8.1.2 Safari wont respond to screen taps on web buttons.

To sum this up I have had this issue since 8.1.x. The Safari browser will not recognize taps to many we buttons. The most problematic are the pagination buttons on Google. This is happening on my 6plus.
I contacted Apple support about the problem and after doing a scan of the phone they determined that the hardware must be bad since the software could never have such a big problem that went unnoticed for so long. Even though this was clearly a software problem. They gave me a new phone and after the iCloud backup (which lost 4 days worth of data) was restored the problem was still there. Reset the phone and started clean with no backup and still had the problem.
Confirmed this problem exists on five of my friends iPhone6/6plus. They did not realize they had the problem until I showed them. Seems like everyone has the problem.
Apple sees the issue, but still denies there is a problem with the software and they refuse to report it as such. They have offered to give me another exchange phone as the new hardware must be bad as well. I do not need to waste my time exchanging phones for a software problem. When I asked what kind of hardware follows web buttons in the browser there was no good response.
Easiest way to reproduce the problem:
Search for something on Google using Safari.
Go to the bottom of the page and tap "Next" button to see the next page. (this may or may not work)
Go tot he bottom of the next page results and tap "Page 2" (this should be Page 3, but whatever) You should find that tapping here will not work.
Sometimes holding the button and using the "Open" command from the pop up menu works. Sometimes it does not.
All subsequent search pages have buttons that will not work. You essentially cannot directly tap to anything past the second results page.
This is not only for page buttons on Google. The problem happens with links on Google, as well as links and buttons on other sites.
Can anyone else confirm this issue?

Another test:
Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts) and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.

    Like some of the other applications on my power book my screen for safari wont go max and cover my whole screen, i have to squint to read. Clicking on the green + thing wont maximize to the fullest.

    If your main problem is squinting to read, then you need to increase your font size in Safari and/or go up to the View menu and click on "make text bigger" a few times. You can als use the key combination of command and the plus sign to increase text size. This is a different issue than increasing the size of your browser window to full screen.
    You can click and hold on the lower right hand corner of the browser window and drag it down and to the right as far as you want to fill the screen.
    Hope this helps you avoid further eye strain.

    First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
    Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
    If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
    At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
    If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

  • IPhone 4 wont start. Screen remains blank and buttons are unresponsive unless its connected to mains or PC, when an Apple LOGO appears. Only on mains displays IOS 6, update, connect to iTunes. On connecting to PC just displays apple logo on and off.

Only on mains occasionaly proceeds to display IOS 6 logo and a slide sign to start recovery which proceeds to an instruction to connect to iTunes. Hwever, as soon as disconnected from mains (in order to connect to the PC) screen goes totally blank again. On connecting to PC the Apple LOGO starts appearing intermittently but does not proceed to display IOS 6 LOGO. I have recharged overnight and followed resetting instructions as per the iPhone support page. Any suggestions (short of taking it to a service centre) ?

    I see by your post that the toner is smudging on the paper and you have to continuously turn the printer on and off to be able to print.
    I will be happy to help you.
    Make sure the printer is  connected directly to a wall outlet.
    I have provided a document to go through the steps to see if we can resolve this issue.
    Troubleshooting Print Quality Issues.
    Make sure the proper paper type is selected from the print driver.
    On the File menu in your software application, click print. Select preferences. Click on the Paper/Quality tab. Click on the Paper/Quality tab. Under Type is, select the proper paper type.
    Are you using Genuine HP Toners?
    What kind of paper are you using?
    The paper is probably too glossy and is resisting the toner.
    It is best to use Laserjet paper or bright white paper.
    Advanced paper is porus and is made for inkjet printers which the ink soaks into the paper.
    Premium paper has chemicals and ink which soaks in the paper and takes longer to dry.

    Had the same problem with setting the country up as it was in the middle scrolled it up or down the screen it was selectable but any other country in the middle was also unresponsive
    have powered down a few times and still the same lucky we have an Apple store nearby cant do a reset either as I cant get far enough into the setup to get connected to my pc!!

    Make sure iPad's battery is charged above 20% (we would recommend at least 50 - 60 %). If you are not sure charge you tablet for at least 40 minutes.
    Make sure your Apple tablet is in Power On state.
    Watching the shining screen of iconic tablet with apps' icons on it press and hold down the Wake/Sleep and the Home buttons simultaneously, ignore the red slide "to power off", just keep both buttons holding until the Apple logo appears. This logo is the signal that the hard reset has succeeded. Be patient, some times the hard restart of iPad may take up to 10 - 15 minutes. But such a long restart is a rare case.

    First, let's make sure that what you call a "hard reset" is a true system Reset...

    What happens if you try to do a hard reset?  To do this, press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.  This may or may not work the first time around so be sure to attempt this at least a minimum of three times.
    If the iPod remains frozen, let the iPod's battery drain completely, but attempting to recharge the iPod.

    First off, it should have remained in the rice for a few days. And sitting it in the sun could have damaged the device. Put it back in the bag of rice, but my bet is its cooked.
