845G max , VGA drivers slowdown the system

hi, my new machine: C4 1.7G , MSI 845G max, Kingston DDR 256M , Seagate U6 40G.   Win2000 Server
Problems:
1.  The boot time of win2000 server is too long as more than 1 minute, it is longer than my Celeron 300A system !!! I think it's abnormal.
2. When I have installed win2000 server, then I install the Intel VGA drivers, but after I have finished the VGA drivers installation, the system comes into slow. For example I click right button of the mouse on the desktop,  the menu poped out slowly, and when I open a window also slowly.
I have try to upgrade the bios and Intel INF , Intel VGA drivers to last version, but there are no effects.

Did you update win2000 to SP2 or SP3 and update directX8.1?
Preferably the process will be:
-clean install
-SP2/3
-intel inf
-directx8.1b
-VGA drivers

  • Dynamic lookup of all DB drivers loaded in the system

    Hi everyone
    Actually I want to know that whether it is possible to include in my program, the functionality that allows the dynamic lookup of all the DB drivers in the system.
    I want to list the names of the Database drivers that have been loaded in the system.
    waiting 4 ur reply:)

    I am mailing u the code which I have written, it compiles without any error but does not give the desired output. it does not display even the name of the single driver although I have three loaded drivers in my system.
    By system I mean that in my PC I have previously loaded three drivers by going to the Administrative tools\ODBC Data Sources. I want my program to pick the names of those drivers that have been loaded some time back.
    So,instead of loading those drivers again in my program, I want the program to pick the names of those loaded drivers.
    the code is shown below:
    try
         Enumeration enumm=DriverManager.getDrivers();
         while(enumm.hasMoreElements())
         System.out.println(enumm.nextElement().toString());
    catch(Exception e)
         System.out.println("Error");
    }

  • MSI GT735 VGA drivers update (HD3850).

    Hi,
    VGA drivers for the MSI GT735 Ati Mobility Radeon HD3850 are now out of date...
    The ones available on MSI download site are catalyst 8.5 :
    http://eu.msi.com/index.php?func=nbdriver&maincat_no=135&prod_no=1517&driver_os_no=2#os
    The ones provided by Ati on their offcial site are not working (10.5).
    Some of the latests games I'm installing are crashing and when I'm asking for support, hotliners ask me to use the latests drivers for my video card, mines are nearly 18 monthes old, which is a long time, especially for drivers, and mostly for video drivers.
    It seems a little bit strange for a notebook of "Gaming Series"...
    More, modders like Mobility Modder.NET do not work...
    Can you help?
    Does MSI think about its fans and hardcore gamers?
    Best regards.

    Sorry!
    I just downloaded Ati Catalyst 10.5 for Ati Mobility Radeon HD 3850 and they work perfectly!!!
    They now have a section for notebooks on Ati website.
    My games are now working great, and I'm scoring 3810 in 3DMark 2006, with benchmark by default.
    This post can be removed, I didn't look at "[IMPORTANT!] Modified Vista and XP drivers for laptops with ATI & NVIDIA GPU" section of the forum before posting.
    Best regards.

  • Vga drivers

    Please help ive formatted my laptop and was able to restore some of the drivers but couldnt find the VGA drivers and the sleep on from the start button is deactivated , when connecting my laptop to a projector it doesnt show the picture. please assist.

    Hi:
    You will need to know if your notebook has the Intel graphics or AMD graphics adapter and then install the applicable driver for whichever one your notebook has.

  • Latest GX640 VGA drivers run gfx unneccesarily hot

    I installed the latest (06-21-2010) VGA drivers from the MSI website on my GX640, but I now notice that my graphics card keeps running at 405mhz/1000mhz/0.9v (clock speed/memory speed/voltage) while idling on the desktop. Normally I could clock back these settings (I set them to 150mhz/300mhz/0.9v) by messing with the profiles.xml (in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE), but Catalyst Control Center seems to ignore this file entirely since I updated. For this reason, my laptop produces a lot more heat while idling then normal (my HD5850 is about 62C while idle, normally I could keep this down to 50C). Could this be addressed somehow?

    The drivers are written and provided by ATI and MSI (or any other manufacturer) does not do any software editing on CCC.  If the updated version of CCC in that driver package ignores you manual changes for some reason, then perhaps ATI/AMD has made changes that affect the way the program handles stuff like that.  In any case, whatever the case may be (whether this is a bug nor not), MSI is not going to do any post-programming on CCC versions released by AMD/ATI.

    Driver is available in English only and in Multilingual version

    Hi,
    unfortunately this VGA BIOS is not available separately for a mobile system since the VGA BIOS is embedded in the normal BIOS. So if you want to have the latest from toshiba supported VGA BIOS then just update your machines BIOS.
    The problem is that a mobile VGA chipset has another memory and chip timings, so every manufacturer has (especially) its own version of the VGA BIOS.

    archlinux comes as a barebones system - i guess you installed some sort of desktop environment on top of it.
    if you installed the same (unity or gnome shell) that will probably not solve your problem.
    if you managed to set up an arch system with a gui, you should be able to provide us with more relevant information, so we can start troubleshooting.
    off the top of my head (or hat?) i'd say your hardware can't keep up with a full-fledged desktop environment and you should choose something more lightweight. but that's just guessing.
    I tried both gnome and unity. My GPU is Nvidia GT640 2GB DDR3, Motherboard Asus p8b75m, Cpu i3-2100. Ram 8 GB. 64GB SSD (Root is on it), 1 TB HDD (Home is on it). I don'tthink my system can't handle a full DE.

  • The \System Root\System32\drivers\NatMotion.sys device could not locate the entry point IoSetDeviceInterfaceState in driver ntoskernal.exe

    After installing version 5.1.1 of the Flexmotion driver, and installing f5 update, I got the following message after rebooting the system: The \System Root\System32\drivers\NatMotion.sys device could not locate the entry point IoSetDeviceInterfaceState in driver ntoskernal.exe. OS is Win NT. I see device in MAX , but can not initialise it, and cannot make firmware update.
    I do not se device from NT system menager.

    The instructions on the f5 update are not 100% explicit about what to do for NT. The NatMotion.sys file should not be replaced on NT systems, only on the specifically listed OSes. Uninstall and reinstall the 5.1.1 driver along with the f5 update, however only install the components that do not specifically mention a particular OS.

    Thanks for your help Karen Serena. Obviously, it appears in the list of printers and scaners on the left, into the "Print and Scan" with system preferencies. Then i click it , it appears on the right, then i click "open scanner" below the name and opens a window writing "open device failed". When i connect the scanner, it makes a sound but that's all...the scanner is dead, even if I push any button...Also there isn't any window opened to prove the function of the scanner, only is shown in the scanner list, that's all.

  • I've connected my external monitor (LG) to my new Macbook Pro 15" laptop, using the adaptor for VGA...the display now has a large black bar along the left side.  No adjustment on the monitor will fix it, no "options" on System Prefs either...any ideas?

    I've just purchased a new Macbook Pro, and connected it ot my external monitor (24" LG HD) using an Apple VGA adaptor.  The only resolution that looks good is the 1920 x 1080, but the image does not entirely fill the screen.  There is a large black gap on the left side of the screen now.  It worked fine with my "last generation" Macbook Pro...no adjustment on the monitor will help, and cannot find any System Setting in displays such as "options" or widescreen setting.  I've gone to the LG site, but no "Mac" related tech support issues come up...no forum here seems to deal with this particular issue either...any ideas?

    I have the same thing but with a 23 inch HP, worked fine with my MBP 13 from 2009 but the 2011 2.4 i5 does the exact same thing as yours!
    Very confused and hoping that some one else can help.
    Thanks

  • HT3986 I have installed windows 7 into my macbook pro 15 inch with lions.  This computer is the current 2.2 GH i7 chip with 500 GB HD.  Now, how do I install the drivers.  When I started boot camp, the system prompted me to create a CD.  What do I do with

    I have installed Windows 7 into my Macbook Pro 15 inch with Lions as operating system.  (current model with 2.2 GHz i7 processor, 500 GB HD ad 5400 rpm).  When I started with boot camp, the system promped me to create a disc, which I presume is for the drivers for windows 7.  Now windows is intalled.  What do I do with the CD that the system created for me?  Also, why does the system automatically start in Win7 instead of Lion.  I need to pression the option key to have it start in OS X.  I thought it was supposed to be the opposite.

    Insert it while you are in Windows, if it does not autostart run setup.exe.
    Choose your startup disk using Apple>System Preferences>Startup Disk (in OSX) or Control Panel>Boot Camp>Startup Disk (in Windows)

  • WHAT IS MAX RAM IN THE SYSTEM

    i was wondering off hand what is the MAX. RAM that my lenovo 9690 02u ,( 2 slot ram setup ), can handle  . i have 2 gigs right now .

    you have the 3000 J200 system. The system can support 2 gigs per ram slot, so 2 x 2 gigs = 4 gigs max.

  • Error message "The system cannot find the file specified." when reinstalling C3180 drivers

    Hello,
    I experienced scanning problems with my C3180 and the error message indicated several solutions, including to reinstall the driver.
    I worked my way through the list of fixes to this option.  I uninstalled the drivers, downloaded
    File name:
    AIO_CDA_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_130_140.exe [1/1, 290.27M]
    from www.hp.com/support and attempted to install.
    Just after the accept licensing screen, the system begins a screen with four steps, the first of which is Checking System.  Shortly after starting this, I receive the error message "The system cannot find the file specified.".  The file name may be in the message header, but I cannot determine it due to the path length.  It is off the displayed screen.  (see screen image capture)
    Closing the pop-up error message or clicking OK terminates the installation.
    I am re-installing on a Dell Latitude E6510, running Windows 7 Professional, Service Pack 1, 64 bit.  The printer was connected via USB, but I have disconnected for this stage of the install.
    I appreciate any assistance/advice you can offer.
