.7z file to install CS Design Standard

Hi,
I downloaded a .7z file from the adobe site to try and install a copy of CS Design Standard 5.5 after having issues using my CD verison. However, even with 7-zip installed on my computer, I cannot seem to open the .7z file to extract all of the CS Design Standard 5.5 programs?

Hi
I having problem when installing CS6 design standard on Mac OS 10.8.2
i was using the online .dmg to install everytime when the installation seem like almost done (the progress bar shown 99%). suddenly it just fail.
I was using admin id and tried adobe clean tools to reinstall.

Exit Code 6 is a generic error that indicates that the installation was not successful.

A quick look at the error log, indicates a permission issues. Are you logged in with an Administrator account and have sufficient privileges to install software?

Unable to silently install CS3 Design Standard in windows 7

I have a problem with silently installing CS3 Design Standard in Windows 7.
I have done a silent install packages using the instructions in the deployment guide.
It works just fine on Windows Vista to deploy using SCCM 2007.
But when deploying the same package on Windows 7 i fails with exit code 7.
Studying the log files tells me the following

Well i have tried installing the CS3 Design Standard on Windows 7 the normal way, logged in and executing the installer. This works fine,
nothing says that the system requirements are not fulfilled. Everything works fine.
It just dont work silently....
Does anyone know whats wrong?

Hi, this might be a little late, but who knows, for the future reference, this is what solved the problem for me:
Each major application has a file called appname.proxy.xml in their payload folder. At the bottom of the file, simply remove the OS check:

Installing CS5 Design Standard on my powerbook

i would like to install CS5 Design Standard on my new Powerbook without a DVD reader and can't find the place where i can download the two files (design standard and acrobat professional)? I have the two serial numbers.

I still have a problem by entering my serial numbers. When I check the mail with the the serial numbers that I’ve received in 2011 from Adobe (for CS5 Design Standard en Adobe Professional) it is mentioned that the language is DUTCH.
Could that be the problem why I get a message “serial number incorrect” ? I think the software I downloaded is an English version.

File archive of adobe design standard CS6 missing

During install ... an error message is posted: "File Archive of Adobe Design Standard CS6 is Missing". All available files have been downloaded and placed in the same folders. Suggestions? Help?

I am using an iMac OS 10.5.8, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1 GB, 800 MHz. AllI know is that you can't upgrade from CS1.

You can upgrade from CS1 to CS4. CS1 will be out of the upgrade path when CS5 is released.
You don't need to remove CS1 it does not conflict with CS4. I have CS1 through CS4 installed and playing nicely together.
CS4 is compatible but I would stay with 10.5.8 until Apple gets most of the bugs worked out of Snow Leopard. that is usually about the 4th update.

Installed CS3 Design Standard.. Acrobat 8 is just not there...

Before installation I knew that there were some caomaptability problems with Acrobat 8 and Leopard but I installed CS3 Design Standard last night and during the installation I something telling me that Acrobat was already installed and after the installation Acrobat 8 was nowhere to be found in Applications! Everything else was there... just no Acrobat 8.. I had thought it would install and just not work... This was a suroise. Anyone else had this experience?

I didn't know about the compatibility problem, but in my applications folder is the acrobat pro folder. not sure what you did. I did a clean install, and then reloaded Cs3.

Installing CS4 Design Standard as an upgrade from InDesign CS on Mavericks OS but serial numbers not valid. Is there a keystroke to override this hangup?

Thanks kglad, I have attempted all of your suggestions with no success. This is a specific unique issue requiring a special set of keyboard commands to unlock or override my s/n. The product is an upgrade from an old InDesign CS. The InDesign CS is not on the harddrive, I cannot install the InDesign CS again after Mavericks upgrade. The CS4 install routine does not present an opportunity to enter the InDesign CS s/n when I attempt a trial install and launch. The initial install required a call to Adobe support and special keystrokes were provided from support to "open" the software. Please help. Adobe support via CHAT are not able to access this information.

and activate with your serial number.
if you have a download problem (eg, you see an error page or you are offered an incorrect version), you probably didn't follow all 7 steps. typically, failure to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 is the problem, but your browser must also allow cookies so that (a restrictive browser setting) is another potential source of problems.

I am trying to install CS4 Design Standard and it will not allow me to check the box to install Illustrator. I have had Illustrator CS4 on my machine in the past but have deleted it. You don't delete Adobe apps anymore you use the uninstaller. So download the CS4 cleanscript to remove all traces of CS4 and reinstall everything.

No, I am saying the three programs that you want to use in the suite, if you are planning on using all three programs (at the same time) then it is possible your system could slow down, then a RAM upgrade will help. Give it a try it may work out okay.
Yes, I know how to backup separate things on to another external hard drive. Just connect the hard drive make sure it is formatted for use as a Mac hard drive. Open disk utility and click on the hard drive at the bottom of the window it will show you the partition map scheme, it should be GUID Partition Table.
