You may need to reload the Blackberry Maps program using the Desktop Manager (installed on your PC). Also check it isn't hidden; in the apps list, press menu/blackberry button and click "show all". If the icon is hidden, it should show up. Scroll to it, press menu, and uncheck "Hide".

  • 8310 Curve does not connect at all

    Dear folks,
After trying 3 days to get my BB 8310 Curve connected to my network provider (I do have a data plan and internet plan) I´m a little bit upset.
    The problem:
I have all necessary data-plans and also registered my BB on the internet at the Web-Page (BIS?).
Ok, my handheld is also recognised and the system doesn´t complain.
But: on my handheld I can see only the word "edge" (in small letters - this shows that no data-plan is active as we know, but that´s not true) and not "EDGE" as it should be.
An even better suspicicous issue: I called with the hotline from my provider and he also could see within his database that my handheld is registered and all plans were active.
    So I tried following:
I inserted my SIM to another BB and it worked! (not so with my BB)
I also inserted another SIM from my colleague (who also uses a BB) and what happened? Nothing - also no connection.
So I assume that there´s somehow a bug in my handheld?
Has anybody an idea? I would very appreciate it.
    Thanks in advance,
    Andy
By the way, I have the latest OS:
    Package Version: 4.5.0.312
    Consisting of:
    * Applications: 4.5.0.187
    * Software Platform: 2.7.0.109

  • Creating a video to play on Blackberry 8310 Curve

I'm wondering if anybody has had any success creating a video to run on a
    blackberry, specifically the 8310 Curve.
I've gone to the blackberry site, looked at their specs on what type of formats it will run, and I've read the blackberry manual...but there is a whole menagerie of complex specs that is difficult to decifer...in otherwords, it's not as easy as it "will run a quicktime" or "mp4".
If anybody has successfully created a video using FCP or Quicktime Pro or Compressor to run on their blackberry, I'd be interested in hearing exactly what format you used and how you got there.
    Thanks.

  • Is the curves problem fixed?

I abandoned lightroom 4 when the curves problem was identified.
Is the curves problem really fixed in lightroom 4.1?
I have many images that I have modified in lightroom 3.6 with extreme curve adjustments. Will these images import correctly into lightroom 4.1

Hello Victoria, Thank you for your reply. I am looking forward to importing my catelog to Lightroom 4.1. This however poses another question. When I open LR4.1 it appears to use the same catelog as my LR3.6.
When I import my LR 3.6 catelog to LR4.1 will it convert the existing 3.6 catelog or make a new LR4.1 catelog?
If I wish to continuing having 3.6 available after converting to 4.1 Will different catelogs be maintained?
How do I import my entire 3.6 catelog if I did not do it when LR4.0 was originally installed?
Thank you in advance for your help.

  • Blackberry Curve Problems

I have a bb curve 8310. Recently it just froze on me. I bought new batteries, but it didnt solve it.. I charge it & everything, but still nothing. It only starts up to that loading page, & i really need to get my contacts out. How can I transfer them to my pc even though all i get is the loading screen on my phone?.

    Hello brsinchick
Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums
Please try to start your device on Safe Mode.If it allows you will be able to recover your contacts from the device.
KB17877  How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode.
If Safe Mode didn't work then you had to load your device OS and in that situation you will loss your data within the device. So try the Safe Mode and see if that helps.

  • Help required for Hilbert Space Filing Curve problem

Can someone suggest the algorithm for the following problem:
Given an N N array A, generate the index of each location A[i][j] according to Hilbert Space Filling curve. The Hilbert curve generates the indices recursively as follows - for a 2 2 square the numbering is
    2 3
    1 4
For a 2^i 2^i array, the array is first partitioned into 4 subsquares of 2^(i-1) 2^(i-1). Then the indices of each sub-square is generated recursively such that the lower-left array has the lowest indices followed by upper-left array and then the upper-right and the lower-right array. Moreover, consecutive indices should be in neighbouring squares. For a 4 4 array, the indices are
    6 7 10 11
    5 8 9 12
    4 3 14 13
    1 2 15 16
    Thanks

I'd recommend one that features recursion.
This IS the algorithm. You've been given it. You either don't understand it or can't code it.
I'd start wih a Matrix class that would make it easy to do the partitioning into submatricies. Then I'd write a method that would take a Matrix as an argument and call it recursively until I reached my 2x2 Matrix stopping condition.
For a 4 4 array, the indices are
    6 7 10 11
    5 8 9 12
    4 3 14 13
    1 2 15 16
ThanksSounds like you've been given the algorithm, now all you have to do is implement. That's where you come in.

  • Is Wifi possible on the 8310 Curve?

    Hi,
I am in the UK.  My service provider is O2.  They tell me it should be possible to connect to my home Wifi.  There doesn't seem to be any option to do this on my phone.  Is this because this model (8310) does not have that capability?  Or am I missing something?
    Any help appreciated,
    John

  • 8330 curve problem

I have an 8330 curve that at various times the internal speaker shuts off or something....Something is causing the phone to shut down the internal speaker so when I dial the phone connects but I can not hear it dial or hear it ring...the only way I've found to fix the problem is to do a soft re-start(take the battery out). The first phone I had did it and I took it to Verizon and they said the phone was bad....now on 3rd phone....not the phone just something causing it. Help!!! Has this happened to anyone else? I've tried to narrow down what causes it---maybe going from car bluetooth (2009 Murano) to no bluetooth???? Just don't know and am very frustrated.....
Thanks for any help on this matter....

I'm not sure, and I am sure that you went around and around with it, having been through three phones.  But, are you sure your are actually going to "NO Bluetooth"?  Could the phone still be picking up and automatically staying connected to either your car bluetooth or some bluetooth headset that you have it paired with.  The bluetooth can and will work up to 30 feet away.  In fact, I use a stereo headset around the house and leave the phone in my bedroom on charger and can walk 50 feet away, with walls between me and the phone before I start losing the signal and sound begins cutting out (just example of how some of the BT signals are).  Did you try disabling the bluetooth on your device in your 'settings' to see if the phones internal speaker then works?

  • Need to fix some blackberry curve problems!

Hey, guys! I am new to this forum and need to find some answer for my Blackberry phone.
I have a Blackberry curve that seems to have some problems. Every time I attempt to plunge it on my computer, a card error would pop out and asks to format it for using. But, I still have some photos and videos that have not been backed up timely. Are they still recoverable? Do I have to format it? Do you know any way for me to firstly copy off all these photos and videos?

1). Do not format your Blackberry phone before you’ve recovered all your stored photos and videos back. In your case, the formatting process may erase everything on your phone memory card and make your data gone permanently.
2). Never save anything new on this phone memory card in case that any new file would rewrite your original data.
3). Plunge this phone to your computer and download professional phone memory card data recovery program to get back all your lost data back.
In fact, as I know, there are many similar data recovery tools that can help rescue inaccessible data back form a “Not Formatted” phone memory card, especially some phone memory card data recovery freeware, such as 4 Card Recovery Freeware, Recuva and TestDisk, etc.
4). Format this phone after the successful data recovery process to see whether the card problem can be fixed.
5). Never forget to back up everything important at least on two cards or drives in the future.
    Good luck!

  • Application Center on Curve problem

    Hello there,
I'm really looking for some advice to a problem I appear to be having with the Blackberry Application Center on the Curve 8520.
Each time I click the refresh button from within the center, I'm shown a message saying 'An error occured while updating the applicaton list: Error 404.' I've done a bit of research using Google but was unable to find any real help or advice on how to fix this problem.
I'm using my wifi connection at homw which is connected to a broadband connection. My Blackberry software version states: v5.0.0.592 (platform 5.2.0.64) if this is any help?
Is there anyway to fix this problem?
    Thank you

You have to make sure that the application files are added to the JAR file in the Packaging Wizard.
You can use the wsh utility to look in the repository to see if the app files are published.

  • Severe 8900 curve problems...

I purchased a 8900 curve off amazon and it was working fine for two months. Yesterday however, i had problems while entering my password to unlock the keypad. Although i entered the right password it repeatedly denied me access. I became fed up and removed the battery, hoping that this would solve my problems. When i put the battery back in nothing seemed to work anymore, and the only thing happening till now is the light flashing red in a certain sequence. I'm completely baffled about what to do so i would really appreciate some help.

  • Red LED message indicator light on 8310 curve

I bought a Blackberry Curve in November and the phone locked up on me last week.  It could not be fixed and since it was under warranty, they gave me a reconditioned model as a replacement.  I could swear that on my original Blackberry Curve when an email message came in the red light flashed until I opened the message.  On the replacement phone, the led flashes red but only for a few minutes and then it stops.  Is it suppose to stop flashing or continue until I open the email?  I'm not sure if the replacement phone is having a problem.  Thanks for your help.
