770-C45 not POSTING but powers ON (fans & lights working)

Alright guys, I received my parts (cheap upgrade build) yesterday and connected it all up only to find a 'NO SIGNAL' message on my monitor.
Specs are as follows:
MSI 770-C45
AMD Athlon II x4 620
2GB DDR3 1600mhz Hyperx Memory Cl9(9-9-9-27)
Zotac 9800GT Eco Edition (Does not require cable from PSU)
Hiper TypeR 530W PSU
I initially connected all my components (3x SATA HD drives, 1x SATA DVD drive) but later tried going down the basic route (components stated above) but still to no avail. I am able to power everything ON as all the fans are working and the 'ActivePhase LED1' turns blue but when connected to my monitor it stays blank and goes into sleep mode after displaying the 'NO SIGNAL' message. I then tried switching the PC off but both the power button and restart button seem to be frozen (even after holding the power button down) so I resorted to the swith on the PSU itself.
So far i've tried:
1. Taking everything out and reconnecting/checking cables
2. Using a different GPU (my old 7800GT) which still gave my the same outcome (No signal).
3. Clearing the CMOS using the jumper
4. Changing the RAM position (from DIMM1)
So i'm basically stumped as to what to do next Any ideas guys?

Did you connect the 12V CPU power?
You've gotta be kidding me!!! I foolishly thought the CPU power was the one next to the main M/B one as it was a 4 pin but after searching the motherboard for another 4pin CPU socket it was right there next to the CPU!!! How could I have missed that! (Mind you the black PCB does camouflage the black sockets...)
Thanks a lot for the right solution

Yep, did you update or do you have bios 1.4 installed? I flashed my board today and the picture does not show when it boots even if the logo is enabled in bios, when I flash it back to 1.3 it comes back

I was asking him if he had the latest bios installed, not you, a simple enough question, if you don't have this board I'm not interested in your opinion, I have no problems with this board and I updated the bios because I felt like it, no other reason, and I really don't care if you think that’s no reason to update it, I know what I’m doing, I only wanted to know if it was a bios bug so I could report it to MSI
Be happy you didn't have a BIOS update failure.  If you post your specs and the details of your issue, I'm sure people will still be happy to help you.

  • DPG4 does not post -- but the power button lights up

I'm totally lost at this point... My old PowerMac no longer powers on. I managed to somehow get it to boot when I had this problem once before, but this time I'm getting nowhere. When I press the power button, the button itself still lights up -- but that's as far as it gets; as soon as I take my thumb off of the button, it goes dark, and the system doesn't even try to boot. The steps I've taken so far to troubleshoot this are: removed all third party components, (including a 512MB DIMM, a USB2 PCI card, and a 54g wireless PCI card, as well as several USB devices) removed the power cord and backup battery and pressed the PMU reset button. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Fortunately, this is no longer my primary system -- a white 24" Intel-based iMac takes that title now -- but it would be awfully nice to be able to install one of my Leopard licenses (from the family pack) on the old G4 to use it as my Time Machine server.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.
Additional information: I just successfully booted the machine, through a series of (what I would call) almost random configuration adjustments. Here's what I did... I opened the box, yanked the backup battery and pressed the reset button again, and tried to power it on. I then noticed that the optical drive was connected to the ata33 interface. Thinking that this is a bit odd, I swapped it to the ata66 interface. (My two internal harddrives are both connected to the separate ata100 interface... is this a truly bizarre set of interfaces, or is it just me?) I then pressed the power button -- and the machine fans started blowing, and then stopped. Suddenly very interested, I promptly disconnected the power cable from the optical drive, and then tried again -- no dice. I pressed the power button a few times just to see what would happen, and I observed the fans on the rear of the power supply and one case fan were spinning up for just a bare moment about every few times I pressed the button. I then disconnected the main power interface cable from the motherboard, and did the whole pmu reset/battery out/pmu reset/battery back in series, and then replaced the power interface and pressed the power button. Voila! It powered up, so I promptly logged into the site and started typing.
Now, here's my thoughts: I would assume that the fact that it is presently booted up and running (albeit without the optical drive) rules out a failure of the front interface; do either of you concur? Also: I have not yet taken my multi-meter to the power supply, but my first instinct is to think that the power supply is just on the edge of my current wattage requirements, and disconnecting the power from the optical drive is what allowed me to boot. Correspondingly, I would speculate that this could be caused by either 1) my add-ons have exceeded the 400 watt output of the power supply, or 2) the power supply is indeed starting to fail.
So... since the machine is running at the moment, are there any diagnostic programs I could run against the power supply to find out if it's operating at design specifications? I'd expect this would be more accurate and more safe then me poking around with a multi-meter -- and it would be less expensive then a trip to a Mac repair shop, though that is certainly the next step if the power supply is dying.
    Thanks again for your advice!

Can any one let me know why the system is not updating the mseg-dmbtr and as well affecting MB51 report

The settings in Customizing which define that no negative stocks are allowed for the storage type, have only an effect on the transfer orders. In addition, you must also set message L9040 as an error message. For this, call up the Customizing and branch to: 'Logistics Execution -> Warehouse Management -> Interfaces -> Inventory Management -> Allow negative Stocks in Interim Storage Types'. There, execute point 'Control of System Messages in Warehouse Management' and enter message type 'E' for message number L9040

Why oh why, you and this guy same old story: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=137277.0
Why did you buy a 3 channel memory RAM kit made to be used on an Intel X58 chipset MB and then stick it in an AMD system that has 2 channel memory?
Yes, I was thinking this as well.  Also, PSU is insufficient for system.

  • MSI Neo2 Platinum will not POST, but fans spin.

I bought this board about 2 months ago.
I install the board and it works fine, until a few weeks ago. Im playing fear and it crashes into BSOD...then every time i try to load a game BSOD. This points to the memory- so i look at my DDR booster, and teh memory is a little off...i correct it and the game loads fine. I play for a little longer, then exit to windows and then the computer just starts BSODing like every 5 minutes. So i was like " it" im going to cut the memory back...strangly, the only dividers that work were 133 and 183...the rest just did not work.
Then finally, i restart the computer, and no POST screen. I clear CMOS, nothing. Take the battery out for an hour, nothing. Take the memory out, no POST...I dont get it...the fans spin and everything powers on, but no signal is sent to the monitor.
Then today, a few weeks later, I plug in just a PSU and a video card.  Same thing happens:  Fans spin, no POST.  oddly enough, whenever power is supplied to teh mobo it turns on, it doesnt wait for a power button to be pushed.
2 things that might help diagnose the problem:
Almost every BSOD pointed to ntfs.sys
The PSU makes that clicking sound like its restarting about every 10 seconds when i boot up and there is no POST.
Anyone know what i need to do? All other componants work fine in a AV8 3rd Eye, so it is the mobo.
    Thank you.

Welcome to the Forum.  Please post complete system specs by creating a "sig" as described in the forum rules. Be sure to include complete power supply specs (brand, model and amps on 3.3, 5 and 12 volts) as shown on the label on the side of the power supply itself.  The fact that a component works in the ABIT board does not mean that it is not the problem in your board, so don't forget to list all components in reasonable detail (e.g., memory size brand specs, hd, cards).  Please confirm that you board is MSI #7025 too.  Good luck.
EDIT - We need to know your Bios version and whether you flashed, and if so, how and from and to what versions.
fixed.  All info should be in sig.  I have tried 2 different PSUs, my Powersream 520 and my Antec SL400 all to no avail.
I did flash my bios via booting off a floppy to the most recent beta bios, but it worked fine for a good while before eventually failing.
All the componants in the sig were working fine in the mobo, and my HTT was 305x9 Stable.  I was using a DDR Booster.
And im sorry, what do you mean by MSI #7025?

  • K9AG Neo2-Digital Dead? Not Posting but all powered up

    Hmm.
have just plugged back in my machine after decorating my flat, Vista fired up and went to desktop, I went in the kitchen to grab a drink, came back, and the monitor is on powersaving mode as if it blanked out for the screensaver. Wiggled the mouse, nothing. Hit some keys, nothing. Pressed the power button, nothing. Held the power button down for an eternity - didnt even shut down. No HDD activity, but all fans whirring away and seemingly 'on'.
    Spec:
    600W OCZ PSU
    XFX 260GTX GFX
    4x 1GB 633mhz DDR2
    Phenom II 945 x 4 CPU
    Vista 32 Bit
Now, the only way to shut down my pc was to turn the power off from the PSU. I switched back on. No post screen, nothing on the display. Sat in sleep mode. However, all fans on, DVD-R light gives a flash, HDD spins up, but no HDD light, nothing. Again, only way to turn off was to turn the PSU off.
So I go about taking the components out, cleaning, reseating, even took the CPU out and replaced with my original Athlon x 2. Still nothing.
Anyway, I'm at a loss. Im guessing the motherboard must be fried? Is there anything I can do without having to take it to a specialist to charge me the same money as a new mobo will cost me?

Is your CPU the 95W or 125W version?
I suspect that CPU VRM MOSFET(s) may be fried. None of the 125W AM2/AM2+ were supported and then along comes AM3 and they show support for those 125W CPU's. Doesn't make a bit of sense to me, I've seen it on other similar MB's also. Look at the MOSFET's to the left of the CPU and see if any look overheated or burned.
This is a different MB but is an example of what to look for:

  • PM8M3-V Not posting but did post once

Hi everyone, First off I should warn you I'm really new at this.
I built a computer with the components below and turned it on. Everything powered up fine, onscreen information did not show the sata hard drive and also said the floppy drive was missing (I didn't install one). I went into bios and disabled the floppy and changed nothing else. My husband was helping me at this point and Windows tried to load but was unable to. I don't know if he tried loading it or it did it on it's own after exiting bios (Windows xp home was installed about 1 week ago on this hard drive on another machine, long story but that computer's what got me into building a new one)
Shut down the system to check the SATA connections. Unplugged and replugged them. They were ok. Went to turn back on the computer and everything sounded and lit up just like before but no display on the monitor. (I figure I need to address this problem 1st, then I'll see why the hard drive is not being seen. There were discussions already that will help me on that.)
I have gone through the basic troubleshooting guide, I did everything in there to resolve the problem. Removed the motherboard to see if it's shorting on the case, cleared the bios with the jumper JBAT1 and by removing the battery, verified the components are compatible, there are no beeps to determine any codes. Tried restarting after removing the cdr and hard drive. no change. I cannot find any more suggestions to try in the forum.
What could this be? What else can I try to resolve it? Tested the monitor on another computer and it works fine. Checked all the cables on it too. Could this be something with the on board video card? I do not have another video card to test with though. I don't think so because I had video the 1st time. Help, what do I do next?
    Thanks for your help

No, I have not. Unfortunately I lost video before I could do anything. Thanks for your input. I hope you know of a solution.
I also realize this is very similar to the post a few before this, I did think it was different enough for a new post because I had video once. I had tried all that was suggested to that inquiry also.

  • HT1665 My iPhone 4 will not charge, but powers on when plugged in. Suggestions?

Yesterday, my phone charged just fine and now, it's as if my charger cable has become Google. As stated in the title, it doesn't charge, but after I turn it off and plug it in, my phone powers on normally. So, I'm hoping to get some suggestions as opposed to my last resort: Buying a brand new, over-priced charger that will stop working only after a month and a half just as my current one has.
I'm assuming that the problem is my charger cable because I've tested it on other iPhones and got the same result.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
Also, try a different charger, they are not that expensive.

  • 770-C45 No POST, video; 1 CPU light

Received my new parts yesterday and hit a wall.
My problem is that I don't get POST. Also, after powered on the power/reset button seems to have no function.
I can turn the system on and things seem well on the physical side minus the fact that I only get 1 CPU light.
I have the 24 and 4 pin connecters connected including the CPU fan.
I've tried reseting the CMOS and switching the mem around, as 1 and a pair.
    Help would be appreciated.
p.s. I should be able to get the cpu 4 lights without the video card, correct?

Never heard a beep from this mobo.

Is the CPU inserted properly? No bent pins etc..
Is the BIOS 1.1? Minimal version that supports your CPU.
I inserted the CPU properly, do pins get bent when you put the clamp down?

    Hello Pankaj,
There are two mthods, first one is F110 > Edit > Proposal > Proposal List. Another way is SE16 > REGUH > input X selection criteria in input field REGUH-XVORL (Indicator: Only Proposal Run?)  to list proposal pending for final payment.

  • Dynamic Portal Page does not show but called procedure behind it works

Hi I run into a bug that I try to solve unsuccessfully for 2,3 weeks. Here is the problem. I have portal dynamic page that execute a PL/SQL procedure to delete and insert data into a remote app table. When I compile and execute the procedure in Toad it does not give me any error or warning. But when I execute this procedure in my dynamic page the page does not show up but I check the results and data does delete and insert. So my procedure works behind the scene but the page does not display. As I look into detail of my code I found out that when I rem out the insert statement my page does show up and delete the data but when I put back the insert statement my page does not show up and data insert to the table. Here is my code structure of my procedure in plain words. I have a procedure that have a cursor for loop that
check if a certain condition exists if it is then it will delete data from the remote app table then insert a select statement data from 2 joins tables. Any one have run into similar situations like this and have any idea, please help. Thank you all.

The scripts for this should have shown as:

New emails come in and i can open them but none of my previous emails appear and the loading circle hour glass thing keeps going. I've tried reinstalling bridge and i've tried pairing the device again over bluetooth, any other ideas? I know i could just factory reset the playbook but i'll loose all my data.

    Hello rudeboouy,
    I have a few questions:
What version of the BlackBerry Bridge do you have installed? (BlackBerry Bridge 1.0.0.83)
How long have you allowed it to hour glass?
    Does an error message display?
    Thank you.

  • Source Table not Partitioned, But destination is, Will Streams Work?

I want to use Oracle streams to setup replication in a single source environment.
Here is what I need to do:
I have a sorce data base where tables are not partitioned and oits an OLTP system.
I have another DB which has same schema as OLTP, but some of the tables are partitioned. Also it has some additional tables.
Now my question is can I setup Streams to move incremental changes from Source DB to Destination DB.
For Partitioned tables do I need to do something special so that it works?
Another question is I want to propagate changes only once a day, is it possible using streams?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Yes.. Streams work and the data gets propagated when there is no partition on one side and partion on the other side. It will even work when the paritition ranges are not same.
Propagating changes only once a day -- sure, possible theoritically but not sure how we can achive this.. I think starting and stopping the capture/apply process whenever needed will give you the required result. There is no control on propagation .. only control on Capture and Apply processed.
