8350i Nextel Direct Connect doesn't work with GM Onstar Bluetooth

Paired my 8350i to my 2009 Chevy Silverado with Onstar and Bluetooth. Can make and receive phonecalls with Bluetooth but Direct Connect cannot. I have to turn off Bluetooth on the 8350i in order to utilize Direct Connect.

I have an 8350i with Nextel, and had similar issues with the Bluetooth in my 2012 Hyundai Accent.     Also by accident, I was able to figure out how to work the Nextel.  You do need to use the PTT button on the phone as you normally would.  (If you try listening in the handset it will not work, the connection to the bluetooth in the car needs to activate.)   If someone initiates a PTT conversation with you press the green "pick up call" button on the vehicle's bluetooth.   This will cause the bluetooth connection with the vehicle to activate.   Then you will be able to hear and speak through the vehicles bluetooth system while pressing and releasing the PTT button as you would if you were using Nextel through the handset.
It is even more awkward if you try placing a PTT call.   Hit the green "pick up call" button and even though the bluetooth system will be asking you for verbal commands to initiate a phone call, ignore them and "chirp" the person as you normally would.  It will work, not pretty, but it will work.  At the end of the call the system will still be asking for verbal commands, but simply hang up.
This worked whether the phone was in vibrate, speaker or not.

For Radeon 7000, you need to:
    pacman -S xf86-video-ati
You need to load those modules in /etc/rc.conf:
    MODULES=(agpgart via-agp)
    And in xorg.conf:
    Driver      "radeon"

  • Ad hoc connection doesn't work with my 3gs but works with my touch

I setup an ad hoc connection on my laptop following a guide on the internet.
I did this on windows 7 32bit, it worked for my ipod touch but for some reason it won't work with my iphone 3gs (upgraded with the latest updates)
I connect to the wireless network, it shows its connected (with the wifi symbol at the top in the iphone's status bar) but as soon as i try using the internet via safari or any other app, it reverts back to using 3g or edge networks. I've checked and after reverting it still shows wifi is connected but the wifi symbol is no longer in the status bar and judging by the speed of the connection it really isn't connected to wifi.
Any ideas why this is happening?
It's just so odd that it works on my ipod touch but not on my iphone 3gs... Can't be a windows related problem.

Did you ever get this fixed? I'm having the same problem and can't figure out the solution.

  • Address Book bluetooth connection doesn't work with Nokia N90

I can't set up my Nokia N90 to work with the Address book for bluetooth dialing & sending SMS.
Does anyone else have this problem?

I found this info on the forum.
    1. Check if the isync agent is installed on your phone. If not get go to your application folder/isync. control-click on the icon and choose "show package content". Navigate to /Contents/PlugIns/ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevices/Contents/Resources/Agents and drag a copy of AppleSyncAgent-s60v22.sis to your desktop.
    2. Use the bluetooth "send file" option to send that file to your nokia. You will receive a message on the phone. Open that message and install the agent.
    3. Remove your phone from the device list in isync and add it again.
    4. Open address book and click bluetooth. It should connect straight away (no pairing request).
    5. Now sending sms should be enabled.
    6. Open isync and sync your device.

  • Adobe Dreamweaver FTP connection doesn't work with german "Umlaut" like "ö" in the severadress

    Hi
Today I tried to establish a FTP connection to the serveradress "ftp.möbelverwandlung.com", but I get the error message that the program couldn't connect to the host. As Dreamweaver works perfectly with other serveradresses and I managed to establish a connection to "ftp.möbelverwandlung.com" with other programs, I think that the problem is the german "Umlaut" "ö". Did anyone recognize the same problem and does someone know a solution?

I got a even looked at my provider. Usually there must pay the original domain for the agreed period and agree a new. However, they show a accommodating for so short "duration" of a few hours like you. Try to contact your ISP phone support.

I wrote this VI to investigate how to integrate a Joystick into my LabVIEW code (I called the VI "Joystick Sampler").  It has two parts -- the lower function, "Query Input Devices", makes an array of devices, their names and number of Axes, Buttons, and POV "hats", in an array called "Joystick Info".  Look at this first, paying attention to the Array Index that seems to correspond to your Joystick when you plug it into a USB port.
The upper code will sample (one of the) Joystick(s) at the rate of 10 Hz, allowing you to test buttons, axes, etc.  Note that the first "Initialize Joystick" function takes a parameter (default = 0) that corresponds to the Joystick Index you discovered by examining the Joystick Info array (see previous paragraph) -- if your Joystick, for example, seems to be at Index = 4, wire a "4" into the Initialize Joystick function.

  • Groupwise address book sync with Nextel Direct connect #'s for 8350i

Is there a way to sync address books for groupwise and 8350i to included the nextel direct connect information?
    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Mapping solves the problem. Groupwise has no corresponding field for "Direct Connect". For ease of data entry, I mapped the Direct Connect field in my 8350i with the pager field in my groupwise address books. The BB desktop manager now syncs the nextel direct connect #'s.
    The steps are:
In BB desk top manager, select Sync Configuration; address book; advanced; Field Mapping (at bottom of list). Map an unused field in the GW address book with the direct connect field in the 8350i.
I assumethis would also work with outlook and others.

    Hi !
I am looking to for Nokia phone that supports Push to talk option and supports Nextel Direct Connect network(USA). I could not find any information on the web and it turns out that some phones can even be upgraded with PTT.

  • WRE54G doesn't work with PS3...

    Hello,
I bought yesterday the range expander WRE54G because I would like to expand my WiFi singal and make it accesible to my PS3.
I configured de range expander and it works fine with all my electronic gadgets with WiFi, but it doesn't work with PS3. My PS3 is always contecting and disconecting... And, curiously, when i connect PS3 directly to my router, using wifi too, it works fine...
What can i do to solve this problem? I only bought it to use with PS3.
i put the same SSID and chanel of the router wifi to the range expander... I think it must be in that way, no?
    Thanks in advanced.

You have correctly setup the WRE54G if you have same SSID, wireless channel and wireless security on this device and the router. The range expander will reduce the wireless connection speed by Half. So may be your connection drops because of lower connection speed.

  • Wired connection doesn't work if cable is not plugged in at boot time

    Hey all,
I started using arch a few days ago and I simply love it, but I have a problem. The wired connection doesn't work if the cable is not plugged in at boot time, or if it was plugged in at boot time, then plugged out and in again. Switching it off and on again via the gui has the same effect. I am using NetworkManager with dhcpcd, NetworkManager is started via systemd, dhcpcd is not, I let NetworkManager do that. When I started investigating this problem there were some remnants of netctl, but now NetworkManager is the only networking-related service started at boot time. When the cable is plugged back in, NM-applet shows that it's connected, and an IP address is assigned, but the connection doesn't work.
Here's some information regarding the system:
It's a lenovo G50-70 laptop, it uses the r8169 driver for ethernet. (I dualboot it with windows 8.1, but arch is default and all this stuff happens also if i only use arch)
The router is a Linksys EA2700/N600

Try to use dhclient perhaps?  Might I also suggest letting systemd deal with the dhcp issue and not NM.  That may seem incongruous but it is possible NM is mis-handling the dhcp hand-off to the network card.  I'm no guru but I got thinking about this when I saw this in your output:

It is very possible that I'm mis-interpreting this information so please take it with a boulder of salt.

I have a printer epson TX210, but it doesn't work with my time-capsule. What need to do?

    What have you tried?
You are going to get nowhere quick with the 6.1 utility in Mountain Lion if this is the only OS you have available.
Look up how to install 5.6 utility under ML. At least then you can see printers. That is assuming you are trying to use USB.
Has this worked ever on Mountain Lion? Did you download the drivers for that printer for ML?
Plug it into a computer directly.. does it work? If it doesn't work locally it sure will not work via the network.

  • HT5706 I am trying to set up Apple TV with my Uverse WiFi, but I get errors when entering my password.  One site said that Apple TV doesn't work with WPA which Uverse uses.  Is there anyway around this or will Uverse and Apple TV just not work together.

Trying to set up Apple TV with ATT Uverse.  I get errors when trying to enter my WiFi password.  One site says that Apple TV doesn't work with Uverse because it uses WPA for encryption.  If true, does that mean Uverse subscribers cannot use Apple TV?

No, that's a rather silly conclusion.
    There are two options:
stop using the crappy router provided by the ISP.
Physically connect the ATV to the router via Ethernet.

  • Media Encoder CS4 doesn't work with Premiere (pic related)

    Oh hai!
I just got Adobe Master Collection CS4 and my Media Encoder doesn't work with Premiere CS4. When I try to export the file, Encoder starts normally. Then I click "Start queue" and Encoder starts loading. Loading takes almost five minutes, which is a long time, because my project is very simple. After that nothing happens, just a warning sign appears. When I click it open, some kind of log file open and it says:
    Encoding failed
Could not read from the source. Please check if it has moved or been deleted.
And I didn't deleted anything. So what does that mean? Why that "Source Name's" path is different than my project files path? Can this problem relate that somehow?
I have also another problem with Premiere CS4, maybe there's a link between these two problems. I can't get Premiere projects linked to open in Premiere CS4. When I right-click the project icon, and click “Open with…”, I can't find Premiere from the list. When I click "Browse", I can find Premiere.exe from my computer, but if i doubel-clicked it, nothing happens. It won't appear to the list or anywhere else. Or have I missed something? So now the project files are linked to open in After Effects. Of course I can open projects from Premiere, but how do I get them open straight from file?
I have long experience using Adobe Premiere and this is the first time I got this kind of problems. I have also downloaded new updates for Premiere and Encoder, this didn't help. Does that matter, that I didn't installed Premiere in C-drive? However it's in my computers internal drive, I have divided my hard drive for five parts, one part contains all of my softwares. My scratch disks are in different hard drive (external), does that matter? I tried different location, but that didn't help.
Please help, I can't do any video editing, because of this problem. And sorry for my english, ask if you didn't understand something. =)

Hello, this is terrible problem, which i found in CS 6 softwares ...
solution i found only working, is uninstall and reinstall full package.. but it is not all,
you need to do BRAND NEW admin account in windows, and install it there.
that means, i could not export after repair from encoder in my original account never more (!!)   .. this is really terrible way how to repair this issue, because :
1.by reinstalling of software, client WASTE HIS TIME
2.by necessity to begin work in another windows profile you again WASTE YOUR TIME because of learning and migrating all other profile modifications, which i see really unaccpetable. Adobe means, this solution of repair is ok, and they did not do till today any steps of creating some "clever" solution.
I ask everybody, who will meet this issue in future, guys, please, complain about this situation, give "BUG Report" to them, and write "feature request" to them , in the way of creating some repair tool, which check actual  "broken" connections between encoder and premiere, which refuses to "take material" from it and encode, and REPAIR it automatically..
I am not IT, but ..does it seems so hard to create this ? Adobe IT developers should know their systems, and should create such utility tool really easy.
History of this problem and detailed description, HOW i did "repair" this. With wasting of app 2,5 days of my working time :
    1. after repairing "error 5" problem , i solved it by reinstalling the suite from the new admin user profile (profile B) .
I continued my work on my normal working windows profile . (profile A)
Every cooperation (AE+Pr, export media via "queue" to Encoder) was working fine . . .
    2. suddenly it stop working (without knowing any possible reason - i did not do installations )
and showed in error export log file :
"Could not read from the source. Please check if it has moved or been deleted."
    3.repair via procedure(procedure "a"):
i did this procedure on the profile B (profile from last time installation of repairing problem error 5)
    I did these steps :
    a-uninstall master coll suite
b-i used Adobe cleaner tool (remove ALL)
    c-removed raw directories in locations
    •C:\Program Files\Adobe
    •C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe
    •C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe
    •C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Adobe
    •C:\ProgramData\Adobe
d-removed these links from registry file
    •HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe
    •HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe
    •HKEY_LOCAL_MACH INE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe
    •HKEY_CURRENT_USER \Software\Wow6432Node\Adobe
    e-restarted the PC
f- newly installed the Master Coll CS6
    g-update the software
result of repair of "3" : problem still exists
4.Ok i find out after coordination with support, it should have been created  ANOTHER NEW admin account.
4a:so i did the same procedure (uninstalling) in profile B
4b: and then i created brand new admin profile (profile C)for INSTALLATION of software
4c: restarted the pc (and did not updated it yet)
    result :
==exporting of any sequence/raw/AE link video material from premiere via "queue" (Encoder) (profile C) : export WORKS
==exporting of any sequence/raw/AE link video material from premiere via "queue" (Encoder) (profile B) : export WORKS
==exporting of any sequence/raw/AE link video material from premiere via "queue" (Encoder) (profile A) : export DOES NOT WORK ! ! !
(in profile A, is possible to export some raw video material in encoder which is imported to it via "drag and drop)
problem i see:, i have my basic profile A, which i am interested to work, because of all my directory modifications are in there..
this issue should be some "broken" connections between encoder and premiere, which refuses to "take material" from it and encode.
    what i expect :
to get from Adobe some repair tool, which automatically checks these connections and repair if necessary, without necessity of founding the new profile and reinstallation of whole software.. this is madness !
what i do NOT expect from Adobe:
to get from Adobe advice of kind : you have to reinstall full software in new admin profile. sorry , we do not know the solution, because we do not know, how do behave our software.
