8520 Black Screen then reboot

Ive only recently started to get this problem, basically my blackberry will just reboot it self without no warnings or anything, it will go to a black screen with the LED flashing red twice before resenting itself, ive looked around and found no solution to this problem and i have tried a battery pull and even left it for 5 minutes without the battery but the this problem keeps re-occuring. Also lately i havent been able to recieve calls and call anyone with it sending me straight to answer phone and also with mine i dont know if this is a problem with my supplier (which is t-mobile) But i can still get through after a few attempts. I have had this model since August so its still new.
Any help would be apprciated thanks

Greetings, and welcome to the forums!
Do you have a media card installed? If so, try removing it and rebooting the phone to see if that makes a difference.
You might also try removing the sim card and rebooting to see if your sim card is the problem.

  • Macbook pro continuously black screening and rebooting-any solutions?

Ever since upgrading OS to Mountain Lion there have been numerous times when waking the Macbook, it goes to black screen and reboots.  Several times it has rebooted then immediately shut down and rebooted again.  I am also running Paralles 9 which I needed to install after upgrading to the OS 6 operating system.  Has anyone else had this problem and is there an easy fix?

    You might try this:
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

I leave it charging until it gets back to full, usually it turns on after a little bit of time after plugging it in, but all its doing is going to the apple logo screen and going blank again.

No, sounds like when you dropped it an cracked the screen it may have also damaged the logic board or the repair person damaged a cable.

    Hi
Seems to be an issue with the Memory slot which need to replaced. In case if you unit is still cover by the warranty i would request you to call HP Technical support and get the System Board replaced.
Let us know how it goes!

Sorry meant to add , have you tried re-setting your BIOS to Default just to make sure 100% that your BIOS setting is not causing an issue .

Do you have AppleCare? Even if you don't, take to the Apple store and tell them what happened. They should help even though it's a few months out of warranty. You might have to talk to a manager or different higher up.

Hmm. The problem still may be the RAM - Apple buys the RAM it puts in its machines from third-party vendors (usually Hynix) so it could be a RAM problem.
There are a couple of things that you can do yourself before taking your machine into an Apple Store or an AASP... download and run an application named Rember that will run a RAM test for you - let it run for a couple of hours or even overnight. If it turns out that your RAM is faulty, Rember will let you know. If it is faulty, then you have a couple of options - replace the RAM yourself or (particularly if you're under warranty still) take the machine to an Apple Store or AASP and have them replace the RAM.
If Rember finds no fault with the RAM, then you'll need to take it into an Apple Store/AASP and get a free diagnosis on the machine. Three beeps do usually indicate faulty RAM, but if it tests good with Rember you likely have another problem - it could be something as simple as the RAM, somehow, not seated correctly or signs of another hardware problem.
Run Rember first... call back with results.
    Good luck,
    Clinton

  • Computer, black Screen and reboot problem

I have problems with my computer black screening and rebooting randomly recently. Tried a few things like downgrading the nvidia drivers and only using one monitorscreen.
I was using version 347.52 but downgraded to 344.11 but still got the problem
The times this happens can be anytime but happens most often while i'm playing games and at the moment i'm only playing on normal graphics while my graphics card should be well good enough to handle ultra graphics.
I used this program "WhoCrashed" and got this crash report:

  • Black screen on reboot from windows to mac?

    Hello,
A black screen is stalking me... I'd be much obliged if anyone can help.
    The problem:
I have Windows 7 installed with Bootcamp. Every time I shut down / restart from  Windows  to get to the Mac side, the chime rings, but the screen stays black. I can tell the Mac is running though, because of the sound I hear when I press the volume up/down keys on the keyboard. Then, at some point (5 - 30 - 60 mins later) the computer decides out of nowhere it's time to unveil the desktop... This never happens when I reboot from the Mac side (unless I force shutdown while the black screen is still there).
Things I tried that didn't work:
    - Command-Option-P-R to reset NVRAM (worked once but didn't fix it, and now when I try the screen stays black)
    - Resetting SMC
    - Apple Diagnostics came back with no issues found (when I restarted after the diagnostics, I got hit with the black screen again...)
    - Erasing the Windows partition and reinstalling it.
    Things I should probably mention:
The mac is a late 2013 iMac, Intel Core i5 with NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M, running OSX 10.9.1
I apologize if this has an obvious solution I somehow missed, or if it was answered in another post.
    Thanks for your time.

One way is to wipe the iPod clean and use it as a hard drive to carry the files over to the new comptuer. You must format the iPod in what's called Fat32, the older formatting for DOS. If you do this on a Mac, you use the Disk Utility to Erase the disk, and you choose MS-DOS for the format.
Then you plug in the iPod to the Mac, drag the iTunes Music folder to the iPod disk. Then you plug it into the Windows machine and drag the files to your iTunes folder there. See some instructions here:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300173
On the other hand, you might try using a 3rd party program that takes songs off the iPod. But Windows doesn't read the Mac files, I bet they won't help you move the music cross-platform.
    Hope this helps...

  • Fglrx install = black screen on reboot, cannot access any gui or cli.

    Lenovo T60
    ATI X1400
    Core2Duo 2.0Ghz
i installed fglrx, and selected it in the xorg.conf, then rebooted, and didnt even get to GDM, all black, so i reboot, go into the failsafe option in grub, and still get a black screen, no text nothing.
What should I do? I really don't want to reinstall i just spent a while doing arch Linux for the first time, and like it so far.

Thanks, but i get a kernel panic

Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
    btw, im using Reiserfs
if u got a kernel panic then U need to change the device to the one your arch partition is installed on. change the /dev/sdxx line. kernel panic means that it can't find the root file system to sync too. Or at least that is my understanding. If its not sda1 then what else is it? Its your pc u tell us, where did u install the arch partition to?
I'd say from the sounds of it, whatever is on sda1 partition is a ext2 FS, u need to find the reiserFS, but I may be wrong. Maybe u can't boot like that. Someone with some more experience will need to offer more help. But, if u can't then that's one reason why I don't use resierFS.
I have read before about some reason's why u would wanna keep the /boot partition ext3 for a reason, this was one of them.
