790XT-G45 one of the capacitors fell off
Hello there msi community and hopefully some MSi engineers :D
Today i opened my case for some dust cleaning and one thing really scared me - I saw a small capacitor laying at the bottom of the case. within few minutes i located the spot where it's missing. i marked it on this picture with yellow http://img585.imageshack.us/img585/4845/msi790xtg45.jpg .
But the system is running, I ran Folding@Home for quite a while (so 100 percent usage) - and everything works like before,
So my question is - what is that exact capacitor's purpose? Should I be worried that something won't work correctly? If yeah what?
Question two - if this needs to be fixed is there an easy way I can do it? I've got some soldering skills...
I don't want to jump right to RMA, now it seems that everything is working so I really doubt it's RMA-able in the shop I bought it in (here in Slovakia).
Had you installed your OS while the controller was set to AHCI, you could change the mode to IDE. If you really want it in AHCI, you can do a registry fix, BUT, unless you need AHCI for hot-swapping, I'd stick to IDE. While in IDE mode, you can edit the registry and then reboot. Reboot again and change the mode to AHCI.

But, like I stated, if you do not need hot-swapping capability, use IDE.

if it still has its tiny retaining tabs, then you should be able to pop it back on. If they’re no longer there, then it won’t stay on. -
S750 power problem. Which one is the capacitor C61 68uf/450v
my s750, it often reboots (suddenly the standby LED turns off and back to red light, volume setting lost) when I turn up the standby power, and It's getting worse.
as far as I know, replacing the capacitor C6 68UF/450V is the only way , but I can't find it , could anyone tell me the exact location of c6 I think It's a pretty common problem of s750 , there must be some who successully repair this problem, A photo would be a big help, I really appreciate itsome photos of s750 psu board, I don't know if C6 is shown in any of these photos.

I got one of the free books of Itunes and I'm wondering how I read it. I double click and nothing happens. Is it only for Ipads and Iphones??
If you have one of the public-domain books provided by Project Gutenberg (these are books published many years ago and which have therefore fallen out of copyright, such as the Dickens and Jane Austin books), you should be able to open it using Calibre:

You may have multiple entries.
Open Keychain Access in Utilities, enter the part after the @ sign in the search bar, hit enter
The Password rejection can confuse people since it's a catch all meaning...
This Password, Username, Authentication method... is not recognized on this Port to this Server, more than one entry in Keychain for each in/out entry, or a server end problem.
If using a browser to login via WebMail works it's not Name or Password, but one of the other ones.
The receiving email ports are:
IMAP is port 143
IMAP-SSL is port 993
POP is port 110
POP-SSL is port 995
Outgoing ports are...
SMTP and SMTP-SSL is on ports 25, 587 and 465. Port 587 has to be SSL, and port 465 is enforced TLS-wrapped and is generally used by Outlook users. -
Earlier i was applying Artic Silver to my TI5900s (ms-8929) memory chips and i found 2 small capacitors on the paper i was useing to put the card on, i think they fell of from somewhere, my best guess is on the back Near the fan Clip (that black thing that holds the wires in place), the card runs fine and so do the fans, if anyone can geta picture of the back of the card near the clip for me that would be great, if the card runs fine im hoping these capacitors didnt mean anything. I just want to know where they came from.
After all that how much did the temp drop, that card runs cool as it is anyways.
I suggest you get a magnifier and inspect that whole card.
Now you really stand a chance of voiding your warranty if you try to RMA that card and they find out you used AS on it. It'll either be refused or you will have to pay for rework.

I am having problem with signing in i do have icloud id but the password that i am putting in is not working.I do have 2 phones and I only use 1 icloud id and 1 email, so when i tried to resend email i did received it but when i created new password it still did not work.Please help me.
2 ways- 1, from a backup, or 2- if you sign in to icloud from your computer you should be able to get any data you had synced with icloud.
Your other iphone thats using the same ID should also have access to that data. But if the data was not synced or backed up, then no. -

Fix number one: turn one of the Gmail applications off. Then it will come to just one app.
Fix number two: You must turn on cellular data/LTE on your device to access your 4G LTE or turn off your WiFi to use cellular data.

I have just downloaded a Cold Chisel album and one of the song cuts off after 3.20 minutes even though the song is 5.51 minutes long, it just suddenly cuts off, what can I do to get the whole track downloaded?
Depending upon what country that you are in have you tried deleting and redownloading it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes ? If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

Received my Droid X 5th Aug. Yesterday I started to take a picture and noticed the snap button missing. Now I have a choice pay $90 to receive another phone or not use my camera. AND if I send my phone in for replacement and it is decided the missing button is physical damage I will be charged $600. Im glad it was not the power button that fell off!!!!!

Yes it does have the shutter button on screen.
As for the rep at the store, it sounds highly suspect that they would not take to time to look at the phone if you made a trip up to the store. If they did not look at it I would have insisted that they do so, or speak to a manager.
Maybe the button fell off, maybe you dropped the phone and it popped off, we will never know for certain. This is a case that should be settled in person at a corporate store.
As for threatening to take your business elsewhere because of this, good luck. Sprint calls bad phone updates physical damage, T-Mobile has crap coverage area and won't stand behind their products, AT&T just sucks in general. -
Really! It just fell off no bumping or dropping. My 3000K is almost three years now.
I was reading email and the fan went to full speed three seconds latter it shut down. I rebooted and it shut down right away. I took the side off. Booted again. I could tell it was the process fan running fast so I touched the housing heat or vibration. I notice the fan assmy. Was loose on one side. And it shut down. I put a screw driver into one of the screw slots and the whole fell off. All four screws were still in the mother board with a tiny ring from the Assmy still on the screws. Then when I took the screws out of the board the bracket behind the board with the screw threads fell down behind the board. I was able to shake the bracket out but I not sure I get it back into place and secure to mother board without removing the whole board.
Unless a new assmy. Has much stronger screw supports I will be better off to epoxy this one back together and use it.
Is there different grades of the compound to put between the assmy. And the processor.
Has this ever happened to anyone?

Drop the computer down to a bare minimum of components installed.
Remove any extra hard drives.
Remove all sticks of RAM except one.
If your computer has integrated graphics and you are using dedicated, move to integrated.
Remove everything externally from the computer (e.g. components connected to USB) except mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
Reset the BIOS by removing the battery for five minutes and then placing back in.
Reseat your processor.
Once you have done all that, try to boot up your computer and see if the observations are the same.

Today I opened my MacBook discovering the plastic fell off the area around the display. It works fine. I tried putting the plastic on. It stayed on until I closed and opened my laptop. Why is this happening. The glue could have not given out already, can it? It is one year old.
Is your computer hot often and do you use 3rd party software to keep the computer on then you shut the lid? Because the glue may have melted somewhat. This shouldn't happen. If you have the extended warranty, send it back or if the warranty is up, take it to a shop and see if they can do anything.

I accidentally melted one of the keys on my Mac, what do i do
i lit a match and lit a candle,of course i blew it out but i think the top fell off onto my keyboard and it was still hot and it melted it a little bit. It still works but i have to press it down hard. its the "Y" key. HELP! my dad will kill me!
Take it to Apple and have the keyboard replaced.

BK fell off but no score change
My BK7 was scheduled to officially fall off in September but I just noticed it no longer appears in my Experian report. I have not observed a change in my score yet but i will wait a few days, hopefully I will see a significant score increase. I'm at 665 FICO8 right now, I'm hoping to bring it up to at least 675 to have a fighting chance at refi with DCU

Work on that util, try doing some PFD's for the collections, and 6 mo from now, hit up the CRA's for early exclusion deletion. Keep plugging along, and work on the util. The cli will help. Which cards do you have? we can give you some advice as to CLI on them
