7d Mark II with a 1.4x teleconverter -- WOO HOO!!!!

So, just a couple of weeks ago, I found myself in an interesting position -- let me explain.
I had a 60D that I had loved for the past 3 years. But......I have a 100-400 f4-5.6L that I also love. BUT, I also have a 1.4x teleconverter that I occassionally like to add to the 100-400, for extra reach. BUT, when I bolt it on, I loose autofocus -- **bleep**! I do mostly wildlife photography, especially birds, and autofocus makes my life much easier. I've done my homework, and I understand (as a physicist) what the limitations are, but it is a HUGE thorn in my side.
So, back to my "interesting position" -- my best friend/cousin had a Rebel that he had been doing great work with, since he discovered photography about two years ago. He was ready to upgreade, and I was in a position to upgrade, even thought I didn't need to (at least, I didn't THINK I needed to). So, as a (self-serving) action, I decided I would upgrade, and sell my cousin my 60D for a bargain. I did my research, and decided that my next camera would be a 7d Mark II. So, we moved on it -- he ended up with a MUCH better camera for a bargain, and I got back onto the "learning curve" that I love so much.
So, to shorten this (already too long) story a bit, I JUST discovered that the 7D Mark II actually permits the 1.4X teleconvertor to actually AUTOFOCUS with the 100-400!!!! Okay, so you have to be in the "center-point" or "center-point + 4 surrounding points" modes, I don't care. This allows me to do what I need to do, WITH autofocus.

The 5D Mark II was first supported by Camera Raw 5.2 which is compatible with CS4+.
The 5D Mark III was first supported by Camera Raw 6.7 and 7.1 which is only compatible with CS5 and CS6.
So the CS4 will never be able to open Raw 5D Mark III files.

In the iPhoto preferences you can set Apple Mail as your e-mail client and then it will work exactly as before

ITunes cannot find find on NAS and marks them with "!" - Only double-click helps

I have placed my iTunes library on my Synology NAS. After I (hopefully) got rif of my connection problems by switcvhing from afp to a nfs connection there is still another probem: iTunes does not "find" the songs on the NAS after have started it and marks them with the "!" sign on the left side of the name. If I double click on the song, that one is now properly found and play... This is somewhat "not useable", but it works when I am sitting in front of my Mac....
BUT:
When I connect to my iTunes library from my AppleTv or my iPad when I want to stream some music to the AppleTV, only those songs are available that I doubleclick some time before - when they are marked with that "!". This behavior of course is not "usable" at all.
MY QUESTION:
Is there some way to force iTunes to scan the libray and find those songe marked with "!". I know that sometimes iTunes asks for finding some of the not located songs but even then not all of the "!" are gone. That only happens when I double click it manually or show iTunes the song in the "find" dialog that pops up if it really cannot find the songs.

Extension Manager is only responsible for the installation and management of extensions. Your question is about how to implement the functionalities of your extension. I am not clear about it. I am afraid you should post the question to the forum of corresponding product.

I'm using a 5D with a G5 and having nothing but problems. I have aperture installed on my Powerbook and don't have any problems. Upload fine and everything. But as soon as i try and upload photos on my G5 it's terrible. They preview fine before import.
but afterwards they're corrupt.

Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Low CPU mark score with a64 3000+

I get around 650 to 680 cpu mark score with my system:
MSI Neo Plat
1Gig of PC3200 KINGSTON Ram
A64 3000+ @ 2ghz
Leadtek 6800
I've updated the latest nforce drivers from MSI and the bios is 1.2
I think it's way to low since I had 300 cpu mark score with my lousy Athlon 1.4Ghz thunderbird.
I see that other a64 3000+ users get around 800 to 950 cpu mark score. Why is mine too low? Bios settings? What should I check?
I see even a MSI Kt800 user with 840 cpu score!

Could you please post a link for the software benchmark that you are referring to? I can't seem to find the right one. I got something called CPUMark but it is scoring mine at like 3400 which isn't in the correct range based on what you've said so it's probably a different software. Thanks for your help. I just want to see where mine falls out.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II with Adobe Bridge (CS4) and Camera Raw 5.4

I use a Canon EOS 5D Mark II and store in RAW-format.
The camera is updated with latest software etc.
I have the Adobe Design CS4 package on my computer and updated to the camera raw 5.4 version (bridge/photoshop/etc).
All this is updated to last versions / updates etc.
I upload my pictures from the camera to my computer.
When I inspect the files with the Canon software such as "Digital Photo Professional 3.6.1.0" or "Canon Utilities ZoomBrowser EX 6.3.1" (this are the latest versions and updates) the files are copied correct to my computer.
The files can be opened with the canon software without any problem and can be modified and converted and all normal operations can be performed.
The files can also be converted to ".jpg" and no problem occurs.
The problem starts after the folder with the pictures (in RAW-format) has been opened / viewed in Adobe Bridge or after Adobe bridge is started.
After starting and viewing with bridge the folder only some of the file become corrupted and cannot be used anymore.So the majority of the files remain OK but some files become corrupt.
A part of the picture is visible partly, the remaining part are lines, dots, squares etc and the divisions of correct picture and corrupted seems to be at random. There is no structure in the way the corrupted file are shown in bridge. Please look at the enclosed picture in this message.
The files can be opened in Camera Raw and Photoshop but they show the corrupted file and can be stored etc.
But the picture is destroyed.
Does anybody have a sollution or similar problems?

Cannon Eos 5D Mark ii with Photoshop CS3

Greetings Everyone and Thanks in advance for your help,
Unable to open the images with CS3 with 5D Mark II camera, I installed Camera Raw 5.3, 5.2. 4.6 in an effort to get to read the 5D Mark II format, but CS3 doesn't seem to support, I ran across somewhere about converting to DNG and something of that sort, Has anybody done anything like this before.
We would like to stay with CS3, and still be able to use our new camera. Again thanks a lot for your help.

You "bought" CS3 18 months ago...so just how long should Adobe support your product considering they no longer sell it?

But when you find out that software that hasn't even been sold for almost 8 months is no longer supported, they get bent out of shape that they may have to actually "buy" an upgrade to get complete compatibility.
Don't you see the utter irony here? People are perfect happy spending money on physical, tangible property but Pi$$&Moan™ at the prospect of having to pay for an upgrade of intellectual property...
Personally as a current customer using Photoshop CS4, I'm perfectly happy that Adobe has the policy of only supporting the current shipping software. That means that new versions of Camera Raw will be updated and in the case of 5.0>5.2 have substantial improvements included...the thought of engineers wasting time having to update old code for compatibility of old products for new cameras does not interest me in the least. I would much rather that the engineers spend time and resources doing new updates and upgrades and future versions.
I would have to say that somebody using Camera Raw 4.6 is leaving image quality on the table compared to Camera raw 5.3. If you choose _NOT_ to upgrade for any reason, that's your choice. Just understand you are cutting yourself short, professionally.
The other thing I would point out is that if you've bought plug-ins that worked in CS3 that aren't supported yet in CS4, I would suggest you go jump down the plug-in developers' throats...and if you have to pay for the CS3 to CS4 update, I would question your judgement on the plug-ins you've bought.

With the new Firmware 1.0.7 sRAW1 files and sRAW2 files will apparently show a magenta shift in darker areas.

I have bought a new Canoscan 9000f Mark II, I have installede all software that came with the scanner. But my Photoshop CS6 can't see the scanner.

You downloaded the twain plugin referenced here and put it in the 32 bit version photoshop cs6?
(twain from photoshop doesn't work on the 64 bit version of photoshop cs6)
