8220 and software v. 4.6 issues

I recently had a JUM/JVM 545 error and had to reinstall my BB's software. I installed the newer 4.6.0.180 software for the phone which was reccommeded by my desktop manager software for the Mac.
Since the upgrade I have had a few issures I would like to have resolved. None affect the phone's operation (except for maybe the first one) but they are a nusiance and an inconvenience,
1. My battery drains more quickly due to fact that the front stays lit while in my belt case. I almost always had to "wake up" my phone when I removed it from my belt case before the upgrade. (same phone, same case as before the upgrade)
2. Before the update, the clock was displayed on front of the phone, now the T-Mobile logo is there. I would like to have the clock back on the front.
3. I no longer have alert sounds/vibrations when I receive a text or email, and the new text/email alert does not display on the front of the phone like it did before the upgrade.
Are there fixes for these? Was the v.4.6 software designed more for traditional Blackberries and not the flip phone. (It is almost like the software doesn't know what to do with the front screen.)

Sometimes walking away from a problem for a little bit helps. As it turns out, the upgrade process to 4.6.0.180 wiped some of the data from prior to the upgrade but not all. Some material was left from an install of Pocket Informant for Blackberry.
Solution was to go to [Options]-->[Advanced Options]-->[Applications] and delete the non-Blackberry files (in this case, the Pocket Informant left over material). Save and Exit, reboot and problem disappears.

Major Sync and software update issue with windows 7 and iphone

Loved my iPhone 3g and love my 4.0! My only concern is syncing and software updates are sporadic.
When I first purchased and sync'd my 3g on my laptop, that I had since 2005 w/XP home 64bit, it would constantly (1 out of 5 times) show phone was disconnected and could not sync. Purchased a desktop, 2009 w/Vista 64bit (same issue mentioned continued) then upgraded to windows 7 64bit (same issue mentioned continued).
Both pc's are authorized and contain the same apps and software. I went through all trouble shooting steps (authorize/deauthorize, phone hard boot, sync w/airplane mode on and/or off, uninstall and or reinstall iTunes, etc...) when both phones would brick after software updates on both pc's.
The last software update 4.0 and most recent 4.2.1 went well on laptop with XP and no longer shows sync issue. The problem continues on the windows 7 and backup has completed successfully 3 times.
Long story short, I have to pray the laptop never dies because iTunes, syncing and software updates on XP works now! The problem with software update, backups and syncing persists on windows 7.
* I was able to apply 4.2.1 software update on XP and then connect to windows 7 to sync and backup successfully. I then disconnected/reconnected iphone to windows 7 and problem happened again, unable to sync phone was disconnected error message.

I would recommend the steps in the article below. See the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.

You can either upgrade to Lightroom 5.4 or later, or use the free Adobe DNG Converter version 8.6 to convert your RAW photos to DNG, which then will import into Lightroom 4.

Some issue with appstore and software update

I have some issues with app store and software update.
Sometime App Store report that it was available software update for Mac OS X ML. When I enter in App Store to upgrade something goes wrong and I cannot do anything.
If I close and open again App Store, it start to look for update and aftware 5-10 seconds App Store reports that there aren't update available.
I take a look in /var/log/install.log and I found this:

Back up all data.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.

I'm trying to re-activate my software because of "repair" issues. I have had it for 6 years and when I logged in today, it suddenly said that I needed to re-activate within 5 days. It won't allow me to do it online due to an error so it said that I needed to call and activate, but then when I called it said to go online to adobe/go/activate, which I did and have entered my serial number, but it also wants a request code and I don't know what to put there. Please help???

The request code is something that PS generates when you ask it to do the Phone activation, right? Isn't there a choice on PS when you try to activate that is to not do it online and to use a phone call and there is also a button to press to generate a request code. I don't have any way to try this myself, anymore, but I seem to remember something like that happening long ago.

Noooo! Actually I too had d same prob wit my iPhone 4S. When I connect to my wifi network it won't get connected or it wil be grey scaled! I took it to d istore and since I had warranty they replaced my IPhone. It iPad charger has high volt than ur iPhone charger so when u connect wit it, there is a chance where large amount of current passes thru ur iPhone. So for sure it wil damage ur motherboard and its parts! Many said that iOS 6 or 6.0.1 or 6.1 was d reason for tis wifi prob! But apple never made its mistake wit it's software. If and only if u hav hardware prob u wil hav these sort of wifi prob Bluetooth prob! So best way s to replace ur iPhone!

from when I update my system with Windows 8 Pro I can' t use the printer Hp Deskjet 2050 J510a.
I downloaded the latest version of drivers and software for Windows 8 Pro 64 bit:
DJ2050_J510_Basicx64_1313.exe
The application give me at the and of installation the message:
"installation not completed"
and in details I can see:
"Installation error. Operative system not supported. This software can be installed only in Windows XP, Vista, Seven. Change operative system or install the printer in another computer."
The printer as been recognized from the system, and in panel control I can see it, but when I print any page the printer make only half print and than show me a message of " not original or used printer cartridges, press OK to continue or cancel do delate the print" but the print cannot be completed untill the end.
Cartridges are original; I tested the the printer too in an another computer with different operative system: the printer work correctly.

Maybe this can help someone else... I simply had to properly uninstall CS3 and reinstall it again after that. I think that sorted it! I also remember having a similar issue with Macs at work a couple of years back. Not sure whether the same applies to CS5/CS6. 1. It depends on what Mac model you have. If it's incapable of running Yosemite, installing an intermediate version won't help with that.
2. You'll lose the ability to run PowerPC software, and some other programs may also be incompatible. If something goes wrong, you might lose data; back your computer up first. There aren't any issues specifically associated with skipping versions.

When in recovery mode you can't backup the iPod.
You will have to restore via iTunes. See:

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Vista to XP Driver and Software install N200 0687

Here's a guide I wrote up while I installed XP onto my laptop, it's been used by a few of my friends. It's specifically for the N200 0687 A31 but as a general guide it's best to install drivers and software in chronological order based on the date of the files on the lenovo site.
XP doesn't recognize the hard drive under AHCI so first enter the bios by
pressing F1 at boot and enter the Bios so you can change the SATA
Controller Mode from "AHCI" to "Compatibility". While your there make sure
in the boot order the CDrom is first. Put XP disk in drive and reboot.
Delete the Vista install.(If you want to delete the hidden partition and you're smart you've generated recovery disks in case Vista service packs make it worth reinstalling)
Install XP and Service Pack 2
Read the text file associated with each driver to know how to deal with each extracted
package, and note the directory the files are extracted to. Cancel any "Hardware
Update Wizard" windows that pop up.
Install in the following order:

                                and select install. Probably not all are necessary.

I dont know what you mean by picture light!!!
If you want to use all Fn keys you will need different tools and utilities.
For example the FN+F3/F4 will not work if the power saver was not installed.
Also the FN+F5 will not work if display device change utility will be not installed.
As you can see, several applications are needed if you want to use the FN keys!!!
But as the above user has suggested already, the XP drivers are not available.
Maybe you can use some appellations designed fro another notebook series but this is only a tiny hope.
