7941 Phone Button template on CCM 4.2(3)

Hello,
Has anyone got an overflow error message when trying to ad the customized 7941 phone template on CCM 4.2(3) devpack 3.3?
By default, the standard 7941 phone button template come with 1 Lone and one speed dial, but our environment here need a two-lines phone. While ny other model can have several version customized button templates but no 7941. Please kindly sugest on what I should check in order to acheive adding the 7941 phone button template.

I have let the TAC engineer and Developers took care over the case and they solved this issue for me already. The problem is a missing of line 2 record in standard 7941 Phonebutton SQL table. If you already have your case opened please refer the case number 604361587 to your TAC engineer so he/she can contact the one that took care over my case for the solution.

I have a default device profile for 7941 that is currently using a phone button template that is one line. What is the impact of changing that to two-line phone button template? Can this be done live, on the fly?

so if i change the default device profile for my 7941's, nothing will happen to the phones until they are reset?

I'm not a Cisco employee, so I can't do anything with your backup.!
You need to take a backup as a precaution (You should have been doing this anyway) Then you need to call Cisco TAC to get the underlying problem fixed. CalManager is a locked-down environment, and only TAC can get the low-level access needed to fix database problems.

I was looking around the database of CUCM (v8.6), and i have found some gap between the 'phonetamplate' table and the "Phone Button Templates" page. Following items are not shown in the front-end:

CUCM 6.1 = Phone Button Template Dependencies

Does anyone have a CLI query string built for retrieving phone button template dependencies? I'd like to determine how many unused phone button templates there are, and how many phones use each template.

There's the query I used to identify templates with "Individual". These templates are created when you modifiy the line appearance on the device. I had 599 templates I needed to delete or change to device type templates.

Can someone point me in the correct direction on how to add additional phone button templates on Call Manager 4.1(3). It is not obvious to me on how to do this in looking over the AXL schema. Thanks

Issue defining DN 7965 because using 7965 SD Phone button template on Cisco 7965 VoIP phones

I am having issue with assigning DN7965 to a phone device. Error message indicates that 7965 is already associated and in use. We have associated phone template 7965SD because most our phones are CISCO 7965. Is there a way to overcome this issue ?

I have continued testing this in my lab and have come up with the following results.
When setting up a new device, TAPS will generate an error if the DN is already in existence across multiple devices.
If replacing a device, you must use the same model device or else TAPS will generate an error.
Unfortunately, based on the above rules, I was unable to utilize TAPS for bulk upgrade of user devices from 7960 model phones to 7965 model phones. However, I have come up with an alternate solution.
Note: This solution would only need to be used in a scenario where you do not want to assign a MAC address before physically deploying the equipment. The below solution provides the flexibility of creating the phone configurations prior to deploying the equipment without having to have all hardware specifically assigned to a user/DN.
Bulk Update Cisco Phones without MAC Addresses
Bulk Admin > Phone > Export Phones > Specific Details (Pull relevant information, DN(s), Description, Owner User ID, CSS, so on…)
Download the file, change to csv, open in Excel
Clear contents of “Device Name” field. Parse through and update other fields if needed.
Save a copy as CSV, upload to CUCM as Insert Phones > Specific Details
In CUCM, create a Phone Template for import
Bulk Admin > Phone > Insert Phones > Choose File > Choose Phone Template > **Important** Select Create Dummy MAC
Run Job
Once job is completed, all 7965 devices will be created with a BAT prefix and dummy MAC address, check Device > Phone to confirm
…When ready to activate
Device > Phone > Search by DN for BAT device
Open device, change MAC address to new 7965 hardware, check “Is Active”
Click Save.
Plug-in 7965 device to network. When the phone comes online and gets past firmware it will pull newly generated SEP config with user ext.

Button template's styleClass not working

We have created our own button template in UIX, which specifies a default style and JavaScript mouse events so that the button visually changes when the user hovers the mouse over it.
This works, except that on startup, the default class that we assign to the button isn't there in the generated HTML.
The onMouseOut/onMouseOver events do work however, so we get the weird situation that our buttons look all wrong, but they look correct once the user has moved the mouse over them at least once.
Does anyone have any idea? Here's our UIT file:

I just experienced the same issue of my down volume button not working but the up volume button does. I messed around with the phone for a bit. I just found out that if I hold the iPhone in my right hand with my thumb on the upper right corner of the phone and apply slight pressure on the upper right corner, the down volume button worked. After doing this a couple times it started working normally again. Must be a design issue. Hope this helps!

DX650 - 2 questions (Exp. modules?/Button Templates)

I have two questions that pertain to the DX650 model SIP phone. 1st) Does anyone know whether there are expansions modules that can be used for these devices? 2nd) Is it possible to create custom button templates for these adding additional line/feature ability? I already know you can of course alter the template. I guess I'm asking if there's a way to get more line/feature space with either adding an expansion module if they exist or a custom button template. Currently we have the default standard template w/ 2 line extensions, redial feature, and then space for 12 speed dials. Much like some 79xx/89xx/99xx models, we'd like the ability for an expansion module or ability for more functions. From what documents I've read, it doesn't appear to be possible for either. Regarding the expansion module support with DX650 i want to add that since there is no mention of expansion module support with DX650 in the datasheet and more importantly when we check the Phone configuration page of DX650 on callmanager administration webpage the 'Expansion Module Information' section is not there, which shows that there is no support for any KEM with DX650 at least for now. You can check with your Account team or open a case with PDI Helpdesk for any roadmap related queries for the same.

Button 'Reset' is accessible only then I start to search business partners.
I dont see button 'reset' after I finded or after I confirmed business partner.
I see these buttons (initial state):
Search account, Reset, Clear, New.
After confirmation or after then I find partner (before confirm) I see these button:
Confirm, Save (dark), Cancel (Dark), Related, Edit, Clear
I can not see button Reset!

I have been creating a photo book using a lots of photographs on iPhoto, and then I took another photos by using new iPAD which I want to integrate with the original album/book on iMac. I was able to import them from iPAD's iPhoto to iMac's iPhoto. However I cannot import or transfer or sync anything from iMac's iPhoto to that of my iPAD.
So my iPhoto page on iPAD contains only 3 or 4 newly created albums, and no other info. That means no syncing....
I am supposed to be able to work on this project on either of these iPAD and iMac, correct?

It doesn't appear under the iPad device on the left-hand sidebar of iTunes, you need to select the iPad device on the sidebar and then select the Photos tab on the right-hand side of iTunes e.g.

My iPhone 3G phone button no longer works. If I push it I get a black screen for a few seconds then back to the home screen. Everything else is ok. Any ideas how to fix this?

The phone button on my iPhone 3G no longer works. Everything else on the iPhone works fine. I can receive incoming calls. I can make calls directly from Contacts. But if I press the phone button I get a blank white screen for a few seconds then it goes back to the home screen. I've tried the hard reset and also restoring orignall settings via iTunes but keep getting the same problem. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks for the advice but I've tried resetting network settings and also the reset by pressing home and sleep buttons until getting the Apple logo. Still have the same problem. To be clear (because I mistakenly typed black instead of blank in the title to this thread): If I press the phone button I get a BLANK WHITE screen for a few seconds then it goes back to the home screen. I doubt it's the SIM card as I can receive calls and make them directly from contacts. What I can't do is view my favourite numbers or missed calls or access my voicemail, i.e. all the things you get to via pressing the phone button.

Phone buttons not work when charging

I have Nokia Lumia 900..   When I hook the phone to the charger, the phone is disabled... you can't push up the wallpaper to use the phone buttons on the start screen. If you disconnect it from the charger, it works fine. I have done a hard phone reset and it has been updated to the lastest update available for the phone. The hard reset did not help... . Some one here said that it should not be doing that... it should be working on or off the charger. I talked to AT&T who is my phone provider and they say that this is normal... that while it is on the charger, it is disabled.
   So, Nokia, is this normal or is this a defect??? If I need to use the phone, I have to disconnect from the charger, use the phone and then plug back in. I don't like phone being disabled...  Nokia, if this is not supposed to happen, I will need something to show AT&T in order to get phone replaced ... or is there a place I can take phone to in order to get replaced or fixed where I do not have to leave the phone.. I need my phone..
   ALSO, something I do NOT like about the phone and am more convinced that I need to change to a different phone when my year with this phone is up... I do NOT like that you can't save info from your phone onto the Sim Card.. this is crazy... Why would you make a phone you can't back up your info onto a Sim card... I may not always be at a computer... This should be fixed... You should be able to move information from the phone to the sim card and move the sim card to the phone... I know you can move stuff to the phone from the sim card, but I want the function of moving to the sim card also.
      But right now.. I need to know if this phone being disabled when on the charger is a defect or is it supposed to do that...

I haven't tried different locations.. I will try that next time I need to charge the phone. I usually plug into electricity because it charges faster than connecting to pc. I bought a second data cable for charging the phone and most of the time, I use it when charging. If I charge at night, I use the one that came with the phone and hook to electricity... I keep one cable in bedroom and one in living room near computer ... and most of the time, am charging in living room... The only time I hook to computer is when I need to do phone update or if I want to transfer a pic to the phone for wallpaper or to attach to person's number ... Or I have added ringtone.    I will try the other cable and will try when connected to pc.   I do know that the cable I use to charge it in living room doesnt work to do update on phone.. I had to use the original cable to do the update the other day.   If this orginal cable goes bad (which we all know happens) how do I get another original cable that will do my updates with? the second cable I bought was supposed to be for Nokia lumia 900...

Phone Button Shot

My Droid Incredible 2 started having problems yesterday. Fist I noticed that in my text messages, instead of contact names, it only shows numbers. Now I've noticed that when I hot the "phone" button to get the numpad, istead just a little gray "phone" message pops up. Please help, have tried rebooting, removing battery, etc.
