8320 Enterprise Email

Hi
Just got new 8320 from Orange, UK. Works great, setup the IMEI and PIN online, added my email account, all great. However, when I use the setup wizard on the phone, I have two options:
1) "I want to use work email account with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server"
2) "I want to skip email setup"
If I choose option #2, the email setup is skipped and doesnt work.
If I choose option # 1, it asks "Has your BlackBerry Enterprise Server administrator provided you with an Enterprise Activation Password?". We are not using enterprise, I just want email access. If I choose YES to this anyway, it does ask for my email address, and password, but also for the "Activation Server Address". It then fails (I leave the ASA blank)
Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated 

Not sure what you mean, I already registered at http://www.blackberry.orange.co.uk and successfully added the account, without problems....

    I have a new Mac Book Pro, I loaded my enterprise email on the system and it was working fine, but yesterday when I tried to send out an email I received a message that ask to pick another outgoing mail server. So I chose Gmail and it was sent. Is this a common problem when using the email on a wifi system?

    Are you sure your enterprise email was up and running at the time you tried to send? Are you sure you were connected to you wifi network and not another wifi network when you tried to send?

    How do I add my mailbox to the Blackberry Enterprise Server?
    I am trying to get my Outlook email on my phone, and when I go to Device Options, under Enterprise Email, it says that Enterprise email services are currently unavailable because my administrator has not added my mailbox to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
    I do know that it is not because of data for I have unlimited data on a Blackberry plan. Everything else works, but this. I even have my Yahoo account email set up and running fine.
    If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it!!!

    Are you trying to add your work email to your blackberry as an enterprise account? In which case you need to contact your IT people as they will need to add you to the BES server.,

  • Removing password lock from enterprise email account

    I have left my last company that had an enterprise email account.  When implemented, they put a password lock on my Blackberry which requires me to log in every 5 or 10 minutes if not being used.  I have contacted them, IT support is in India, and requested they remove this along with the email.  After many calls, it appears my email is gone but the password lock is not.
    Thye said it was up to my carrier (Verizon) to remove, Verizon says they have no access to this and it is the user's employer to remove it.
    My last conversation with the IT department was they told me to do a complete erase of the Blackberry which would remove all contacts and saved email, something I am reluctant to do because if I do this and then restore everything using the BB utilities, I assume the same password block will return.
    Any suggestions?  There's nothing on the BB I can find to remove email accounts and there is a padlock icon at the password setup area.

  • Passcode with Enterprise Email

    When setting up the enterprise email, my company has put a requirement to have an 8 digit passcode set up on the phone for security reasons. I understand the iphone supports this.
    After I enter all the details, a screen pops up to say data cannot be synced until I enter a new 8 digit passcode.. press continue to continue. I press continue, but the screen disapears before I get chance to enter the 8 digits. It only gives me just a few seconds. I think its an error with the software and I have tried many times. Any suggestions?

    I finally figured it out from numerous Google searches, several resets and a complete restore to factory setting. I had the slash the wrong direction. (In Windows, you enter the domain/userID with a forward slash. I was using that. Per the screen, you do need to use domain\userID with a backward slash.) Once I got that correct, the passcode prompt did not go away. FYI, the passcode is different from your Exchange password. Your Exchange administrator may have set a security policy in Exchange to force the users to create a DEVICE passcode to lock the device. ActiveSync honors this by requiring you to set a passcode within the parameters provided by the security policy. Hope that helps! I'm up and running finally.

  • Problem, unable to register my mobile with the new enterprise email

    Dear All,
    I have a serious problem, my company changed the domain name thus my enterprise email has changed. Now I am unable to register my mobile with the new server. The system admin replied that once the mobile is regitered you won't be able to re-register it again with any other domain. I think it's a nightmare, I am unable to register any emails or even to reactivate my personal emails.

    I had the exact same thing with my shuffle - same error message saying that it was corrupt so I restored it (wiping everything in the process) and the same message came up as soon as it reloaded. Thank god I didn't try it with my iPod or iPhone first. So many issues with this new version of iTunes!!!!!!!!

  • Problem Deleting Enterprise Email Account

    I deleted my work enterprise email account from my blackberry but it is still showing when I swipe to the left where my hub is. I checked under settings and under email accounts and the account isn't there. Does anyone know how I can get rid of the email account & emails still showing in the hub?

    Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    Try resetting the hub. With the Hub Messages list displayed, swipe 5 times diagonally from top right to bottom left.
    If that does not clear it, try a normal shut down/restart. If it still does not clear, try a batt-pull reboot.
    Also be sure to check with your BES admin and make sure that they have removed your BB from the BES system itself.

    When will Macintosh release a fix for the enterprise email connection problem?

    Is this with Exchange?  You're a bit light on the details.
    You should check with your IT department, though, to be certain they are returning accurate Autodiscover info.  The vast majority of times in problem cases it's because the info returned by Autodiscover is actually wrong (i.e. providing an invalid server name).

  • 8300 non Enterprise Email

    I have aT-Mobile 8320, and the wizard only gives me an option for enterprise based email. We do not use enterprise anymore, but a google apps based email. I have upgraded the software on the phone, and still the same issue. Is there anyway to get non enterprise based email on this phone?

    Indeed there is...but you must have the proper data plan from your carrier. Typically, it is called The Blackberry Data Plan...a generic data plan is usually not sufficient to have access to the enhanced BB functions of email, browsing, etc. Contact your carrier to be sure you have a plan that will provide you with access to their Blackberry Internet Service (BIS)...then you will have the ability to configure a personal email account.

  • Personal email AND Enterprise email on Bold 9900?

    I have my own personal blackberry Bold 9900 that I am using for work as well. I wiped it and did the Enterpise activation..great...work emails now coming in.
    But now I can't add my personal emails...
    So the question is, if I wipe it again, and add my personal emails (gmail, outlook.com) BEFORE I do the enterprise activation...will I still be ableto send receive from my personal accounts as well as have my work email?

    Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    The first thing to do is ask your BES admins if they restrict, via IT Policy, the use of personal email on BES-activated BBs. If they do, then you have your choice to make...work only, or personal only. If you choose personal only, then you will need to conduct a specific WIPE:
    KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory settings using BlackBerry Desktop Software
    If they don't restrict personal email, then I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
    KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
    Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
    2) Delete and Resend Service Books
    KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
    If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
    KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
    With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
    If you never de-integrated your personal email accounts from the BB, then they actually should return to it now without you having to do anything further.
    I actually recommend getting BES going first, and then adding personal email accounts after it's working well.

  • Enterprise email message stuck, unable to delete

    Hi.  I have a couple of emails from the enterprise server that are stuck in my inbox that will not delete no matter how many attempts...all other new messages from server and internet email delete fine like normal, just these two stuck.  Any thoughts on how to clear them?  Thank you.

    Sorry to hear about your issue. 
    Are the messages old messages? Do you need to keep any messages that are older than the ones you want to delete? If you are fine with all messages previous to the stuck messages being deleted then you can try doing a delete prior. Highlight a message that comes after the ones that are stuck now hit the menu key and choose delete prior to see if that removes the messages. Note this will delete all previous messages.

  • I can no longer view my Army Enterprise Email, after some recent updates. I am using Ubuntu 12.10, with firefox 25.0(?) any ideas? My email is [removed]

    I used to be able to access my Army Email with my CAC card. Recently I lost that ability. Are there any known issues regarding this with your recent updates? Would that reset button be the solution? I haven't tried it because I don't know what I would lose if I clicked on it.

  • Can I have two enterprise emails accounts on my ipad if they both use MDM?

    I work for one company, and we contract to another.  As such I have two email accounts, two calendars, etc....
    Until recently this worked well with everything on my ipad,but recently my company upgraded their security to also use MDM, so when I try to install. The profile it fails since it recognises that the other exists.
    I've uninstalled both and started again, and it seems to only allow me to have one.
    Thoughts, help?....this is a big backwards step for me.

    Yes, you can have multiple iCloud accounts on the iPad but only one account will be the primary with all iCloud info.
    The other account will only use some of the iCloud info.
    Set > Mail, Contact, Calendars > Add account.
    Add the other iCloud account and you can see what will be there.

  • Cannot configure enterprise email on iPhone

    Guys I was sent an activation SMS via which a script should run and install some certificate so I can access my company's email. Problem is, when I accept the terms of the initial page (it is sent via a one time passcode), I get to a static page with a "configuration profile" icon (I think it's an XML file) where I cannot do anything! There is an option to open that file in iStorage but I know that is totally irrelevant. I have contacted my company's support and they suggested I reset the iPhone back to factory defaults which I don't want to do!
    Any ideas? My iPhone 3GS is NOT jail-broken.

    I've just seen this very problem today. In my case, the symptom exists with a single (same) email on both my iPod touch and my iPhone 3g... The email displays correcly, without error, on MobileMe and any email client (save the Apple handheld ones). The error message is precisely, in large font:
    "This message cannot be displayed because of the way it is formatted. Ask the sender to send it again using a different format or email program. multipart/alternative"
    ...Followed by the often seen:
    "This message is only partially downloaded."
    I'm not using MS Exchange, but Apple Mail 3.0, and trying to download the remaining email portion doesn't change the symptom. Resetting the iPhone/touch also doesn't help.
    As an aside, it's one of those throw away emails (multiple forward urban legend-type) that we all get and invariably trash.
    I may have seen this before on the single isolated email and deleted without much thought. But I've never seen this affect all my emails, like MattDB is seeing...
    I'd love to know the cause...
