720 camera fails to launch post black update

Hi
Lumia 720.
OS version 8.0.10517.15
Firmware 3056.40000.1349.2004
Since the black update the camera fails to launch either from the camera button or any app that uses the camera. All that happens is the camera attempts to open then depending on what was trying to open it it either displays message saying 'the camera failed to launch' or it justs goes back to the last screen I had open.
Tried hard and soft resets and also camera rest, no joy.
Any ideas?

Adobe position on PS CS2 is that it is not compatible with Leopard. They say they have no plans to fix it either. According to them the only versions that are compatible with Leopard are CS3 and CS4.
I some people say they don't have any problems using PS CS2 with Leopard but it doesn't appear this is true for everyone.

Z10 Camera Fails to Launch

Hi all,
I have a new Z10 (less than a week old) and I used the camera this morning, took the photo and it failed to display the photo. I send the image to a mate via BBM and it wouldn't open for them. Now I have since tried to use the camera again and it fails to launch. Any ideas? I have tried restarting the phone and switching it off but to no avail.

The camera starts to load up, but then immediately closes, it occurred when I enabled Geo-Tagging. I have tried disabling the location based services in settings but this doesn't solve the issue. I have tried loading up from locked screen, shortcut on the toolbar and the icon on the widget screen and encounter the same problem with all ways. Now that I have installed this pocket mirror camera app it seems to be working, but for how long? I have spoken to my carrier and they said to return it and they will swap for a brand new one. But this is a lot of hassle to reinstall all the apps and such again and then to fit a new screen protector. I have tried uninstalling the pocket mirror app and it is still working. This shouldn't be something that you have to do to get the device to function correctly.

IBooks 3 fails to launch even after update

On my ipad 2, iBooks version 3 still fails to launch after update. This is the first time I can recall Apple failing to fix a material bug. I hope it is working on the problem.

iBooks is working fine on my iPad 2.
Lets try first quitting the iBooks app then resetting the iPad.
Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart the app and see if it works normally.
Then reboot your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

the installion location is the default installion path - C:\Program Files\Update Services
the content folder was directed to a diffrent volume - e:\wsus\
i tried to delete everything that connected to iis and wsus and re install and now i am getting:

InDesign CS5 fails to launch after installing update

Hello all,
I've attempted to update InDesign CS5 to v7.0.4 from v7.0.2; install log below.
Upon launch, I get multiple errors with the following warnings (see screen grabs in sequence) followed by a crash.
Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this? I'm running a Mac OSX v10.6.8; 2.93 GHz Intel Core i7; 8GB Ram

Your crash report would be more instructive (links only, please!).
But it sounds like your installation is busted.
Uninstall, run the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, and then reinstall.

Back Camera Failed to launch

I have an iphone 5 which i been using it for two weeks, the camera was working fine and everything is okay, from 2 days ago i had a problem with the back camera, it is not launching and it freeze the phone everytime i open it, any help please !

Mail, Safari, Software Update fail to launch after last update.

After my last software update which included an update for Quicktime, iTunes and two other programs I ran Age Of Empires and left it running for a period of time.
The computer froze hard and I had to hold the power button in to restart it.
From that point I cannot get Safari, Mail, or Software Update to start. They launch, but about a second into the process they quit unexpectidly and will not re-open.
When I try to run Safari or Mail through the terminal it comes up with the following:

I read the selection in MacFixit and went through the steps that they suggested.
I even downloaded MacOSXUpdCombo10.4.10PPC.dmg and when I went to re-install it the program Installer quit unexpectedly in the same manner that Safari, Mail, and Software Update did.
I also noted that when I tried to start either Safari or Mail using the terminal (I don't have much expertise in this area) they stated that there was a segmentation fault
Here is what was on the terminal screen:

Thank you, I think I have done that. After a bit of a struggle I have managed to install Windows Media Player in the plugin dialogue area. I'm surprised I have to actually download it and then go through a process involving a warning that I will void my warranty if I enter a particular control screen, but after half an hour or so I think it is done. It then took me another 10 minutes to work out how to get back into this forum page, maybe In should just stick to Word and Photoshop!
Would it be a good plan to now remove VLC from my program files?
Still, I will mark it as solved and come back if I have further similar problems.

Lumia 925 black-update phone stuck

I installed the black-update yesterday on my 925, in the beginnings no problems, but this morning when I tried to unlock my phone I typed my password but then the phone got stuck in the lock screen. After 3 minutes it automatically locked itself but now it is not unlocking anymore.
The strange thing is that my Glance is still working if I move my hand over the phone (peek). But I cannot unlock it via de unlock button (nothing is happening), I have double tap to wake switched off, and my cam app is ProCam so no chance of unlocking it via that as well. I also tried to call the phone but it is not receiving the call..
Also putting it on the charger or connection it to the computer doesn't help, screen stays black. My question is is this a software problem or is it just a coincidence and my unlock button broke during the night.. but this would't explain the not receiving calls part and also not that it is not 'unlocking' on charger or computer.
What you advice me to do now? And I don't wanna hard reset my phone...

I think you need to do a soft reset, many peoplr have reported issues with Glance screen pre and post Black update. Press and hold the Vol.down and power/screen lock keys together for few seconds till you see the 'Nokia' on the screen. You won't lose any data by doing this. I revived my L925 when I experienced same issue months back. Good luck.

Software Update Problem and Apps Failing to Launch

Ok, so, I have done a lot of hunting around to resolve this problem, (possibly problems) and tried some of the few fixes I have found, (though all were not exactly describing my problem). Said fixes were mentioned on here and on other sites/forums. Apologies if my post is described and resolved elsewhere. I couldn't find it.
Firstly, my spec:
27" iMac
Lions OSX (10.7)
3.1 Ghz Intel Core i5
16GB 1333 MHz DDR3 (installed by myself after purchase)
(Let me know if you need to know more to understand my computer further)
This computer is absolutely brand new. All I have done so far is the initial set up and installed Google Chrome and various Adobe software (CS5). Also, I did encounter a Java Runtime error and I appear to have fixed this issue by manually downloading the latest Java software.
I noticed a problem quite early on when apps were failing to launch/crashing. Frustratingly this isn't black and white. All apps, (both Apple software and third party software (mentioned above)) seem to do a random combination of:
+ Failing to launch - icon bounce a few times and then nothing (no error/dialog box)
+ Crashing - Instantly crashing when opened (typical crash dialog box)
+ Closing down - Open for no more than 5 seconds and then completely closing down (no error/dialog box)
+ Opening fine - An application that was doing one of the above three, but now (for what ever reason) working fine
For more clarity (though this isn't a rule), this is what each individual software (currently) does that I have tested:
Mail - Crashing, but now opening fine
Chrome - Crashing, but now opening fine
Facetime, Address Book, iCal - Opening fine
Photoshop - Opening fine, (though I have yet to click around and do anything substantial. Basically it appears to stay open)
Illustrator - Failing to launch
Dreamweaver - Crashing
iTunes, iPhoto - Closing down
But, like I say, this hasn't been consistent, (for example, Chrome has gone through a process of not working, working, not working and now working).
To maybe resolve this I have tried to Software Update. It finds various updates and I download them. Download seems fine, but after clicking restart to install said updates, only a second in and an error dialog box appears stating that the update files may be corrupt. It then just restarts without updating.
First idea (prompted by a pre-existing forum thread), was to delete files found in Library > Caches. After doing this and restarting, nothing appeared to be fixed/resolved.
Second idea (again, prompted by a pre-existing forum thread), was to repair disk permissions in Disk Utility. After doing this and restarting nothing appeared to be fixed/resolved.
Any ideas?

10.5.6 update has apparently caused all MS Office apps to fail to launch

Installed 10.5.6 update last week. First time I attempted to use Word afterwards it failed to launch. None of the MS Office 2003 apps will launch now. Other apps seem OK. I've shut down and re-started but still same problem. Using PowerBook G4 with 2Gb RAM. Never had this problem before. I've noticed a number of other posts by other people regarding problems since installing 10.5.6, but not this one.

I have been using Leopard for months and recently had hardware power problems. Genius Bar replaced power drive. With latent problems still on computer internal hard drive Apple Genius suggested cleaning internal drive when I got home..
I did, including backing up all data, wiping internal hard drive, installing previous apps.
Once fixed, I am having a lot of trouble getting apps back on and working. My Power PPC iMac G5 leaves me with some apps continuing to work while others from the very same installation disc, will not load.
The most frequent Leopard error messages I encounter are:
Open Dictionary
Unable to read the dictionary of the application or extension because it is not scriptable.
Hit OK and get:
The documant "Install (put any application here) "
could not be opened.
Trying to Open "Opening Final Cut Pro" = The application Final Cut Pro quit unexpectedly.
Message of "Mac OS X and other applications are not affected."
And famously: "Click Relaunch to launch the application again. Click Report to see more details or send a report to Apple. CHOICES: Ignore - Report - Relaunch."
Already have Motion and Color working but some of FCP Suite fails to open, such as Compressor and Cinema Tools work fine.
I have backed up everything, putting all apps on an external drive. I then wiped to original APPS drive before putting things back on it.
When trying to add some apps that used to work, instead I get "cannot open dictionary of application trying to install" has me against a wall.
Anyone got a clue to get me going on either message so I can get my hot box working again?
I've re-installed OS 10.5.6 twice. Multiple tries to install-load applications always result in identical messages for each thing I try. FCP always reads Click Relaunch etc. while "You cannot open the application"iMovie.app" because it is not supported by this architecture is a familar response.
I hoped on MS Office will not load as close to my problem, except it is many applications.

Bridge fails to launch after update.

After updating Bridge, the application fails to launch. The black dot appears below the Bridge icon in the dock as if it is opening, but then it disappears. The application will not open.

You can try just quitting the app as well, restart rhe iPad and launch it again.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
iBooks crashed on me a couple of times when I first updated yesterday so I just quit the app and launched it again and it worked.
or .... If Quitting and resetting/rebooting work, fails, delete the app and download it again. Tap and hold down on the app icon until it wiggles and then tap the X on the icon to delete it. Tap the home button. Then download iBooks again.
