870-C45 driver disc

Hello, just joined.
Just put a new HDD into my machine and loaded XP, then put the MB driver disc in and it did not autoplay so its click an icon to install drivers. Seemed ok, after each  driver install got a message that XYZ driver has installed..............
But, internet explorer will not load as if there is no network or connection.  ( Same set up worked fine for 2 years before this drive failed and its the only thing changed)
BUT Microsoft can connect and download when it wants an update  so I know there is a connection. Any thoughts on this~? I need IE7 so I can get Firefox on!
PS there is a pcie lan card installed as well as the onboard lan, so maybe I need to make sure that the onboard one is enabled. Was using the pcie one before I installed the new drive.
Have I answered my own question or am I missing something on the driver install?

Thanks Svet.
I noticed that when trying to open IE and getting the error message that it could not connect to the site it was actually opening a splash page for MSN with todays date......then the error message as if there was no connection. I noticed on that page an option to use the BING search engine...so I typed in google hit enter and the google home page opened so then downloaded firefox.
Seems the problem was that the old copy of XP I installed laoded IE6 and that it no longer supported by MS
Alls well now anyway, back with Firefox and running sweet

  • My G4 can't read the printer driver disc of my BRAND NEW HP All-in-One

I am tearing my hair out on this one. I had an older HP AIO that died on me yesterday, so I ran out and bought a spanking new version, the C4280. I don't recall having any problem setting up the older printer (a psc 1315) and I can't remember whether I installed the driver from the disc or the website. Anyway, I got to Step 11, connected the USB cord as instructed, put in the disc, and my little mushroom whirred in a whisper for about 30 seconds, then spat out the disc. I tried again, unplugged, rebooted, yadda yadda, every config. I could think of, and I still got the whhrrrrwhirrrr, SPIT. I called HP and the 4280 is so new they don't have the drivers up on the website yet, so the very nice Canadian techie verfied that yes, there was only one CD for both Windows AND Mac, and yes, my G4 could read other CDs (my LaCie)--but strangely enough NOT the printer driver for the original psc 1315, which got the same whirrrr-SPIT treatment. So either I originally got the driver off the website, or my G4 has lost some critical cells since then. Now I have occasionally had trouble reading commercial DVDs--I get told they're a blank disc. But I never even made it to that stage with this printer driver disc.
The upshot is they are FedExing me a new printer driver disc tomorrow, this one apparently made especially for MACs. But I'm nervous because of what happened when I tried to put the old psc 1315 driver disc in.
    Any thoughts?

  • Boot Camp won't make a Windows XP driver disc, OS X disc only works with Win7

First time Mac user. Just got a new Macbook Pro.
I have successfully installed Windows XP on the Mac using Boot Camp. But I need the driver disc. The right mouse button doesn't even work and Windows is impossible to navigate without that. The disc eject button does not work, one has to eject a disc using laborious menus. Very frustrating.
When I run Boot Camp it only has the option to make a Windows 7 driver disc. I don't see any way to make a driver disc for Windows XP.
Everywhere I have searched on the Net the information says to put the OS X Leopard disc in the drive when WinXP is running and it will automatically install drivers. When I try that a window comes up saying it only works with Windows 7.
This web site shows screen shots of a Beta version of Boot Camp that makes Windows XP drivers discs.
    http://www.askdavetaylor.com/how_do_i_install_windows_xp_on_my_mac_using_boot_ca mp_1.html
How can I make a Windows XP driver disc?
I really hope Apple didn't discontinue/eliminate the option to make a Windows XP driver disc altogether, forcing everyone to use Windows 7 only...
Is there a way to install an older version of Boot Camp over the latest version I'm running? Where would I find it?
    Macbook Pro
    OS X 10.6.7
    Boot Camp 3.0.4
Thank you for your time in helping me on this.

The retail OS X 10.6.3 DVDs unlike your OEM DVD does have a complete set of drivers for $29 w/o having to deal with questionable bitorrent.
Microsoft EOL'd XP and Vista SP1.
Your Mac has Intel Thunderbolt and you don't see Apple doing backward compatibility. You can't run 10.5 on new Mac. So yes it comes with those limitations, but XP is also 20x more vulnerable, IE9 is more secure and XP has not kept up with the latest hardware, besides which I don't see a place or need for a 32-bit OS, any platform today.

  • Boot Camp Mac Driver Disc Error

    Hello,
So, I got through most of the Boot Camp process but right at the end I had an error. I originally burned the driver disc onto a CD. After installing windows and starting it up I popped in the driver disc and it started downloading the drivers. Then all of a sudden a window pops up that reads:
    Feature Transfer Error
Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation
Consult Windows Installer Help (msi.chm) or MSDN for more information.
So, I figured it was an error with the driver disc. I figured I would create another by logging onto OSX. I tried restarting the computer from Windows and everything just froze. I ended up having to manually restart my iMac. I then logged onto OSX and this time burned the drivers onto a DVD. Well, I got the same results. Same error at the same point in the driver download into Windows.
This is just reminding me how frustrating Windows can be. I am stumped on what to try next, and Windows still freezes when I attempt to shutdown or restart.
    Is anyone else experiencing this?
    Thanks!
    -Matt

Error 1603 is a generic machine-specific issue. One or more of the following fixes resolve the error.
    1. This error is known to occur on computers that do not have enough disk space for the installation.
    2. The Temp directory is not clean.
    3. A certain file on the machine is locked. To fix this, close all applications running in the background. Reboot computer and run the installation again.
    4. Use Microsoft Windows Installer Cleanup utility by clicking on the following link: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301 to remove traces of previous installations. This utility does not remove files installed by the installation, which may need to be removed manually. Go to the following Microsoft link to download the Microsoft Windows Installer Cleanup Utility.

Thank you for your support, Jeff!
Had to download again and this time did not have any problems in opening it.
I do feel frustrated with the uninspiring gray background of this software
and a few other things and would like to switch to some other software that
is more for DESIGNING than for fixing and editing photos.
For instance, which software would have the ability to create greeting

     What more do we need?
How about all of the parts in your PC, that's what. We don't ask just to be a PITA. If you want help we need to know what parts you have including brand names and model names/numbers. Example is your remark about PSU, 500W means almost nothing by itself, more important is what brand it is and amps on the +12V rail(s).
See my signature below for example of the kind of information to provide.

  • New T61p -- driver disc?

Pardon my ignorance, but this is only the 2nd computer I've purchased.  When I had an HP they supplied me a driver disc with all the necessary programs to run that came with my computer.  I didn't get one with my Lenovo.
I bought the computer with Vista Basic and I wanted to downgrade to XP Pro (through my school) and I want to make sure that I can still use the fingerprint reader and wireless stuff, etc.
Surely once I install XP over the formatted drive, they will be gone.  How can I get a disc or find some place to re-download these?
Sorry if this has been asked before.
    Thanks!

or, you can download thinkvantage system update and let it do the work for you:

hint: option #2 is much easier.

  • Desperate for driver disc ms-6309

I need to acquire a copy of the driver disc for an ms-6309 ver.2.1 board. I have no sound  no matter what drivers I use.
    All help is appreciated

The MSI driver disks are not board specific, they have all the drivers and the autorun detects which are needed at the time it is run.
You can copy any MSI board CD you wish in general, but the newer ones might not have the older drivers so you could look for older versions from friends or shops if you don't want to download them.

  • MSI 870-C45 with HD5770

    Hi,
I have question about motherboard 870-C45. Does this MB support VGA card Radeon HD 5770? Concretely Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 1GB DDR5 11163-17-20G?
I have tried to find at MSI 870-C45 page on MSI.com, but I can not find information about supported new VGA.
    Thanks

I read on Saphire web page that HD5770 requires min. 450 W So what is true? I discuss about PSU with one of the best PC company in our country and they say: it is OK to have 400 W Seasonic

  • So what happens if you lost your driver disc? S

My brother had future shop install soundblaster card and didnt get the driver disc. Now he cant install his sound card because he has no drivers. Needless to say these drivers seem to be too precious imo. So what do people do what have lost their drivers?
IS there somewhere to download them? And what is teh point of not providing that service? I consider this a total turn off as now I figure I better hold onto my driver disc because its as valuable as the sound card, isnt that rediculous?
I tried using my platinum z disc but it wont recognize his sound card.

I did manage to find SB drivers that work, but it was a few months ago (last reformat) I found them burned on a disc. It didnt come come from a Creative web site though but **bleep** if I can remember where or I would give you all a heads up.
I consider this driver issues extremely poor service. What are alternates to creative products? I actually never heard of any other name brand sound cards, but I dont think I'll buy another creative product.

My CPU successful works on GA-MA770-UD3 (rev2.0).
