800W - Send Key Call Log no longer shows names

Every so often, when I hit the send key and see the log, I only see numbers. I normally am suppose to see names instead of numbers. Only way to fix this would be to do a restart. This is getting really annoying, is there any fix for this?

I'm not sure what could cause that. Is it possible there are many programs running? Next time it happens, check your Task Manager and see whether ending task on some of them helps with the problem.

Call log no longer displaying any calls

Using Pearl and the call log no longer will display any of the calls that I have made, received or missed. The settings in the Menu options are set to list all missed calls, but none have been appearing for two days now. Any thoughts or fixes or is this a known issue with no resolution?

You're facing memory constraints in your device. Due to which MMS
are being received in your device but for low memory they were deleted
you even see them.
Perform the following steps -
Give a soft reset by removing the battery for 30sec.
Check how much memory is free in your device to Options -> Status -> Free Memory. To view all the database size go to Option -> Status -> click Menu button then select Database Sizes
Delete less frequently used application. To delete go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> highlight the application you want to delete -> click Menu and select Delete
If you stored your picture in device memory them move them to your media card.

Call log entry deleting shows error "invalid selec...

there are three entries in my nokia c3 call log when i delet them the error comes "invalid selection". i had cleared all logs but they still exists. i had reset my phone but still these entries exists in my call log. how can i delet these entries from my call log. and these contact entries are now not in my contact list. but there name exist in my call log without their number and date and call duration.

I get the same message with various JRE versions (1.3.1 Blackdown, 1.3.1 Oracle, 1.1.8 Oracle).
DBCA seems to die in line 124 (with the progress bar at 19%) where it uses oracle.sysman.assistants.dbca -> maybe this one is corrupt or wrong/outdated. Maybe it would be possible to save the database generation script (like in 8.x) as a batch and then run it manually without using Java-based tools. But: where do I generate this batchfile - dbca only seems to save a XML configuration file.
Thanks for any hints. Michael At least for the lat part of my question I found an answer: the option for writing a script with the DB geneation statements is not available for the 'General Purpose' DB. When selecting 'New database' it seems to work fine.

Can Skype send me call logs

I would like to know if there is any way I can get a list of all the calls I have made using Skype out over a 12 month period.

Skype doesn't know what your password is
if you have forgotten your password you can only request a password reset, but that doesn't stop you from using the same password again
the reset 'token' will be sent to the email address you registered when you signed up for Skype

Contacts no longer show names, only numbers

All my contacts disappeared, they arent in my contacts. The ones left in my favourites and in my messages only display the numbers. I have tried a lot of things and nothing has worked. This is EXTREMELY frustrating, almost at the point of ditching apple.

Settings > iCloud > Contacts - Switch ON (Green side showing)
If it's already switched on, switch it off, wait a few minutes, then switch it back on

Find My Friends and iMessage no longer shows names?

I imagine it did some auto-update and now when I get a text it shows the phone number and not the name, when I look at my Find My Friends app it shows there email instead of a name and photo. I am pretty sure it just needs access to the contact indo but outside of deleting the apps and reinstalling them I do not know how to do this.

Suggest you try signing out of your ID for both services, then force close both apps, reset your phone, then sign back in.

Long press the call log entry, then you can see the options.
for example:
Menu > Applications > Log > Recent calls > Missed calls > Long press entry and see following:
- Call,
- Create Number,
- Save To Contacts,
- Use Number,
- Delete

BB Z10 - Call Log not functional anymore

I no longer have a list of dialed, received or missed calls on my BB Z10. No matter what I try, the call log/list will simply not come back,. Did any one experience this problem?

Note: All previous phone call logs will be deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone. It is recommended that you perform a backup of your BlackBerry smartphone before continuing. Please see KB18556.
Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager on your computer.
Make sure the BlackBerry smartphone is connected to the computer.
Click on Backup and Restore.
Click on the Advanced button.
On the right hand side under Device Databases select Phone Call Logs.
Click the Clear button.

PROBLEM WITH CALL LOGS/CONTACTS

I AM FACING A WIERD PROBLEM WITH MY Z10, WHEN I GET A CALL OR A MISS CALL THE NUMBER SHOWS UNDER A DIFFERENT CONTACT NAME HOWEVER THE ORIGINAL CONTACTS REMAIN UNCHANGED AS IT ONLY HAPPENS IN CALL LOG PAGE.

Sorry to hear you're experiencing an issue with your Call Logs.
Is the name in the log showing as a different contact entirely, or is the name not how you manually entered it in your phone?
Does this happen with all your contacts in the logs or just specific ones?
Do you have multiple link sources for your Contacts in the Contacts app?

Solved - Call Logs stopped saving

Hi all,
Is there a limit of how many calls appear in the call log? I've received calls since yesterday, but no calls appear in the call log since yesterday.
I have reset, but no more appear.
If there is a limit, I am happy to delete them, but if not, I don't want to waste them without reason.

Empty call log!!!!!

I have recently changed from iPhone and am still getting used to android! The call log is always showing empty so unable to see calls. I have read previous forums and I have amended call log to show and it is still showing empty. I imported all my contacts from my iPhone by xperia transfer when.I first had the.phone. Is there any way I can get a call log at all!?!?! Thanks in advance

Hi there.
I was facing the same problem and found some kind of a solution.
I've installed a call log from Google Play (Call Log Monitor, one with a red icon) selected all the log (with the check boxes) and delete the log. On the Phone log it appears a message saying "Call log empty", tried to make a call and the call appeared on the log.
Problem solved, with a little effort.
I think that the problem is with the recover app from Sony, so... DON'T use it

Hi there and welcome to the forums!
You can resolve this using the following steps (I've done the same on my Storm for the same reason as you):
Open the phone application, then press the BB Menu button and select Options
Choose Call Logging and then change the call logging options to None.
This will still show an icon for missed calls, but it will remove the call log from your main messages folder.

Call log details missing after software upgrade

My call log used to show various coloured telephone handset icons on the LHS denoting calls made, call received, missed calls, etc.
Since a recent software upgrade these are missing.
Can someone advise how I can restore them?

Phone/send button no longer brings up call log

phone/send button no longer brings up call log. I press the phone button to get to the phone, then hit button again to view call log and screen merely blinks...repeatedly.
Post relates to: Treo 650 (Cingular)

We have two Treo 650's in the family.
Spouse's Treo is having the same problem, button works OK to get into Phone app but second press does not bring up the Recent Calls list.
Spouse has never installed Datebk5 although I have it. He has problem, I do not. Still I decided to try this fix and similar fix by TakePhone developers...problem NOT resolved.
I did try a SYSTEM RESET (not a hard or soft reset) and that worked...but in order to get wireless working again a soft reset is required. After doing the required soft reset the problem returned.
I am not the only one in this boat:
