802.1x tab inaccessible/grayed out; 10.6.3

I'm observing some very strange behavior coming from the network control panel in 10.6.3; restarting the computer does alleviate the symptoms.
Clicking the 'Network' button won't even take me to the network control panel; I have to click 'Show all' and then click network again before being presented all the network connections.
When I click the 802.1x tab it becomes grayed out, and nothing happens (it won't present any of the configuration options in 802.1x and stays on the tab you were on previously).

any ideas? This is really annoying, I can't connect to my school's network.

Try removing the file ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist (back it up first). If that doesn't help, file a bug report.

IMovie share tab fully grayed out, how do you unlock this function to post?

I cannot share/post any iMovie projects to any of the export options such as Mobile Me or Media Browser, the entire tab is grayed out and not usable. How do I fix this, I went back and re-registered the copy of iLife with no change. Please help.

Services Dependencies tab is grayed out

We just found that our 2 clients (windows 7 prof. SP1) have services's dependencies tab is grayed out for all services on services.msc
So It might be a cause, we can't install "Solarwinds WMI provider 2.0.2207.2" by WSUS server and Get Error 800B0109 in windows update.
So, I would like to fix services's dependencies tab is grayed out to make sure that it isn't a cause I can't install Solarwinds WMI provider 2.0.2207.2
I've tried to rebuild WMI repositories and any solutions for solving Error 800B0109 but not success :(

So it has been 2 days since I posted this problem to the forum and there has been no response. Adobe customer service at it's finest! In the meantime I've research other forums regarding this issue and it turns out those users never received a response on how to fix the issue either. Yesterday I also spent 2 hours on the phone with the reseller of the product uninstalling and reinstalling acrobat and LiveCycle multiple times with no success. If this was Microsoft or any other well known software vendor I would have received a response directly from the vendor on the issue. I am starting to lose all confidence in Adobe's ability to provide support for their products. This is coming from an employee of a company that has hundreds of purchased licenses of Acrobat and other creative products from Adobe.

"Open all in tabs" is grayed out on all Live Bookmarks

I subscribe to several RSS feeds through Live Bookmarks, but on the right-click menu for each, the "Open all in tabs" option is always grayed-out. How can I make it functional again?

You will have to use a feed reader extension to have this feature.

Apps on the apps tab are grayed out

I can no longer move my apps around and make changes from within iTunes. Did a recent upgrade eliminate this functionality? Anyone know why they would be slightly grayed out?

Same problemo. I don't know when it started for me though. I moved to a new computer a couple of months ago; I upgraded iTunes this morning and the apps screen was all greyed out. When I click on "Sync Apps" it gives a warning that all of my data will be wiped out. What it doesn't say is if they will ALL be wiped out immediately, SOME will be wiped out immediately, or individually IF and WHEN I sync them.
I see a bunch of different threads all with the same issue floating around the 'net.
I thought perhaps the newest iTunes software won't allow icons to be moved around on the old iOS, so I upgraded the phone and still no luck. Now I'm off to re-boot everything a few times.
This is NOT as smooth as Windows 7. LOL

Songs 'get info' tab is grayed out

I cannot change the titles/artists on multiple songs in my library. I can on others, though. How do I fix this?

I have the same issue - all fields are greyed out.

I cannot delet my history. The options on the pull down tab are grayed out and don not respond

I pull down the history tab and when I mouse over them nothing happens. Also the Ad block plus add on does not seem to work anymore on the new ads. Is there an update I'm missing it's one of the greatest I've ever known.

Undo close tab is grayed out and I can't click on it.

I am not sure when it happened, but I can no longer use this function and It was very useful. I am very frustrated that I can no longer use it.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

What is the Compatibility Tab grayed out for applications on some network shares, but not others?

I have a network share with an executable file located in it. If I browse to the share by UNC path from a Windows 7 pro workstation and go to the compatibility tab of the .exe, the options are grayed out.
I have another network share with an executable file located on it. This share and workstation are at a different location, unrelated to the first example. If I browse to the share by UNC path from a Windows 7 pro Workstation and go to the compatibility
tab of the .exe file, the options are not grayed out, and I can check or uncheck what ever I need to.
Both shares are located on a Server 2008 R2 system w/sp1. Both workstations are joined to the same domain as the server they are connecting to the UNC path on. Both shares have given the user connecting full access on the smb sharing and ntfs sharing.
Someone please tell me how to make the compatibility tab not grayed out. Here is a screen shot of the comapatibility tab of the .exe file from both shares:

Thanks, but I read that link before I posted this. Even by running the compatibility wizard, you still can't edit the compatibility settings on Windows 7.

Edit Live Page View in New Tab Grayed Out

I've been looking forward to use using Dreamweaver CS5 to edit dynamic sites. One of the things I thought would really save time was being able to navigate to a dynamic page in live view and then edit it, instead of using File/Open, but when I browse to a page, the Edit the Live View Page in a New Tab is Grayed Out. Any help?

According to your description, my understanding is that you needed to check out the document again when open a document which was checked out by yourself and received the error that the document was locked by yourself.
I tested the same scenario per your post, and I got the same results as you got.
I recommend to use the following method to call DispEX (utilizing open document add-on) which is directed to document relative URL instead of using the direct link:

Import Tab grayed out in Aperture 3.1

Hi folks, need some help:
When I try to import a .jpg from SDHC or HDD into an existing project in my library, the import tab will gray out and is no more selectable. It is no more possible to switch to the library or to chose another button in the toolbar. I need to close the application and open again to work with.
Steps to Reproduce:
Import photos from SDHC-Card with integrated Card Reader or from HDD in a already existing Project, add some metadata-settings during import. Repeat the step several times and always import in a existing project and the the import-tab will gray out. So it is no more possible to move over the library.
I have tried:
- Repair permissions
- Aperture 3: Basic Troubleshooting
I am using:
- Mac OS X 10.6.4, current updates
- Aperture 3.1 clean install
- Latest Pro-Kit-Updates
Are there other people having the same GUI-bug like I do? Or is there maybe a solution? I am looking forward to your answers.

@Adrian Wackernah: I also have the same issues, but this issue ain't so big for me. My current issue with a grayed out import tab seems to be much worse. But thanks a lot for your answer.
@Gary: I also work with shortcut cmd-i to enter or leave the import-window. But I have never tried with <esc>-key to leave to import-window, if the import tab grays out. I will give it a try when I reproduce the bug again.
I also have opened a case at Apple Care Pro Apps Support Europe. I have send them the System Profiler and a screen-recording of the issue. So I need to wait until Apple has done their troubleshooting and analysis.

Why is the lyrics tab grayed out?

I have a Taylor Swift song I was going to add some lyrics to, but the tab is grayed out. Anyone know why? This song was imported from a CD.

Yes, I tried it again by seeing the song in the main library as opposed to seeing it in a playlist. Again, the lyrics tab was grayed out. I was able to see the tab, however, when I did a "get info" for one of her music videos I have.

I recently had to move all my music to an external hard drive. All my music plays, but when I right click Get Info, the info, video, sorting, and options tabs are grayed out.
