755p Hot Sync erased all previously saved pics...Advice Please.

Hello,
When I Hot Sync from 755p to PC, all pics from device are usually saved to My Documents\Palm OS Desktop\755p\Photos\BackupForInternal\Palm so I typically delete the pics from device because all new pics are added to any that were saved previously to PC and I have all pics I ever took. Unfortunately, I do not have memory card and did not back up the pics from PC to disk.
Today, I Hot Sync and the new pics that were on my device were saved to PC as usual but this time all pics that were saved previously to PC were erased.
How can I get these erased pics back?
Will system restore (Windows XP) to point prior to last hot sync work?
Thanks!

Unfortunately then the data is lost. I talked to a tech here as well and it might be possible to do the system restore and get the pictures back. But the system restore is meant to recover system data if there was a bad program installed or to recover to an earlier point for better system stability
What are the chances that recovering to an earlier point will recover the images to Palm Desktop?

My macbook crashed the other day and i've been searching and searching for some help but nothing has come up... so anyway i need to get my music/movies/T.V shows/pics off the ipod and onto the new computer, but the problem is, is that it says i have to delete the contents of my ipod to sync with other computer.  I have purchased songs and a ton of movies but the rest has been from my friends and whatnot.  I need to know how to move the music/shows/movies to the new computer without using the old one.  is there such a thing?

  • Installing iOS 5 erases all previous data

Installation of iOS 5 erased all previous data on my iPad. Help! Prior to iCloud being in the picture, where were all my photos and documents backed up?
I am attempting to locate the files which vanished upon updating to iOS 5 - hundreds of pdf files, thousands of uploaded photos, screen shots, saved photos from web, ALL GONE. So were all my acquired apps, although those have been replaced - now I can begin or attempt to reconstitute the complex folder structure (notes, notes 2, notes 3, etc.) which grew over the last few iOS iterations, from too many apps stuffed into folders with strict limitations on contents. Tedious, but possible. Re all the photos, I'm still looking for clues: Is solid state storage similar to that on disk drives – does deleted information still reside on the drive, just not on the index?
Also, post updating, I am continually being prompted to authorize my computer, even though it is, and my Apple ID is intermittently rejected as if invalid, this is causing syncing challenges.
    Thanks.
Weary of chasing side effects of upgrading operating systems.

Same for me, when install was finished all was gone, but strange enough the disk space bar was indicating 14Go other and that was exactly my content "in app" without apps, photos, video and music. So this data was not accessible due to missing apps and all my photo/video/music was gone.
I had exactly the same issue last upgrade, and last time I decided to resync my media content and started to add apps one by one again, and by magic almost all the apps managed to find back their data in the 14Go "other" that was still in the IPad. But I had to redo a lot of work like Icon position, some settings, and some apps didn't restore well. Took me a very long time and effort to get back to a nominal situation.
So this time I deciced instead to click "Restore" before doing any sync and used the backup that was generated automaticly just before the upgrade to 5.0 (so still with version 4 of ths IOS)
The process started, the Ipad rebooted and firmware was then loaded again (still 5.0) and the 14Go data from the backup was reloaded also, and this time after this quite long step, itunes started to restore apps, music, photos and videos one by one ... was quite a very long process but at the end all was perfect, storage was back to 40 Go including my 14Go data and all photos, videos and apps, with all setting perfectly restored.
    Hope this help,
    Patrick

  • T|X hot synched to Windows 7. Bluetooth hot sync deleted all info on Palm creating .bin file on PC.

I realize the subject line may be a bit wordy...
I tried installing Palm Desktop on Windows 7 PC with partial success.  It appeared the Hot Sync Manager was operating, but the Palm Desktop would not load properly.  I tried hot synching using Bluetooth.  Hot sync deleted all information on Palm and created .bin file on PC.
Is it possible to retrieve info from .bin file and reinstall on Palm?

Hi and welcome to the HP Support Community.
I have never heard or read about Palm Desktop creating a .bin file from a botched Hotsync.  If the Hotsync did not complete and the data is wiped from your handheld, I am not optimistic about restoring the data.  Do you not have the data backed up via Hotsync on a different computer?

  • Windows Vista 755P hot sync - It works!!

Here is what I did to make it work with a USB Cable:
    1. Remove palm software from computer if you have it installed
    2. Remove outlook 2007 conduit updater
    3. go to registry
    Start>Run>regedit  and do the following:
    4. Current_User
    5. under current user find software and remove the following:
palm should be 2 folders (delete these)
    6. under Current user then go to US Robotics folder and delete it (if you do not have a US robotics modem that is, if you do have a modem open the folder and delete only the Palm entries.)
    7. go to palm website and go to support,
    8. under support go to downloads
    9. at the top of the pager on the right under more downloads download "palm desktop and hot sync manager" MB
    10. get a new copy of outlook conduit updater while your there as well.
    11. Install Palm desktop.
When asked if you want to sync Palm desktop or outlook check the second one. Sync with Desktop and outlook
do all the steps except do not SYNC at this time Make sure you hit Skip
    12. after you complete the desktop manager install install Outlook conduit updater that you downloaded above.
    13. hook up your 755 and hit the button to sync it.....
Please keep in mind that this works for me. Please make sure that you edit your regisrty with caution

I was having trouble trying to sync my 755 to my vista.  I went to the website palm/vista...downloaded the software...tried to install the software on the cd (it should read: DO NOT INSTALL)...and my computer could not hotsync or find drivers... it kept recognizing it as a 680 but warned that it was not installed properly.
That post was the only thing that worked for me.  thank you
Palm's little sticker on the software CD was totally unhelpful
I spent about a week on and off trying to get this thing to work.. Thanks alot for the post. I was able to sync my 755 to my new vista installed laptop flawlessly

  • Sync erased all my Apps

After months of successful syncing with my MacBook Pro, my 3G got the message that it was not an authorized device. The computer then erased all the Apps I had downloaded, along with any song I hadn't purchased from iTMS. I tried the "restore" function - no luck. Anyone? (iPhone is using 2.2, but I upgraded last month without problem.)

Hmm. Think I might have answered my own question- it looks as if iTunes did not sync the newest apps from my phone, and then erased them as they were not listed in the apps sync window. Hey ho. Will have to download them all again...

  • Itunes sync erased ALL contacts from my phone and address book empty

So I must have chose something wrong when I ran a sync and it erased my address book from my iPhone.
What do I need to check or change before my next sync to make SURE all my address I re-entered on my iPhone are synced with address book on mac instead of mac overwriting my phone and wiping them all out again?
    Thanks in advance!!!

I am VERY dissappointed that the alleged 'smart' operation of iTunes sync would so nonchalantly and impulsively erase ALL the contacts on my iPhone.  Can't it at least WARN YOU... "Hey, I'm doing something that most likely 99.9% of people doing this don't want to do, but, screw you, I'm going to do it all the same" -- bye bye contacts.

  • HT1296 i have an ipad with many application, will the first time sync erase all the data?

i have an ipad with many application installed on it, will the first time sync with itunes erase all the installed applications on the device?

The iCloud settings for the computer and other devices are in the iCloud preferences in System Preferences. If you open iTunes with your iPhone connected to the computer, select the iPhone under Devices in iTunes' sidebar, then click on the Info tab in iTunes' main window. Look at the various items you see listed. Be sure to check the Mail component for your GMail account because it is not an iCloud mail account. Your Calendar and Contacts components should state that they are being synced by iCloud.

  • IMessage contacts not synced- read all previous threads

Hello, i am on a 2011 MBP operating on OSX Yosemite 10.10.1
I only have numbers in my Immessage conversations, instead of contacts like on my iPhone and iPad. I have iCloud synced on everything. Any ideas or fixes are greatly appreciated.

    Please try the following…
First check that all your settings are correct, that contact syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the contacts you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' group and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud group (you can do this by checking in groups), non iCloud contacts will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your contacts are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking contact syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling contact syncing.

  • Sync erased all my itunes content

I synced my phone the other day and lost all my music, tv shows and ringtones on my phone and my computer.  The message that I got was that there was an error and itunes had to close.  Does anybody know how to get it back without paying for it all again?

She needs to sync her phone to HER account on HER computer with HER iTunes library. Syncing with YOUR iTunes library does exactly what you described. By design.

  • IPhone 4 sync erased all my phone numbers

Okay, call me technology-challenged but I'm new to having an iPhone and getting used to the sync-ing process.
Had a Verizon phone ported over to my new iPhone with 100s of phone numbers in the address book. The first time I tried "sync-ing" with my Mac Pro, I was really just trying to recharge the iPhone and get some tunes on it. Next thing I know, ALL of my phone numbers disappear from the iPhone and I have all these useless old email addresses in the contact list of the iPhone.
I'm the type of person who doesn't keep phones numbers in the Address Book on my main computer because I don't need phone numbers in there ... just addresses for my email lists for my business.
    So, is all lost?
I noticed that it said the iPhone was "backing up" before the sync-ing process began but can't seem to find the actual back-up file anywhere or any way to "restore" it.

Thank you for your reply. I'm not sure with what I'm syncing my contacts.
Then it is time you looked.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars: Scroll down to Contacts and note what (if any) accounts are listed.

As long as the backup on your external drive is fine, it will restore your Mac to exactly how it was on the date of that particular backup, all data included. I have used it before and have retained all data from the date of the backup.

  • Previously saved forms now blank...

Using Reader on Andriod (Nexus 4) for work verification forms. I have been using the app for the past two weeks to record job information, gather signatures, etc. When I went to pull up the forms for completion and invoicing, they are now all coming up blank. All previously saved information is now missing.
Any clues on what happened, or ways to retrieve a previous version? This is 13 clients in a large geographic area, would be very difficult to obtain signatures again.
Also, my documents are not syncing between my Android and cloud.acrobat.com. Changes made on one device do not show up on the other, even though mobile link is enabled.

Could you please confirm that your Mobile Link was turned on while trying to get the documents signed? Also, please let us know the Adobe Reader version that you are using.
Also, as you mentioned that you do not get the option to save the document to Acrobat.com, did you tap on the overflow menu an not get the option to save the document to Acrobat.com? This scenario is only possible if your document is already saved to Acrobat.com. For all local documents, you must get this option.
Also, signature tool gets 'flattened'(embedded into the document) as soon as you close the file, hence it is a more reliable way of adding the signatures. Once a signature is added, you can always clear it to add a new signature.
Could you please also confirm that the 'Recents' list does not have different documents with the same name?
    Thanks,
    Adobe Reader Team
