Go to options/security options/general settings set ALLOW OTGOING CALLS WHILE LOCKED: NO
You cannot change the incoming calls feature.

Thanks for taking the time to try to help me. . I checked and the Do not disturb is off. The check is still there stopping calls from coming in when phone is locked. Any other ideas? Thanks again!

If the photos were not imported by your computer and your iPhone's backup was not updated to include the photos prior to restoring the iPhone, the photos are gone unless you had Photo Stream enabled with your iCloud account settings on the iPhone and all photos in the Camera Roll were copied to your Photo Stream prior to the restore.
iTunes does not handle the import of photos/videos on the Camera Roll.

CS5 with OpenGL : Is there a way to disable the "inertia" when moving the window ?

Following a hardware change, photoshop automatically re-enabled a feature I had deactivated, the OpenGL acceleration.
I gave up on it 18 months ago because of one thing that incredibly irritated me, the crazy "inertia" when we moved elements.
Let's say you have an open document. The image is too large for your photoshop window, you only see a part of it.
So, you keep the Space key held, and you drag and drop with your left mouse click.
Without openGL acceleration : the moving ends as soon as you release your mouse.
With openGL acceleration : the moving gradually slows down until it comes to an end, meaning you have zero control over your work window.
And, well, that's enough of a bother for me to give up on OpenGL acceleration.
Please, would you know if there's a way to get rid of this feature ? I searched everywhere I could, I think I tried every one of photoshop's options, but to no avail, sadly

The reason i ask this is , if you are able to switch a phone off from a locked screen , it defeats the purpose of using the I cloud to track your stolen phone. Atleast if switching off is passcode protected, then you have time to track the phone, erase content etc till the battery runs out.

Silent switch, is there a way to disable it on iOS 5 ?

Have both iphone 4s and iphone 3GS on iOS5.
How do I disable the silent switch function. ( at the moment, only solution I think of is using
a thick rubber case so the button does not accidently move the silent switch when in pocket )
Also when phone on silent mode , the top toolbar next to battery does NOT indicate phone is on silent mode.(? )
Just thought Apple would have lots of user testing and feedback to address this issue

It is a Phone, I want it to ring most of the time (may be NOT in meetings or when I Sleep but thats it. )

A recommendation for software fix on next iOS 5 update.
1. When phone switch to silent mode will have to alert user to confirm ' YES or NO'.
2. Have icon on top bar next to battery icon to show if phone is set to silent mode would help so many users.
3. Have function in Settings> Disable silent button. (or assign it as lock potrait or landscape mode like iPad )
4. On lock screen (double tap home button ) will allow to silent phone icon (on or off )next to taking photo icon.
5. While phone is unlock, may be double/triple click to ' ask' if want to silent phone as one of the option?
Also I don't think I will miss the silent switch if it is removed from the phone from the pain this little button is causing
the way it is.

Wish my silent switch button is stiff too.
But not always faulty button issue. More of faulty design. The idea is good to have a quick switch to silent the phone but it can be done so easily without user knowing and without user confirmation is bad implementation. Also without the icon showing phone is silent is bad. A quick 2 seconds showing ringer off doesn't help if phone is in pocket. Also I did a search on net and lots more people have same problems and lots of user forums also have same issue. Anyway. Hope that new iOS5 update will have option to disable the silent function or reassign it to lock screen mode for quick fix.

Is there a way to disable previously viewed iMessages from appearing as Messages notifications when waking my MacBook Pro from sleep? Regardless of whether I am using iMessage from my iPhone or iPad, when I open my MBP, I get attacked by Messages notifications for iMessages I've obviously already seen or responded to. Is there a way to change this? Are others having this issue?
Additionally, previous iMessages sent or received from those devices sometimes don't populate into the Messages window on the MBP. I haven't been able to identify when or what causes this; sometimes it just doesn't seem to work (and I verified that the messages sent/received were, in fact, iMessages and not SMS).

First you need to determine what laptop model you have; then we can help you. A Mac Book Pro cannot run OS 9.1.
With your Mac booted up, click on the  at the far left of the menu. Then click on About This Mac. It will show what version of OS you are running. What is the version?
A MBP will be running something like version 10.x.
If you are running version OS 9.x, you don't have a Mac Book Pro.

I had created 60 users granting them connect and resource privileges in oracle(8.1.5.0.0).All of the users are working under their logins(users)...Every thing is going fine...But now i wanted to disable the objects owned by those users
(60 Users) for a period of 2 days,After that i wanted to enable them....Is there any way to disable the objects owned by them with out dropping the users?(The users should be able to work as prevoiusly on the new objects they will create after i disabled the objetcts owned by them previously)?

if my understanding is right you want to disable the users for 2 days for any reason let say he is on holiday for 2 days then why dont u lock this user and submit the job for unlock after two days.

Is there a way to disable push mail from Yahoo? It's draining my battery

I'm on the prepaid plan and every 10-15 minutes my iphone turns on with a "The last transaction cost $0.00" message. I don't mind the message (although it is a bit annoying) but my problem is that this turns the LCD on for about 2 minutes at a time.
I charged my battery to 100% last night, haven't used it at all today and after just turning it on a few minutes ago I had the "Your battery life is at 10%" message followed by a 5% remaining message a few minutes later.
I've heard that it's the yahoo push mail service thats causing the phone to give the message (since it connects to the internet). My Yahoo account is my main one and I'd hate to have to login to yahoo's site each time to check it (the email functionality was a big selling point for me with the iphone). ATT/Apple don't seem to want to disable this message/"Feature", so I'm guessing I would need to step in and do something on my end.
Is there any way to disable yahoo mail from "pushing" messages to my phone? I can hit the Check Mail button if I have to.

To give an update on the situation: I disabled the Yahoo account and it seems to make a VERY NOTICEABLE difference in battery life - prior to this my battery would drain quite rapidly but since disabling it it's only lost about 15-20% over the past 24 hours (and thats with using the video/music/internet functions for about an hour and a half).. Prior to this it would have been close to drained under the same circumstances.
Also, to confirm, the "Your last transaction cost 0.00" messages only appear when accessing the internet manually now. before they appeared every 10-15 minutes with no interaction from myself at all (while it was sitting idle, while watching videos, while charging, while in my pocket, etc..)
I do have it set to only check Manually but Yahoo would seem to check on it's own even though this setting is checked (I'm guessing it has to do with the Push setting). Aside from draining the battery, it was quite annoying having 30 or so "Your transaction cost $0.00" messages to click through whenever I turned on the phone.
I did have the screen set to shut off after 1 min, but the 'your transaction cost..' messages would first wake the iphone up, the screen would stay bright for about 30 seconds, dim for about 30 seconds, then turn on bright again for 1 minute until it shut off. I'm guessing the screen (being on for about 10-15 minutes per hour due to this) and the fact that yahoo accesses the internet on such a frequent basis are what cut the battery life down.
I really wish I could make Yahoo work more like Gmail and have it manually search for new mail

Try using Recovery Manager to reinstall your original Audio Driver ( ie Conexant, IDT etc ) - the procedure for using recovery manager to reinstall Software and Drivers is detailed in the relevant document on the link below.

I know that, but why would toshiba lock it out in the bios 1.5 ,.. even Intel suggest disableing it,.. Its for future proofing,.. for now it does more harm than good,.. for some users atleast,..
Hope we get this option in next bios,.. I would understand if it would be harmful for a product,.. but it is not,..
