7210 Supernova Software got corrupted

Hi,
My Nokia 7210 Supernova's OS or software got corrupted 2 days ago. I took it to a repair shop  and shopkeeper reinstalled the software. But since then I am not able to run any of the downloaded applications including the Browsers like Bolt or Opera mini.  I can't even download the apps from the net. It says "Certificate not on SIM or phone".  What should I do? Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Shashank Srivastava.

Do one thing since you can not go to nokia care you can use nokia software updater to update to latest software version & reinstall the software version, might be that can solve this problem.

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Operating System(Windows 7) got corrupted ..!

    Hi all,
Can someone please help me with my laptop issue ???
    My Laptop Details :
Product name         :  HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC
Operating System :  Windows 7 Home Premium
    RAM                             :  6GB
    Processor                  :  Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU [email protected](2400MHz)
    Purchase                   :  Decemeber, 2010.
    My Laptop problem :
My HP-laptop got infected with "virus" ( it says like found 38 virus).
And because of this virus attack , I was NOT able to open any application , for example say if i try to open "notepad" - then throws a message like " unable to open notepad application, though infected with virus".
So with this , i can confirm that my laptop was NOT allowing me to open anything because infected with virus.
Now i have 2 options to go further :
    1) Remove virus , using antivirus removal software ( This i don't have , so NOT attempting to use)
    2) Recover thru recovery option.
When i purchased this laptop , the laptop contains recovery partition within the laptop , so it's a built-in option.
Though i was NOT interested to keep that recovery partition in my laptop, I just burned recovery manager into 7 DVDs, and then deleted the partition.
With this my laptop contains drives like :
C: drive --> this contains OS related stuff
D: drive --> this contains my general stuff like songs , movies , etc
System drive --> 199MB ( not sure what thid contains )
Now coming to original problem/issue -
I have planned to use recovery DVDs , to recover to factory state.
Started with 1st DVD , it went upto 18% and then asked me to insert 2nd DVD.. and this went upto 30%.. now again asked me to insert 3rd DVD.
With 3rd DVD.. it went upto 40% , and then stopped responding. Nearly I've waited for about 3 hrs.. but NO use.. it's still hanged at 40% only.
So with 3rd DVD , it got hanged or stopped.
My doubt - not sure whether my 3rd DVD got corrupted or not , but i don't think so.. because 3rd DVD worked for atleast 10%..
Finally , I was struck here...
Not sure what's my next step
Please help me what I have to do now, like  what steps to take... etc
    How to recover?
    Thanks
    Kiran

    Hi,
Lets start with your providing the complete product name or product number.
HP has produced and brought to market perhaps more than 10,000 models of notebooks and desktop PCs over the years. It is difficult to help you if we don't know which one you own and which operating system is installed.
Method #1: If the notebook will boot into Windows you can retrieve your Product Number by pressing Fn + Esc key. You can also read the Service Tag (if present) attached to the bottom of your notebook\netbook.
    Method #2:
Remove the battery and look in the compartment where the battery was installed. You should see a printed part number and a product name. Please post one or both of them (with all alphanumeric characters here). If you live outside of North America, it helps us if you post the country of purchase.
Were you using an antivirus product (free or paid) when this issue happened?
What was the brand and product name of the Antivirus product?
    Best regards,
    erico

  • During adding comments PDF got corrupt.

We have given the PDF to our client created using Export option of Indesign CS5 after that we make them comment enable using Adobe acrobat 9 pro software.
Our client freelancer used Adobe Reader XI (11.0.07) which was updated on 22/05/14 to give comments on that PDF.
Once again our client wants to add some more comments in the PDF using Adobe acrobat 9 pro. But during this the file got corrupt. Below is the statement given by them.
"I received the proofread corrections back from the proofreader last week but there were still a few extra corrections to mark on. However when I attempt to mark these extra corrections on the proofs myself and then save it, the pdf immediately becomes corrupt and unreadable. IT were unable to solve the issue but they said that it might be some sort of font error. Could you look into this to see if this is an issue. It might simply be the case that it is a very large file and so it has become corrupt for that reason. I’ve never had this happen before on one of my files though, could you let me know if you have heard of it happening or if you know of any reason why this might happen?"
We are also trying the same process at our end but there is no such problem face by us. We even try to add the comment in the PDF worked by freelance using Adobe reader XI but everything goes fine.
We are able to add comment in Adobe acrobat 9 Pro and no file corrupt issue face by us. Is it possible for you to let us know the reason of such problem at our client end. Size of PDF is 178 MB.
Even in acrobat reader XI we dont face any problem in adding comments.
Is anyone let me know why our client is facing this type of problem.

Linda, I'm wondering if there's some "conflict" being triggered because you're using both Win 7 and WinXP --
Specifically, I wonder if the two systems have off-kilter time stamps, and that's why FM is giving the "newer creation date" problem.
I don't quite understand what role the XP system has in your test, though -- can you not just use FM == and == make the PDF on the same Win7 box, make the comment on that box, then import the comments?
Understandably you will probably eventually need to be able to import comments from all sorts of other systems, but for troubleshooting could you try making the full create-comment-import cycle on the Win7 box only?
If that does work, then you might see of you can set the system time on the XP box to be somewhat slower than the Win7 box, and re-try with the XP box in the mix.
Edit: changing the system time clock is suggested only as a testing procedure, to see if we can isolate the exact cause, I'm not suggesting that in order to work reliably all your reviewers would need to synchronize their systems :-)

  • My iMac HD got corrupted how to recover data?

My iMac HD got corrupted and had to clean format it. Any freeware applications to recover all the data? Specially Documents and images?
I am in deep trouble and need to recover the files soon..
I cannot afford paid softwares right now.

There is no FREE data recovery software.
AND data recovery services are not free either.
If you do not have a backup of your important data and/or system, you are out of luck.
If you can' t afford to purchase any data recovery software I don't suppose you can afford an external hard drive, either?
WIth an external hard drive, you could install OS X and run your Mac from the external hard drive and not use the internal drIve, at all, until you can afford to buy the data recovery software that you will need.
Other than what I have covered here, you have ran out of luck.
    Sorry

  • 7210 Supernova fw 7.23 a lot of problems

Nokia 7210 supernova firmware 7.23 have a lot of problems
    1. After rebooting phone (off and on) all birthday notifications are disappear.
    2. Sometimes radio not working. Need to off and on (reboot) phone. (See video on http://igor-kuznetsov.livejournal.com/7806.html)
    3. While searching names in phonebook. After inputing first uppercase letter always need to switch to lowercase. (not very convenient)
    4. Sometimes while making photo via phone camera, photo saving on memory card with errors. After checking i found that this is not independent of the memory card. I tested on the memory card from nokia. (Memory card was formated in nokia 7210 before testing).
I called to Nokia Service by the number 88007002222 and they said that all errors are be fixed. Six months had passed, but the i did not found new firmware on nokia site.

I recently updated my firmware and have many problems as well. I have recieved no actual support either, but have been lied to that there's a new firmware, which the software updater doesn't display. Nokia's behaviour of releasing clearly untested firmwares and lying is very disrespectful and irresponsible.

  • 7210 Supernova sucks?

I bought today a brand new 7210 Supernova. I chose a Nokia phone to replace my old 6320 hoping that I could import easily contacts between phones of the same manifacturer.
    What a fool I was!
First, I discovered that 6320 does not support the transfer of information directly to the 7210. So far, so good - 6320 is an old model and technology improves continuously. I understand that may cause incompatibilities with old models.
Thus, I thought of using PC Suite to export the data from the 6320 and then import into the new 7210.
I downloaded and installed PC Suite. I accessed via Bluetooth the old 6320 and I correctly exported all the data.
Then I connected via Bluetooth to the new 7210. Connection was OK (the phone was discovered and my Bluetooth stack can browse the phone), but when I tried to import the contacts, PC Suite reported an error "Refreshing of contacts failed".
I tried other applications (Messages, Calendar) and all reported the same error.
I uninstalled PC Suite, run PC Suite Cleaner, reinstalled PC Suite. No progress, same error.
I switched off and on the phone. Same error.
I then tried to use another Nokia as a bridge. It is a new E51. I connected PC Suite to the E51 via Bluetooth, and imported the contacts successfully. Then I tried to use the "Tool->Switch" application to push the data from the E51 onto the 7210. Again, an error was reported by the 7210: "Data transfer not possible. Check data connection".
Finally, tried the reverse - pulling data from the E51. Same error again.
Tried USB, but 7210 has a strange USB connector which is not standard, and no USB cable is provided in the box.
Infrared: no infrared port is available on the 7210.
I am completely **bleep** off. It is unbelievable that Nokia puts in the market such a buggy product. Now I have 99€ less and a piece of junk more.
I won't spend an entire day to manually enter all the 235+ contacts I had on my previous phone to the 7210.
Tomorrow I will go straight to the Nokia center where I bought that **bleep** and I will try to get my money back, although nobody will refund the time I wasted trying to get blood out of stones.
Other phone makers are more serious and I think I will go for one of their products.
However, if anybody of you spent some of his free time banging his head into the same problem and found a solution, please let me know.

    Try the following:
    1. Uninstall PC Suite
    2. Uninstall Nokia Cable Driver
    3. Run "PC Suite Cleaner"
    4. Restart your computer
    5. Reinstall PC Suite

  • How do i retrieve file vault protected files from an external hard disk that used to be my mbp's hard drive? the hard disk got corrupted and will no longer boot. I put it in an enclosure and attempted to copy my files but failed because of FV encryption.

This external hard disk used to serve as the main drive of my mbp. It got corrupted and the OSX would no longer load. I upgraded to a 500gb hd and used the old hd as an external drive. I tried to copy my files but i could not access them because of the filevault encryption. 110gb of hd space appears as used which means that my files are still in the drive. Is there a way to retrieve these files? thanks

According to your post, you're using Leopard, so FileVault only encrypts your user folder (unlike Lion). On the mounted external drive, in your user folder, you should see a file called username.sparsebundle, with username being your user name. Double-click that file to open it and it should prompt you for a password. Type in your password and the file will mount as a volume in Finder. You should be able to copy all of your files over.

Numbers does not open with the main user after installing mountain lion. It works flawlessly when I use the second account on my mac. What got corrupted in the admin-account, something in the user-library? How can I fix it? I´m kinda desperate... (the same happens with the other iWork-Apps!)
Looking forward to hearing from somebody with a littlemore expertise than me, Chris

you can remove preferences files by navigating to the Preferences folder for your user as follows:
    0) Quit ALL iWork apps (Keynote, Pages and Numbers)
    1) from the Finder select the menu item "Go > Go To Folder…".  This will bring up a dialog:
    2) enter the path "~/Library/Preferences" (no double quotes)
    3) find the files:
    com.apple.iWork.Keynote.plist
    com.apple.iWork.Numbers.plist
    com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist
and move these to the trash.  I would NOT empty until later.
    4) restart Numbers

  • HT201272 Having a bad day my iTunes library got corrupted and my back up disk has failed how can I restore my purchases from the iTunes store

Having a bad day my iTunes library got corrupted and my back up disk has failed how can I restore my purchases from the iTunes store? When I try it tells me the pruchases have already been downloaded to this computer.

Does your purchased rmusic appears under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) ? If they do and you don't have the cloud symbol against them so as to re-download them, then do you still have the entries for them in your library i.e. where you would normally click on them to play them ? If you do then try deleting them from there (iTunes will be seeing them and assuming that you still have them somewhere) and they should then get the cloud symbol for re-downloading in the Purchased link.
If you aren't in a country where music can be re-downloaded then you could try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page,

My Windows 7 Professional desktop system hard disk got corrupted and I took the opportunity to install an SSD for a new system disk and reinstall Windows.  The system is up and running on the SSD, with my old system disk now used for storage as it is still readable.  The only Adobe product I have reinstalled so far is Reader XI but I would like to reinstall Elements 8 and Acrobat 9 without taking up more licences as both are also installed on my laptop.  Can you point me to the best way to do this?  - Thanks

  • I cannot install itunes from the apple site .. it keeps saying the software is corrupted and cannot install correctly.. help!!!

I have tried to install the software from several sites including the apple site and they all say that the software is corrupted and did not install correctly to delete and reinstall. this seems unlikely as it has been weeks since I have been retrying the sites with the same results...is there an apple download that will check my pc for any errors that may be keeping the itunes from installing.. or is there anything else i can do to fix the issue.. its unlikely that itunes could stay corrupted for so ling without noticing it and fixing the issue..thank you...

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
