720p 120fps clip from GoPro Hero3 Black not recogniced by Premiere Pro CS6

Hello. My clip from Hero3 Black Gopro isn't recognized as a 120fps clip. I've read people saying that this is normal because premiere pro won't recognize them for anyone.. But it does, look at this clip:
http://youtu.be/YeHCUNH4KcM
At around second 30 it shows how it recognizes that the file is actually 120fps, in that same screen, I get that the file is 59,94fps and not 120fps and it really is.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you.

I've created a few sample files for anyone interested. These files are straight from the camera.
Here is a 1280 x 720 at 60 fps: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/92935787/1280x720%2059fps.MP4
Here is a 1280 x 720 at 120 fps: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/92935787/1280x720%20119fps.MP4
Here is a 1280 x 960 at 100 fps: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/92935787/1280x960%20100fps.MP4
Import these into Premiere Pro CS6 or even Media Encoder CS6 or After Effects, have a look at the metadata and both of the 720p videos will show up as 60 (59.94) fps. I tried this in Premiere Pro CS5 and had the same result.

  • Exports From Audition CC Give "Header Error" in Premiere Pro CS6

    Hello,
I have finished the audio mixing on a 15 track project in Audition CC. It is very heavy so I had to export all the tracks separately to import them back into the Premiere Pro CS6 movie project. That way I could also do further adjustments in individual tracks later on directly on Premiere, if needed (since mixing isn´t something we´re ever done with).
I´ve exported them all in wav 9600 Hz 32 bit (Audition doesn´t say whether it´s floating point or not) and also wav 9600 Hz 24 bit. The originals on all the tracks were eitther wav 9600 Hz 24 bit, or wav 9600 Hz 32 bit (converted from 24 bit to aplly declipping and normalization), except 2 tracks with music that had mp3, wav and m4a.
When importing the exported Audition files back into Premiere all of the 15 tracks, including the ones that didn´t have mp3 and m4a in it, give me the message "The file cannot be opened because of a header error".
    Questions:
    1. What could be wrong?
    2. In case there isn´t a solution, what would be the best lossless formats to try and do the exports for importing into Premiere?
    Thanks a lot.

    I see...
Trouble is I´ve never had an answer for my posts in the Audition forum (I did originally post this here because I thought it´s more of a Premiere issue, though). I guess Audition just isn´t nearly as widely used as Premiere.
Also, I have done the same kind of exports for smaller tracks from Audition before and didn´t have an issue importing them into Premiere.
I find it really troubling that Adobe intends to make Audition a reliable pro audio suite integrated with Premiere and, on top of some weird issues like this one (and such as the 16 bit limit for sending a project from Premiere to Audition, making that integration probably useless for most pro uses), there´s so little support.
    But thanks a lot, anyways!

  • USB Mic not working in Premiere Pro CS6 for Mac

So I've been editing in Premiere Pro CS6 on a mac for 6 months now.  I have to do a temp VO for a project and I thought I'd try the Narration feature in the mixer.  For some reason my USB mic doesn't show up in the Audio Hardware so I can't pick it.  The same mic shows up in the Mac Audio Settings and even shows up in Audition.  I've been having to use Audition but was curious to see if anyone out there has gotten a USB mic to work in Premiere Pro on a Mac.  Would be a really cool feature if it worked.

Some USB mics work fine, but many do not. It can depend on the exact mic, or might require a different ASIO driver (maybe something like ASIO4All?), or different ASIO setting, to work.
    Good luck,

  • GoPro HERO4 Black - Editing 4K on Premiere Pro CC 2014.0.1

Hello, I'm new to the GoPro and we recently purchased a HERO4 Black.  I'm editing with Premiere Pro CC 2014.0.1 on a MacBook Pro, specs below:
    2.8 GHz Intel Core i7
    16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeFore GT 750M 2048MB
    OS X 10.9.4 (13E28)
I have no issues playing back a 5K RED R3D file or a 4K mov file from a GH4 but I'm getting choppy playback in a Premiere Pro timeline from the GoPro's MP4's even at 1080 Superview.  Was wondering if there is something I need to be able to edit the native MP4 files or do I need to just transcode the files from the GoPro to ProRes to be able to work with them in Premiere Pro CC
Any ideas, help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I have a beefy desktop PC at home with roughly the same specs and I'd like to test the footage there but the MacBook Pro and CC 2014 is my work setup and would like to figure this out for the work setup if at all possible.
    Thank you,
    -Erik

You can transcode them to Prores.
You can also download the free Cineform Studio software to convert to Cineform mov.

  • Rendered clips turned out to be not render after premiere pro update

    Hello guys,
I was using the old version of premiere pro for quite awhile, then my colleague told me to update it to the lastest to fix any bugs that exist.
so I updated my premiere pro to version 4.2.1.
After the update, I realised all the rendered files became not render. the timelines were all red and the program did not prompt for the rendered clips when I open the projects. For what I know, the rendered clips are still in the folder 'Adobe Premiere Pro Preview Files.'
I am really desperate for help as the amount of clips rendered is really a lot. I appreciate any help, thanks so much.

    Welcome to the forum.
It sounds like the update might have separated the Render files from the Project's links.
Now, remember that Rendering is only necessary for the smoothest playback. You only have to Render, where you are working with critical aspects, like Keyframing Motion/Scale, or adding Effects. I complete many Projects, and never bother to Render, as I can see playback at a high enough level to do my editing. OTOH, there are often tiny segments, that might get Rendered many dozens of times - usually where Keyframing was done.
One can use the WAB (Work Area Bar) to just Render a small segment of the Timeline.
Now, why your existing Render files became un-Linked, I do not know that answer.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Warp Stabilization not working on Premiere Pro CS6 or After Effects CS6

I've imported a 30 second clip both on Premiere Pro and After Effects. I am using CS6. I used a Canon 600D and my footage is 23.976 and 24fps. I've tried both frames to see if it made a difference. All what happens is that it says step 1 out of 2. It finishes and tells me to analyze again. It doesn't actually make it to step 2 so my footage doesn't change and its getting frustrating. No idea what im doing wrong. HELP PLEASE?

As Rick says, it looks like you didn't update all of your software.
What version of Premiere did you have before?
What version of AE did you have before?
What version of Premiere do you have now?
What version of AE do you have now?
Exact version numbers down to the last decimal, please.
In the future, I'd suggest NOT updating in the middle of important projects.

  • Scene Detect not functioning in Premiere Pro CS6

    Hello all,
Having an issue with Scene Detect not recognizing individual scenes when I Capture HDV footage from my Canon XH series cameras. Tapes just come in as one long file rather than individual scenes. I am using CS6 on my MAC computers (OS 10.7.5 and 10.6.8).
This is baffling as I've captured many tapes from many weddings and have never experienced this problem to this point.
I did reset my cameras to default settings recently but can't seem to find anything that would indicate that causing the issue. However, it is the only change I have made unless a recent Adobe or OS update could have caused the issue?
Your help and knowledge are greatly appreciated!

    Problem solved.
For anyone seeking a possible solution to this simple but incredibly aggravating issue: Make sure your camera's date and time fields are set. Premiere Pro's "Scene Detect" function uses your cameras time signature to differentiate scenes in your captured footage. No time code = no individual scene detection.
When I reset my camera to default settings I erased my time and date fields. I wasn't too worried about it as I typically use these cameras for their HD SDI capability with timecode captured via Tricaster, however this became a frustrating problem when I used the cameras for a recent wedding capture and I now have four long files rather than the intended multiple scenes I need for editing...
Hope this simple discovery makes someone's day a little easier...

  • Speedgrade crashing and not roundtripping with Premiere Pro CS6 (NOT CC)

I am using Speedgrade CS6 (not CC).  I have two questions.  1.  When rendering my graded material to h.264 from Speedgrade, it crashes and the .mp4 that I get is choppy and incomplete.  Also, a secondary issue is that I would like to edit in Premiere, color grade in Speedgrade and then roundtrip back to Premiere for editing and encoding.  Is this possible?  Please help!

Ask in the Prem/ SG forums. And just to point out an obvious flaw in your current workflow: Why would anyone render a sequence to a compressed format like H.264 after going out of the way to grade it for further editing? Makes no sense whatsoever, considering that once you edit it in Premiere and export it from there you add anorther pass of compression. Use DPX, TIFF, QT Animation or similar.

  • Prelude not sending to Premiere Pro CS6

Hi, I am running WIN7 and testing out the Prelude to PP workflow and not having very good luck.
Yesterday it seemed to allow me to right click, 'send to PP' and it would do that, today, NO.
I have tried the different routes, but all it does is open PP with no content....
other threads I searched didn't seem to provide a solution, any ideas?
    Thanks!

Well, after screwing with it a little more without sucess, I have decided my workload at this point doesn't really need Prelude in the workflow... I find doing the cutting and sorting in PPro is just fine... perhaps if I end up editing larger projects, Prelude will make more sense at that time, and the problem with it losing roughcuts+clips between the two apps will be resolved by then.
Good Luck to anyone else experiencing the same issue, for now I'm unistalling Prelude.
    Have a Great Weekend!

  • Audio and video not synchronized when exporting from Premiere Pro CS6

    Hi
We have made a project in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 that´s intended to be exported to DVD (it´s a weeding). We are working with NTSC DV Widescreen. The exporting is 720x480
We have 2 audio lines activated and sounding on this project.
    The question is:
When exporting the entire video (the entire timeline sequece) using Adobe Media Encoder to formats like H.264 (NTSC DV Widescreen)... Quick Tile Movie or AVI without compression (we tested these formats) the 2 audio channels get unsynchronized from the video. The same problem occurs if we get a direct link of the timeline from Premiere to Encore.
And Inside Premiere Preview audio is preety correct.
Does anyone here are getting such problem?
Also..can I ask another question (as I´m not expert on video production)?. What´s the best format for our purpose? Export a video to be played to DVD (we record weedings, birthdays..social events). No problem the time to export. We´d like the best quality for output.
    Thank you for the help
    Gustavo.

    Hi John and techkid123
We have 4 cameras here. 1 is Sony model HD1000 (since it works with Mini-DV cassete we need to capture the image via Firewire). 2 cameras are Sony HD2000 (it generates *.MPEG files if I remember well). And 1 camera is a Panasonic AG-DVC7 (it generates *.MTS files)
We start a new project using the Standard NTSC Widescreen 48Khz format.  When we drag to the timeline for example the MTS file...Premiere ask us if we want to Keep and Change timeline to suit the file specification. Anyway we always have 1 or 2 camera files that has a yellow line over timeline.
But I renders correct...no problem to edit...and we had no problem with Premiere CS5.5 :/
We are downloading the latest update of Premiere. I´ll make some test and publish here if the problem persist.
Thank you a lot for the help
    Gustavo.

  • Audio not transferring to Encore from Premiere Pro CS6

I'm trying to export a sequence through the Adobe Dynamic Link from Premiere Pro CS6 to Encore and the audio is not transferring with video. The video is 30 minutes long with multiple video and audio tracks. The video came through fine, but no audio track. However, I also brought a timeline into the project that was less than 3 minutes and the audio track came with it. Any suggestions/help much appreciated! Thank you!

Yes--that is correct. Audio track in Premiere but no audio track present in Encore. I believe the audio format in Premiere is Stereo. It is HD footage shot on a C-100 camera. The sound was recorded into the camera and all brought in together. I did end up doing the work around that was suggested and just exported an MPEG2-DVD and pulled the audio in manually. But, would love to try to figure out how to make it work directly using Adobe Dynamic Link. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
