nokia 7610 fell in water. and now when switched on it says contact retail service. please help.
Contact a Nokia service/repair center ( http://www.nokia.com/repair ).
However, it may be unrepairable depending on what kind of damage the water has done (or will do if it is still wet/moist inside, and corrosion of electronic parts is continuing).

by the way the nearest apple care center is two countries away .You have a phone that was returned as defective. How it got into the market again is anyone's guess, but the ONLY way to resolve it is to call Apple, and that may not resolve it either if it was pilfered by someone at an Apple repair center.

No Service when 3G switched on
I have a 3GS iphone and it has started showing "No Service" when 3G is switched on, even if I am in a 3G zone or not.
I have tried all the factory resets and restores but no joy. When I restore I have done it from itunes, is there anyway of resetting completey but still able to somehow transfer my contacts??
Help please.I've been having the same problem with 3G service. My 3GS always says: Searching...
Then: No Service
Then sometimes it picks up a signal, but I can't call out (Call Failed) and can't send texts.
Service under Edge Network works fine. But that's not the service I'm paying for every month!
Have you found any solutions? I've followed all the steps below, and got a new SIM too. I did not yet restore as a new phone, though. Wanted to see if it worked for you?
1. Power the iphone off, then back on.
If no change, continue:
2. Reset: Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the apple logo, then release. Ignore the slide to power off. No saved data or settings will be lost.
If no change, continue:

I have a 4th gen. Itouch wiht IOS4 and i want to update it, but when i click the update button in ITunes it says "contacting IPod software server" and it looks like it is loading. However, after about 5 seconds it stops and says "ITunes could not connect to the IPod software server". I found the apple webpage that is supposed to help me, but when i went to the LAN settings in the control panel i found that 'Automatically detect settings" was already checked. I do not know what to do, Please help.
If yo mean the iPod will not connect to your wifi network:
Does the iPod connect to other networks?
Do other devices now connect?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

After my macbook was serviced, when I tried to open CS6, it prompted me to key in the serial number. After keying in, I got error message saying the serial number is invalid. However I have checked that it is correct.
