8200 elite Parallel port not run

Hi to all,
On my elite8200 I can not run the LPT port on my windows7 64bit port with the address but F0E0 wrong with the management software for a CNC machine.
In the bios (updated) I can only edit the IRQ of the serial port (it looks like prunes A) For the parallel port can only choose between Standard ECC + ESP etc..
Does anyone know help me?
thank you very much

Perhaps a more complete model number would help.  In looking with that  limited model number there are several listed, even an AIO unit.  In the models such as the small form factor model, there is no parallel port ( which is normally  LPT ) shown.  What actual output port is being addressed as the LPT?

    I have installed labview 2010 in windows XP.
    The problem what I am facing is I could not find "Serial & Parallel port" option in Measurement and automation explorer.
    After seeing the similar problem in forum I have installed Ni-Daqmx 9.0.2.  But still I can not see the ports in MAX.
    I think i have attached enough document .
    If the parallel port is not detected in MAX can we send digital data to parallel port.
    I have tested parallel port with LED connecting one leg in 1st data line(pin 2) and another in gnd(pin 25).
    And my program is to blink the led for every one second but I cannot see the blinking.
    Can anyone help in this regards

  • Voltage out from parallel port

    Hi there,
    I want to use the parallel port to run a relay.
    I do not understand the example given by labview. I also read the forum but I did not see what I am looking for.
    I am kindly asking if some one can write a small program ( I use labview 8.5) so I can give a 5v out say to pin #2.
    Thank you in advance

    Please tell us more why you struggle, this is not good enough
    Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted

  • How can i write a vi in using parallel port for digital inputs

    Dear all,
    i am a beginner user of LabVIEW and i want to write a vi in using parallel port for digital I/O. After reading the article "Using the Parallel Port in LabVIEW
    " and download the parallel.zip, i know how to write the vi for output, but i still don't know how to write the input one.i've try to use a Inport.vi to test, but nothing change when i set pin2-9 to high. (my computer:win2K & LabVIEW 6.1)
    Can anybody teach me how to write it?
    Can anyone write the vi for me too?
    Thanks all!
    p.s.i've already install the "accessHW.exe"

    Are you using VISA or the accessHW VIs? You may need to goto the bios and set the parallel port to run in spp mode or standard mode. This is the simpliest configuration and where you should start.
    As far as writing the VI goes, just copy the diagram out of the tutorial you mentioned.

  • Can digital I/O lines emulate a parallel port?

    BACKGROUND:
    I am writing a VI that needs to sample multiple analog channels at high speeds (~2 msec) while simultaneously receiving byte-sized codes transmitted from a second computer (from either it's serial port or parallel port). These other posts of mine might help you get a better idea of what I'm doing:
    http://exchange.ni.com/servlet/Redirect?id=1052290
    http://exchange.ni.com/servlet/Redirect?id=1057299
    THE PROBLEM:
    I need a way to receive these codes at the same high sample rate that the analog channels are being sampled with, and they need to be on the same timing signal (so I know when the codes arrived relative to the analog data). Thus I can't use the built in serial or parallel ports, since the timing would
    be inaccurate at such high speeds.
    MY QUESTION:
    Is there an established way to make the digital I/O lines on a NI daq board receive codes from a serial or parallel port? I am using a PCI-6033e, so if I can just use the digital I/O lines on that board, that would be ideal. However, I would also be willing to buy a sepparate digital I/O board that could be linked (for timing purposes) via an RTSI bus, and use that to receive the bytes from the second computer.
    Any ideas for a software or hardware solution to this problem?
    Thanks,
    Zach Crittendon

    Thanks, Filipe. That's pretty much what I expected as far as the PCI-6033 card was concerned.
    However, one thing I failed to mention was that the host computer can only use its standard built-in serial or parallel port, not an NI DIO card (the signals are coming from antequated software that can't realistically be ported to use an NI card).
    So...is there a way to take a parallel-port signal from the host computer and have an NI DIO card on the client computer receive it? (Presumably after passing through some sort of adapter, if necessary.) If so, what sort of DIO card should I look at?
    Thanks again,
    Zach Crittendon

    You run Windows in Parallels or Fusion. Then in Windows you install the program.

  • Do the 8200 elite CMT motherboard SATA ports support SATA port multipliers?

    I have an HP-Compaq 8200 elite CMT. I'd like to expand my SATA connection capacity using a SATA port multiplier. Specfications for most of them indicate they work only with motherboards that support the SATA PM / port multiplier feature. Does my motherboard support PM?

    Paul,
    You have one of the models.
    Most Intel PCs that I have come across don't support SATA port multipliers except for MACs.

  • Parallel port programming for a Sun Ultra 5 running Solaris 8

    Hi I'm trying to look for information about reading/writing to the parallel port of a Sun Ultra 5 running Solaris 8. I'd just like to see some basic programs written in C, nothing fancy, just reading and wrting to the port, getting the port address etc. toggling the lines.
    I've tried searching for this information and there is plenty of information about PC parallel port programming with windows or Linux. But there seems to be little for Sun's
    I've tried doing 'man ecpp' but that doesn't really give any clear example. What I need is an idiots guide.
    I've tried searching this Forum and I see that other people have asked the same question before but no one has replied to them. Why is this?
    Thanks if you can help.
    fishman.

    The key is gettting the port into diag mode. Here's a quickly little example that turns all the data pins on and then turns them off:
    #include <sys/types.h>
    #include <sys/conf.h>
    #include <sys/stat.h>
    #include <unistd.h>
    #include <stropts.h>
    #include <fcntl.h>
    #include <stdio.h>
    #include <sys/ecppio.h>
    int fd = 0;
    // ecpp structures
    ecpp_transfer_parms etp;
    ecpp_regs eregs;
    // returns -1 if error otherwise returns fd
    int openoutput()
    fd = open("/dev/ecpp0",O_RDWR);
    if (fd==-1) { return -1; }
    // default is 90
    etp.write_timeout = 10;
    // the big secret
    etp.mode = ECPP_DIAG_MODE;
    ioctl(fd,ECPPIOC_SETPARMS,&etp);
    return fd;
    unsigned char in()
    unsigned char data;
    // from the man pages
    ioctl(fd,ECPPIOC_GETREGS,&eregs);
    data = eregs.dsr;
    return data;
    void out( unsigned char data )
    write(fd,&data,1);
    int main( void )
    int dummy;
    openoutput();
    //all data pins on
    out( 255 );
    scanf("%d", &dummy);
    //all data pins off
    out( 0 );
    scanf("%d", &dummy);
    close( fd );
    return 0;
    }

    Hi,
    Sorry for the delay,
    I need to know more informations about your problem. Have you check the configuration of LPT in MAX? Can you open a VISA session? Do you receive a timeout error when you try to write on that port?
    You can find same importants informations about parallel port configuration for different versions of LabVIEW at this link:

    Hi, dear all,
    I am looking for a method to send 10-bit word data to AD8403 Digital Potentiometer from PC’s Serial/Parallel Port or DAQ card.
    Is it possible to implement such a communication with LabVIEW?
    Are thee ready VIs for this application?

    There are some vi's that should work for you for the parallel port. However it has been communicated that with windows after 98 it's a little bit more complex...
    I add a llb I downloaded from this forum a while ago that should perfectly fit your need (if you get it to work :-)
