8.0 "Previous Document" BOOKMARK Action

The "Previous Document" Command from the (Execute a menu item) BOOKMARK ACTIONS does not seem to work in either Adobe 8.0 (professional or reader). Can anybody think of a solution to this problem or lead me down the right path? The feature works fine from the Dropdown menu & with the Key Stroke Alt>Shift>Left Arrow. Thanks

I have experienced the same problem, except that it only occurs if I move to a different page in the target document before selecting the bookmark to return to the prior document. The only solution I have found so far is to use Acrobat 7.0 or Acrobat Reader 7.0.9, in which the bookmark will work.
I called Adobe Product Support today to ask about the problem, but they could not help me because I was using the trial version of 8.0 (I already own 7.0, and will only update if this problem is fixed, so it is a Catch-22 situation.

Acrobat Go to Previous Document bookmark

I use Acrobat 8.0 to hyperlink source to target documents. In the target document, I create a bookmark with the action View>Go To> Previous Document. If I click on the hyperlink in the source document, and then click on this bookmark in the target document without navigating to a different page in the target document, the bookmark works to return me to the Previous Document. However, if I navigate in the target document before clicking on the bookmark, the bookmark does not work and it does not return me to the previous document.
I also own Acrobat 7.0, and this feature works fine. It also works in fine in Reader version 7.09, but not in version 8.0 of the Reader.
I have put off purchasing Acrobat 8.0 because of this problem.
Any ideas on possible solutions?

Seriously...I will have to scrap hundreds of hours (and thousands of dollars) worth of work if there is no workaround for this. Worse still...I have no solution to duplicate the functionality of "Go to previous document" "Go to previous view won't work because if a viewer scrolls through fifty pages in a document, he would have to click "Previous view" fifty time to get back.
I don't understand how Adobe could go to all the trouble to come out with an "upgrade" that lacks the functionality of the previous five versions. What's going on over there?

Bookmark action goto page document

Acrobat Pro XI.
I try to create a bookmark action by right-clicking and selecting pro. When perusing the Actions-panel of the Bookmark Properties I cannot find a way to replace the default Action "Go to a page in this document" by an action "Go to page in another document".
According to the documentation you should have this option

It's the same action. When you add it and the floating window with the "Set
Link" button appears open the other file, scroll to the location you want
to link to and then click the "Set Link" button. The link will
automatically point to the other file, using relative file paths, so if you
move the first file you have to move the other one with it.

Creating follow-up document in actions

Hello all,
 I need to create a followup document in actions with specific process_type (transaction type) and channel type (category example: in-call , email..)
 Now, I am able to pass my transaction type as an import parameter but not the channel type. Does anyone know how to create followup document with specific transaction type and channel type.

Hi Ark,
you can copy the BAdI implementation COPY_DOCUMENT. In action customizing assign your copied implementation (don't forget to activate it) in the processing details of you action. There you will also find a button for maintaining processing parameters. Add one parameter for the transaction type and one for your channel type and set the values for them.
In the BAdI implementation add the following parameter:
data: lv_new_header type crmt_object_guid.
copy document
CALL METHOD lc_action_execute->copy_document
 EXPORTING
 io_appl_object = io_appl_object
 ip_application_log = ip_application_log
 ip_action = ip_action
 ip_preview = ip_preview
 ii_container = ii_container
 iv_actiontext = lv_actiontext
 IMPORTING
 EV_NEW_HEADER_GUID = lv_new_header <==========
 rp_status = rp_status.
Now you have the GUID of the copied document. The table lt_container contains your channel type. Read it out of the internal table and then call the function module crm_order_maintain in order to set the channel type.
Hope you are a bit familiar with crm programming, otherwise this might become sligthly complicated.

HT2506 When I open the application preview why do all my previous documents pop up?

Hi I have a macbook air mountain lion computer and whenever I double click a picture it opens preview, however all the previous documents I've loaded before pop up too. Why is this happening? I only want that one picture to pop up on my screen. Is there a setting I can change?

Nope - restarting didn't help either!
well it seems inconsistent.
Starting word did get me just a blank document.
but starting excel (from the dock) got me 3 recent spreadsheets.
I find this very annoying.

Why can I not open some previous documents in Pages?

Help! I can not open previous documents in pages. It is instructing me to download the latest, when I do try, it tells me the most current has been installed? I still can not open the documents?

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Older versions of Pages 5 can not open files from later versions of Pages 5.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud and opened in a newer version of Pages is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed almost 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

Inclusion of line items before previous document due date passed

Hi All,
I am having below mentioned scenario:
1. I am invoicing a consumer in Aug-14 with periodic billing order. Document is having due date of 10-Sep.
2. Further I am doing interim billing and invoicing (before previous document due date expired) with posting date say 05-Sep.
The recent document of 05-Sep is not including all line items of document invoiced in Aug-14.
How do we include Aug-14 bill line items in next invoicing.

If you are not using Integrated Account Maintenance, under "Item Selection for Bill printout (Subitems)" it should be as easy as leaving Open Items Selection restriction blank - meaning "All open items for contract acct (w. and w/o ref. to cntrct)", setting the "Interval days for the due date of items to be printed" to 999, and choosing the "Consider Items in Bill Sum Total" setting - once or always, I believe. If it doesn't work, I'd be looking at FQEVENT R410 FMs to see if the Items are passed that far.
<rant on>I can't to this day get how come so many Utilities (in my experience - all I've worked with) practice this "double" or even multiple billing of the same amounts (even if the amounts do not multiply in FI-CA postings, you have invoiced the amounts to customer multiple times). Or rather - nobody has been able to tell a valid and irrefutable reason, why things need to be done that way - it's usually "that's how we have always done it" reason. The accounting people don't even care that the previous invoice remains valid in the system (as long as their precious FI-CA postings do not multiply), because there is nothing in IS-U that automatically reverses or invalidates it... And I don't get why the regulators even permit it...<rant off>

Script to navigate to next or previous document

Hi,
since CC it's impossible to assign the shortcut CTRL-TAB to "next document" and CTRL-SHIFT-TAB to "previous document"
what I found out is, that it is possible to assign these shortcuts to a script, so, if I had a script that go's to next document and one to go to previous document, I can assign those shortcuts to these scripts and my problem is solved (in a way)
So now I have two little questions,
1. how to make a script that takes me to the next document
2. how to make a script that takes me to the previous document
I know how to edit scripts, but scripting itself is like Chinese for me :-)

Close all applications.
Option click the "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.
From the drop down select Library.
Locate the folder named " Saved Application State".
Locate the folder named "com.microsoft.word.SavedState".
Move it to Trash.
Relaunch Word.

Document Numbering Action Issues

Been having nothing but problems with the Document Numbering Action provided by Adobe and unfortunately have a big need for it.
Currently, whenever I deselect "Include Page #" forces the the Doc# to become "Exhibit/Document NaN" and won't number the documents at all. Just showing Document NaN or Document undefined.
You can try and manually change it, but it will just over ride you.
Also, how can I change the text propertoes? I don't want Helvetica 10px Black which is default, and while I can change the background, I would like to be able to at least adjust the text size and color.
Tried on 3 computers, done a full Acrobat and Action reinstall and all have the same problem.

Well, I've found that if I simply allow the first document to have a page number, it will allow me to remove it for all the subsequent pages without issue. Then I just go back and edit it later.
Still trying to figure out a way to change the text colour and size however.
If it helps, I am combing all the files. Is there a way to batch change colours and size of comments?

Basically I want to clean my 2009 Macbook6,1 as though I were selling it and start out fresh but before I attempt it I want to stash my contents (Files, Documents, Bookmarks, iTunes and iPhoto libraries to my external Hard Drive, all in separate folders to return them to Macbook after the full sweep and big overwrite. Can anyone help me?

That may not be the best approach (see below).
Format the drive for a Mac (see #1 in Using Disk Utility if you're not sure how).
Create the folders you want on it.
Open a second Finder window and drag what you want from one to the other.
If you only copy the stuff listed, you'll lose your AddressBook, Mail, Calendars, preferences, and probably all sorts of other things.
A better option might be to back up your entire system, either with Time Machine or one of the "cloning" apps. Then you can restore selectively from TM, or copy selectively from the clone.

First thing to (un)check:
When you shutdown/restart, there's a dialog box which confirms your request. In that box is a little checkbox which you should uncheck.

Help please... Go To Previous Document Javascript??

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if you can help out with this problem. I've been trying ways to get around it, searching everywhere but to no avail. I've found that lots of people are having this problem but I can't seem to find the answer.
So we have a button set that goes to "Previous Document", "Previous View", "Rotate", etc. Unfortunately our "Previous Document" Button doesn't work anymore, but if the user hits Alt + Shift + left arrow key, go to previous document command works. The command also works from the menu (ie: View > Go To > Previous Document)
Our button has "execute Menu Item" command in it that worked beautiful with 6 and 7.
Can anyone please share a way to solve this issue we're having?

Shortcut for "Switch to Previous Document" to work in Dreamweaver cs6

My "suggestion" (it's not a suggestion by the way - that's what DW says in the menu bar Window > Next Document/Previous Document) is the same as Cmd-Shift-tilde(~). ~ key is ` key.
This key combination has not been changed as far as I remember. It's the same in CS5 (ctrl + tab does nothing by the way).
Are you using German keyboard and German DW? What does it say in the menu bar Window > Next Document/Previous Document (in German equivalent obviously )
