802.11g Printer Card for DeskJet 460c Printer

I am trying to install a 802.11g CF card and print to my 460C DeskJet wirelessly from this computer and my other laptop.  Both computers have wireless capability and use the Belkin Wireless Router to access the internet.
I cannot seem to find the correct steps to complete the installation.  I have been to Dell Chat 3 times, the "suggestions"  have ranged from move the printer to another room away from the wireless router to sending the card back to the retailer .  The guys are very polite, but dont have a clue!!
I have tried the step by step instructions on the HP site, but it never gets to installation and testing of the unit.  I do not have the starter CD, and the HP site says to use the driver that comes with Vista.  I have a working Wireless Network to the internet and the latest drivers in my HP printer and a working printer when attached via USB    Help

I'm having exactly the same problem. In my case, I have the HP Starter CD.  I exported the wireless profile to a usb stick and inserted it in the back of the 460c but I can no instructions anywhere as to what to do next...

    Hi,
Which type of connection you want to use ? Which tabs are you talking about ? I could not find full specs of your printer, how old is it ? Do you use a wireless network at home ? As mentioned above, I don't know your existing hardware therefore you need to check the book and select a suitable connection first.

  • Windows 7 in OS printer driver for Deskjet 6840 not printing properly

The Windows 7 (32 bit) in OS print driver for the Deskjet 6840 produces print in "Normal" mode that is blurred (not properly registered left to right and slightly vertically). When printing in "Draft" mode it is apparent that the driver is not setting the left and right margins correctly, so that each line is alternately shifted left or right on the page. If I switch to a 500C driver, the printer works fine (but of course high res images do not print properly). This is occuring on two wired network computers, both running clean installs of Windows 7 professional with all current updates including Service Pack 1. Microsoft says, "It's a HP printer, it's their problem". I'm just looking for an answer. Anyone have experience with this?

    Hello Bhl3302,
Thanks for posting at NI forums! I think you should follow RavensFan advice on contacting the vendor for information on the driver’s support, or if you have a readme file, you could check on that. Also, are the Windows XP and Windows sharing the same architecture (32 or 64 bits)? Maybe the driver is not compatible with one of them, in case it changed. I did a quick search on the error message you're getting, and I found this forum in which they give some steps you could follow regarding the INF file. For instance, in one of the comments, they say they had a similar issue with another device and they found some work arounds.

  • Default printing options for Deskjet D1600

    Hi everybody
My defautl printing options are all defined for european paper format (A4, A5, B5, etc)
and the paper i used is american paper format (8.5x11, 8.5x14, etc)
So to have american paper format predefined options. I had to create them one by one.
The list now contains 16 entries: 8 europeans (will never use) + 8 americans.
I find it too long to consult each time i print.
So if one of you is generous enough to export a registry hive and give me a copy.
I would be all set. The hive i need (Windows XP home sp3) is under:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Print\Printers\HP Deskjet D1600 series]
Don't worry i'll manage to make a duplicate under:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers\HP Deskjet D1600 series] and
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Print\Printers\HP Deskjet D1600 series]
And if everything goes wrong. I'll rollback with saved exports to my old 16 entries.
I hate those. This @#!? me off.

Did you get a resolution? I have a similar issue although I wish to use US format envelopes as default rather than B5(JIS) which are European. Sounds like you know a bit more than I do already. Any advise?

    Hi nnnnnnnnn,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I understand you need the drivers for 10.7.5.
I will be happy to help you.
Unfortunately there are no HP drivers available but I did find the HP Deskjet F2100 series driver from Apple's Website which hopefully will work for you. It is a fairly large download.
HP Printer Drivers v.2.16.1 for OS X.
This is a list of the printers available that are supported.
OS X: Printer and scanner software available for download.
    Hope this helps.

  • Replacement Power Cables for Deskjet 3050A Printer

I have recently dug up my old printer, a HP Deskjet 3050A. However, I could not find any of the cables required to use it.
I am looking to get a set of replacement cables, however I haven't been able to use the HP website as I couldn't find my item serial number. I have been unable to get in touch with HP because of this.
Any advice on where to go/who to contact would be much appreciated.

HP does not list the power adapter (or any other parts for the Deskjet 3050a) on their Partsurfer Site, but I have had good results in the past buying printer power adapters from eBay.  The results here may help.

  • Ink for Deskjet 500 printer

My first visit in here after registering today.
Does anyone know which ink cartridge has replaced the venerable black ink only  HP 51626A that i used for many years to feed my printer?
For some reason HP lists paper for this printer machine that could be purchased from them in this site  but no mention of ink cartridges.
I would appreciate any answer, except that i have to throw away my printer cause HP does not support it any longer with ink cartridges.
    Smiles.
    Thank you

The HP 51626A cartridge is now known as 26, see here for details.

  • Printer server for two HP printer on VISTA PC

I have just purchased a Dell pc with the VISTA operation system.
I have two HP printers: HP Laser Jet 4100, Model CAAC049A, Serial # USJNG10352 and a HP business inkjet 2250, Model C2691A#ABA, Serical # SSG095110PR.
I want to set them up so all PC's in the house can access them. I had been using an old Linksys printserver that is no longer support and will not work with VISTA.
Is there any way that I can get these printers set up to work with VISTA and a print server? I know I can add a card to each that will let me use an HP jet direct card. I have also seen a parallel print server for sale on your web site.
    What options do I have.

  • Print program for delivery output printing

    Hi,
I need help with creating a custom smart form and print program for outbound delivery.
    1. i want to know how to select data in my print program ? i mean how to i get the delivery number when the output type is executed.
    2. What parameters are to be passed so that delivery opens as soon as the output type is processed.
    Thank you.
    Usha

Details of output triggered can be obtained from nast. By default structure nast is populated with the values when the print program is being processed. Field OBJKY is used for the delivery number; Application : V2
It could be enough to pass an internal table with item level details and an header structure. This more or less is dependent on the output desired.

  • Install printer driver for a  shared printer MP520

    Hi,
I need to install the Canon MP520 (http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=116&mo delid=15483) printer to my MBP. The printer is connected to another a mac running OSX and is shared. I installed the OSX driver provided on the Canon page and I can see the shared printer in the network printers but when I am asked to choose the driver I can't see the correct model listed.
On the other hand, if I simply connect the same printer via USB, to my MBP it is recognized directly.
When I'm asked to provide the driver while adding the printer via the network, there is also the option to browse to the driver location. So my question is, where are the can I find the right driver on the OS ?
    Thanks in advance ,
    Tex

Reading your first post it sounds like the method you used to connect to the shared printer may have been incorrect.
When a Mac is sharing a printer, to add this printer on another Mac, you select the Default browser view. You should see the printer name followed by Shared in this view. When you select it, there should be no requirement to browse for a printer model. The queue should just be created with minimal driver options.
If you want to have all the features of the MP520 available to your Mac, then you need to install the same driver on your Mac as what is being used by the Mac sharing the printer. Check this carefully as Canon offers two drivers for Mac OS X and you can also use the free Gutenprint driver set for the MP520. If you open System Preferences > Print & Fax on the sharing Mac, select the printer in the list and look at the Kind section of the right hand pane, the driver version will be displayed. With a bit of luck the driver that was used to install on this Mac might still be available so that you can install it on your Mac.
Note also that you don't have to add the printer queue to your Mac to print to a shared Mac printer. From the majority of applications, when you select to print, you should find a Shared Printer option in the print dialog > Printer menu. This can be beneficial if you don't have a requirement to add this printer to your list, such as when you are visiting someone with Mac's. This doesn't sound like your situation but wanted to make you and others you read this aware of this fact.

  • Printer Dialog for Canon S9000 Printer

I dug out my large format Canon S9000 printer and am having trouble color correcting the photographic prints. Part of the trouble seems to be that in OS 10.6 I don't seem to be able to get the printer dialog box from the printer utility. When you go into the printer driver all you get is Canon S9000 in the box and I don't seem to be able to get into change any of the driver settings. Can anyone help? Thanks.

    spinosaurus wrote:
I did download the latest driver for the S9000 available, although it is updated I believe only through OS X v10.5 and not 10.6.
The driver update is for 10.6. If you have v10.36.2.0 installed then at least there should be some level of comparison between my setup and yours.
I talked to Canon support and they told me that Apple writes the printer drivers for the OS systems and not them.
This is not true. Canon creates the drivers and provides them to Apple so that it they are available via Software Update.
Since you are using the same driver from Canon, maybe you could answer some of the following questions: What color space do you use for importing your photograph, sRGB, AdobeRGB, ProRGB, etc.? What color space do you use for viewing your photograph? Do use any ICC print profiles to print?
For the photo that I used to test, it was taken on my Canon EOS7D and imported using Image Capture. The Get Info for the photo shows the colour space as RGB and the colour profile as sRGB IEC61966-2.1.
For printing I selected the Canon profile to match the Canon Photo Plus Glossy, which is shown as GL3/SG3 in ColorSync. When PS was managing the colour this was selected via the PS print dialog > printer profile. When I selected the printer to manage, I used the Quality & Media tab to select the paper which in turn sets the profile, as seen in the Color Options menu.

  • No printer code for my D110a printer

I am unable to find the printer code on my d110a printer. Wireless services are enabled on the printer. The code (email address) does not print out or show on the panel. Web services are enabled and I have no problems printing from my laptops?
When I try to download apps. The printer indicates it cannot connect to the network??? I've tried reinstalling the printer with the same results?

    Mandybear:
You need to update the firmware on your printer.
    Go to:
Setup>Preferences and select Product Updates...this will cause the unit to search for and download a firmware update.
Allow that update and you should have no problems enabling Web Services.
When you enable web services an info sheet will print out...go to the ePrintCenter web site, create an account, and add your printer to your account using the printer code on the left side of the info sheet.   Do that within 24 hours of the info sheet printing out.  If you do it later that 24 hours you'll need to reprint the info sheet to re-enable the printer code for adding it to your account.
Once you've added your printer you can configure ePrint, and add/remove/re-order, and configure print apps on your printer.

  • Bonjour won't let me select an Apple print driver for an HP printer

I am trying to print from a Windows XP machine to an HP Photoshop 7350 printer attached to my Power Mac G4 using a wireless connection. However, when I try to assign an Apple color print driver in Bonjour Printer Wizard to the HP Photosmart 7350 printer, the Printer Wizard only allows me to select print drivers from the manufacturer HP.
How can I get Bonjour Printer Wizard to let me assign Apple drivers? I know they are somewhere on the XP machine, because I was able to use them in the Printer Wizard with a different printer (an older Apple Personal Laserwriter).

Hi Stephen. I think the easiest thing would be to
download the Bonjour 1.0.2 beta release from the
    Apple web site.
    http://www.apple.com/bonjour/
That release should have this problem fixed, and the
Printer Wizard will automatically select Generic
Postscript in your case which should allow you to
    print. Hope that helps.
    PowerBook G4 Mac OS X (10.4.3)
I've got the latest Bonjour on my XP machine and I'm attempting to print to an Epson SCX4600 on my Mac. I selected the default Generic PS. The test print goes to the CX4600 queue - attempts to print but doesn't and just stops the queue. I tried to start the queue and the same thing happens over. Any ideas?

Currently i have just setup a printer in SAP successfully.
But as this printer is a color laser printer, the printouts are in colors.
Is there any settings which i can set it to monochrome?

    Chong,
    Could you check this?
Run SPAD transaction. Enter your Output device name(Printer name) and hit enter.
Under the 'Output Attributes' tab , see if the checkbox 'Color printer' is checked.
If checked, uncheck it and try printing.
