8330 Video capturing issues

Hi,
I got a 8330 yesterday and I am having issues recording a video.
After a master reset, the capturing works fine.
As soon as I change the encryption mode under 'options/media card', the phone
does not let me capture videos anymore, even after I changed the options back to default!
Every time I try to record a video, it shows a '0KB' size at the lower left corner.
I've swapped the memory cards and even the phone with no results.
After a master reset, I can record again until I change the media card options...
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Can the data on the card be accessed via another BB if the encryption option is turned off?
Nope. You will not be able to access the files from anything other than the BlackBerry used to encrypt the data. This includes your PC, another BlackBerry, or even your BlackBerry if you happen to wipe or upgrade the OS.

  • Lumia 1520 Purple Tint Issue/Video Capturing Issue

Hello all..Just got my 1520 yesterday and found out video captured at low light contains purple-ish/pink-ish color around the corners. So I went back to the Nokia store and ask for change, but turned out all three devices tested also having the same issue. The staff said this is the quality of low light video, nothing's wrong, and they cannot change a new one to me.
I went and do a testing on the gradient color map and turn out the gray colors are indeed show as purple, exactly the same issue on my old N8, just this time is even worst, it's affecting the quality of the video.
Besides, checked on few videos on youtube, some of videos having same issue too...
Anyone else having this problem? Reckon the issue due to software or hardware? Thanks.

If your doing testing indoors where your using CFL light bulbs i think its a know feature
even my eyes did it yesterday when i stared at a CFL light bulb and looked away hehe
but hey i might jsut be mad :¬)

  • Video capturing issue in iPhone

Hi. I m using iPhone 4s ios5. When I try to capture video I can hear the dong sound  and it stops working. It shows only still image and the recoding stop icon s disabled(video recording minutes not showing n the top).
    Please help. Thanks n Advance.

I seem to have had a similar issue to the one you're describing.
Sometimes when the slide reaches the end, the video will restart instead of advancing to the next slide - not consistently, but occasionally.

  • PS10 video capture issue

PSE10 recognizes Pinnacle 710 USB as video source but will not capture video footage

    Welcome to the forum.
As Steve says, Premiere Elements will ONLY Capture via FireWire (IEEE-1394a).
The Pinnacle hardware should have come with some version of Pinnacle Studio (maybe a stripped down version?), and that should work.
If at all possible, when using that sotfware to do the Capture, be sure to choose DV-AVI as the file format/CODEC. That material will Import perfectly into PrE, and edit smoothly.
Do NOT choose MPEG (any flavor), or AVI w/ any other CODEC, but DV/DVC, such as Xvid, or DivX. Those WILL create issues down the road.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Video Capture issues in Premire Pro CS3

I bough an HP z200 Win 7 64 bits 8gb intel i7 870 quad core. I install the production premium CS3. everything is working fine. Now. the problem is when i was capturing video (dv) in the minute 8 it shows a messaje telling that the machine is running in very low memory. Why it occurs? since my old HP is a xw4200 Pentium 4 (HT) with 1.5 gb. Can anyone help me please...!!! Do i need to change any parameter in the software or just need to buy more memory? ( but It is 8GB) I don't understand. ( I already clic the win xp compatibility mode)

Just to verify... you are using a Firewire connection to transfer video from your tape based camera?

  • HD Video Delay Issues in CS3 Vieo Capture

    I am using CS3. I am having a problem.
I have an issue with video capture.
    Here is my setup....
    Canon XH A1 Camcorder
    Set to: HDV60i
    Adobe Premier CS3
I'm using the Capture (F5) video option. My video in the capture window is
running about 1/2 a second behind the video on my camera
screen. Same for audio. For example: When I move the camcorder left or
right, the capture window on screen delays a second and then
    pans my movements.
Everything seems to work find If I am in SD mode.
Any ideas? Happens on my friends HD cam as well.
    Bruce

I have the same problem with the audio having a time offset with respect to the video track. Coincidentally, I also am using a Canon XH-A1 and use HDV in 60i. I worked around this by capturing an entire tape and unlinking the audio track from the video, moving the audio track to the correct offset by looking at frames where I could precisely correlate audio and video, and then re-linking the audio and video tracks.
The time offset is not the same with every tape. Sometimes the audio is earlier and sometimes later wrt video.
THE ABSOLUTE WORST PROBLEM IS THAT I HAVE HAD THIS AUDIO TIME SHIFT CHANGE ON ME AFTER WORKING ON THE PROJECT FOR A LONG WHILE!!!!! I believe it might be caused by the re-conforming problem. Needless to say this is extremely frustrating to have the editing tool corrupt the artistic work. Fortunately I had rendered intermediate copies on DVD so I at least have a reference to see by how much each tape's audio track had re-timeshifted after re-conforming.
I have hundreds of cuts in a sports video that was destroyed by this bug. Now I need to change the cut points in each segment on the time line and re-apply all of the transitions to make it right again. ARRRGHHH!!! OK, end of rant.
Has anyone else had the time shift in the audio track change on them like this? Is this a known issue with the re-conforming bug? Is there any assurance that the audio won't shift to yet another offset after I manually change the few hundred clips on the timeline?
    Thanks.

  • **Captured Video Playback Issue - Freezing

I've capture 10 short video clips, and discovered when trying to play them back on the iPhone that some simply will not play. When you open the photo app, select the clip, and press the play button, the iPhone just locks up. Totally locks up. The only way I've been able to unlock is holding down both the Sleep/Startup button and the Home button for 10 seconds and the device resets.
Once reset, if I go to a clip that works, it plays normally again, but select one of the bad clips, and it locks again (also locks if I try to delete one of the bad clips). To remove a bad clip I open the Photo app, highlight the clip or clips in question), press the options button, and then click Delete.
However, once I deleted the clips that caused the crashing, some of the clips that played normally have stopped working and now freeze the entire device.
Once while trying to delete some clips, the whole Photo app on the phone appeared to be completely empty. I restarted and it was the same - empty. Restarted again and everything was back.
Help. I've got an appointment at the Genius Bar Saturday, and am hoping we can get to the bottom of this or get the phone replaced.

    Jason,
I just went through the whole restore process, and the issue persists - crashing/freezing on playback of videos captured through the iPhone, as well as fuzzy photos (both viewed through the Photo app). On the fuzzy photo side, what's odd is the first photo you look at seems to look good; all after that look fuzzy. Strange.
On the playback side, I'm wondering if there isn't an actual hardware issue that's causing that problem since the software has been completely replaced.
Not happy with the current situation at all, as the camera is a pretty central function of the phone (for my uses) and as it stands I'm better able to use even the camera from my original iPhone.
Taking this in Saturday, which is the first appointment I could get when I tried to go in on Wednesday. My concern is that tomorrow is the last day I think I could technically return this phone for a refund with no restocking fee. If I go in Saturday and get a replacement phone that's refurbished, as new as my phone is, I'm going to be feeling pretty annoyed.
Thoughts or any additional things to try?

  • Video capture no longer working with Lion

Does anyone know why USB video capture (XLR8 USB 2.0) would no longer capture audio with Lion.  It worked great at importing old VHS home movies to my Mac before the upgrade to Lion and now, while I can still see the video, I no longer hear audio.  Anyone have any ideas?

    Well, heck.
I am so sorry you guys couldn't get through to me. you can email, [email protected] anytime for full support.
On the issue of Lion, and the XLR8 devices?
Apple did change a number of items, that limited the XtraView's ability (this is the one, with the built-in audio on the older 2820 chipset). Audio, just won't work in 64-bit mode.
The easy workarounds are to boot into 32-bit mode (hit 3 and 2) on boot.
To check if you are in 64 bit mode, go to the System Profiler (Apple Menu > More Info > Software (left pane) and see if the 64 bit is loaded.
If in 32-bit mode you are still having an issue, please check that you are running XLR8 version 1.4.6. You can download new versions at http://XLR8.com.
You can email XLR8 for a free audio cable (Mac sound jack to RCA audio), or for $25, XLR8 can upgrade you to the new 2860 device that works in 64-bit mode.
Now, that hopefully, we have you working again... about Daystar. Actually  XLR8 has always developed, built and shipped the devices. Daystar just had a bigger name and was an Apple Authorized Reseller. But, the Apple relationship ended, and Daystar closed.
XLR8, LLC will continue to support the devices and we will continue to provide great products and good support (sorry, we are a small company, and due to limited time... I can only provide "good" support. Maybe one day, it will be great.)
We are expanding the website at XLR8.com. You are always welcome to provide feedback and suggestions.
Oh, and lastly, thanks to Thiago, for sending me an email, and alerting me to the thread...
    Gary,

  • Can't get driver to work with ezcap usb 2.0 video capture device on windows 8.1

I have an ezcap video capture device that works fine on my windows 7 machine but will not work in windows 8.1. The software (arcsoft 3.5)  functions properly but will not let me select the video grabber as a source. The driver itself indicates not compatible with 8.1 and the there are no drivers out there that I can find to address this issue? Any known solution would be helpful.

    Hi,
It is not from HP. Please try driver from the following link:

  • Video capture stops when connected to FCP using fire wire

Captured video using Sony VX2000 using 48 khz and 16 bit audio stereo mode. Using Sony Premium miniDV tapes.
Video plays back fine when not connected via firewire to G4 dual 867 with 2 GB Ram.
Using default capture preset of 48 khz 16 bit, connect fire wire and video capture randomly stops stating it has lost connection or is missing capture data. If I switch to just plain capture using non controllable device, I have the same issue except the tape keeps playing but FCP stops capturing.
Tried other tapes and no problem.
Tried other fire wire cable and no problem.
I am having problems only on this tape and when connected.
When not connected it plays back on the camera with no stopping.
    Steve Bowers

    To answer your questions--
Dumping preferences usually does not cause problems. More likely you updated some part of your system or are having other hardware issues.
No updates or hardware issues. The original problem (discussed in another thread) was one where the video is skewed inward on the lower right corner. Apple instructed me to dump the preferences and start from scratch. That I did and now I am experiencing problems I did not have before. If it is hardware problems, then I guess it is just coincidental that FCP is just now presenting problems. However, the other problems I am having are software related and does not involve the camera.
What software versions of FCP, OSX and QT are you running and have you updated any of them recently?
    FCP version-5.1.2
    OSX-10.4.8
    QT-7.1.3
Is there anything special about the 'difficult' tape?
    No.
    Did you record it?
    Yes
Was it the last of a bunch?
Not sure. I buy bulk so this was one in a box of 5 that is was in a case of 50 boxes.
Are you using the same camera as the playback device?
    Yes
Does it work if you use another computer?
Not sure what you mean. I have only one MAC G4.
Was it recorded using another camera in a non-DV format?
No. Playback is through same camera is was recorded on.

  • Video Capture on New iMac

I have 4 aluminum iMacs in my school's TV studio and am ready to buy 2 more. I also have to get two Firewire-DV Video Capture boxes (like the Canopus AVDC300) to capture video in to Final Cut Express. With the new iMacs you only get Firewire 800 and all of these video convertors only have firewire 400. I hear that the firewire convertors and adaptor cables will not work for this purpose. Any ideas on a solution would be welcome.
    -Jeff

According to Canopus none of their DV Capture/Converters will work with the new iMac with an adaptor. Their tech support person said that they are looking to include USB with their next gen products and will not likely issue a short term fix.

  • Not able to start video capture

Hello, I have a  Motorola Droid Ultra and ever since the android kit-kat update my phone is unable to record videos. Which effects my apps (ex. SnapChat , Instagram , Facebook) from recording.Whenever I try to record it say's "Not able to start video capture". I am able to take pictures by the way.
P.S. Any help is greatly appreciated.

That sounds like the camera bug,  I think these phones were hit with in one of the updates,  my Droid Maxx has been immune of it,  because I've kept it on Jelly Bean I don't have the camera features that many have with K.Kat but until I see allot of improvement and no issues..  I'll keep her on Jelly Bean..  Sorry your having this issues..  it's the berries when you have to deal with issues as we've seen..

  • Camera video capture

Hi I am using a Basler GigE camera with Labview 2010. I am trying to capture a video. I can change the frame capture rate in NI MAX. In my attached program, I collect a specified number of frames and save them as an AVI. However, the timer tells me it takes longer than it should. So for example if I collect 200 frames at 10 frames per second, it should take 20 seconds to collect video, correct? It takes my program longer. Does anyone know why? Also, because of the time discrepancy, I do not know if the program is collecting the correct frames? Thank you!!

This issue has been discussed several times, see e.g. here. You can also start a search on how to grab images from a camera and write them to disk (in your case: avi). Good link for this is NI's Vision Forum.
Basically, you shouldn't use one loop for continous data acquisition and writing to the disk. Setup two loops (1 for IMAQ, 1 for AVI). This should solve your issue.
Depending on the compression filter you use you might still observe, that writing the the AVI will take longer than the IMAQ procedure.
    Hope this helps.

  • N81 VGA video capture

I`m having some problems with my Nokia n81.
I can`t capture a VGA video/640x480px/, is it a firmware issue or just a setting? My phone is set to Video Quality-High, but it still captures a clip with resolution 320x240px.
In the following specification provided by Nokia/In the official UK site http://nokia.co.uk / is said that this device can support this resolution. The specifications: http://www.nokia.co.uk/A4515023

I tried using my secondary /front/ camera and video clip captured by it was with resolution 178x144px. I also checked the setting and found nothing. I made up some screeshots. Link: http://bulgaria.net.in/nokia/ . I`m starting to think that nokia forgot to activate this feature in their firmware. In Screenshot0002 there are five levels but only 3 of them are active. Is this scenario possible?

Conexant 23880 Video Capture (Blackbird NTSC Dual-Input) driver for windows 7 32bit

It appears that no driver past XP has been released for this device. Please read this Microsoft Community Forum thread on this subject for a possible resolution to your issue. Also note that the Microsoft Update Catalog only lists driver for Windows XP.
