I am converting from a iDEN phone and have my contact list in .mdb and .xls format. how can I get this contact list into the BlackBerry Address Book? It is about 200 contacts.

Help, I can not drag and drop address book contacts into numbers.

i have read the manual. watched videos on youtube, but I can not drag and drop address book contacts into numbers or pages. I upgraded to Numbers 09. set up the fields as stipulated, but when I drag a contact to the numbers canvas it just bounces back to address book. I tried reinstalling 09 thinking it was a faulty install. no luck. Have tried dragging to balnk part of canvas, to the table, and to a table with fields, no luck.

When forwarding an e-mail I have lost the address book contact list on the left side.

I used to have the address book contact list on the left side of the page being forwarded to allow easy selection of addressees. It's gone and I need it back.

Open a Write window and press F9 to toggle the Contact Sidebar on and off.
You can also turn it on from the View menu in the Write window.

HT2486 I can't get the address book (Contacts) to work on my computer.

Everything is on my phone but not on the computer. Can't add anything to the address book on my computer. I have everything set to back up to the computer from my phone but it doesn't.

I see you do not wish to purchase the adapter online and are having difficulty locating one locally. I Googled DVI adapter at Staples.com and they carry the cables. You can try any computer shop or office depot, staples any place like that, they usually carry the accessories, if not if you spoke with a sales person, they would most likely order it for you. They would also be able to assist you with getting the correct cable for your situation. They also produce cables with different connection on either end, you could also check into.

The Address Book Contacts doesn't always show the Titles.

Among the contacts I have, some entries do not show the title in the name field of the address book. I tested on one of them that used to show the title by removing the tiltle and saved it and then putting it back in again and saved it. From
then onwards the title no longer shows up.

How do I make the iPhone use only the Address Book contacts?

I just spent some time cleaning up my Address Book on my Mac. I want to sync it back to the iPhone so that the phone shows the exact same contacts. How do I know what will override which contacts are used? I don't want the iPhone to merge anything, I want a clean start with the Address Book I just cleaned up.
Going forward of course I will want to keep contacts I've added on the phone, but for now the Address Book is most current.

Hey Exit,
Click on the iPhone on the left side of iTunes, under Devices> Click Info above the picture of the iPhone> scroll to the bottom and check Contacts under Advanced Replace Information on this iPhone.
This will erase the contacts on the iPhone and replace them with contacts in Address Book.

Firefox and other browsers are only for displaying web pages and web mails. The emails, address book, contacts etc. are all stored at the mail provider's end and Firefox never stores them, only displays.

Address Book Syncrhonization not available in Desktop Manager

Hi all;
I'm a complete noivce BB user, so apologies if this is an obvious question.
I've synced my Bold's Address Book with my Address Book on my Mac and home and now would like to sync my work contacts through Outlook. However, when I attempt to use the Desktop Manager to do so. There is no option for the Address Book (just Calendar, Addins, tasks and memos).
Any thoughts?

Is the Address Book option missing or grayed out? I'm not sure why you're seeing add-ins in the list. In the list with 4 checkboxes there should only be Address Book, Calendar, Memos, Tasks.

Can I make multiple templates, for different categories? Such as a template for individuals and a template for companies.
Also, how do I change the order in which the fields appear?

Yes, it is not only possible but absolutely achievable. I have begun carrying my Touch instead of my Palm Tungsten, since it now acts pretty much as well as my PDA did, when it comes to calendars and contacts. There are some things that the Touch does not do (that Palm PDAs do), but it now pretty much does everything that I really need it to do. Thanks to the relationship between iTunes and Calendar and Address Book, it syncs better (well, certainly much faster) than my Palm did (using the Missing Sync for Palm OS and iSync).
There is definitely room for improvement, but it's currently working very well for me. Editing the calendar, and having any changes made synced back to the computer (or vice-versa) is working flawlessly for me.

Can I auto update the address book?

Short answer - no.
Once you subscribe to a Podcast it will auto update automatically. If you don't want to get every show that's released, simply don't subscribe and donwload the shows you want.
I think an easier solution is just to change your iPod Prefrences so that only the podcasts you select are transferred to your iPod. This way you will have all your podcasts on your Mac and only the ones you choose on your iPod.

Can I manually edit the iTunes Music Library.xml file

Here's why.
Noticed on my Apple TV that there were a number of podcasts that when selected would say "Apple TV cannot play the current song".
Looked in iTunes and these podcasts are no where to be found. Did some searches in Spotlight and also, turned up zeros. Not found.
I then looked directly into my iTunes Music Library.xml file and sure enough there are the records.
What is odd is that the location of all the bad songs have a similar invalid path.
Bad path.

Now, all of these have dates that lead me to believe this was due to an iTunes upgrade back in September of 2005. It doesn't look like they are causing problems with iTunes itself. However, it is quite annoying for my Apple TV.
Question. Is there a different way to fix this than just manually removing the entries from the xml file?
I haven't tried to edit the iTunes Music Library.xml file just yet as I want to make I don't totally screw things up first.

I did some additional testing here and I deleted the track information from the iTunes Music Library.xml
On start up of iTunes, it does not add the deleted file back in. On the Apple TV, it still shows the bad file.
What I think that means is that even the Apple TV gets its playlist information from another source.
I have also started on another track which is to remove all of my podcasts from iTunes. Which I have now done.
The only ones left are these bad tracks that only show up in the iTunes Music Library.xml file and more importantly on my Apple TV.
I'd put this on the podcast or the Apple TV thread, but still believe this is an iTunes issue.

I am doing the same thing too. I have to call my reports thru menu. I tried web.show_document in my menu and it works. I also added paramform=yes and it gives the report parameters, but I want to give the user the choice of format for the reports. eg. pdf, html, excel, etc. instead of hardcoding it.
Could you please give me some idea on how can I do that??
