8.1.2 error 1935

Using Vista. Accepted offer to update. This removed Reader from my machine. When I tried to download and install got error 1935.

Got fix from another post (Laura Finateau). Go to Microsoft web site:
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/Help/ca7d15d7-8ee3-4993-bd01-753dadc9041210 33.mspx
It's the same fix as already mentioned. When I first tried it the problem may have been I wasn't in the root directory c:\.
In case it doesn't work when you first try it in directory you open up in, type cd c:\ which puts you in root directory. You should get message "operation completed successfully."
I am running Vista. Here it is:
In Start- Search Box type "Command Prompt" and enter (don't type quotes)
Right click and select "Run as Administrator"
Then type and enter:
fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\
you should get message "operation completed successfully."
then restart
reinsatall Adobe Reader. NO ERRROR 1935
I got the same error 1935 message while updating another program, but update finished installing. When I tried to open program after update I got message: "Application failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect." I suspect this fix will work there too.

  • Error 1935 and the VisualC++2005 Redistributable

    Hullo,
This is my post from the answers.microsoft.com forum where it has received no replies
Updated: - have contacted Microsoft support four times, of those four chat sessions three have been "Remote Control" sessions.
    Problem still exists
Today I copied a file from another computer that I could not find anywhere to download called *vcredist2_x86.exe. After I executed the file from the desktop the error was similar to the one below (in the cut and paste from the other MS support forum)
    Today's error window
[Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'policy.9.0.Microsoft.VC90.CRT,version="9.0.30729.6161",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86",type"win32-policy"'.Please refer

When I close this error report the redistributable "rolls back" and I have another window with a link to g0_microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=119537
Can anyone shed some light on these problems (I am only a hobbyist but have invested quite a bit of my personal time trying to solve this?)
    Thank you for reading

  • Lightroom 5 instal on Windows 7 - error 1935

    Hello Adobe Community,
This is my first post/discussion here. I am a new (almost) user of Lightroom and have not been able to instal it, despite several attempts.
I purchased LIghtroom 5 and was able to access the Installer, but each time I try to instal onto my Windows 7 computer, I get the following message in a pop-up window:
Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly component
    {5C21D397-1DA5-3749-8C1F-165F21DE9E9E3E}.
    HRESULT: 0x80070BC9.
Having had no luck finding an answer in any of the online help places or in the Manual, I'm hoping someone here will be able to tell me what this means and what I can do.
Tech is not my strong point, so I'm also hoping the solution will be simple, and it can be explained in a straightforward way that I will be able to follow.
    Thanks!

What is the exact error which you are receiving?  You may want to try the solution listed in Error 1935 | Assembly component Microsoft.VC80.CRT | Install | CS4, CS5, CS5.5 products | Windows - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-1935-assembly-component-microsoft.html.

I'm working on an error installing a product on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 machines. The server has been acting as a file server for months with no problems. The application requires .net 3.5 and .net 4 client profile to be installed. I'm able to pass the

The weird thing about this error is that I cant find anything useful from the event viewer. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
    Thank you in advance!

    Hi,
Thanks for posting in the forum.
Before going further, would you please let me know what the product you want to install on the server is? At this time, you could try to disable the anti-virus program first if it is installed
on the server. Then please try to reinstall the two version of .Net Framework and Visual C++ 2005 / 2008 Redistributable Package to see if the issue could be resolved.
    Hope this helps.
    Best Regards,
    Andy Qi

  • Error 1935 - Adobe Reader (11) - An error occurred during the installation of assembly component - Windows 7

    NOT RESOLVED
It seems to be a problem with my windows installation. I will re-install at a later date since installing PDF viewing programs the only issue.
    Problem:
While installing Adobe Reader XI using the install_reader11_en_mssd_aaa_aih.exe from Adobe Reader Install for all versions and AdbeRdr11000_en_US.msi from a forum post on here. Error 1935 occurs using both installers and causes the setup to fail and initiate rollback.
    Additional information:
In Programs & Features list there is no adobe reader as you can see:
This is pretty much a clean install of windows on which I have installed: Adobe Flash Player (16), Steam + some games, Chrome, Skype and some Visual C++ Redistributables, .NET Framwork, Drivers for GPU, CPU, Motherboard and USB devices.
    Error:
Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component

    Motherboard: ASRock Z97 Extreme 4
    GPU: Gigabtye - G1 Gaming GTX 970
    CPU: Intel Core - i7 4770K @4.00 GHz
    RAM: 16GB Kingston Hyper X (8x2)
    Steps taken:
    1. I have cleared the transaction log using command prompt with the following command:
        fsutil resource setautoreset true C:\
Restarting the computer and trying to install Adobe Reader 11 results in the same error.
    2. Restarting the computer, disabling Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and installing Adobe Reader 11 results in the same error.
    3. Chrome has "allow all sites to run JavaScript" checked.
    Thanks
    Edit:
I have attempted to install an earlier version (10.1.4) of Adobe Reader - Same error occurs.
    Edit 2:
I'm going to look for some alternatives for the mean time
    Edit 2.1:
These alternative programs are failing to install as well. Multiple errors, I now assume the issue is with my windows installation.

adobe reader issues windows 8 Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {B708EB72-AA82-3EB7-8BB0-D845BA35C93D}. HRESULT: 0x80070422.
I have tried many things to try to install it and I have been unsucessful. Please help I have windows 8 64bit.

This did not resolve my issue, it actually made things worse. I did what
you had told me to do below, and it did not work. Tried to access the
internet to respond back to you and my computer was not able to reach the
internet. Tried reaching adobe support and not was able to, even tried
calling was on the phone for 20 minutes and no one answered. I was not able
to re install windows. Contacted Asus from another computer and they were
not able to help me reinstall windows They had asked me to ship my computer
back to them, due to them not being able to resolve the issue and help me
reinstall windows. I luckily had a backup on my external hard drive and was
able to reinstall windows 8. Spent over an hour and half trying to fix
that. Here I am still not able to install adobe reader. I was very unhappy
with what I was told to do and it gave me this issue.
    ·  Open an Administrator command prompt: Right-click Start > All Programs >
Accessories > Command Prompt and select Run As Administrator. Click Allow
    for the elevation prompt
    ·  In the command prompt, type the command below:
    fsutil resource setautoreset true C:\
The line above assumes that C: is the drive in which Vista is installed. If
it is installed on another drive like D:, change the drive letter
    appropriately.
    ·  Restart the system.
    ·  Install Acrobat or Adobe Reader again.

I have also seen this error a number of times here in the forum, but I do not know what causes it.  It seems to be some kind of conflict with the .NET Framework.  Could it be that some update to the .NET Framework is running at the same time?  (.NET Framework updates perform assemblies that can run for several hours.)
