in the Exchange Server’s Public Folder Database -> System Folders ->EFORMS Registry), an unexpected sync error occurs. However, this does not mean this behavior infects the Organization Forms data
synchronization. We have done tests on serval machines. The result is users can still use
Organizational Forms properly with this error
    synchronization log in Outlook.
    [Solution]
    ============
    You have two options:
    1. Just safely ignore this error because there is no user impacts.
    2. If you don’t need the Organizational Forms Library feature, you can just disable this feature to workaround this issue.

All apps are setup correct i.e. whether or not user logged on install from TS without being advertised etc.
I've seen some threads about a hotfix 2837395. However the TS step is not using dynamic app install just an install applications with the 3/4 apps put in so not sure if this is the answer. Plus I already have the Hotfix for CU4 to apply to clients
Can't see any issues in locationservices.log etc. all looks fine - there is no appenforce.log through osd so can't check that
    any thoughts?
    Ian Burnell, London (UK)

What does appdiscovery.log have to say?
Also, are you deploying the Cu4 update during the TS?
Finally, brand new site? Why didn't you use R2?
    Jason | http://blog.configmgrftw.com
    - not at work at the moment so can't answer that. From memory it was saying evaluation failed - no evaluation rules at all on one of the apps (Flash Player - just to test in case somehow evaluation was failing), but they all get this 80004005 - isn't this
    access denied ??
    - No - not yet. I was wondering if that could be an issue. I have created a separate package with the CU4 hotfix but for testing at the moment I'm just using the standard configmgr package
R2 - Did think about it but because this is a WIN XP- 7 project I considered the better path to stick with SP1 because of the in-place USMT being easier

  • Oracle 8i, rcv error msg 80004005

Our web app crashed this week, and we continue to receive different ora ole error messages, the latest being 80004005. We have reinstalled oracle, registered the com dlls, worked with IIS, installed the ole 0040 and ole provider 8.1.7.3.1.5 in prod as we had done in dev. Now we find our web page is not appearing in IIS. Can anybody help? Thanks!

Perhaps when you reinstalled Oracle you installed it with Apache web server and perhaps it is causing problems.
Do you have the server and the application in the same server ?

  • Collection: (80004005) Execute: Query timed-out

    Hi,
Recent days im facing a strange issue like the SCCM clients are not reporting the full Software inventory, so because of that we were unable to query using the software inventory details.
The strange part is, while checking the logs "Inventory agent.log" it states "Collection: (80004005) Execute: Query timed-out".
I wanna find what is the job of the Software inventory cycle and how to see at what point they stuck scanning...
Any information helping me to proceed further with my investigation would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Thanks for the link Garth...
We have scheduled software inventory to run on Sundays so that it should not impact client PC's performance. I agree it takes long time, but at some point we might require some information from those files. I also tried to create few test machine, but its difficult
to duplicate this issue in them. Whenever we create a new machine, it reports good :(
I was querying the machines who has collected "powershell.exe" files using software inventory cycle, i was able to fetch about 91% of the machines where as 9% has not. I tried to run a powershell query (Full software inventory) remotely on the machine where
we are facing issues collecting software inventory. Monitoring the logs and i came up with this error.
Here my question would be as its working on most of the machines why aren't they good on the rest. Even if we try to re-install the client, same status. Maybe because of the machine performance?
    Thanks for your help...
