8330 and Outlook Synching Problem

I am synching with outlook 2003 but some calendar items are missing. I have tried to install version 4.5 of desktop manager but i get an error about corrupted file so the instal wont work. Can anyone suggest a solution or tell me if they are having the same problems. RIM told me to contact my service provider, which I did but this is not their problem to solve. Or should I down grade software to 4.2.2????? Many thanks for any suggestions............

Hi and welcome to the forums!
The 8330 comes with a USB cable and desktop software that will sync your calendar, contacts, memos, and tasks.
It is compatible with Outlook 2007. The data services package is not needed on the 8330 for these functions.
Verizon uses the VZ navigator program for turn by turn directions. It costs an additional $10-15. I tried is and it was
adequate. Note, unless you use the Vz navigator, the GPS is locked on the phone.
Verizon is my carrier as well.

Sync Problems between Blackberry 8330 and Outlook 2007 using Desktop software v 4.7

I have a Blackberry Curve 8330 and I have been experiencing some problems syncing it with my HP Notebook running Outlook 2007. I am using the most current Desktop Software version 4.7. I am using the BB Internet Service and all of my email accounts seem to be operating well. When I attempt to sync I receive the following errors in this sequence
Error 1: Intellisync; There are no applications configured for synchronization. From the synchronize screen, go to Configure > Synchronization to configure the applications.
At this point, I attempt to follow the above instructions and configure the applications I want to Sync. When I complete the above step for all applications, or each one seperately, I receive the following error:
Error 2: Runtime Error; Folder is no longer a part of the system data source or the folder can not be found.
As I stated above, I receive the error for all 4 applications (Address Book, Calendar, Memos and Tasks) whether they are configured seperately or all at once. I have unistalled the desktop software v4.7 5 times and Outlook 3 times. I am truly at a loss and in dire need of my Calendar and Contacts on my phone. If anyone has come across this in the past or has any ideas, Please feel free to comment or reply. Any info will be greatly appreciated!!!

PCsuite and Outlook, compatibility problems

This concerns at least 9500 and E90, various versions of PCsuite including the latest one.
XP and XPsp2 and Outlook 2003.
The problem has been there for years and seems to be an unnecessary limitation in PCsuite which makes my 9500 and E90 quite useless.
The problem is linked to the synchronisation of outlook-contacts from PC to phone.
An outlook contact consists of a number of structured records such as address, various phone numbers, name, title and so forth.
Below these structured fields/records there is a free-text Notes field, which I use quite a lot.
When synching PCsuite only transfers the first 1200 or so characters from the free-text field in the PC to the phone, the rest is lost, no warning or similar is issued.
Some years ago I threw away my 9500 due to this missing compatibility. I recently bought an E90 and didn't dream that the bug would still be in PCsuite, but it is.
This makes my E90 pretty useless for me.
Hope somebody can remedy this undesirable limitation.

Is this a bug is PC Suite or in Outlook, if you enter more than one mobile number in the phone by editing add details of a contact, E90 will save the number in the phone, but when you synchronise, if outlook doesnot support that particular entry into the phone, its not pc suite's issue. If you check the view log entry after sync happens in Nokia PC suite, the entry which was not supported by outlook will be termed as "Unsupported Properties". So pc suite will display the error message that it is the entry which unsupported by PIM ( Correct me if i am wrong ). So, Nokia PC Suite is doing its job, whereas in Outlook, it does not have mechanism for handling more than one number of same kind (mobile, Business etc). So the proper matching needs to be done between Outlook fields and Nokia Phone's entry.
So there is a flaw existing between Outlook and Nokia PC Suite, this has to be fixed, but which is having the issue? Is it Nokia PC Suite or Outlook ???? Share your valuable knowledge to clarify this issue !!!

E61 bluetooth Outlook synch problem

I have a new E61 phone and the latest version of PC suite. I can successfuly synchronise the E61 with Outlook on my PC using a USB cable connection. However, when I try to do this with bluetooth, I successfully connect and start synching but then the synch operation is very, very slow and dies (times out) after about 60 per cent. I'm trying to bluetooth synch to a new sony vaio PCG-4H1M laptop with built-in bluetooth. All advice gratefully received. Thanks MP

I had already tried the suggestions from that link (resetting sync history, then syncing again--no help; then later replacing Contacts on iPhone with Contacts in Outlook--again, no help). Not all Contacts fail to transfer the data, but I can't find any differences between those that do, and those that don't. The Outlook Contacts are all complete. Some of the iPhone Contacts will show phone number, Notes, etc., but no home or work addresses

Pda devices and outlook synch JES2004q2

can anybody explain a little what is the story for people wanting to synch their pdas to their outlook desktop.
to my knowledge the synch tool and outlook conenctor don't mix well and sun encourages pda users to use their pda vendors outlook synch software to synch their pda and let the outlook connector do it's part of connectign to outlook.
can anybody tell me where to find a list of supported pda devices (and don't tell me sun locally because noone i've spoken to so far seems to know :) )

The synch tool for Windows and Mac, as well as the Outlook connector are "broken" for Calendar Server 6.
They worked well with 5.1, but not with the upgrade.
What gives? Does anyone at Sun marketing care about this "oversite"? Is anyone working on a solution?
A few more of these lapses will result in a phone call to the Oracle rep.

Blackberry 8320 outlook synching problems

I have been trying to synchronize my 8320 with outlook 2007, but whenever I start the process I:
> Click on synchronization
> Click on configuration tab
> Click COnfigure synch
> then check off calendar
> window pops up and I select Microsoft outlook
> then ERROR
"blackberry desktop manager has stopped working- a problem has stopped the program form working correctly windows will now close the program"
this happens every single time I try to set up the synchronization.

8330 and sprint nav problem

Have a small problem. Am using sprint nav on 8330 curve. Can't get the audio to output out of my BB headphone jack into my car stereo via 1/8 headphone cable, as if I was listening to mp3s, etc. It works with my wife's HTC hero, with same nav system, same carrier. Is that just a limitation of the BB 8330. It outputs fine for music , etc. Thanks in advance. Tried all settings I could think of, ie, turning speakerphone on/off.

Where are your contacts stored at? (Palm Profile, Google, EAS etc...) Also have you done a restart on the Pre? If not and you do not know how to do one here is the link.

Maverick and outlook email problems

I upgraded to Maverick and my Outlook keeps re-synching old emails. Even after I have deleted them, they still come back.

I suggest you create a new Identity and let your IMAP mail download to the new Identity. If you have POP accounts see this link on how to move to a new Identity.
Note: The new Identity will download all POP mail left on the server. If you do not wish to download old messages, log into the accout in your browser and move the old messages to a folder you create in the browser. POP accounts only download from the Inbox.
How to move your data to a new Identity
Create a new Identity.
Hold down the Option key when launching Outlook.
This opens the Database Utility
Click on the + to add a new Identity.
Set as default.
Open Outlook and it will open in a new blank Identity.

I-Tunes 7.0.2.16 and Outlook Calendar Problems

I am at a complete loss. I have a 5th generation I-pod video. When I first got it (last spring) I could get it to sync with my contacts and calendar from Outlook. At times it would cause the program to hang, or not always bring over information, but most of the time it worked. I upgraded to 7.0 when it came out and that stopped the calendar completely. I’ve tried looking at past postings. I’ve searched the web. I’ve looked all over Apple’s website for a e-mail address for tech support or maybe even a live chat option. Wow, I thought Apple was supposed to be pretty good on the support end.
Anyway, does anyone know of a fix for this? I’m currently using the latest I-tunes and the latest i-pod software (updated 12/20/06). The contacts do come across, but not the calendar. If Apple personal looks at this PLEASE post a response.
Anyone? Heck at this point I’d even be up for third party software just to get the info over. Suggestions?

IPod touch and iCal synch problem

I cannot get information input on my iPod to synch to iCal or my Address Book on my MacBook Pro. And I can't seem to find a setting where I can specify that I want the synch to be two-way. I am connecting to iTunes and the MacBook via the USB connector.

If the iPod or iPhone is plugged into a low-powered USB hub it may not work correctly.

Audio and video synch problems

Whether I am recording a video or in a live chat, the audio is off from the video. Customer Support said to just try some of the different compression options. I tried that, but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Lot of users have a Blue Yeti, even the evangelists do use them. Where is the problem, because to me it is not clear if it is linked with the micro or with your work flow.
When I'm creating a video demo I will do a temporary narration during the capture process, so that the timing is about correct for the video. It helps if you have some sort of script ready at that time. Then I will do the proper voice over (mostly using Audition) and replace the temporary narration by the final one. Perhaps some more sync is needed, but often I have to edit the video demo because I want to insert static objects, split video, etc. Here is an example of such a video:

ICal and iPhone synch problem

I have the birthdays setup in my iCal in the address book and it shows properly in the iCal but when I synch it to my iPhone it places the birthdays ahead by 1 day ex. DOB June 29 it will post it on the iPhone as June 30.

SOAP and ConsoleOne synch problem

I've been making some simple params modifications on a user and I found that fields have different values for the soap invocations and in a ConsoleOne view:
I've change persistence field in Junk properties group for a user but there was no difference in ConsoleOne. I've rerun program which uses soap and I can see new values. ConsoleOne don't see new values even after turning it off and start one more. If I change value in ConsoleOne I don't see any changes in my application.
Any idea what it or I do wrong?

You need to use the Admin API to effect values stored
in ConsoleOne.

Problem synching iPod and Outlook calendars

When I sync my iPod (Gen5 60GB) and Outlook calendars, I get a time discrepancy starting October 29, 2006 (the day DST ends). All appointments on my iPod calendar display 1 hour later than in Outlook.
Has anyone else had/solved this problem?

Yes I am having the same issue. I wish I had not upgraded to 7 because not only I am not able to synch contact (all of them and calendar) I also lost all playlists, movies, original contacts, etc. I cannot reach anyone in phone support and the "genuises" in the store don't have a clue except that they know there are bugs! Why release the **** thing if there are significant problems?
I hope someone has a solution!!
