760gm-e51 + and fx-4100 = blank screen no bios

Newegg had a combo deal with the fx 4100 and the msi 760gm-e51 (not the fx the box does not say fx after e51) .... Everything comes on, fan works but no keyboard lights flash or anything on screen upon powering on..
Is the board DOA? I mean even with an fx processor shouldn't I still be getting to POST?
I bought 2 of each but I don't want to open the others as I'm thinking of returning and buying a newer board. This is for client so I need any help as fast as possible please.
Power supply is antec earth watts 440 watts active PFC, I have the CPU power cable plugged in.. I've swapped the power supplies and no difference. All lights come on, HDD, DVD rom ejects, all four on board CPU LEDs light up ( unless I unplug the CPU power cable then only one led ) ... The board has VGA, dvi and hdmi but I'm using only VGA... Confused..
Thanks everyone,
Drew

Are you sure there is no sticker with the number on it? If BIOS 1.x no FX support, if BIOS 3.x yes FX support. I'm pretty sure only the (FX) version of MB supports FX CPU.
My suggestion would be to return them with an explanation the FX 4100 CPU is not supported on the non (FX) version of the MB. They sold a combo deal that didn't have a chance or working together right from the beginning.
SL500, your problem has nothing to do with this topic. It might be a similar problem but is a different MB with a Rana CPU and has nothing to do with FX CPU.
Do not hijack other peoples topics with your own problem.

I have been getting emails but recently I switch on and just find blank screen but the app says I am getting mail this is now happened to me twice any ideas?

    Quit mail like this.
Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart the app and see if it works normally.

  • Click on the iTunes Store it only loads half way and gives a blank screen...

My internet connection is fine, and when I open up iTunes everything comes up right, my iPod works perfectly. But when I click on the iTunes Store it only loads halfway and gives me a blank screen. HELP!

There are at least 20 threads pertaining to this problem (some from last year, one I saw was from 2006). I suggest anyone who visits this thread redirect to https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3223139?start=0&tstart=0. It has the two most popular solutions and anyone with ongoing issues can discuss and/or form an unruly mob there.

  • HT4061 Iplugged in, and later a blank screen--and will not start.

I tried to charge IPAD, later only a blank screen.

Are you using the wall charger? If totally discharged, it won't give an indication of charging for about 20-30 minutes.

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. In rare instances when using the Camera Connection Kit, you may notice that iPad does not charge after using the Camera Connection Kit. Disconnecting and reconnecting the iPad from the charger will resolve this issue.

  • M45 S355 recovery stops and goes to blank screen

I am trying to do a full system restore on an M45 S355 using the recovery disk.
It goes through the process, to the screen that says to remove all diskettes and disks from their drives and hit a key to continue.
So I remove the CD and hit a key.  At that point, the hard drive stops, and it goes to a blank screen.  The computer is still on, it just won't do anything else past this point.
If I turn the computer off using the power button and then turn it back on, I get the screen where I can choose safe mode, last good config, start windows normally, etc.
No matter which option I choose, it does the same thing -- hard drive stops and I get a blank screen.
    Any ideas/suggestions?

Try popping it on charge for 15 min and then pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds.
Mine did the same thing yesterday.

  • I select camera and get a blank screen

I was just using the camera and deleted two pictures, closed the app and decided to go back in and when I select it I get a blank screen.  It stays blank.  How do I get my camera to work again?

If you do not see the Camera on any of your Home screens (you may have more than one), check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tapping Settings > General > Restrictions. If they are, set Allow Camera to ON or tap Disable Restrictions. You can also use the search function to find the Camera app.
Ensure that camera lens (the main lens or the front lens) is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the main camera lens or the display glass covering the front camera.
Third-party cases can interfere with the autofocus/exposure feature; try removing the case if you have image-quality issues with photos.
Try turning the iPod touch off and then on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of the device for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
iPod touch (4th generation) camera has a fixed focus, so verify the picture is in focus before taking the photo. Moving toward or away from the object may help with focus.
You can tap the screen to set the exposure. This will help with picture clarity.
If the issue is with the main camera, try using the front camera to see if the issue persists, or try using the main camera if the issue is with the front camera.

  • Blank screen after bios update

    Hi everybody!
My friend asked me to take a look at her computer. It was quite old HP pavilion 6525en. Before reinstalling windows I checked that she got first version of bios and decided to upgrade it. Sadly, after reboot I found myself in deep problem. There was a blank screen. I decided to look around in internet and found that its a common problem. (have updated lots of bios, but never happened stuff like that). So I found couple articles about Phoenix crisis recovery and decided to try that. Should I know something before I dive in? I know that I need thumb drive or usb floppy and how to enter CRM (crisis recovery mode), but all these sounds scares me a bit. How long does beeping takes after thumb drive stops flashing? Can it overheat, coz I found that fan won't slow down? can anything burn during this? (I know, lots of questions, but I'm cautious, coz I just wanted to do a good job for my friend and now it seems that I might have to get her a new computer )  p/n: GT391EA#ABB. Any help would be appreciated.

There is no harm in trying crisis recovery, the recovery should take 2-5 minutes, you should get some sort of signal or sign when it is done, most systems will automatically restart when done.
I don't know of any reason it would overheat during crisis recovery.

  • Blank Screen (Raid/BIOS Problem?)

Have been running a stable setup for several months with the following components:
    845 Ultra ARU (PIV 1.6A)
    Gainward Geoforce III  128 MB
    2 - Seagate Barracuda IV
    Kingston 512MB DDR
    Enermax EG365P-VE
    Windows XP
All running at default values (i.e. no overclock).  Very stable until this weekend when the screen went blank while in rest mode (no programs running).  The system did not respond to anything other than the reset button.
The system boots normally until it attempts to start Windows XP (at that point producing the same blank screen no response/no warnings or error message setup).  BIOS settings appear unchanged and the array appears to be functioning during the startup (sends back that message and correctly identifies the 2 disks).  Attempting to repair the XP setup (using the XP install disk) does not recognize the array as a properly formatted device (it sees it just says the format is unknown).  Booting on floppy with the array drivers allows a directory of a third disk that has always been installed on the secondary IDE controller (it's not bootable just a backup of old information) but does not recognize the format of the arrayed devices.
    Thinking out loud:
    Could a BIOS flash help?
Are there any other suggestions before I'm forced to have to reformat the array?

Wasn't able to come up with a bootable floppy with FDISK on it.  Copied the data onto the small drive hanging off the onboard IDE controller and attempted to reformat the array.
However the XP format fails at various stages on the formatting.  Checkdisk also fails in phase 4 (sometimes right away and other times after a period of time).  The error messages are non descriptive (just XP was unable to complete the function) and after the failure the drive is not accessible until the next time the computer is turned on.  Tried to delete and reinstall the array but that doesn't appear to do anything (the data is still there which surprised me).  Is there a way to completely wipe out the array and start over?
Don't think it is a jumper issue (it worked for several months without a glitch) but will check.  Can't see what would have happened to the driver but will try to reinstall the motherboard driver (I understand that has the RAID driver as well).  Could try and reflash the BIOS?

  • Blank screen after bios update succesfully thinkpad w510

Hello everyone, I update my older bios 1.34 to the newest bios 1.45 with the driver in the website lenovo driver, after the succesfully install, the pc restart and now I have a blank screen..
I think the bios failed and now I need to rewrite it... I tried a clear CMOS but nothing appear...
I tried a bootable CD and usb but nothing again...
the pc has already been opened so I think the warranty does not work anymore... I'm really lost...

Un-plug laptop, remove battery, wait a minute or so, then re-insert battery and AC, and turn on.  Do you see *anything* on the screen, or does it remain completely blank?   When you listen to the machine, does it seem to do anything?  How about if you put in a start-up CD, then power on?

  • 790FX-GD70 - Blank screen after bios (never shows Windows Loading screen)

    Setup:
    Phenom II X4 955
    790FX-GD70
750w PC Power and Cooling, Inc PSU
    Western Digital HDD
    ATI HD2900XT
    x-Fi fatality sound card
    Windows XP x64 Pro
So hardware wise this setup has not changed in over 8 months.  However tonight I restarted (first sound cut out so i decided to reboot).  Lo and behold on the reboot, it will flash the MSI splash screen and allow me into the bios but when I go to boot it will not show the windows loading screen.  It sends me to an active (my monitor doesn't go into standby) black blank screen (no text or error msg) and won't respond to any keys.
Anyone else ever have similar issues?
    Thanks
    Verik

I appreciate it guys.  I did a little more digging around the internet and found it was most likely due to a corrupted MBR.  The fix usually involves booting from a win xp disc and typing in the command "fixmbr" in the recovery program.  However I inserted my win xp disc and it simply went black..... then loaded up windows just fine.  Pulled the disc out, did a normal restart and it seems to have solved itself.... At this point I'm not sure entirely what it did but I'm just being thankful its working haha.
    Appreciate the input guys.
