8.2 update and bluetooth connections.

I updated to 8.2 and my bluetooth connections have been horrible ever since. I have to reconnect in my vehicle every time I restart the vehicle. I have to reconnect to my Bose sound dock every morning. In the past, these connected automatically almost without fail. Anyone else having these issues?

Greetings rwoff,
It appears you are experiencing bluetooth issues with multiple devices. That does sound troublesome. I have linked to an article which may help you find a solution:
iOS: Troubleshooting Bluetooth connections - Apple Support
If your device is still experiencing issues
If the steps above have not resolved the Bluetooth behavior you are experiencing, perform a software restore in iTunes.
If the issue persists after restoring your iOS device in iTunes, contact Apple for support and service options.
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.
Best,

  • New iMac and Bluetooth connection to mobile phone

    Hi,
I have a brand new iMac 21.5", 3.33 GHz here and I use a Motorola KRZR K1 mobile phone and the emitSMS widget, to send SMS messages.
But this widget can't detect the Bluetooth connection to the mobile phone.
I delete the bluetooth preferences, but this does't help.

  • Nokia lumina 820 with cyan update and bluetooth co...

    Hi
Since applying the cyan update to my nokia lumina 820 and when connected via bluetooth to the nissan connect system in a Qashqai the audio is periodically interupted for a couple of seconds. This seems to coincide with either the phone signal dropping off or it could be when going from one cell to another. Very annoying and always happens when the phone is on and connected. If the phone is off or in flight mode or the bluetooth is off then it does not happen. Any suggestions please ??

    Hi dave411,
The Lumia Cyan update with WP 8.1 consists of two parts. Were you able to successfully install both parts? Is Lumia Cyan already showing up under Settings > extras + info? Apart from the SW update, have you also checked if the phone's system apps have been updated? You can go to Settings > swipe to applications > store > check for updates. And then, pair your Lumia 820 with your Qashqai's Nissan Connect System again and see if the same issue will happen.
    We'll wait for your response.

Does Apple respond to the Support Forum posts?
Is there a pending solution, and what is the timeline?  Should I be raising my issues with Acura or Plantronics?  I have read that RESET of the phone is a temporary solution.  I am not going to reset my phone on a daily basis.  The whole reason for iCloud backups is so I don't have to start over with each new device.
I have a business trip this week, and I use my car bluetooth and bluetooth headset heavily.  Today I convinced a Best Buy Geek Squad employee to perform a little experiment with my iPhone 6 and iOS8.0.2.  We did not try the Plantronic Voyager Legend, because it is my current headset, and does not work.  We tried the Bose Series 2 (clearly price does not help compatibility), which did not work.  We also tried a Jawbone Era and a $29 something, all without success.
8.0.2 worked until my phone battery died on Saturday.
Even if there are a variety of industry standards for Bluetooth technology, it is unreasonable that Apple excludes such a large percentage of the users market.  I know Apple likes a good secret, but could they share enough information with the accessory market?
Why doesn't Apple aim to provide the world most stable operating system, instead of the most changing?  I am all for change and innovation.  I will even continue to pre-order the latest and greatest Apple product.  But change without function or at a loss of function is ridiculous.  I had this same experience with the iOS 7 release.  I am sure that most of my issues will be resolved by Thanksgiving.  Why not rewrite operating systems on a two year cycle, so you can actually test it first?  I would appreciate if Apple stopped testing their products on the customers that are the most supportive.
PS This is not the only issue I have found (horizontal keyboard, apps sticking, etc, etc)  This is just the issue that is effecting me most directly today.  Apple you reputation is suffering.  I think I just heard Steve Jobs turn over.

  • Problems with PC Suite and bluetooth connection to...

    Hi, I have the following:
Pentium 4 PC running Windows XP service pack 2
    PC Suite 6.82.22.0
    PC Connectivity Solution:
    Version 6.43.9.0
    Bluetooth stack:
    Microsoft Bluetooth stack
    Version 5.1.2600
    Build 2180
I have had repeated problems trying to get a reliable connection between my 6230 and PC using Bluetooth. Actions so far:
    - Uninstalled PC suite, ran the Cleaner, reinstalled
    - Uninstalled IVT Bluesoleil
    - Done battery reset on phone
    - Restored factory settings on phone
    - Set phone to auto-connect without confirmation
Restoring the factory settings worked -- but only for a few hours! If I so much as restore my ringtone I'm back to square one which is:
    - PC suite recognises "Nokia 6230 connected via bluetooth"
    - PC Sync either fails to recognise the connection at all, or completes with 0 contacts updated, or gives me an error "the mobile phone did not respond"
    - Phone browser sometimes recognises the phone, and sometimes not. Trying to synch via the browser doesn't work.
    - Music transfer starts out by recognising the phone, then stalls and loses the connection.
I can't restore factory settings every time I want to synch my contacts or move music/pictures -- life is much too short! Anybody have any other bright ideas?
    Thank you!

    Hi,
If you are using memory card -> remove that from phone and then try to use PC Suite with your phone...does it help??
BTW: always when you try to use PC Sync, set phone's UI to idle state.

  • E52 - problem with lock code and bluetooth connect...

I have an E52 as my work phone, and due to company security policy, a lock code and autolock (30 minutes max) is mandatory. This is giving me problems when using bluetooth headsets, regardless of the make (Plantronics, my Garmin GPS, and latest the built in Fiscon in my car). As long as the phone is not locked, everything works fine, I can make and receive calls. But, when the phone locks, I am no longer able to make calls. In the car (both on the GPS, and on the built in connection) I can still browse the phone book and select a number, but when I attempt to dial, nothing happens.
If I enter my lock code, I can make calls without problems. However, it sort of defies the purpose of having a rather expensive hands free kit in my car, if I can only make calls the first 30 minutes of my ride.
Is this a known problem, and is there a solution?

This is not a problem as such, more of a design flaw.  It is not possible to make a call when the phone is locked, I guess the only way around the issue is just to press a button on the phone every now and then.  Say every 15 to 20 mins just push the menu button or any button randomly, that should reset the timer back to 30 minutes until it is locked next.
    Hope this helps.
Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.

  • 10.6.4 Update and Bluetooth issue

I just updated to 10.6.4 and my MBPro now doesn't allow bluetooth keyboard or mouse to wake when sleeping. The option to "allow bluetooth device to wake computer" is greyed out. This wasn't an issue prior to the update.
    Any ideas?

I am thinking there was a problem with BT and sleeping of MBPs. I have a bluetooth mouse and disabled that feature in 10.6.3
I don't need my mouse to wake my MBP anyway. Sorry I am not much help. Just stating my view.
I just checked my computer...that area is not grayed out on mine and I am at 10.6.4.

  • Not responsive wireless mouse and keyboard, No internet/wifi and Bluetooth connection.

    Hi,
I need help as both my wireless mouse and wireless keyboard are totally no responsive and I replaced them with fresh new batteries. My wifi/internet connection is offline too. My Bluetooth signal is the Bluetooth with jagged lines "Bluetooth offline". I tried to disconnect all my USB devices and restarted. I tried the methods listed here but to no avail.
Yesterday afternoon there was a lightning in the skies and it caused blackout throughout my whole house. So it might be due to the power surge from the Lightning but all my other devices like my iPhone and modem router are working fine. I restarted the router too. It was fine the whole evening till nighttime yesterday. This morning I woke up, I can't do anything at all.

First thing to try is resetting the PRAM per the instructions below. If that does not work then please use the instructions on how to connect a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard below.

  • Skype update and cannot connect

with the previous versions i had to try 20 times to login than it worked, now since the update im trying for almost one hour but skype does not connect.
and no it is not a network , firewall or pc issue.
It only happens with skype , other programs work fine .

Hi, and welcome to the community!
What Skype version are you running? (Help>About Skype)
What Operating system are you running?
I know you say that it's not a firewall issue, but there's a chance it is, just that other programs go through it. Disable your AV+Firewall and try again.

  • Audible and bluetooth connections

I hope someone out there can give me some pointers to make audible work with my Palm, Tungsten E2.  When I got the E2 initially, a year or two ago, I didn't have any problems.  I deleted Audible and other things I didn't need thus freeing up some internal memory.  New install of Windows XP later and I have to re-install all my software, including the palm stuff.
I have recently become an audible addict.  I have been trying all night tonight to get audible re-installed and working on my palm, so far with no luck.  I have done the hard boot and restored the factory settings and reinstalled all the software both on my computer and my palm.  I have several books that I have purchased through audible and I cannot manage to get it installed on my palm.  I installed the software provided by Audible.com.  I followed the onscreen instructions.  Started Audible on my palm, enabled the pc transfer, then turn on the Audible manager on my pc.  My palm starts going crazy at that point.  The error message I get is "CodecMgrIsFormatSupported returned that MP3 is not supported"  I un-installed and re-installed the audible software several times before I did the hard boot.  Since then I have un-installed and re-installed several times.
I have tried everything I can think of, even going so far as to take the expansion card out and moving the files directly to the SD card.  When I attempt to listen to the books, I have to sign in, and it won't take my log-in information.
I have even tried (using my bluetooth enabled phone) to sign on to the internet and attempted to go to audible.com to download the books directly to my palm, and I cannot even get a connection going.
I hope someone in these forums can give me some advice on what I am doing wrong, otherwise I'll just have to wait till Audible has a player that will work with my Zune.
    Post relates to: Tungsten E2

Audible has an answer for this:
In short: Remove the AudiblePlayer from the Palm device and install an alternate version of the AudiblePlayer.
    See http://audible.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/audible.cfg/php/enduser/popup_adp.php?p_faqid=3733&p_created=120...
for the description and the alternate version of the audibleplayer.
    Worked for me!

  • After updating two of my 4 devices, Iphone 5 and mini Ipad to 7.0.3, my devices would no longer recognize my network password for my wifi. My other two devices, a regular Ipad and an Iphone 4s were not updated and they connect perfectly to my wifi. Help?

I tried resetting but nothing works...what else can I do?

    Some things you can try:
    1. Reset router
    2. Reset iphone
Some solutions say reset-network-settings on the iphone/ipad, but due to some people getting greyed out wifi, I would not use that approach if possible. There are other ways to achieve the same results.
    3. On wifi page, "forget this network" and re-enter password again.
    4. Change the password on your wifi router.
    5. Change security to none first, get connected on wifi, then change security on router back to WPA2 AES, and re-enter password on iphone/ipad mini.
These are the usual steps we can take to get logged into wifi.

  • Mac Mini and Bluetooth connectivity

Can I install an Apple magic mouse and magic trackpad with my Mac Mini (early 2009) using OS X Lion ?  Anybody have this set-up ?  Any issues with having both active bluetooth devices ?  I'm currently using the magic mouse and want to add the trackpad when I upgrade from Snow Leopard to Lion.

It will see each device as a unique BT device and there should be no issues pairing both. I do not have a M Trackpad, but as an experiment, I paired two Magic Mouses. No issues.

  • IPhone 6 Plus/iOS 8 and bluetooth connectivity

My iPhone 6 Plus would pair with both my cars, but couldn't make or receive calls!  Erased iPhone and started fresh and it worked.  Then restored from Backup on my computer and luckily it still worked.  Then I updated to iOS 8.0.2 and lo and behold again I couldn't make or receive calls through the car even though it was paired!  Had to go through the whole process I described above again, and then it worked.  Is this going to happen every time Apple has a update?  This is crazy!

The support tech is wrong.  Has nothing to do with the car's firmware.  I had a 5S that I upgraded to iOS 8 and it worked fine.  New iPhone 6 Plus enters the picture and that was the problem.  And the rest I wrote above.  The new iOS 8.0.2 is riddled with so many bugs, it's ridiculous.  Interestingly, when Steve Jobs was alive, issues like this simply didn't exist......my hope is that they fix all these issues quickly and stop blaming it on everything except themselves.  Very disappointing to say the least.  This is probably the worst iteration of all the iOS versions with regard to bugs and issues......and who knows, maybe it's actually the phones......
