7260 users.... alarm clock

I was just wondering if anyone would know if there is a way to change the alarm clock tone... i can't seem to find where to change it. Another issue is if anyone know how to delete the entire contents of inbox or sent items folders... it's really a pain once they are full to have to delete them one at a time. Any help with these matters will be greatly appreciated.
thank you

No, the newer clock is a feature of OS 4.6, your 8330 is running OS 4.5

  • Looking for a specific Iphone alarm clock app

    Hello,
I have been looking on the apple store for an app that I came across a while a go. It's an alarm clock app with a calculator for morning tasks, so it will ask the user how many tasks and how long each task is going to need, and then it will calculate the total time the user need in the morning. It also has an alarm clock to wake you up according to the time calculator. If you have 5 tasks:
    brush up ---------------------------10 min
    prepare breakfast----------------10 min
    eat breakfast-----------------------5 min
    read news---------------------------5 min
    driving to school--------------------40 min
the total time is 1 hr 10 min. Then you enter the time school starts, 8am for example. The alarm clock will wake the user up at 6:50am in the morning on that day.
Does anyone have this app and would like to share the name of the app with me? I have been desperately looking for it and regreted not saving it to my wishlist on the first time.
Many thanks to the apple community!!!

1password is FREE for a limited time, and it allows you to store login info and notes(you can use as journal) and then lock the application with a passcode. And lockbox does about the same thing, it's free too.

  • Looking for an Alarm Clock app where you do math problems to turn it off

Someone told me of an application for the iPhone that is an alarm clock in which you can use a mode that, when the alarm sounds, you need to solve a math problem or other visual test in order to cease the alarm. That way the user is more awake by the time the alarm is stopped. Sounds annoying, yes, but would be just what I need.
Anyone know which alarm app this is? Or if it even exists?

There's another app that got a lot of press recently called *Proactive Sleep*.
It works similarly to the math app mentioned above but you do a 30 second visual game when you wake up. It also records your score as well as your sleep patterns and can give you recommendations and other feedback to improve your sleeping habits.

  • Song as Alarm Clock Tone Stopped Repeating with iOS 8

This is a statement of fact rather than a question since the Feedback page doesn't allow me to submit anything.
Since the update to iOS 8, my selected MP3 as my Alarm Clock tone no longer repeats. It used to repeat in iOS 7 until you manually turned off the alarm or the Snooze. Now it only plays once and shuts off. Then the Alarm dialogue box remains open. I've overslept twice because of this problem.
I would also like to be able to use my own created ringtones as my Alarm. I am able to use them for my Voicemail and other Alerts, but there's no option for that within the Alarm Clock. Only purchased ringtones.

Happened to me, too (first morning after upgrading). One of those reasons I hate to upgrade and always put it off as long as possible...you never know what they're going to f**k up for you. Add my voice to the chorus of dissatisfied alarm clock users. Why DO they mess with stuff like this?!?

  • Would the alarm clock works with the tablet is off / shutdown?

    Hi all
Some users (including me) will turn off / shutdown their device when they are asleep to conserve device battery life.
Would the alarm clock work if the tablet is off / shutdown? I do know some smartphone alarm clock would work when the smartphone is off and when it's ringing, it would just automatically turn on the device without user manually on it.
    Have a nice day!

  • Alarm Clock 2 not working, any suggestions? Help!

    Hi everyone,
Alarm Clock 2 didn't wake me up this morning, I tested it, and it seems like the clock on the computer is going to sleep when the computer goes to sleep! Are there any free alarm clock programs out there that work with mountain lion?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

  • IPhone Update 2.0 (wipes out alarm clock settings)

Just throwing this out there to encourage Apple to consider backing up and restoring all of the iPhone's data, including alarm clocks please.
Additionally, copy / cut / paste would be nice.
It's one thing I really miss from any other phone i've had in the last 5 years (Palm Treo, Sony Ericsson, Morotola, Blackberry).

If you would like this to be addressed to Apple, you should write this to Apple, and not to a user-to-user forum.

  • Iphone alarm clock didn't work this morning

I set a one-time alarm two days ago and it worked (it went off at 8:20am). This morning at 1:00am, I turned this alarm on again. But it didn't go off. So I did a test: set the alarm time to 10:00am and the alarm didn't go off. Fortunately, I used my wife's phone as a backup.
So the alarm problem is not fixed by itself (The claim by apple that it would be fixed automatically after Jan. 3rd is not true). It seems that this problem only happen during weekend?
The clock app on iphone is just a toy, don't count on it!!! Apple don't have any programmer to fix this problem or just don't care about the users. Apple is becoming another Microsoft.

Apple does care about this issue, the problem is being worked on.
For anything remotely important ALWAYS use a real alarm clock. Never depend on any cell phone for critical functions.
The alarm clock on my iPhone is working perfectly.

  • IPhone Alarm Clock issue after iOS4.0 upgrade

    This is a strange one;
Upgraded to i0S4.0 couple of days ago, and since then the default alarm clock app has gone haywire. It has duplicated each of my alarms (I must've had about 9 in there fore various things) about 50 times.
If I try and delete them, they disappear but if I exit and then re-enter the app, they're all there again!
    Any suggestions?
    Cheers.

I'm having the same issue. I had 8 or 9 legitimate alarms set, as well, but now there are somewhere between 1500 and 2000 with a couple hundred duplicates of each one. The number of duplicates is growing, too, but I can't tell if the additions happen each time I sync the phone or each time the clock program is reloaded on the phone. I noticed this first on my 3G after upgrading it, and it is also happening on the iPhone 4 having all my data transferred from a backup made of the 3G running 4.0. I've also noticed that if I try to delete them from my phone, at some point the clock program becomes nearly unresponsive causing even other programs than the clock to crash and requiring the phone to be resynced.
I've seen a couple of people mentioning similar issues in other threads that sound like they could be related or even the same, and they are always talking about upgrades on the same phone. There doesn't seem to be anyone affected who transferred directly from a 3.x device to a new 4.0 device.
While not a solution, here's at least my suggestion of why it's happening. I've poked around a bit in the backup files stored on my laptop from this phone (under ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync), and I've found two different plist files in the same backup storing the alarms in two slightly different formats.
This is purely conjecture, but I would guess what happened is the location & format between 3.x and 4.0 of where the alarm data is stored changed. The "upgrade" isn't a complicated process that mulls over and handles situations like this during the install. It's just a wholesale firmware replacement. Any changes like this would probably need to be handled by the actual programs themselves when they're running on the phone. Something in the upgrade process that's supposed to translate the old format to the new format is broken leaving behind the old data instead of removing it after the conversion, and every so often some trigger in the clock program (like a check for new data after a sync or just the initial loading when the phone restarts) is causing it to see that old 3.1 style data still there, redo the conversion process, and reimport what it finds as another set of duplicates.
That's only a guess, though, and as it's a one-way backup-only folder I can't edit them and resync to see if cutting them out of the data files on the laptop will remove them from the phone. Even if this is wrong, though, I can't imagine how it could be anything too far different from this. That would be a very simple bug to introduce into the code that would be specialized enough to be easy to overlook in testing. Again, that's all just a guess.
While I'm making wild speculations: I'm guessing the problem with the phone needing to be resynced when deleting several alarms is from one of these files on the phone storing the alarm data getting corrupted. If I was a betting man, I'd say this is likely due to corruption making the XML of the plist malformed from different threads writing changes to it simultaneously because it's so huge from all these entries and seeking through the file to update it is taking longer than anyone would reasonably expect and test for or program to protect against. Because, honestly, who thinks while coding something like this, "I need to make sure the user is safe when editing 2000 alarms..."

  • How do u shut off this vibrate on the alarm clock apps

EVer since I updated my iPad to this ios6 it has been doing odd things. But I rely on my alarm clock to get me up and it is not going off its saying to shut the vibrate off. How the he!! Do I do this?

It would be too user-friendly to put it in the settings of the alarm clock. The only way to control vibration is in settings general and turn it off globally.

  • Alarm clock WinPhone 8

My wife changed from Android to Lumia 920, and there was of course a bunch of changes. One small but very irritating missing feature is the ability to change the volume of an alarm clock. I used to have quite many Nokia phones and all of them had possibility to change the rintone volume or choose sound themes like slowly increasing volume. Now it is only possible to adjust the overall volume of the phone; if I want to reduce the volume of the alarm clock, it will affect also to the incoming call ringtone and vice versa.
I know this is a OS problem, but I just can't understand why Nokia doesn't push Microsoft to do something? How Nokia can even dream of the glory days of the past, if even those small but handy things have been forgotten and functionalities that used to be 10 years ago now deleted. Nokia should not forget the basics people are used to! I was also considering Nokia again when Lumias arrived, but as this alarm clock is just one feature among many other that I would miss, I'll stick in my current phone.

I know the original entry for this thread was some time ago, so maybe nobody is interested now. However, I wanted to add my tuppence worth.
I want a nice phone... no more and no less. I don't do facebook, twitter or whatever else there is.
My old mobile phone broke, so I bought a Nokia Lumia 920. I want to ring people, send texts, and as internet connection is free with the appropriate broadband connection, I can use the internet.
I want to use the basics, and enjoy the lovely display, and lovely fluid movement when scrolling through photos and any other displays.
What I cannot understand is why Nokia (or Microsoft or whoever people want to blame). It is a NOKIA phone... end of!  have taken away basic... obvious... fundamental capabilities.
I completely agree with the original poster... Tele2 (I think it was).
If some people are happy with an alarm where you can't adjust the volume... or length of pause time.
Or where you don't have separate user profiles, so you can switch settings almost seamlessly, without interfering with your usual settings.
That is their choice. But Please... Please... Please...  Do NOT try to defend or justify any of it.
It is the year 2013 (nearly 2014)... I have bought an expensive phone using WinPhone 8.
Yet Nokia... yes, NOKIA... have done away with features that have been on mobile phones since the Eighties!!
It is indefensible... and completely non-understandable... why this has happened.
Put quite simply... it is Rubbish!

  • How to use Spotify as an alarm clock

I use Winamp as my alarm clock, a custom script runs as a scheduled task that randomly chooses from a list of playlist files, some point to local music and some point to internet radio stations. Is it possible to get Spotify to automatically play music so I can add that to my script?  I tried using the "spotify:user:username:playlist:..." and "http" links but the playlist just loads, the music doesn't start playing automatically. Any ideas?  Thanks!

The easiest way is to have a vbs file that does this I have one that plays music atomatically(paste this into notepad): Set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
    Comandline = "C:\Users\Max\AppData\Roaming\Spotify\Spotify.exe"
    WScript.sleep 500
    CreateObject("WScript.Shell").Run("spotify:user:8aller:playlist:4aoBDuMJnk4Oza13a8Fnbo")
    WScript.sleep 3000
WshShell.SendKeys " " Change the path to your spotify app location on your pc.change the my url to the "Spotify Url" of your playlist. click file>save as then save as something.vbs and save as all files click on the vbs script - it should open and play your playlistif you go to bed at the same time every day you can use task scheduler for it to autoplay at the same time every day it is also possible to have the music fade(for sleeping) via vbs and get gradually louder as well(think an alarm).

  • Is there a way that iTunes can act as a Radio Alarm Clock? I have found the radio station I enjoy listening to in the iTunes Radio List. Is there anyway iTunes (and my Mac) can be set to come-on and start playing that Radio Station from Sleep mode at spec

Is there a way that iTunes can act as a Radio Alarm Clock?
I have found the radio station I enjoy listening to in the iTunes Radio List. Is there anyway iTunes (and my Mac) can be set to come-on from Sleep mode and start playing that Radio Station at specific times of the day?
Any App or plug-in that does that?
    Many thanks
    Kevin

Turning your Mac into a clock radio.
    1.  In iTunes create a playlist that contains just the radio station you want to wake up to.
    2.  Export the playlist (as .m3u works well).  Get Info on your playlist file and look at the Open With entry to make sure it points to iTunes, VLC or some other app that will stream your station.
    3.  In iCal create an event entry at the time you want to wake up.
    4.  Right (or Control) click on your wakeup event and select Get Info.
    5.  For "alarm" select Open File.
    6.  Now under Open File there will be a place to add the file to open.  It will probably be some default entry (like iCal).  Click on it will allow you to select "other."  Then use the file dialog to select your playlist file.
Your Mac will wake you up at the appointed time.  You don't need to keep iCal running.  If you want to put you Mac to sleep for the night then there is one more thing you need to do.  Open System Preferences to Energy Saver and click on the Schedule button.  Check Start up or wake and set the wake up time to slightly before your iCal alarm time.
