850W syncing with Office Outlook

I am thinking about upgrading by 700W to the 850W but have a big question.  I currently have a Verizon plan the comes with their Wireless Sync that keeps my office Outlook features synced to the PDA.  My previous carrier was Sprint and they didn't have wireless sync and this is MUCH better.  The big difference is that I get hunreds of spam each week and if my PDA gets it email AFTER it has already been filtered in Outlook I see just what is relevant and not every piece of junk that would have to be left residing on the email server so I could be the PDA email from there.
Is Windows HotSync available on the 850W so my phone will sync with my Office Outlook?
Post relates to: Treo 800w (Sprint)

I'm assuming you're referring to the Treo Pro. As it's a windows mobile device, it uses ActiveSync so no Hotsync for it. As it's only avail currently as a GSM unlocked device, no wireless sync.

If I do a search for emails that also checks the server then all of a sudden I end up with various amounts unread email with the inbox saying "Inbox 71" ..which is not true. The only way to make the inbox on the iphone back to 0 is to delete the account then re install it.
    Anyone have any ideas

  • I can sync with my outlook calendar, but cannot sync with contacts or e-mail.

I can sync with my outlook calendar, but cannot sync with contacts or e-mail.  When I click on Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars it doesn't open and reverts to the home page.  When I try to open Mail I get an error message saying "Cannot get mail.  The user name or password for Gmail is incorrect".  If I press "settings" it reverts to home page.  I was revised to restore settings which I have now done, but the problem has not been resolved. Can anyone help?
i do have a gmail account and may have used this when I first set up itunes/ipad (I'm new to Apple).  However, I want to synchronize with my Microsoft Exchange account.

It may be a bit late for your needs, but there's a sync product for Outlook (an add-in) that will sync public and private folders/calendars.  Once you have your items in a mailbox folder, the regular ios sync will bring it to your device.  It's called Add2Outlook, it's made by DidItBetter.com Software.
It syncs private and public, mailboxes and folders in any direction.  One-way, two-way, read-only or writable.  It also works with Office 365 and hosted exchange providers, if that's your situation.  It works for calendars, contacts, tasks, email, whatever.  It can even sync to PST or between two different Exchange servers.
It installs on your workstation, not on the Exchange server.

  • My iphone4 just stopped syncing with my outlook calendar any ideas for a fix?

My iphone4 just stopped syncing with my outlook calendar.  Any ideas for a fix?

My iPhone 3G and Outlook sucessfully synched everything (contacts, calendar, mail accounts, bookmarks, notes) until V 3.0 of the phone software. Then calendar would not synch no matter what. After a couple of hours on the phone with an Apple rep we discovered that when a new user account was set-up in Windows (XP SP 3), and a new instance of Outlook (Office 2003) was opened in that account the Calendar in the new account would sync. However, when the calendar from the old account was imported into the new account (via .pst export / import), it still wouldn't sync. At that point the Apple rep had no more help to offer. After much offline troubleshooting on my own I found a solution that at least worked for me by the following steps:
    1) create a new mail account through: Control Panel | Category View | User Accounts | Mail (Add a new account, don't copy the old one)
    2) don't know whether this step is necessary, but since the "old" .pst file was 1997-02, I exported / imported it into a 2003 Personal Folders .pst file, and then replaced the .pst file on the "new" mail account with the "updated" .pst file from the "old" mail account.
    3) opened the new mail account and exported all Calendar appointments into an Excel file
    4) in Calendar view of Outlook selected: View | Arrange By | Current View | By Category, then did an Edit | Select All and deleted all appointments.
    5) then using File | Import / Export, imported the Excel file of appointments into Calendar,
    6) open iTunes, select Preferences | Devices and Reset Synch History
    7) under Info select only the Calendar Sync option and the option to replace the Calendar information on the phone with the new Calendar.
The calendar now properly updates (several regualr updates have since been tried). One small annoyance (but preferable to not syncing) the recurring aspect of any appointment (not the appointment itself) is lost, along with any color formatting, but those are easily fixed up afterward.

  • IOS7 syncing with MS Outlook 2010 no longer syncs all the contact information

With the new iOS7 on an iPhone 4s, syncing with MS Outlook 2010 on win XP, the phone no longer syncs all the contact information as it used to before I updated to iOS7 and iTunes 11.1, and now ignores the "Home" addresses I have on Outlook.  It also apprears to miss some other bits of information too, but the home addresses are key for when I am away from the computer. How can I resolve this syncing error? Thank you.

The same thing is happening to me since upgradng to iOS7, although I am syncing contacts with Mac contacts, not Outlook.

  • How do I set up my iphone to sync with my outlook account?

How do I set up my iphone to sync with my outlook account?

    Hi maryannmc,
                          You have two options.
    1. You can plug the iPhone into iTunes and select the "Info" tab and choose "Sync Mail Accounts" and this will transfer the settings across.
    2. In the iPhone you can go to Settings > General > Mail, Contacts and Calendars and choose "Add account"
You will need to know if your account is POP, IMAP or Exchange and this will help determine what settings you need to enter and how to set it up so both your computer and iPhone can receive email.
The iPhone can add most popular accounts with ease such as gmail, yahoo or hotmail.
    Hope this helps,

  • Is there an App that will sync with microsoft outlook calender?

Is there an App that will sync with microsoft outlook calender?

OK here is a problem I have with my calender- all the events are added mutible times for each event- at least 4 of each. So how do I get all of these mutiable events down to just one event. Now this also includes hollidays and personel events  on the calender from outlook. All this I think happened after sync to Cloud- not sure, could have happened after OS 5 update!!! Now this is on my iPhone 4. Now going to my calender on my home computer in outlook no events or holidays are showing in the outlook my calender. If I go to the icloud calender it has mutiable events and holidays like on my iPhone. Now how do I fix this without causing a problem with my other programs?

  • NOKIA N8 sync with MS Outlook 2007

I have a Nokia E72. I can directly sync with my MS Outlook via Nokia PC Sync. This syncronises my Contacts, Calendar, Notes, Bookmarks and (very importantly) File and Folder items. (I am running Windows 7.)
I would like to upgrade to a Nokia N8. Will the Nokia N8 directly sync with MS Outlook via Nokia PC Sync and syncronise ALL these items in the same simple manner as the E72 does. And without any internet connection or reference to Ovi?
If anyone can help me with this it would be most appreciated. Thanks.

I am using N8 and MS Outlook 2010 (Windows 7): sync is directly made via nokia suite without any internet connection. You can sync contacts, calendar, notes, bookmarks and a copy is stored in nokia suite too. It is also possible to sync images and music (not via MS Outlook) but I do not think you can sync other folders or files.
    I hope this can help

  • Cannot Sync With Office 2010

Office 2010 has been released to Technet, schools, and other organizations. Maybe RIM should think about pulling one of their dusty programmers out of the closet to write a snippet of code so we can actually sync with Office 2010? I really getting sick of lookinbg at the "no message store" errors. Makes me want to buy a *real* smartphone.

The issue may be that Nokia bought the third party company that was doing the synch under Blackberry.
Blackberry: You need to fix that problem or switch to another third party. You may otherwise see a vast exodus to Android based phone.
I hope you have not come to be too big to care about your customers.

It seems you are posting this same information all over our forums. We welcome your input, but it's not really necessary to say the same thing over and over. Trust us...they get it. • Putting pressure on BB/Rim to reintroduce USB syncing with Microsoft Outlook

Is there some way that we can put pressure on BB/Rim to reintroduce USB syncing with Microsoft Outlook? I work in a world where over-the-air or cloud services are unacceptable because of the security risks, either real or perceived. I know there are many other people like me. I can't believe that, after having made such monumentally stupid and high-profile mistakes in the past, BB/Rim has now decided to alienate so many loyal BB customers by dispensing with such a simple transfer mechanism. The Z10 is a beautiful machine but the lack of synchronicity is getting in the way of my doing business. Judging by some of the posts I've seen, there are quite a lot of others who feel the same way. Assuming that BB/Rim executives were not  drunk, stoned or brainstem dead when they came up with this stupid plan to do away with USB syncing, is there any action we can take to make BB/Rim aware of the rapidly escalating damage they are doing to their own brand? After all, if the Z10 fails, it's difficult to see what long-term future there will be for the company anyway, so you would think that BB/Rim wouldn't want to chuck their future away, would you?

The best way is to call O2 and ask for this issue to be escalated to BlackBerry Tech Support, they need to hear from the carriers as well.
I'd also drop a line to BlackBerry at www.blackberry.com/contact

my iphone calendar wont sync with my outlook calendar. My inbox seems to be syncing just fine, its just that my iphone calendar is not showing the same events i have in outlook.

    Hi
I have the a similar problem - only I can't actually get the calendar to show up. I've added the account and it's showing Mail and Notes but not Calendar. But I'd like it to show the outlook calendar.
    I'm going to
Go to settings > mail contacts calendar
    select your account that's affected
But under that account there isn't a calendar showing and I can't see any options to add it?

we have multiple local Active Directory forest which need to be sync with Office 365 E1 plan, how we can do that?

    Hiya,
you need to use either FIM or AAD. I would recommend the AAD, even though it's in beta, it will properly be a better choice.
