8.0.2 is poo

I've been using iTunes since version 2 (on OS 9) and I've never had the problems I do with 8.0.2 on Vista.
I cannot do anything else _AT ALL_ now when burning or importing to or from a CD.
If I so much as _move my mouse_ the operation stops and either I have to reimport everything again from the beginning, or I have to throw away another CD.
I can burn discs perfectly from Roxio EMC 10, and I have no problems ripping CD's or DVD's. This system is a fifteen-month-old laptop with 2 gigs of RAM, Vista Home Basic, a 160 gig HD, dual core 1.9 gHz processors, and iTunes worked seamlessly and flawlessly on it until I updated it to 8.0.2.
There are too many darn bells and whistles in iTunes anymore, and it's just more stuff to go wrong. My old G3 iMac (with iTunes 4.0 on it) works just great, but it doesn't have internet so I use the laptop for CDDB info to save time (or at least I did till this started), but it's useless now because I have to stop everything while I import a CD, or do it on the iMac and enter the info by hand.
Has anyone else had this happen since 8.0.2 came out?
I seriously doubt it's the system, since everything was OK right up to 8.0.1.

Thanks for your help, but I went back to my iLife 09 disk and reinstalled it. I had reverted back to iPhoto 08 and iMovie 08 to do some instruction and that meant removing some receipts. When I then went back to iPhoto 09 and iMovie 09 I didn't reload the entire iLife 09 disk and so I guess there were some missing parts as far as Software Updates was concerned. Anyway, now when I accessed Software Updates it did indicate that GarageBand, iPhoto and iMovie were updatable (the latter 2 to version 8.0.2) so now the update is done successfully.
Thanks again.

  • Compiling problem or xp being poo

    i recently reinstalled xp due to my primary hd dying and then the sdk, since the reinstallation i keep getting the cannot resolve symbol error as if the other classes arent found, is it the luvable compiler or xp being poo?

    C:\j2sdk1.4.2_03\bin>
    can you think of any reason I am getting this error I
    am running Windows XP. Is there some other way I
    should be setting my classpath?
    The import statement syntax is "import fully_qualified_class_name;" or "import package_name.*;" (Fully qualified class name means the package name plus the class name such as "java.awt.Frame") In either case, there is at least one '.' in the import statement. You do not have a '.' in the import statement, so the compiler is telling you that you need one.
    If ProcessData is in the same package as the CPUScheduler, then you do not need the import statement. If it is in a different package, then you must import it. Classes that are in the default or unnamed package can not be imported.

  • R12 E-Commerce Gateway. POO and POI sample files?

    Hello!
    Can anybody put here sample files for POO (ORDERS 850) and POI (ORDERS 850)? Just wanna see them. I exported POO file according to the standard settings for file, but I can't to import it (according to the standard settings for file). And this is a little bit strange for me. May be I didn't understand something.

    You can use apps.ece_utilities.verify_flatfile to check on how the application reads the file according to the defined layout and see whan might not be falling on the expected positions.

  • HDV - H.264 looks like poo.  Help!

    I've been fighting with this for days now.
    I have 1080i HDV (1440x1080i30) and have an excellent finished demo which I layed back to tape and played out to a big LCD. Looks awesomme. Now I want it on my web site.
    So I took the finished file and tried exporting H.264 with QuickTime player at 720x480 16:9. The motion clearly has ragged edges from the interlacing that I want to get rid of. So I go in and make a few manual tweaks, including clicking the obvious "deinterlace" button. But now, the image has a "ghost" on all motion. It didn't get rid of one of the fields, it averaged both fields so now the entire video looks blurry when there's motion. Ugh.
    So I went into Compressor and fought with that for a couple days. The deinterlace in compressor is perfect. Absolutely beautiful. But the overall video quality is poo. Absolutely dreadful. I get a sparkly, edge around, well, anything, that has lots of random noise- as if I used some sort of special Photoshop filter to achieve this, but, no matter what I change, interlace, frame size, data rate... it's always there to some extent. So Compressor is useless.
    Today, I'm back working with QuickTime player and again achieve the same exact results. the De-interlace button does do something, but it doesn't de-interlace. I get okay results at around 2000 kbps. They all get a bit blurry at 1200. 800 is unusable. 3000 is real nice, but I think may be too much for some viewers of my site.
    Can anyone explain how to get QT Player to do de-interlacing correctly... or how to get Compressor to not look like poo at the same data rates that QT Player looks fine.

    HI IEBA1, Try this.. it worked for me when I had my HVR-Z1P.
    1) INGEST the clips into FCP as APPLE PRORES 422 else take the clips from your imported bin and batch convert them to APPLE PRORES 422.
    2) work your sequences in APR422.
    3) in FCP export as a quicktime reference movie
    4) COMPRESSOR:
    • add a batch +n
    • add your reference movie (in APR422)
    • add a custom setting .. call it H264720x48029fps or something you like
    5) in the compressor/ inspector, do the following:
    • ENCODER: select FORMAT = QUICKTIME
    • VIDEO settings select h.264 as the codec, a retsurcted bit rate.. suggest 500-800Kbs (+vary to taste+) and MULTIPASS
    • GEOMETRY: select FRAME SIZE 720x480 or what ever you need.
    • optionally FRAME CONTROLS - click ON in little wheel gear and select *OUTPUT FIELD* as PROGRESSIVE
    Save this custom template.
    Apply this to you new batch
    USe PREVIEW (+2) and scrib through the PREVIEW using the ORGINAL vs the ENCODE quality divider to examine your encode BEFORE you submit it.
    TWeak the above to visual taste including the DATA RATE (bit rate)
    when OK submit to COMPRESSOR.
    REpeat until you like what you see.

  • My ipod is poo

    ok so i plugged 40gb ipod into my mac OSX using the docking station like normal. I had virtually no battery but itunes recognised it immediatly and started updating my ipod. All is fine then i hear a beeping sound, itunes froze, then a message came onto the screen saying that an error had occured and i had removed a device without ejecting it safely.....i had to force itunes to close as it was completly frozen. Now when i press the select button on my ipod it just shows a battery with the charging sign and only one notch of the battery filled up. when i plug it into my mac this sign comes up again then goes off but no recharing occurs. I don't have a charger any more as that stopped working long ago....i bought the ipod in 2004, it has broken twice since and been replaced but now my warranty has run out and i really don't want to buy a new one. I have tried reseting the ipod but nothing happens at all, obviously i cant restore it, tried pressing select and menu but nothing appears on screen. argh! why are ipods such a pain in the bum!!!

    Click here and follow the instructions.

  • Help:  adobe photoshop elements 9 has stopped working  (piece of poo)

    This was installed at Christmas for my daughter's use.  I just tried to run it as I now have a camera that will shoot in RAW format.
    Now it just crashes when starting the editor.  I can see the editor start, see the brush/effects pallete on the top right (with the green ?apples?), but then windows throws the above error.
    The Organizer will run however.
    Environment:
    Windows Vista 32 bit
    C:\Programs Files   (on SSD)
    D:\Users  (SATA)
    PSE 9.0.3 (20110328.m.11320)
    I have tried to run the ctrl-alt-shift and when the editor starts, and delete the preferences file.  This hasn't solved the problem.
    I have tried to launch the editor directly from the run command:  photoshopelementseditor
    What else is left?  Standard operating proceedure for  every other Windows Application:  reinstall?
    Thanks for any advise or direction!

    Tried to reinstall.  Turns out the folder C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\9.0\Photo Creations\adjustment layers was set via VISTA to be owned by SYSTEM and couldn't be change ownered or permissions set to be able to write.    Had to boot in Safe Mode with the Vista security controls disabled, delete the entire Photoshop Elements folder, and it would install after that.
    D@#$ Windows.

  • New on POO : get items from purchase order

    Hi,
    i'm new in OO, i must implement the BADI IF_EX_ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST~CHECK. In this method i would like to get items of my current purchase order, how can i do that ?
    Thanks a lot.
    Cheers

    Hello
    Please note that if you have understood this BAdI then you have understood the basics of ALL BAdIs dealing with business objects that have a header and one or more items.
    Example: BAdI ME_PROCESS_REQ_CUST (purchase requisition)
    METHOD if_ex_me_process_REQ_cust~check.
    * define local data
      DATA:
        lt_items      TYPE mmpur_requisition_items,
    *    ls_item       LIKE LINE OF lt_items,  " alternatively
        ls_item       TYPE mmpur_requisition_item,
        ls_header     TYPE mereq_header.
    " Change data types of local variables (compared to if_ex_me_process_PO_cust~check)
    " but use the very same coding to retrieve the items.
    * (1) Get the order items
    *  CALL METHOD im_header->get_items
    *    receiving
    *      re_items = lt_items.
    * Short version:
      lt_items = im_header->get_items( ).
      LOOP AT lt_items INTO ls_item.
        ls_detail = ls_item-item->get_data( ).
    *   do something ...
      ENDLOOP.
    * (2) Get header data
    *  CALL METHOD im_header->get_data
    *    receiving
    *      re_data = ls_header.
    * Short version:
      ls_header = im_header->get_data( ).
    ENDMETHOD.

    Remove the ';server=mydb' from the props.
    It would help if you included the error message from the weblogic log file.

  • After updated firmware of E71 /Battery life is poo...

    After I updated the firmware of my E71 to 200.21.118 version, my phone lack of battery life, I think the problem is mail for exchange version 2.09.158 that have conflicts with the new firmware. After the updated, my phone is always hot and my battery is no longer than 12 hours of use (before at my use 36 hours), I turn the mfe to manual and fix the problem.
    Can any body helpme with my problem?.
    Regards,

    have you performed the three-finger hard reset after upgrading to the latest firmware version? this is often the source of problms, as giving the phone a clean slate to work with will most likely solve these battery issues. remember to backup all your data first to memory card and to computer using Nokia PC Suite as a .nbu file. after hard reset, restore everything back to your phone using the .nbu file. to perform a hard reset, turn the phone off then press the green call key, the 3 key and the * key all at the same time, then press and hold the power button.
    If you found this or someone's comments helpful or like what that person has to say, please give some Kudos to their post!

    Well, hard to tell with the little information you gave.
    Which jdev version?
    Do you use groovy expressions?
    Have you checked the EO model.EOIpmDistribucionManualImpl.getValorSum(EOIpmDistribucionManualImpl.java:622)?

  • Wrt54GS ver.6 took a big poo... DSL...cant get anything, firmware link is bunk? HELP

    Hey there, having real trouble with my router, Im sure this thread is out there somwhere but I cant find it... so heres the deal, I had my router up and running fine, then out of nowhere puter crashed and with it my router.  Now I cant get the Customer service guys on the line and I cant even get the web-based setup to run.  Easy link dosent work, and I tried to update the firmware, but for some reason the link is either bunk or being rejected by my browser (even after I turned pop-ups on etc.)  I have been trying everything but Im at a loss I would really like to get this fixed before I blow a seal in my brain over this stinker.  Running XP SP2 with Quest DSL, dont know if it needs PoPP or what, but I cant get that far anyway... HELP

    well.....try a few of steps and let me know if this works for you
    1)connect the computer to the router's port#1
    2)reset the router for 30 seconds and do a power cycle
    3)check whether you get a valid ip add on the computer (192.168.1.x) and whether you can ping the router
    4)try accessing the web interface of the router
    5)if successful , change the lan ip add of the router to 192.168.2.1
    6)connect the modem to the router's internet port
    7)go to the router's web ui using http://192.168.2.1 . click on the "status" tab and check whether it has an internet ip add
    8)if there is one , try going online
    9)if it is 0.0.0.0 , try setting up a PPPoE configuration . enter the username and password as provided by the ISP

  • Did Apple just say poo to me with the 4G Nano?

    So here is the scoup, I bought a Sony car stereo with an iPod connecter built directly into it. My intent, buy an iPod soon and utalize this feature. I tried a friend's iPod Nano 2G and it worked just fine, charged and everything. Tried the Nano 3G, worked just fine, charged and everything. Tried a friend's new iPhone 16GB, did not say it would charge, but I could still play all the songs just fine and control song playback just fine. Doing all this builds my faith that everything will be just fine and I have no reason to return the stereo. Two months go by and I can afford to buy the iPod, I plug it in, and it refuses to recognize it. No playback of music, no charging. Is Apple saying tough luck to this or are they going to address it? If this is how Apple is going to opperate only allowing propietary support, then they are deffinately going to lose me as a future customer and most people I know that would be swayed by going through something similar to this.
    Anyone have any suggestions to remedy this? It would be greatly appreciated.
    Stereo: Sony CDX-GT820IP : http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=300&i=158GT820IP&tp=5684

    I can understand how you feel but I have to disagree. Why should Apple care about 3rd party hardware? Is it Apple's job to make sure that every company who wants a piece of the iPod pie are in compliance? Should Apple have to thumb down their XML code and take away certain functionalities of the iPod so that 3rd party hardware (which Apple makes zero revenue from) can be compatible? Do you actually think that Ford will redesign their NEW, State of the art, Mustang so that the Goodyear tires from an older Mercury Sable will fit correctly? Do you even understand the concept of 3rd party? Last time I checked not only was the 3rd generation iPod nano still for sale but Sony's Mp3 players were too. I have a lot of complaints about Apple myself but I got to take their side on this one.
