hi i have been in posession of a 7390 for a while i believe it to be a very good phone but i have been having problems with the screen it suddenly went like a television screen and went all fuzzy and i cannot use the phone now it is there anything i can do to solve this problem???

It sounds like a hardware fault.
You need to visit a nokia care point/service centre for inspection and repair.

Nokia 7390 black screen

My daughter have this phone which is +- 6 months old.I took the phone back to my Service Provider and were told that they cannot repair it , because it's liquid damage.She's never been near any water or steam in the kitchen at all.The person at my SP then told me this will happen if your hands sweat a lot,and there's nothing that they will and can do.I must try and claim from my insurance.I've seen on the net that a couple of other people have the same problems.I really need some help on this one.

this's bcoz the power saver or the sleep mode is turned on.. they r used to save the battary power while u r not using the mobile.. make sure to switch it off by opening the menu,then settings,then display settings u will find power saver option and sleep mode option,choose off. that's all

Remote Screen Sharing (VNC) from outside of my LAN

I often have to connect to my parents' Macs to help them out with various things. I commute between two cities and stay with them when I'm there.
(I set up a dynamic hostname with DynDNS to point to our router, which defaults to port 443, which on the home network is reserved for the QNAP NAS that's set up. I set the router up to be reachable at port 455 but I'm not sure if it is successfully sending IP address updates to DynDNS. I don't see a way to check if it is. DynDNS seems to require a paid account for that functionality and my routers log is also not very helpful. In short, I'm having trouble getting the whole dynamic DNS thing to work reliably with our router, which is otherwise a great little box: a Fritz!Box Fon WLAN 7390).
I use Jolly's Fast VNC (http://goo.gl/UmllQ) to connect to a personal server and that works wonderfully, but then there the details are taken care of for me by my provider and I just have to type in the details.
What I'd really love is something like Edovia's Screens (http://www.edovia.com/)... except for the Mac rather than the iPhone/iPad (though I do own an iPhone copy of it and it's wonderful).
We do share a MobileMe subscription in the family, but that's not very helpful here either.
So far, we've used iChat, Skype screen sharing and I often end up using TeamViewer because of its speed and near non-existant setup.
My goal is to find a way to connect to my parents' Macbooks even when they are not around so I can help them out with problems while they may not even be around. The key here is that I want to be able to control their screens without needing any action on their part.
Suggestions for the simplest possible way to do this are very welcome.

I didn't know TeamViewer could be set up to be accessible without a second user having to be around to give me the session ID and password. I wonder if it's worth looking into that if LogMeIn Free with its server always running is a perfectly acceptable solution? Any advantages to using TeamViewer's solution?
The free LogMeIn account does NOT allow file transfer. The free for personal use TeamViewer does.
LogMeIn server hides in the background, so it is less likely your parents will Quit LogMeIn.com, were as TeamViewer looks like just another app, so they might Quit from it to get it out of the way.
Of course if you need to transfer a file (or 2), you could use DropBox.com for that, and it is a very easy way to transfer files between systems. Or you could store the file on your MobileMe account in a public place, then via LogMeIn copy the file from your public space into your Parent's Mac(s). Or your could use LogMeIn to start TeamViewer, and then use TeamViewer to transfer the file.
Basically once you can start applications on your Parent's Mac(s), you can use any number of utilities for transferring data.
We do have MobileMe. I was under the impression that the way Back to my Mac works is that it will show you YOUR remote Macs in the Finder's sidebar. You know, ones that you're also logged in with YOUR MobileMe credentials. We all use our own, unique MobileMe accounts. Am I missing something?
Yes, all the Macs would need to use the same MobileMe account. Do you all really need separate accounts? Maybe a Family account.
I could deal with the port forwarding and DynDNS but I'll have to set that up to remotely administer my router and NAS, which is turning out to be quite the pain. So if I can simplify, I will. LogMeIn or TeamViewer will do the trick just fine.
Port forwarding is a once and done thing for your parent's router. It allows you to get to their Macs from outside their home. It should have nothing to do with remote admin, or your router and NAS. Also once you can Screen Share your parent's Mac, you can then use that Mac to talk from the inside to their router. Although one must be very careful about making router config changes as one "Oops" and you could loose your remote access, and have to visit Mom and Dad to get physical access
By the way, I've been using VNC/Screen Sharing and AFP file sharing over ssh tunnels in conjunction with port forwarding on the destination router for years. I do this, even though it is more work, because it was available long before most of the above services were available, and because it has a lot more flexibility once you know how to use it. Oh yea, I'm also a Unix software developer and spend a lot of time using ssh anyway

Menu and the icon representation will be disastrous small when highly scalable screens.

A Photoshop nuisance for years: The Photoshop menu bar at the top of the screen and the icon representation of the tool bar on the left of the screen will be disastrous small when highly scalable screens. The size is fixed as set in concrete, no matter what settings in the operating system (Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit) is selected in the menu of Photoshop or. At the present time, this is an imposition. On the net, we learn that this can be changed only by a corresponding script. Does anyone know of such a script here in the Forum? I would (and surely many others) extremely grateful. Blindflug

second, i shall try to response to some of your "dislike" afirmations.
one:
about the translation, it's a classic old translation - the format "efectue" exists since the first phone was translate in french to be sold on the french market. It was standard imputed, and improved with years. I don't want to say that it's perfect the way it is (you should see the romanian version ) ), because neither one (except english) isn't, but it's fine..
two:
Google maps... on a product that uses his own maps, and a prepayd navigation sistem... i don't think they will ever do that... especially when the product owns a gps reciver..
three:
you can copy the files in any kind of location, either the phone memory or micro sd card.
four:
as for the radio, i saw someone posted on this information that the handsfree replaces the antenna, wich is true. if you want, you can switch the radio to the speaker, it's in the radio menu.

7390 freezing

Hi there!
My girlfriend has a Nokia 7390, and ever since she bought it it has been covered in problems.
The most anoying one is when the phone screen turns compleetly white, and nothing can be done to the phone. This accure during calls and during standby. No one can call to it, thus you get forwarded directly to the answering machine.
The only solution is to remove the battery.
The phone has been away to service 3 times. Each time they say that she has to many SMS in the phone, or that the battery power is to low. (maybe 1/3 left) Then they have updated the software and told her to delete some sms.
But now she has 100 sms tops, and the phone is still acting up!
Anyone ever had this problem? Anyone with a solution?

According to service provider, that is the only thing that they have tried doing the three times that it has been sent away.
The phone also shows the same symptoms with another SIM card recently bought for another phone.
it is important to say that this thing happens randomely.. Sometimes alot, and somtimes there is no problem for days or even weeks, and then the problem starts again.

7390 Problem at booting

I have a problem with the Nokia 7390. When I try to switch it on, I get only a white screen. I get no access to PIN Number Menu or other devices. When I connect it to the PC via USB I can find the model. The mobile wasn´t getting wet or falling down so I think it must be a software fault. Can anybody help me, or know this problem?

Isn't the 7390 an S40 phone?
There is no format option, the best you could do is reflash either with NSU or at a service point.
Still back up first, though!

N 7390 security code

I've had my Nokia 7390 for a while and its been working good. Some days ago the screen froze and when I try turn it on, it asks for a Security Code. I've got the right code, but when I press OK, the screen freeze again. After 2 minutes it asks for the security code again. Is there anything I can do with it? I don't have back-up and I really don't want lose my numbers and contacts.

sorry but i suppose you need to get a update done but before doing that remove the battery and leave it for sometime and try switching on again see what happens or else i am afraid to say you need to visit nsc.

Connection Problem with a 5GHz Network - AVM 7390

I have the problem to connect a MB Air (mid 2011) to the 5 GHz network of an AVM Fritz 7390. Sometimes the request quits with a timeout sometimes the MB connects but I'm not able to reach a webpage or the front end of the router.
With the 2.4 GHz there is no problem. The connection with a Dell windows laptop is no connection problem.
Is this a known problem? Please help.

Make sure that your router / wireless access point is set to one of the following channels.
Supported Channels: 36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64, 100, 104, 108, 112, 116, 120, 124, 128, 132, 136, 140, 149, 153, 157, 161, 165
You can see this list in the WiFi section of the System Information screen.

Nokia 7390 - display probs!

Somebody help me!!
I've just received my upgrade phone - Nokia 7390. The phone seems really nice except one thing.....!!
The mini display on the front of the phone when closed does not seem to display any missed calls or text messages received. It merely displays just the date and time and keypad lock symbol. I've tried numerous ways e.g. changing screen saver etc. but nothing seems to change it. It just isn't practical to have a phone that does not display such information. At the moment the only way I can view such information at first glance is by pressing one of the small media bottons on the front of the phone. But the whole point surely is to be able to just see whether you have any missed calls / texts when you just glance at your phone.
Also, when I open up the 'fold' part of the phone, knowing that I have just had a missed call, such a message was not displayed! But yet on another occasion it was - very strange, i hope the phone isn't faulty!?
These probs are very frustrating and surely should just be a basic feature of a nokia - what's the problem, can someone please help?

Nokia 7390 help

I just bought my phone 2 weeks back. Now I've like loads of problems I can't seem to resolve.
1) How am I able to take self-portrait photos of myself? I can't seem to find the option to look into myself using the mini screen.
2) I can't seem to make the photo full screen on my main display. And I'm not talking about on the gallery menu. When you set the photo to the main display, normally for other phones, they go full screen. But for 7390, it's different. There seem to be 2 patches of blue, like those from the preset nokia theme. The one with the blue theme with bubbles in it.
Any idea how to tackle these problems?

1) The phone cannot do that
2) The camera takes photos with a 4:3 ratio - your screen is in a much flatter ration than that. So the phone fills the edges so that the image does not look distorted (streched to fit).

Windows Blue Screen Error Message Appears As Soon As IPod Connected

Everytime I connect my IPod to my computer, I get the Windows Blue Screen error message. Thought it was the cable, so plugged cable in by itself. No problem. Uninstalled IPod and ITunes software and then plugged in IPod, still got the Blue Screen. The Blue Screen says something about "recent plugged in device problem". It is not the cable, it must be the IPod. Did not have this problem when I bought it. Tried it on labtop and get the same error message. I can't do updater or anything that requires me to plug the IPod into a computer because the Blue Screen appears immediately. When I unplug, the Blue Screen remains and locks up the computer so I have to restart each time. I have tried everything I can think of. Please help.

I am not able to start the computer in safe mode, safe mode with networking, last good known configuration etc, Each time it quickly blue screens and restarts about two secs into the process.
I was unable to try a clean OS install from the disk as it gave the blue screen error shown in the original post. The same thing happened when I tried to use the repair option on the XP home disc. So i can't get into the computer at all to start diagnosing the fault, the only clue I have is the error message, and after searching the internet I haven't found much enlightenment from that yet.
If you can help me out or suggest where to search it would be much appreciated.

Adobe Photoshop CS2 opening an image in middle of CS opening screen?

Can anyone please help me with a way of opening images in CS2 where after opening they will appear in the middle
of the CS screen rather then in the top left corner?
I can drag and maximize so they appear in the middle, but on reopening another image they default to the top left again, I would like them to always
open in the middle?

Still having problems? I was struggling to find any documentation for CS2 online, but realised that my bookshelf goes back to Photoshop 6, and I have Martin Evening's Photoshop for Photographers CS2. Unfortunately, I could see nothing in any of the Preferences tabs that would help.
At this stage I don't really know what you have tried? You should try to reset your workspace, and if that does nothing, reset your preferences. The usual way to do that is to hold down Shift Alt Ctrl while opening Photoshop, but I don't know for sure that worked with CS2.

Can not properly view cover flow in full screen in external display

My mac is the new Mac book pro 15.4 inch screen and I connect my mac pro to external display e.g. Samsung LCD monitor 24 inches.
The bug is that I can not PROPERLY view full screen (in external display) for some application e.g. iTunes, and Front Row.
- When I use iTunes, I can not properly view Cover Flow view in full screen (in the external display screen) except the case of mirror display.
- For Front Row, I can not view full screen in external display but only my mac display.
However, for other DVD or VDO players, I can view movie on external display in full screen and I still be able to do other works on my mac screen.
Please let me know how to solve it.

Did you check the Zoom setting?
Have you tried a reset (reboot)? Hold HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears.
If it isn't Zoom and a reboot doesn't help try Settings/General/Reset - Reset all settings

Company Name not getting Displayed in the incoming screen

I changed my blackberry from earlier 0S 7 to Z10 two days ago, but to my surprise it is not displaying company name in the incoming call screen. I have more than 20 people whose name is repeating and not able to identify, how come this feature is not available in the new model, what is solution ?

@ is a default value as per ALV internal process. This is used in icons .
I think this is causing the confusion.
Check in the fieldcat if there is any adjsutment to be made to handle this.
