7510 low battery beep?

I bought my wife a 7510 and can't find where in the menu system to turn on a beep when the battery is running low.
I've got a 6131 and mine beeps but I can't find where I switched it on.
Has the OS had this option removed?

You should go : settings - my shortcuts - voice commands - audible alert. Here you have to re-edit the default alert messages. ( see if there is an open mouth icon ). Hope it works.

    Hi,
I do not think there is a solution at this time however you may try this workaround if it works for you. This will disable the notification completely.
Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options. or simply tyoe Power Options in Metro UI.
Choose the plan you use most, or do it for all 3 if you switch it up, and click the 'Change plan settings' link under it
    click 'Change advanced power settings'
after which you will get the power options window, then its just..
Battery > Low Battery notification > turn it OFF.
hope it works for you. Good Luck !!!

  • Low Battery Beep

    Product Name and Number
    HP Envy M6-1188CA
    Operating System installed
    Windows 8
Any changes made to your system before the issue occurred
Brand new, and I have updated the BIOS from one of the forum answers, but the beep is still there.
    Brief description of the problem
When the laptop is low on battery, it starts to beep loudly.  They are not the system sounds, so they cannot be disabled from the system settings.
Here's a video that would describe the situation better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHEsODMOk0I and read the description at the bottom after the video.

Can you listen to audio from Envy speakers well?
Check if your Envy speakers are the default playback device from:

Has there been a fix for the IdeaPad U510 system beep sound when the battery reaches 10%? This is a pretty serious fault IMO.

    hi j2014,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
Can you try pulling up Device Manager /
Click View on top of Device Manager Window and click on Show Hidden devices,
Open Non Plug and Play Devices and rightclick on beep option and select Disable.
also Open Power Option and Advanced Power Option of your preferred Power Plan,
Look for Battery and open it.
set all parameters to  (0/zero) - do nothing.
Saved all changes and Restart See if it will make the beep still on Lowbattery.

  • How to unplug/disconnect the internal spkr on a HP Envy m6-1105-dx, due to low battery beep?

So this annoyingly loud beep is not going to work. I cannot study and utilize my new laptop with this problem. How do I disconnect the internal speaker on the laptop? Thank you for any help.

I would recommend getting the issue fixed before you unplug the speakers, have you run HP Support Assistant and updated all the drivers and BIOS?
    Have you called support?
If the battery is above 10% charged do you get the same issue?
In the end it is your PC, so I'm giving you a link to the guies, the Service and Maintenance guide has instructions on taking the notebook apart, but it is not something to do lightly, I recommend the support avenue first.

  • How do you disable the LOUD low battery beep on Envy M6 laptops?

I bought TWO HP Envy M6-1105dx laptops for Black Friday (Too late to return them now). I have spent days and hours speaking with HP tech support, case managers, supervisors, corporate office and senior case managers and it all seems to be the same. "Theres nothing we can do for you, theres nothing wrong." Well, HP is wrong. There is a problem when I listen to your tech suport to change settings, update BIOS and spend hours out of my day to "attempt" to  fix one of your design flaws. Want to know why this beep is a problem? Im a law student. We use our laptops all day for typing notes in class, homework assignments, 4 hour in-class exams (all on the computer) and for work in the library. It is absurd to think that you would sell me $1400.00 worth of computers and expect me to "deal" with a problem that literally scares professors, classmates and others in this type of quiet setting when a loud smoke-detector sounding beep rings through the room. How embarrasing! You just better hope that one day someone, child or adult, is not seriously injured by the reaction to this "smoke detector" alarmingly loud sounding beep. {Content Removed}If anyone else can come up with another solution to fix please help, since everything posted so far has not worked. Thank you!

it doenst work..pls find a solution because this is anoying

  • No low battery alarm when on the call. (Nokia 700)

There must be some bug with the low battery alarm on Nokia 700. When the phone is on a long call, it just shuts down without any alarm at all. I had this issue several times. My battery shows that it’s full for about 30% or something. Then I call and have a long conversation. And the phone just dies without any alarm at all. When I try to start it again it seems that battery is drained and I have to charge it to turn it on again.
When the phone is in standby and battery is starting to running low, it beeps and shows a message. However, when I am on the call, nothings is happening, it doesn’t give me a message that battery is low and that it’s time to connect to the charger.
It’s a most important functionality I expect from the mobile phone, to be able to make a call reliably.
    It’s a Nokia 700
    Software version: 111.030.0609
    Software version date: 2011-11-26
    Custom version: 111.030.0609.c00.01
    Language set: 111.030.0609.05.01
    Product code: 059G2D6
    Type: RM-670

It seems to me that after I've got version 111.030.0609 installed by Nokia service technician, my Nokia 700 never goes into power saving mode (and it doesn't matter what do I have in Setup / power saving / power saving query). It doesn't turn saving on and it doesn't ask me about it. Something must be wrong with 111.030.0609

  • Low Battery warning went away?!

HELP!! For some reason, my MacBookPro 17" stopped giving me low battery warnings. It always used to, but now it just shuts off without warning. I've read through the other discussions for tips and here is what I have done so far: I've re-calibrated the battery, reset the PMU, zapped the PRAM, run all software updates, and run disk utilities. So far, nothing has helped. It used to get down to roughly 6-12% battery life showing and the icon would change from black to red and it would beep and flash and tell me that I am running on reserve power. Now, the icon is still showing as black and then the computer just shuts off when it is still reading around 30% charged. I don't know what else to do, but this is extremely frustrating. This machine is less than a year old. Please help!

    Ladies and gentlemen,
This is my THIRD battery on a 15" MBP 1 year old. It is again shutting down at 50%. My first issue was that the battery would lose its charge very quickly and then go to sleep. My second battery started shutting the MBP down with 50% and would not boot up unless the power supply was connected. Does Apple have any answers to this? I have been speaking to my Apple dealer and they will have to test the MBP to try and figure out what's going on. I have also changed my AC adapter once because the led would turn off in moved slightly. Now this new AC has a few kinks on the cable around the connector. I am tending to think that if you twist it too many times it may get some wires crossed, I don't know. I getting very frustrated. I am teacher and I am constantly using this machine all around the school; a PC based school. I'm not giving a good name to Apple.

  • Low battery audible notification

I've had my BB8200 pearl flip for about 6 months now.  Occasionally I forget to charge my battery and will have the phone in my pocket and it will die and turn off.  I might go hours before noticing it has turned off and often I have missed an important call.  With previous phones I have had they would always have an intermittent beep or audible warning me the battery was low, I would then charge it up if I could or I would turn functions off to extend battery life until I could get it recharged.
It surprises me that there is no option for this kind of feature for this phone, is this the case for all blackberry phones or just this model?
Is there any chance that it was just an overlooked feature and might be added in a future release of OS update?
This forum has been great so for in helping me answer questions with out even having to post, I just read through previous posts and can usally find my answer that way.  So far I have only seen one other post regarding the low battery notification... it had 0 replies.
Thanks for any and all help offered.

You know what, I think I have heard the beep in my earpiece... I can't honestly say I have heard it beep audibly from the speaker.
You could check out MeterBerry, which will give you a low battery alarm.

  • Very Low Battery / Resetting issue - lets make Apple fix this!!!

There appears to be a lot of posts within the last few weeks about the "Please wait, very low battery" message and constant resets EVEN ON A FULL BATTERY. I too have begun to experience this problem. I can only think that there is some kind of bug that has been introduced with the latest firmware and itunes combo. Can anyone that it experiencing this issue, PLEASE put your experiences in a reply to this thread. As an addition to my post below, I have also heard that using the prior version to the latest Itunes in conjunction with the latest may also be the root of this problem. I have been using two itunes, the latest at home and a slightly older one at work. Can anyone shed anymore light on this possibility?
This is from a reply post I made earlier tonight:
I noticed my ipod 5th gen 60 gig was strangely in the red on battery life, so I connected it to my macbook pro and answered a few emails. I then noticed out of the corner of my eye that the ipod resetting. Weird! I had never seen it do this while attached to the computer. So, I went back into itunes and it said something about not disconnecting the device physically - some how the pod had reset and disconnected itself. So, I re-attached it, and moments later, it reset again. Instead of attaching to the computer, I attached the pod to a wall powered usb charger (non-official). After a few minutes, the pod said it was fully charged (weird), so I disconnected it. I thought I should check to see if it was playing music ok and started playing a song. It seemed ok, so I skimmed through a few tracks. Soon the ipod reset itself and started to continuously reset as if in a loop. After several reset attempts (menu and select) I was presented with a "Please wait, very low battery" message screen...
Hmmmm. I thought I should attach it to the wall charger and leave it to re-charge, thinking that the battery must be just plain out of juice. I got past the very low battery message and into the menu with a reset. Strangely, the battery showed as being fully charged... Disconnecting the pod and playing several songs again, the unit reset and showed the low battery message... Leaving the pod attached to the wall charger, even though it said it was fully charged, didn't remedy the problem. More resets when playing a song or two.
Initially I thought that it was a faulty battery. But, before I jumped to conclusions, I googled the above message. This showed me that this is a reasonably common issue with several possible causes. Some of the suggestions to remedy the issue included:
    * Reset the ipod - nope, same problem
    * Restore the ipod - did this first up... No go
    * Put the unit into disk mode attach and restore - nope
    * Drain the battery completely and then re-charge on wall charger - nope
    * Open the unit, disconnect the battery, and re-attach - I really thought this would work, but nope.
    * Disconnect unit, insert wall powered usb, start unit to reset it - nope
    * Buy a new battery - NOPE, same thing keeps happening even with a FRESH battery!!!
    * Put the unit into diagnostic mode and then charge... This kind of worked in the fact that it actually charged the new battery...
It appears to me that the battery status is all out of whack. The OS seems to think that the battery is completely full, and hence, doesn't take a charge. Equally, even though it says there is a full charge, after the unit plays one or two tracks (requiring a few harddrive seeks I suppose) it will exclaim that there is no battery remaining, reset loop and eventually enter "very low battery" mode. It does the latter even if the battery is new and appears to have been charged (via the diag screen).
So, where to from here... Well not entirely sure, but I reckon that what I have to do is drain the fully charged battery WHILE the unit is active. Perhaps then, it will re-calibrate its internal battery meter... Right now, I have been able to put the pod into disk mode and it is actually showing a battery icon WITHOUT the fully charged symbol (the little plug icon). It also shows a slight depletion in battery remaining. My hope is that this depletion will get bigger over the next few days and, if it does, it may right the funny loop-like state it is in.
Has anyone got ANY other ideas as to how to fix this problem. As a side note, I updated the pod to firmware 1.3 recently. I am considering a restore using an older firmware. Where can I track down 1.2? Can I press the option key and click restore to choose an alternative restore image from the 1.3 already in itunes?
Any suggestions/help is EXTREMELY welcome as I am almost about to give up...

I think my problem actually might be the same ... the other day it was full battery one minute, and the next it was saying "Please connect to power, low battery". I wasn't near a power source, so i just left it. Then it started making this funny whirling sound and the screen went silvery blank, so i figured it was the hard drive crashing. I hooked it up to the computer overnight and the next day I could at least get the apple on the screen to show up and the computer would recognize it somewhat. When it's hooked up to the computer it goes from the apple screen, to please wait, very low battery, to the regular screen with a fully charged battery sign, to the "do not disconnect" screen with the battery charging.. When the "do not disconnect" screen appears, sometimes the computer recognizes it. But when it comes up it first says that an unknown error (-124)has occured and the ipod cannot be synced. And then it says the disk cannot be read or written to. After I press okay again, the screen goes to the apple and back to the please wait very low battery screen... and then in tunes it says the ipod cannot be synced because the required folder cannot be found. Then it comes up again and says iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPod. Go to the Summary tab in iPod preferences and click Restore to restore this iPod to factory settings. Now I would try to do that, but I don't have a summary tab in the preferences, if the preference tab they refer to is under the edit section. For the couple of seconds the my ipod settings appear on the screen, the files on it aren't even the same as before. It says I only have 7.78GB of only songs on my 30GB. Not only do I have more than 7.78 GB of songs normally on my ipod, I have videos and games that also should appear. Everytime it reconnects however, the GB go down? Now its at 6.07GB
It also makes this beeping sound randomly. Sometimes it when the ipod goes into the very low battery screen, but sometimes it beeps during the apple screen, or sometimes during the do not disconnect screen.
The most frustuating thing for me is that about mid-March I sent my iPod away to get a new battery before my warrantee was up. I got it back the first week of April, good turn around period, but instead of getting my old ipod back, I got a refurbished one. Now this is happening to it, and my warantee is already up. I know it can't be the battery that's wrong with it, there may be something wrong with it, but I'm sure they know better than to give me an ipod with a dead ipod.
    Now it's coming up as 5.77 GB . . .
When it first happened, I was hoping that I could simply hook it up to the computer and click the restore button. This is impossible however because I can never get to the restore button before the computer unrecognizes my ipod.

  • My Torch will randomly vibrate and make a low long beep randomly

A few months ago I noticed my phone do this, but I didn't’t know it was my phone. I vibrates for ten to fifteen seconds or so and lets out a low consent beep. I am not playing in games and there is no notifications of any kind. At first I thought it was because my phone was on the charger, but it has done it off the charger and with many different levels of battery power. It has even done it when my phone was on silent. Every time it has happened I haven’t even been touching my phone.  Does anyone know what it can be?

  • 6500 Classic low battery warning

When in silent mode, my phone does not warn me that the battery is low. As a consequence it dies in my pocket and I have no idea until I come to use it again. Does anyone know how to get it to vibrate when it has a low battery? If this is not possible, then does it have a warning tone that I can turn on???
    Cheers

It has a low audible beep when the battery levels hit low.

  • Sleep without low battery warning

    Hey all,
My MBP 17" - 3weeks old- has twice in the past 48 hours gone to sleep straight without any low battery warning. It has made numerous beeps while just going to sleep but wakes normally.
    Suggestions?

If you haven't already, make sure to calibrate the battery, following the exact instructions in the manual or on Apple's article on calibrating the battery. (Make sure to scroll to the bottom for the MacBook Pro instructions.)

  • [S430] 0190: Critical low-battery error while battery full

    Hi,
my one year old S430, which currently has its third mainboard and has already spent around three months of its young life in warranty repairs, shows a new problem since the last repair:
When powered on while on battery (with the battery fully charged) it beeps twice and shows "0190: Critical low-battery error", refusing to boot. This happens frequently but not always.
If i am fast enough i can enter and leave the BIOS-Setup and the problem is temporarily healed - machine boots normally.
With the first two mainboards i had never run into this. The current one had a prehistoric BIOS Version (from 2012) after replacement, so at first i thought this might cause the problem - but actually the problem persists after an update to the latest BIOS Version.
For the S431 this seems to be a known problem fixed by the latest BIOS. Any ideas/suggestions for the S430?
Oh, and PS: Thanks Lenovo for the excellent customer experience. When people ask me which Laptop to buy (which happens quite often), my answer is now "anything but Lenovo" (used to be "get a ThinkPad, be happy" before the S430).

    Good day.
To clarify, you've posted in an old thread for a very different, and newer generation model of ThinkPad.
    (new thread created)
To answer, there's no such pinhole reset button on the T410s. It's a feature on select, newer generation models.
    Hope this helps.
