808 reboots itself randomly

My 808 reboots itself randomly and without any user input. This happens every now and then. Sometimes goes a couple of days without problem, sometimes it restarts couple of times a day. This mornig, for example, I was using Maps and Public Transport apps to find my way to work. When I got to office, I put the phone avay for a few minutes and during that time it had restared itself, while being in my pocket and screen lock on. All I managed to see was the white dot animation, which is shown at early stages of the startup, followed by home screen icons loading one by one.
Device had and still has no third party apps or background services running. In fact, only apps I had used recently were offical release versions made by Nokia and downloaded from Nokia Store.
Nokia should really get their act together and improve software quality of the both firmware and utilites running on top of it.

hi guys,
I have cut down many sim cards to microsim size, and many I have found still have a metal contact point at the edge of the card. If this is the case for you, then you can run into problems as the sim card holder is also metal and might short the contacts.. just a thought.
Whilst we're on the subject of cards, the recommend classification for memory cards is Class 6 in this device (as documented in the user guide). If you're having issues with the device, and are using slower memory cards, please take out the memory card and see if this improves the situation.
Thanks, Craig

  • System reboot itself randomely and black sreen

I have this MB (Bios 7.6, Msi K7N2 DELTA ILSR (M6570)) since Dec 2003 without problems, very stable.Last week i decide to upgrade Bios (7.8) and at that point pc was booting itself randomely also geting some blackscreen....
I re-install Xp, i re-flash Bios back to 7.6 and still getting the same problems.
If someone have some advice or any hint. Please let me know. Thanks....

System reboots might be attributed to various factors like Memory, PSU and software crashes.
Well to start off disable the system restart option in Startup & recovery option in system properties. To reach there :
Right Click My Computer->Advanced->startup and recovery
    Uncheck restart computer on error
Now After doing the above step will come to know if any application or drivers are causing a reboot. You will usually get a memory dump and name of the file causing the dump.
Secondly check for system temps, are any of the fans noisy?? not working???
Check the idle and load temps
feel the air coming out of the PSU exhasut, is it mild warm or really cooked up??
Last but not the least check whether this occurs in any particular application/game or whether you can reproduce the crash/reboot. This will provide insight to resolving the problem quickly and effectively.
    hope this helps
    Thanks

  • IPad 4 (wifi+cellular) reboots itself randomly in apps.

Hi guys, I recently bought an iPad 4 and I've noticed the iPad 4 tends to reboot itself when I'm in applications, especially in high demanding memory apps like games or safari and even the apple store!
I bought it from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from an authorised apple store (premium seller) 2 days ago, but now I'm in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. And from what I've researched, Malaysia doesn't have applestores with genius bars like Australia does (where I'm from).
Today is the 3nd day since I've got it, was on IOS 6.0.1 when it kept rebooting so i upgraded it to IOS 6.1.3 (latest version) but the problem still persists, if anything, it's happening more frequently.
I've tried restoring it, soft rebooting it, nothing seems to work.
    Any suggestions??
    Luke

    Try this:
    1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
    2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

My HP C4795 keeps rebooting itself randomly. I have it sitting there with the power on and suddenly it will beep, the screen goes black and the HP logo and loading line appears, it does this a few times over and over before it fully loads back to its menu screen. Pretty much does this daily randomly far as I can tell throughout the day. Any help or advice on this is greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time.

  • 3020 concentrator reboots itself

We have a 3020 concentrator that reboots itself randomly once or twice a week. We have had this problem for quite some time. Is there some system logs that would show why as we dont' see it in the regular logs. running 4.7.2.F-k8.10 code.

The concentrator makes the decision to send traffic out to the corresponding tunnel based on the network list defined or on the remote network definition under the lan to lan setup. Static routes are not really needed since it will route based on the default gateway.

Recovery Mode is your last resort per the instructions here.  Also, read this.

Yes, Andy is right, I overlooked that: you MUST use absolute correct specs for Apple macbooks, and your 1333MHz is not the right spec. Luckily 2x4GB 1066Mhz is very cheap, change the modules. Use Crucial (they have a configurator) or OWC.

  • IPhone 3Gs rebooting itself now stuck on boot

    Hello,
I've had my iPhone 3Gs since February 2010 making it as of this post 1 year old and 3 months over warrantee. Last week my iPhone started randomly turning off and on again and it was happening a few times each day. It began to reboot itself more frequently, to the point where I couldn't use the phone because it would turn off mid text-message and during phone calls. I grew frustrated and decided to put it into recovery mode to restore the phone, as people on these discussion threads recommended with no luck, it was giving me an error code 29 right when it got to the part to upgrade the firmware (I believe it didn't make it to this point because the phone would turn off). I tried this several times when finally it worked! I restored my iPhone and loaded the backup I had made and charged the phone up and went about my day. As the battery drained it turned on and off more frequently and then went from 30% to 3%. It now will not charge whatsoever on the charger, or through my MacBookPro. It will not boot up at all, but flashes the apple logo then turns black and it keeps doing this over and over. Itunes won't even recognize the iPhone as being connected to my computer.
I don't know what to do. I have never jailbroken this iPhone or tampered with it in any way, and I'm very disappointed that this product is showing such huge issues after only a year of use. Right now my iPhone is completely unusable and I'm hoping that somebody has an answer for me to fix this.

On My iPhone 3GS started with iOS 4.3 and 5.0 did not improve even with the 5.0.1. When started, the device shut down at around 43% battery. Every 2 or 3 weeks the problem got worse ... 53%, 65%, 75%, 86%, 96%, 98% and 100% now it can be turned off.
I realized that if I use the internet through the 3G off at around 98%. If you use the internet through wi-fi, off at around 86%. If you use 3D games off even faster. The first shutdown can be restored by resetting the system (home + power). But after the second or third, it asks to connect to an electrical outlet, the battery even when it was full. If you make a small charge, enough to start the system will turn off at the next mark (percentages cited above). I started using the iPhone always connected to an electrical outlet (house or car).
Recently I made a painful test: I turned off the 3G, wifi and data transmission; stopped to use all the features of the iPhone, except for calls and SMS. The GPS was on, but I did not use any application that needed it. As a result, the battery lasted about 4 days and declined up to 6% (when it fell during a call). I was very glad to review the battery alerts (20% and 10%) after so many months. Then I waited 1 or 2 hours and recharged the phone to 100%. I noticed that charging was much slower than what was occurring before (and remains so since then). But until now I did not notice a difference in the problem.
Other users with the same problem say revert to factory settings did not fix the problem. There are no Apple Stores in my country, only representatives and mobile phone carriers, but the assurance of my iPhone expired in May 2011, in addition, here we have the iPhone 4S world's most expensive (between US$ 1419 and US $ 1,855), the which means buying another iPhone is a last option. Buy another battery would be easier, but I question: if the problem is the battery, why work properly when does not was required 3G, Internet, games or gps?
It would be nice if Apple responded something like "we are aware of the problem and are working on it." At least we could hope to keep until the next update.

  • My Macbook Pro *****! I have had it for 2 weeks now, got it brand new at the apple store, it freezes all the time, and reboots itself, sometimes when i start it, purple dots cover the screen and i have to hold the power button.

I have had it for 2 weeks now, got it brand new at the apple store, it freezes all the time, and reboots itself, sometimes when i start it, purple dots cover the screen and i have to hold the power button. a 2 week old computer is not supposed to do this! it wastes all its time being so flashy that it just craps out all the time. sometimes i feel like i should have stayed with my virus covered PC. at least when it shut down randomly you could turn it back on, but with the macbook pro, it just keeps restarting itself over and over. need help with this, any answers?

Here's a novel thought. Take it back to the vendor. Should have done that one week ago.

1st my phone was frozen after the update and I had to request a replacement phone.
2nd the replacement phone randomly just reboots, whether I am using it or not.
The battery barley stays charged even when it's on the charger.  I have all the data syncs off
I can't update my apps because the phone says it does not have network access., but I can make call and send text messages.
very upset about this, verizon should have tested the update further before pushing it out.  there was nothing wrong with my original phone, now I h ave a large paper weight that has to stay hooked to the charger.

        Hi alval!
I am sorry to learn of the rebooting issues with your phone after the latest software update. Let's get your phone our the paper weight mode and back into the awesome wireless device that it is! I had similar issues with my phone after the latest software update and I resolved all issues by doing a factory reset http://vz.to/TZvgLF as this clears any third party applications conflicts and any potential system errors created while processing update. Make sure to back up all your important media before doing factory reset as this process deletes all media and bring phone back to original state. Keep us posted.

  • Nano keeps rebooting itself while updating

So, whenver the ipod first sets itself up, renames itself, etc., everything seems fine. I then start loading songs onto it and it seems to be going fine, until it randomly reboots itself. And when windows recognizes it again, the corrupt file ballon pops up. itunes now recognizes it as a generic IPOD, not the renamed one from setup. And it says there's anywhere from 200 to 600 mbs used up on the ipod, but there's nothing on the thing. So I restore it... and it goes through the same process all over again. So I uninstall both itunes and the updater, reinstall, restore... do the five rs thing untill the cows come home, same thing every time. Reformat the ipod with the hp utility? Sure, doesn't help. Nothing I've been able to find on this forum or apple's support site is of any help.
I already returned one nano for this same problem. The second one keeps doing the same thing. So you would think its my computer, right? That is, except for the fact that my wife's nano works just fine with no problems whatsoever. What the heck is going on with this thing? Could it be a bad batch of nanos? Should I bring this one back and try a third?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

i had the same problem ... and came across it again.
try disabling windows write cache it worked for me during a while : http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1819756,00.asp

  • Storm keeps rebooting itself then says low battery

My BlackBerry keeps rebooting itself at random times. After it reboots, it says it has a low battery. The battery is usually fully charged when it does this. It's annoying when I'm watching a video on YouTube or talking with a friend. I don't know what to do anymore!

    Hi,
You can try and remove the battery and allow your device to perform a hard reboot.  Next, try to update your PRL by calling *228 and selecting option 2.  Last, you can try to resend your service books.  Go to Email Settings, press the Menu Key and select Service Books the select Resend Service Books.  Hope this helps.

  • IPad 2 Reboots Itself.

    Hi,
I have an iPad 2 Wifi 16GB model. I have had the iPad 2 since launch date although, this is my secound one. I've had this one for quite some time. Lately it has started to randomly reboot itself no matter what I am doing. At first I thought the cause was a bad app because I had just bought a couple new ones, but the problem persisted after the apps were removed. Today, my iPad 2 turned off, then the Apple Logo was displayed with a loading bar underneath. It keeps turning off and reverting to the Apple Logo and reloading bar however, the bar never fills past 1/10 of itself before it turns off again. I am in the process of restoring it but iTunes insists that I update my iPad 2 before restoring when I already have the current 5.0.1 software installed. My MacBook says it will take 2hrs and my PC says 3hrs. If anyone else has some advice on what steps I could take in resolving this issue, I would be greatly appreciative.

If its under warranty, you can request a new iPad. I did. But the problem didn't go away!
After a factory reset and hardware replacement, I believe it's a software issue. Some background service seems to be crashing or triggering a reboot. No specific apps seem to trigger it, although some video apps are more prone to the issue.
Apple Genius have no clue how to resolve it...
