7916 Expansion Module Power Adapter Alternative

hi all,
i received a 7916 expansion module but it didn't come with the power adapter.
i heard (or maybe read) somewhere that you can use the power adapter of Cisco APs.
i tried to google but giving me cisco vendor site.
anyone can confirm the alternate model and its voltage?

You can compare the specs, but why not order the correct one:

CP-PWR-CORD-xx=

  • Power Adapter alternatives?

Rather than paying $30 for a power adapter for a 5th G 30gb video Ipod, what other non-apple adapters would work with this?
I've seen several on Ebay, but I want to make sure they're compatible with the 30gb video Ipod.
    Anybody use one?

  • 7916 Expansion Module - management of listed extensions/names

I have 70+ offices with various setups.  In some cases I have 7975 and 7965 phones with 1 or 2 sidecars, up to the main office with 3 recepionists with 2x 7916 sidecars with 48 potential buttons.
Right now if I want to add an employee, I have to either go through each sidecar, and basically re-enter the information past the point of the new hire, because we keep them in alphabetical order.
Or, I have to export all details, convert to spreadsheet, find the section with the BLFs, transpose that, update it, transpose it back, convert the file back to CSV, upload to CUCM, and then import the file.  We hire/move/fire 8-10 people a month lately (as we prepare for 30 percent of our work force to hit retirement age in the next 5 years), and this is a LOT of effort.
Surely there is a better way?

You have to create a datasource on WebLogicb with the JNDI name: jdbc/ADFDBDS
The steps involved to create a datasource can be found here: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/apirefs.1111/e13952/taskhelp/jdbc/jdbc_datasources/CreateDataSources.html

  • Cisco Expansion Module 7916

I have an issue with the 7916 expansion module on a Cisco 7965 phone.  The sidecar loads properly (wilt all the configured extensions) and the page 1 & 2 buttons on the bottom luminate correctly.  However, the side LED buttons do not light when a line is in use.  I can press an extension and it calls correctly but only briefly flickers green then does not light.  I have switched sidecar, power supply and phone as well as looked at the configuration setting in CM.  Any config/solution someone has come across that they may be able to help with?  Thanks in advance for any information.

    Hi Ronald.
Did you try to configure one of 7965 button as BLF speed dial?
    Did it work?
Which version of CUCM are you running?
    Which firmware 7965 is running?
    Let me know

  • Power Adapter Ring alternating Green/Orange

The LED on my PB power adapter keeps alternating between green for about 2 seconds and then orange for about a second. This happens continuously. I've tried 2 different adapters.
    Any ideas?

I also have similar problems. My machine is not so far gone. The battery works normally and seems to have a proper charge life. The problem for me is during recharging. Like so many other people on this forum, my mac's ac adaptor light alternates from green to orange while trying to charge. the icon alternates from a percentage charging to a frustrating 'no batteries available' message. I have 2 bateries, both seem fine. The amount of users with similar problems confirms this. I have tried every possible angle, including a drastic zeroing of the hard disk and fresh install of the system and my software. I updated to 10.4.6 right away, not making the connection that it may be the cause. I tried resets to the PMU, I bought a secong power adaptor.
    ATTENTION APPLE MODERATORS -
Please help us and respond to this! Please have a look at how many similar posts there are with no real solutions. The recent batter update did not address this problem.

  • Noise on audio output when using the power adapter

I'm a musician and use my mid-2007 MBP 15" in my live rig. When I use the power adapter, I hear a buzz, sometimes accompanied by a slightly louder buzz that cycles on & off about 1x/second. There are a few weird things going on here:
    1. The buzz does not happen all the time. That leads me to think it may be noise in the AC line that the adapter is plugged into.
    2. The noise is heard when I use both the built-in audio output AND an external USB audio interface.
In any case, when I disconnect the power adapter and run my MBP on battery, the noise goes away completely. I can probably do this on most gigs, but I'm a little nervous since I run a FW drive, an external USB audio interface, and my midi keyboard (powered by USB) so I am putting a little heavier than usual load on the MBP's battery.
As I said, this may be a noisy AC line. Another guess is that it's the PMU inducing noise into the audio circuitry. I'm hoping a simple AC line filter can help me but I thought I would ask here first in case anyone else has dealt with this. TIA for any help!

I had a similar problem and fixed it with a $5 universal travel adapter. Yours might be different but here's my situation. Try it for little cost and see if it works.
I'm also a muso with an iMac running external KRK speakers via USB Mbox2. Previously I had a Macbook Pro and the same audio problem. I've been putting up with a very low volume, high pitch noise until now. I simply plugged the Mac power cord into a universal travel adapter which then goes into the wall. For Aussie users there is an adapter on ebay that will allow a 3 pin Aussie plug to go into female side and has a two pin Aussie male on the other. For US users you can probably get the same although there is a 59c product that will do the trick called a ground lift adapter. Applecare actually agreed this was the best fix and confirmed there would be no problems with power supply or Mac performance. What a gem ! God knows I've looked into all kinds of alternatives that could have cost hundreds instead of $5.

  • How do you prevent screen from dimming while on power adapter?

I don't want the screen to dim while I'm connected to the power adapter. In the Energy Saver module, it is optimized for better performance, which sets the following parameters:
-set to sleep when inactive (never)
-put the display to sleep when computer inactive for 30 minutes
Nevertheless, after periods of inactivity, the screen will dim (not sleep). I can't seem to stop it from doing so. Any suggestions?
    YoungTurk

There are two things that will dim the screen - the Energy Saver and the Ambient Light Sensor.
In the Enerygy Saver panel select "Options" and then there is a check box that you need to uncheck. Since it is one the Options screen you may have missed it.
With respect to the Ambient Light Sensor, I think it should remember your settings once you set a brightness.

  • Where to buy a S12 power adapter, and any cheaper option?

I enjoy using my new Lenovo S12 ION, but getting tired of bring the power adapter to workplace everyday. So I was thinking of getting an additional power adapter. Where can I buy one? And is there any cheaper option (knowing that genuine Lenovo one is gonna be expansive)? Thanks.

I picked one up from eBay for $12.98, including shipping.  It comes from China, but they send the US power cord.

  • HP Pavilion Power Adapter Beeping/Not Working

I just made a post earlier tonight about how my HP Pavilion dv7-1014ca Entertainment Notebook was running too hot. Well now I've got bigger problems.
The battery on my laptop has been shot for a while now. My notebook isn't even 2 years old yet and I've gone through3 batteries. For whatever reason, they just aren't lasting. Last year I also had issues with my power jack not working properly. I got it repaired last summer, but in the past two months, it seems as if the issue has returned. Sometimes when I move the chord, the power supply cuts out. Also in the past month or so, my power adapter has been making this annoying beeping noise whenever I plugged it in. It would usually go away if I fiddled with it, but as of right now, I can't get it to stop, short of unplugging the thing. As it stands, the power adapter no longer seems to work, and since my battery is shot, my notebook has turned off. With no battery and no external power source, my laptop is unusable.
So... is the adapter fried? Is my power jack toast again? Seeing as my PC is no longer under warranty, what are my best options for replacement parts/fixes?

    Hello @pxj,
I understand that your notebook's keyboard is not working, and that your alternative keyboard does not function as well. I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
Since your system's available drivers do not contain any keyboard drivers for Windows 7, I recommend obtaining a recovery disc to re-install Windows Vista on your system. This can be done by following this document on Obtaining HP Recovery Discs or an HP USB Recovery Drive.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your reply!

  • Faulty Power Adapter

Due to what I would characterize as faulty design, the power adapter for my MacBook only works if the cord is in a very specific position after only a few months of very light use.
    My questions are:
    1. Can I get warranty service on this (i.e., a replacement, perhaps one that won't break so easily)?
    2. Where exactly do I go on this webpage for said warranty service?
I'm finding it very difficult to find a contact email address or phone number for warranty service. I find it hard to believe that Apple wants to me to send them a letter. Someone please help me out.

    http://www.apple.com/support/contact/
You will need to call Applecare and tell them about your problem. Alternatively, if you live near an Apple Store, you can take the power adapter in and have them take a look. You'll probably walk out with a new replacement adapter.

  • NAM 2304 expansion modules

    Hi Everybody,
Does NAM 2304 appliance has any expansion modules? I am out of interfaces and need new interfaces to be able to analyze different traffic.

    Hi,
did you check if the Expansion Module 7916 is defined in Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
Also check if the Expansion Module 7916 is configured as a 24-line module instead of a 12-line module.
Refer the below link for more detail.

  • Alum. 15" PB with Titaniumm PB power adapter....

    Greetings.
I am going on location with my 15" Alum. PB 1.67. I am also bringing along an older 15" Titanium PB 667 as a back-up.
My ? is can the power adapter from the Alum PB be used on the Titanium PB to charge and/or use as normal?
And the other way around: can the power adapter from the Titanium be used to power and/or charge the Aluminum PB.
The reason I ask, is that I have a power adapter thing that plugs into a car's cigarette lighter and the other end plugs into my older Titanium PB. I just want to see if I can use the same adapter thing to use with the Aluminum PB with out blowing something up.
    Thanks for your help.
    Jonathan

From your answer, I understand that the Alum PB uses the 65W and the T PB uses the 45w adapter
    Correct.
So, is what you are saying is that I could run the Alum. PB from the car adapter (I'm assuming that is about 45w since I bought it to be connected to the T book), without damaging my Aluminum PB?
To say to absolute certainty that a 45W adapter will not damage I cannot say although I've used a 45W adapter with my PowerBook Aluminium no no apparent ill effects. Your car adapter should work fine.
I will just be off loading photos to a folder from a card reader. I won't be doing any Photoshop or the likes. I just want to transfer images from compact flash cards to the AL. PB
If that's all you want to do then there should be no problem with your plan. There are other alternatives although they will cost money. Such as a media card adapter to go with a 60GB iPod. That would be a nice little solution.
I can also keep the lid closed if that would help.
Not really as that would put your PowerBook to sleep.
