7th generation iPod apple accounts

I bought a 7th generation iPod nano from a friend. Is the iPod tied to any specific apple accounts? If so, how can I switch it to my account?

Hello Conner,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Congratulations on the iPod nano. It sounds like you’re concerned about potential Apple ID issues with your new device. For this type of iPod, the only thing I would suggest is removing content synced by the previous owner and restoring it to factory settings as shown in the article below.

  • 7th generation iPod nano flashes apple logo with a white screen and won't play.  What is wrong with it?

I have a 7th Generation iPod Nano that started flashing the Apple logo with a white background.  I have tried Diagnostics, restoring the iPod and even resetting it.  At one point it was in a Restore Loop.  I'm thinking maybe it has a virus but reading further says that I may be missing one of the drivers.  Is there any way to fix it without taking into a tech?? Please help...miss my music!!

Does anyone know why my music wont play on my 7th generation iPod nano? I've tried resetting it already but that didnt work. Can someone please help.

I would to a Restore.  Select the iPod in iTunes.  Go to the Summary tab for the iPod.  There is a button there to do a Restore.  This will erase the iPod, re-install its software, and set it to default settings.  After Restore complete, try playing songs on the iPod again.
If THAT does not fix the problem, and it's not bad headphones (since you also tried the "speaker"), there is probably a hardware problem on the iPod.  All 7th gen nanos are still under warranty.  If you have an Apple Store nearby, you should take it to the store's Genius Bar.  To minimize waiting, you can make a reservation on store's web page.

  • Why does the 7th generation ipod nano not have games

I want to know why the 7th generation ipod nano does not come with:
    1- games
    2- voice memo

    1. The iPod Nano runs the Pixi operating system, not iOS and has too small a screen for displaying the game and controlling it.
    2. Plug in a headset with a microphone: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/ipod_nano_user_guide.pdf page 46.

  • HT4059 I have a 7th Generation iPod Nano and cannot get audiobooks to sync with it. The manual says this is a valid feature but I can't get it to work. Any suggestions?

I am trying to sync an audiobook from iTunes to a 7th Generation iPod Nano. The manual says audiobooks can be synced to this device by going to iTunes, selecting the Book button and selecting sync audiobooks but when I select the Book button I do not see any syncing options to select.  What am I doing wrong?

Error 1611: This error may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow the steps in this article. Alsoattempt to restore while connected with a known-good 30-pin Dock Connector cable, computer, and network to isolate this issue to the device. My 16 gig, 7th generation ipod nano just died yesterday.
I assumed it just needed recharging.
It is not responding. I have complete black screen even when its hooked up to charge....and it wont turn on.
    Help!!!!
I got it as a birthday gift around the end of May, its brand new.

Clean out the Lighting connector on the bottom of the nano, clean Lightning connector cable, make sure your computer is not set to go to sleep and connect it to the computer and let it charge for 30 minutes. After this time, while it is still connected, hold down the home and sleep buttons, wait for the Apple logo, let go of the buttons.

My 7th generation iPod keeps turning off by itself. I've checked on the internet that i have to make sure the headphone is plugged perfectly and it's totally plugged but my iPod keeps turning off every second. I also have restored it, when it was restoring it didnt turn off, but when it finished, it started to keep turning off again. May anyone help me to resolve my problem?

If you still not reached 1 year, run to apple store and change it. I have same problem, but during running and stop not often like yours but only one time.

I have a 7th generation IPOD, I have downloaded APPLE ISTORE software and have downloaded 23 of my CD's. All of this is being done thru a Windows desk top. I can not get it to download automatically the CD's to my IPOD. Please advise

Connect your iPod and in iTunes click on the name of your device which should appear in a tab towards the top right of the screen. In the tabs that appear click on music, pick what you want to sync, then click apply.

I have a 7th generation ipod, i have a problem with the pause/play button, it no longer works.
What does it take to make sure it works ????

If you successfullt restore to factory defaults/new iPod and still have the problem then it is likely a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
